PostSubject: Re: M11. The Logging Crew vs. Cultural Experience   M11. The Logging Crew vs. Cultural Experience EmptySat Jul 19, 2014 10:02 pm

Big Jim starts things off with the ex-world champ, who gives the ropes a few test bounces by way of warm up, before locking up with the Black Rapids brute.  Jim rears back and easily sends the smaller man flying across the ring, tumbling into the bottom rope and nearly becoming entangled.  The Taco Bell Warrior is slow to get to his feet, as his woodsy adversary urges him to rise.  With a hand on the ropes, he does so, letting Jim cool off a little by taking his time.  He gets himself into the corner and charges out to meet the Canadian again.  This lock-up is even briefer than the first, and Diveraz is hurdled backward, almost falling over the top strand to the floor below.  Jim stampedes toward him, his arm uplifted in order to deliver some great clubbing blow, but the Mexican is quick to exit, leaving only the turnbuckle pad to absorb the wrath of the woodsman.  Safely on the other side of the squared circle, Diveraz takes an opportunity to confer with his partner, while Big Jim pulls at the ropes in disgust.

Well I’m not seeing too much ring culture from these guys in the experience Teddy.

They’re slow to start in this one, but give them time and they will surprise you.

The 157-pounder goes back to the well for a third time, but managed to grab a headlock on his larger opponent.  Feeling the Mexican’s arms grating at the sides of his cranium, Jim forces both himself and Diveraz into the ropes and manages to extricate himself with a mighty shove, sending his quarry dashing to the far side of the ring.  When the ropes return Diveraz, Big Jim steps to him with a shoulder block that puts him back into control.  Growling like the beast he is, Jim forces his opposition to ropes.  Firing him to the opposite side and setting up for a clothesline, the twisted timber slayer is thrown when Señor Beaner ducks the lariat, and catches air off the near ropes to deliver a high cross body.  Big Jim is not moved however, catching the smaller man and holding him, only until Takumi launches a dropkick off the top, which cause Jim to crackle and drop like the majestic larch.  Dog-piling Jim only gets the Experience a two count, but it’s apparent the tide of the match has shifted.

There you are Joey, that’s an impressive showing!

That’s double-teaming….

The man from Osaka quickly grabs an arm wringer on the ascendant logger, the referee totally unaware of the lack of a tag on the part of the Experience.  Takumi continues twisting the tattooed arm in order to deprive Jim of one of his most potent weapons.  Pulling the wounded woodcutter to his corner the thirty-year-old makes a tag, holding out Jim’s twisted arm so his Mexican compatriot can crash down upon it.  Diveraz picks up on the arm wringer again and, ducking a wild clothesline attempt by Jim, counters with a few choice shots to the chops.  Once again the Cultural Experience switches combatants legally and then makes good use of the 5-second DQ count in order to wrench on both of Jim’s arms.  The Sou’West savage calls on his strength though and pulls both his lighter foes into each other, drawing both a dull thud and the sympathetic cries of the crowd.  Greedy, Jim hazards a double clothesline, but comes up short.  Having charged through the midst of the opposing team, Jim terms only to be met with a pair of reverse crescent kicks that his head ringing.  A similar fate awaits an over anxious Cletus, who barges into the ring in aid of his partner.  A pair of double clotheslines then clears the ring of the Crew and leaves the Japexicans awash in the adulation of the crowd.

Again, they’re using the illegal double team; it’s smart, no doubt, but the ref shouldn’t be letting it go.

The official clearing taking a more laxed view Joe, no one wants to see this one end with a DQ.

