Demento Rises to the Occasion!
After having a less than spectacular debut last week against Rellim Strife, not many had hope that the Dave Demento would have it in him to take down E.G. Deal.  Especially considering the Egyptians path of destruction going into the match.  However, the inspiration of his nephew at home seems to have played a very strong factor for the XWA newcomer, as he showed amazing resilience against the Destiny Holder.  Can he keep up this momentum heading into Retaliation?  And better yet, how is E.G. Deal going to react to his loss, all will be answered at XWA's first Revenge branded PPV!

Diamond outlasts the Legend!
With the return of Jeremy Paisley, many question the XWA hall of famer's credibility at this point having returned many times in the recent past.  However, he lived up to his words as he pushed Danny to a war inside the ring.  Not to because he wants or needs to relive his past, but to entertain the fans, and put on a show in the ring.  However, he's not the only one who lived up to his words as Danny Diamond once again impressed as he proved to once again still have the better resolve.  But with trouble brewing mentally as well with his family.  What shape is the Prized Gem going to be in come time for his finals match with Nick Legend?

Legend Remains on Top!
As Retaliation looms closer, lots of people are anxious, however, one surprising man is no longer so.  Nick Legend has all the makings of a future champion, and he continues to prove it every week.  However, as he ditches his mentor, what might his results come to when he faces Danny next week?  However, in other news, Chandler has been taken out!  Immediately following Chandler's loss to Legend, Alex Madsen made his surprise return to the ring.  With not a bit of an explanation, he entered the ring, and took down the once main event hopeful.  Why is Madsen back?  Who knows, but one things for sure, he's made quite the impact at just the right time.  What will Madsen do next?

Graded Results!

Just a note, Razor since you're the only one who won via no-show, if you would like any feedback prior to Retaliation, just let me know and I'll get it to you.

E.G. Deal vs. Dave Demento

E.G. Deal: I like that you're giving E.G. this side where he's talking to himself pretty much.  It gives the impression that he knows that he's disappointed in the past and needs to remind himself of what he can do.  A very good way to bring a character forward, however.  The biggest problem I see here is that despite this, you aren't really progressing him forward with any goals.  Just stating that he's the best isn't going to show him off.  He needs another side to him I should say.  We've seen him as the monster, we've seen him as an arrogant athlete. That doesn't help any one really connect with what he's after.  So while this was a good way of getting a peek inside his thoughts.  I think you should try to find a way to flesh out the character next card.  AS with the lack of major storylines going on (though you and Proggy have of course got one started, but that's a Vendetta thing, I think?) You just need to avoid getting repetitive though, that's a major point here.

Dave Demento: I really enjoyed this rp, getting a real insight on some of Demento's motivations going into the company, what he plans to do.  I really enjoyed it.  That, and it opens a lot of doors with where you can take him into the future, which I think a few more people need to do here.  As, not only did you find a real reason why Dave would care about this match in particular, you gave your character direction, and that's the part I really liked.  With his goal to be the best hero in XWA for his nephew.  That's probably one of the more unique ideas I've seen.  So I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where you take this one, very good job.

Winner: This one will be going to Dave Demento, as I feel like he did more for his character this week while still keeping it relevant to the show as well as his match.  A very good work there, good job guys.

Danny Diamond vs. Jeremy Paisley

Danny Diamond:A very surprising rp for someone who nearly no-showed a few hours before, but great nonetheless.  Like how you're advancing with the doubts with Mirage, as nothing in this promo states that he's truly involved with any of it.  For all Danny knows, and from what he says, it's simply someone fucking with him.  Trying to get into his head.  But the implication that Mirage could have something to do with it is what really makes this interesting for me.  I am very much looking forward to what you do with this series of promos.  You pretty much stepped it up for the finals, and if your rp next card is like this, you have a very good chance of nailing it.

Jeremy Paisley: I can tell you rushed this, as of course you wrote it yesterday.  While I'm not going to make choices off spelling and grammar, try to look over your work in the future to notice some of the stuff you type.  You referred to Brian Johnson as Brain a few times, and as a her.  And while I don't mind a good gender joke about Johnson, I don't think that should be in the description.  The actual content of the rp was good though.  I liked that you had Johnson question Jeremy's return due to his past returns to the ring.  The idea that he might simply be washed up.  And that Paisley doesn't care if that's where it goes.  He simply wants to be in the ring.  A good way to welcome him back, even if I must admit the ultra violent background was a bit more of the same.  I'll just wait to see where you take him over the next few cards though, as I'm sure you can move forward with him.

Winner: This one is going to have to go to Danny Diamond, as I feel you get more out of his work than with Jeremy's.  Remember Bull, RP fedding is about the storylines, and characters, a bit more than just the violence and the smack talk. Danny's overall storyline was what clinched him the victory here, so I highly recommend you find a direction for Jeremy in the next few cads.

Also congrats to Snoopz, and good luck against Razor at Retaliation!
