| XWA is live in San Diego, California as the usual pyros go off at the beginning of the show.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to XWA Vendetta! We're just one week removed from the incredible triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Champion between then Champion Hitman Alex, Cerberus and current Champion Danny Diamond. Danny is now a two-time World Heavyweight Champion following his huge victory last week, when he made the big man, Cerberus, tap out!"
Joey Miles
"I still say that was bullshit. Cerberus was swatting a fly."
Fort Minor's "Petrified" instrumental hits the PA System, as the audience bursts into cheers. Danny Diamond makes his way onto the entrance stage, dressed casually with the XWA World Heavyweight Championship worn across his waist and a microphone in his hand. He has a bandage on his forehead, the result of him getting busted open via a shot to the head with a television monitor from Cerberus during his match last week.
Joey Miles
"Speaking of this fuck."
Ted Cedar
"It seems we're going to hear from the new World Heavyweight Champion to kick off our broadcast today!"
Joey Miles
"Yaaaaaaaaay. He says sarcastically."
Danny, sporting his usual confident grin, makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with fans in attendance as he does so. Upon reaching the squared circle, he jogs up the steel steps and enters through the ropes. Danny waits for the fans to quiet down a bit before speaking.
Danny Diamond
"Last week, I took on Hitman Alex and Cerberus for the World Heavyweight Championship. As you can clearly see by looking at my waist, I won. I am your new World Heavyweight Champion and, damn, I feel good!"
The fans cheer again.
Danny Diamond
"Sure, I'm suffering some noticeable battle scars, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I'm a two-time World Heavyweight Champion. And I can guarantee you, nobody is going to 'injure' me and force the officials to take this Championship away from me this time. I'm Champion and it's gonna stay that way for a long, long time. Now, I'm sure you've all heard the news. Robert Hope and Cerberus, they're gone. They left. Why? Who knows. Maybe because Cerberus couldn't beat me for this Championship last week. Maybe because Robert Hope couldn't beat me at Revolutionary Wars. I don't know. What I do know is they left behind two very important men. So, right now, I would like to politely ask the remaining members of The Hopeful, Azrael and my good friend Rob Chapman, to come to this ring. Come on, don't be shy."
Ted Cedar
"Danny is calling out the remaining Hopeful members? This might not be the smartest move."
Joey Miles
"Hopefully they kick his British ass."
The audience quiets down for a bit, until they see two men step onto the stage. These two men are, not shockingly, Azrael and Rob Chapman, whom get showered with boos from the audience. Danny motions for the fans to calm down.
Danny Diamond
"Come on guys, warm welcomes here. No need to be hostile."
Rob and Azrael slowly make their way to the ring, seeming very confused as to why Danny is calling them out to the ring. They enter the squared circle and stand a good few feet away from the World Heavyweight Champion.
Danny Diamond
"Hey there, guys. Azrael. Rob. Long time no see, ey buddy? So, you're both probably wondering why I called you out here, yes? I've been thinking about it a lot. About you guys, The Hopeful. Your message. You go after those with no hope, with no future. You've already taken out the likes of David Michaels. But, you know what I think? I think you were under the wrong leadership. See, Robert, he's fake. He's a liar. He claims to be the great Kanimaniac, but we all know that isn't true. And, sure enough, when things got too tough for him, he bailed. He took his three hundred plus pound behemoth and bailed. He's the exact type of person you should've been targeting all around. But I will give credit where it's due. He was right."
The audience gets quiet, not sure where Danny is going with this.
Danny Diamond
"People with no hope for their future, the David Michaels, the DC Hennigs, the Riley Williamsons...They don't deserve to be here. People living on past glories or even having no glories in either direction of their life. We need to focus on the future. I'm the World Heavyweight Champion right now, but I can mold you two. I can make you two better than you've ever been! That's why I'm going to propose this. The Hopeful may have lost its former leader, but that doesn't mean it can't have a new one. I propose you two join me. Let me lead you into the future. I won't drop out on you like Robert did. I won't fail you, like he did. Let me save you from mediocrity."
The audience begins booing as Danny offers to lead the remaining Hopeful members.
Ted Cedar
"What?! Danny can't be serious right now!"
Joey Miles
"He's finally doing something good and you say he can't be serious?! Fuck off, you fat shit."
Danny Diamond
"So? What do you guys think? Will you accept me as your one and only savior?"
The two men look at each other, before redirecting their attention to Danny. With the fans continuing to boo lightly, Azrael nods his head.
Danny Diamond
"Excellent. And you, Rob?"
Rob stares Danny dead in the eyes, not moving an inch or even blinking. Suddenly, "The Silent Protagonist" swipes the microphone straight out of Danny's hand, knocking it onto the ring canvas! The fans actually cheer for this act from Rob, despite not liking his recent attitude. Danny and Rob continue to stare each other down, until Danny finally cracks a smile, letting out a light laugh. He bends over and picks he microphone up.
Danny Diamond
"That wasn't very polite. You could've hurt my hand. I need that for punching people. But I get it. I really do. You want me to prove that I am good enough to be your leader. Apparently being the World Heavyweight Champion isn't enough proof. Fine. How's this, dear old friend? Tonight, me and you, one on one. If I win, you join me and Azrael. If you win, do whatever the hell you want. Deal?"
Rob simply nods in agreement.
Danny Diamond
"Excellent. See you then, Robert."
Danny grins at Rob before his music begins to play. "The Prized Gem" and Azrael exit the ring together, leaving Rob behind.
Ted Cedar
"I can't believe what we just witnessed! Danny has joined forces with Azrael and will face Rob tonight, forcing Rob to join with them if he wins! What the hell is Danny thinking?!"
Joey Miles
"He's thinking he's had enough of being a pawn for these fans and he's gonna do some real work to improve the future of this company, whether they like it or not. That's what he's thinking!"
The scene fades out to the first commercial break of the show.