The fan favourites allow their foes a few minutes of respite, before backing off enough so as to invite them to return to the fray.  The lumbermen do, Big Jim slipping under the ropes and promptly tags the Beaubear Bruiser.  Cletus surveys Diveraz with a steely gaze before doubling him over with a well-placed kick to the gut.  Grabbing a front facelock, pine island powerhouse smashes his forearm down across the back of the former world titlist.  The Irish whips sends Diveraz off, he ducks a feral clothesline attempt and makes the blind tag to his partner.  He then sets up a hurricanrana, straddling the head of the lumberjack.  The move is brought off with the help of the new legal man, Takumi Sanu.  With Cletus’ head between his knees, MexiMelt uncorks a few choice shorts to the upper part of the birler’s melon, before jogging out of the ring in order that  Sanu and take over.  The man from Japan clasps Cletus’s arm, but loses focus ever so slightly; more than long enough for the beast of bonnie Beaubears to free himself with a stiff jab or two.  A few clubbing blows across the back and Cletus is ready to hit a big clothesline, but the whip goes awry, and his arm sails harmlessly over Takumi’s head.  The Japanese grappler makes the tag to his mate, slides under the legs of the bigger man and takes up position behind him.  When Cletus absorbs a full-impact standing dropkick from the Mystic Midget, he stumbles backward, only to fall over a quadruped Sanu, who, not officially legal, follows up with a schoolboy for one count.

They’re making the Logging Crew look like fools out there.

Not a difficult feat, but they’d best be sure they aren’t just pissing the big guys off with all this fun and games.

Cletus, clearly flustered, gets to his feet, turning just in time to catch Sento-Ki coming off the ropes.  He drives the smaller man into the canvas with a vicious spinebuster.  Grasping him by the hair, he raises him up and shoots him to the ropes, back-dropping him high into the air, only to watch his descent to the match and soak in the crowd’s dismay at the sickening crash the 210-pounder’s body makes as it collides with the canvas.  A cover from Cletus gets only a two, and Takumi is eager to get his feet under him, whether or not he should.  As it turns out, he likely should not have been so keen, as the river forks rambler snatches him up once more, only to drive him into the mat with a scoop slam.  Cletus goes for the cover again, but this time Diveraz rushes into the ring and gives the whistle punk a kick in order to break up the fall.  As Cletus chases him back across the ring, with the official in tow, Big Jim takes the opportunity to enter things once more and throttle Takumi while all the others are occupied.

What do you call that Joe?

I call it, ‘what’s good for the goose is good for the gander’.  If these little fellas want to play lumberjack, well they’ll have to handle their end of the log.

Once everything regularizes, Cletus drags the supine form of Sanu into Logging Crew territory before making the tag.  Before the referee can show the larger of the two out though, the woodsmen share their culture, in the form, of a double helping of double axe handles.  Jim sends Raitoningu to the buckle, and follows up with a big boot that sends him to the outside.  While Cletus draws fire from the referee, as well as from Diveraz, Jim scoots to the outside and snatches up his fallen prey.  Hold him across his chest, he rams Sanu’s back into the post, before throwing him back inside.  The referee just after gaining control of everything, he watches as Jim plows over Takumi with a lariat and counts the Osaka native’s shoulders down for two seconds thereafter, much to Big Jim’s chagrin.  Jim decides to give Cletus another crack at picking up the win, but the larger logger finds a newly resurgent Sanu in the ring, doggedly returning the big man’s shots, blow for blow.  When it’s clear that Cletus’ shots have a good deal more mustard on them, Takumi still won’t back down, leaping into his aggressor’s arms and loosing a flurry of punches.  Cletus merely absorbs the blows, grips tight, and strides to his own corner, where Big Jim his more than happy to work over the Japanese grappler’s kidneys.  Cletus synchs I the bearhug, as the smaller man calls out to crowd for support, and receives it in cheers of encouragement.  A few more shots seem to loosen the Beaubearian’s grip and a bell clap frees him.  Still not sure where he is though, he scales the nearest turnbuckle and leaps into Cletus’ arms, which solidly plant him into the mat with a powerslam.  Winding up for an elbow drop, Cletus comes to release how unfunny it is to land on your humerus when there’s no one home.  A hot tag later and Dominik Diveraz officially re-enters the contest.

They needed to make that tag, Sanu was in there way too long.

Not argument there Teddy, Dominik’s plenty fresh, let’s see what he can do.

Puches pepper Cletus’ homely visage, until he’s backed into a corner and quickly assailed from above.  Big Jim tries to intervene, but catches a few stiff knocks himself and is sent reeling.  Cletus is sent into the far ropes and gets a shot in the bread basket upon his returning.  Another bounce from Diveraz and he sails over the brawny birler, hooking him into a sunset flip.  Cletus holds his ground for a moment until he eats a dropkick from Takumi and falls to the canvas.  At not quite two Diveraz abandons the cover, seconds before Jim drops an elbow that inadvertently levels his partner.  All for men are inside the ring and the Experience has the Crew in opposing corners, raining blows upoin them as the crowd counts along.  They got for the double whip, but Cletus manages to reverse and hit the Clear-cut clothesline.  Jim sees victory and incepts the man from Japan, while Cletus makes the fateful cover on Diveraz that wins the match.

DING! DING! DING!

The two men who will be beginning this match are Takumi Sanu and Big Jim. They lock up in the ever-so-traditional Collar-and-Elbow Tie-Up, but Takumi quickly transitions into a Waist Lock. Big Jim is quick to counter, drilling his elbow into the side of his opponent's head twice before countering into his own Waist Lock, before taking Sanu down with a classic wrestling takedown. He quickly transitions into a Headlock, with Takumi laid out, before rolling numerous times in a Gator Roll, trying to disorientate Takumi. Once he stops rolling, Big Jim continues to apply pressure in the Headlock. Takumi struggles to find a way out of this predicament before finally beginning to fight back by getting to his knees, simultaneously causing Jim to get to his knees, and striking away with punches to his adversary's mid-section. Slowly, the two men begin to get to a more vertical base, all the while Big Jim keeping his arms wrapped around Takumi's head. Sanu continues landing strike after strike to the abdomen of Big Jim, looking to find a way out of this hold. Eventually, Jim is forced to release it, not wanting to risk taking too much damage to his mid-section this early in the match. As soon as he's giving an inch, Takumi takes a mile, snapping his foot into the side of Big Jim's leg over and over with kick after kick. Each kick is heard all throughout the arena, until Jim is able to catch one of the speedy shots from Takumi. With Sanu now hopping around on one leg, he's quickly pushes backwards, Big Jim still holding onto his foot as Takumi hits back-first off of the canvas. He looks down at his opponent, before turning his attention to his leg, dropping down and drilling him right in the side of the knee with an Elbow Drop! Takumi lets out a slight yell due to the pain he's in, as Big Jim gets back to his feet.

Ted Cedar
"Big Jim has taken the early advantage over Takumi, drilling him hard with that elbow into his leg."

Joey Miles
"Remember, Theodore, Takumi relies on that Busaiku Knee Kick that he gave some weird Japanese name. He can't do that very well if his leg is fucked."

Following the Elbow Drop to the leg of Takumi, and Jim noticing the pain in his yell, he decides to do more work on that specific body part. "The Black Rapids Brute" rains down stomps on Takumi's leg, before grabbing him by the foot of that leg and dragging him over to his team's corner. Cletus slaps Jim on the back of the shoulder to tag himself in as Jim continues to hold Sanu's leg up. Cletus enters the ring and the big man climbs up onto the middle turnbuckle. He leaps off, landing a Leg Drop onto the lifted leg of Takumi, again causing a scream of pain from the Japanese man. Dominik looks on from his corner, worried for his partner's well being after watching a two hundred and eighty-one pound man drop down onto his leg. Jim exits onto the apron as Cletus pulls Takumi away from the ropes and stomps on his leg a few times, quickly following up by applying a Half Boston Crab, focusing on that injured knee. Takumi panics at first, not sure what to do, but he slowly begins to calm down and put his focus on getting to the ropes. Slowly, he pulls not only his own weight, but also the heavy weight of Cletus towards the ropes, almost coming within a fingertip's reach, when suddenly, the big man releases the hold. This wasn't to help his opponent by any means, however. He drags him back into the center of the ring by his foot, before raising his leg high into the air and then slamming it down, knee-first, onto the canvas! Takumi rolls around in pain, holding onto his knee, as Diveraz continues to look worried.

Ted Cedar
"The Logging Crew may be way ahead of you there, partner. It seems their plan for this match is to isolate Takumi and weaken his leg. Not only does Takumi's finisher rely on that leg, but he's also got quite an arsenal of kicks that would have to be slowed down by the work they're doing."

Joey Miles
"I don't know if these guys even have a plan. I mean yeah, they're clearly targeting Takumi's leg, but do you really think they're doing it for some sort of advantage? No. They just wanna hurt him."

Cletus heads over to his team's corner of the ring and tags in Jim, whom enters the squared circle. The Lumberjack pulls Sanu back to his feet and bends his leg backwards, before raising him into the air, looking to land a Shin Breaker. Instead of dropping Takumi's knee on his own knee, however, he drops his opponent a bit away, allowing Big Jim to swing his foot up and kick Takumi directly in the kneecap on the way down! Sanu immediately drops to the canvas, continuing to show how hurt he is right now. Cletus exits onto the apron, as Jim goes for the first cover of the match up, but it's a kickout just before two. He pulls the Japanese man back to his feet and attempts an Irish Whip, but Sanu shows that he's still in this thing as he reverses into an Irish Whip of his own, sending the bigger man into an unoccupied corner of the ring. "Sento-Ki" runs at his opponent, slower than usual and with a bit of a limp in his run, but he runs directly into a raised boot from Big Jim. Takumi stumbles backwards, clearly groggy from the boot hitting him in the face. He turns back around to Jim, only to damn near have his head taken off with a rocket-like Clothesline from the bigger man! Following the monstrous Clothesline, Jim goes for another pin, but Takumi gets his shoulder up in time./color]

Ted Cedar
"What a monstrous Clothesline by Big Jim! He damn near took Takumi's head off!"

Joey Miles
"Jang-in, sagwa kkeobjil ui moyang-eulo mandeun seong-gu halt-a jogag jenjang."

Ted Cedar
"Joey, Takumi is Japanese, not Korean."

Joey Miles
"How the fuck did you know what language I was speaking?"

Ted Cedar
"How do you know Korean?"

Joey Miles
"...Fair enough."

Big Jim pulls Takumi back to his feet, following the failed pin attempt, and he nonchalantly tosses the somewhat small superstar into his team's corner of the ring before tagging in Cletus the Lumberjack. Cletus enters and the two begin stomping into the cornered Takumi's mid-section simultaneously, until the referee finally inserts himself into the picture and forces Big Jim onto the apron. Cletus begins an Irish Whip, seemingly about to send Takumi into his own corner, but instead he pulls him back, viciously whipping him into The Logging Crew's corner. Takumi hits hard, front-first, off of the turnbuckles, before Cletus begins going to work on Takumi with Shoulder Thrust after Shoulder Thrust to the back. With the referee telling him to let Takumi out of the corner, Cletus ignores the official's wishes and tags Big Jim back in, trying to keep each other fresh with constant tags. As Jim enters the ring, Cletus spins Sanu around and pushes him to a seated position atop the turnbuckle. Him and Jim begin climbing to the middle rope, wrapping their arms around the neck of Takumi and setting up for a Double Superplex. The audience, and Dominik, look on, worried for what is about to happen to Takumi, but Sanu begins fighting back. He lands wild punches to the mid-sections of both opponents, eventually freeing himself from their grasps. He then lands a Headbutt to Cletus, followed by one to Big Jim and then continues landing Headbutts to each opponent until they both drop like flies off of the turnbuckle. Both members of The Logging Crew hit back-first on the canvas, but they don't stay down for long. As they both begin reaching their feet, Takumi stands perpendicularly on the top turnbuckle, ready to leap. He sees the opportunity and takes it, leaping into a Dropkick, one foot hitting each opponent! Takumi crashes to the canvas, following the move, and appears to have hurt his leg a bit more in the landing.

Ted Cedar
"This is it! This is Takumi's chance to finally tag Dominik into the mix! He's so far away from his corner, but can he make the tag?!"

Joey Miles
"Stupid little shit just banged up his leg even more off that Dropkick. I bet he won't be able to make the tag."

All three men are down, as Cletus rolls out of the ring, hitting the floor outside with a thud and leaving Takumi and Big Jim by themselves. Slowly but surely, Takumi begins the long crawl towards his corner of the ring, looking to finally make the tag to a fresh Dominik. The audience cheers him on as this could be Cultural Experience's chance to completely turn this thing around. Takumi comes close to making the tag, Dominik reaching out as far as he can, but suddenly Big Jim clobbers Diveraz, knocking him off of the apron! Takumi surprises Jim, however, with a roll-up. One! Two! Thre—But Big Jim kicks out just in time! The two men are quick to get back to their feet, only for Jim to take Takumi down with a Big Boot. Meanwhile, on the outside of the ring, Dominik is about to enter the squared circle and go after Jim, when he suddenly hears someone familiar calling his name from the audience. He turns around to see who it is and receives a big fireball in his face for his troubles. The camera takes a quick glimpse into the crowd, revealing Travis Levitt to be there, before he rushes off. The audience boos as Dominik lies, out cold, outside of the ring.

Ted Cedar
"What the hell?! That was—That was Travis Levitt! Travis just hit Dominik with a Fireball!"

Joey Miles
"What the fuck are you talking about, Theodore? All I saw was Takumi go for a failed roll-up."

Ted Cedar
"Travis was in the audience! He hit Dominik with a Fireball!"

Joey Miles
"I guarantee I have better drugs than you're on right now."

Back in the ring, Jim tags in Cletus, making sure to note to his bigger partner that Dominik appears to be out of it and telling him to finish this. Cletus nods and stomps on Takumi's leg a few times before lifting that very leg and wrapping it around his neck, applying the Ol' Bent Pine, otherwise known as the Stretch Muffler or Argentine Leglock! The audience boos as Jim has his finishing submission applied and Takumi appears to have no way out of this. He already has had tremendous damage done to his leg and this move is a very brutal submission hold. Add to that the fact that they're in the center of the ring, Takumi has no hopes of moving from this position, and Dominik is knocked out outside of the ring, things look bad for the Japanese wrestler. So, what does Takumi do when he's in this situation? He does what he does best – kick. Takumi begins kicking his opponent in the side of his mid-section with his free foot, each kick stiffer than the last. Eventually, Cletus has no choice but to let go, feeling tremendous pain in his side. Takumi bolts, about as fast as he can with a bum leg, towards his corner, only to realize that Dominik is knocked out. Suddenly, Cletus comes running at Takumi, looking for a Splash-like maneuver, but Sanu sees it coming out of the corner of his eye and dodges, The Lumberjack running straight into the corner of the ring. Takumi quickly applies a Waist Lock and, with all of the strength he can muster, pulls his opponent backwards into a huge German Suplex! The audience cheers wildly as both men are down.

Ted Cedar
"This is a damn handicap match now!"

Joey Miles
"Look at Dominik. He hasn't changed. He's just taking a break while Takumi does all the work. I love it."

Ted Cedar
"He's not taking a break, he was hit with a freaking Fireball!"

Takumi uses the ropes to help get himself back to his feet, still with a limp in his leg, as Cletus gets back up slowly in the center of the ring. Once standing, the two stumble towards each other and exchange shots. A punch from Cletus is countered with a kick, using his uninjured leg, to the side of The Lumberjack's leg, and then followed up with another punch from Cletus. The two go back and forth exchanging these shots until Takumi finally gains the upper hand, landing unanswered shots! Seeing his partner in trouble, Big Jim quickly enters the ring and rushes towards Takumi, whom backs up to the ropes. Sanu ducks down, pulling the top rope with him, and Big Jim goes rushing straight to the outside! Takumi turns around, only for Cletus to grab him by his arm. He pulls him in, looking for his Clear Cut finisher, a Short-Arm Clothesline, but Takumi ducks under it and runs away, rebounding off of the ropes and returning to leap into the air and land the Busaiku Knee Kick he loves to call the Hizakeri! The audience bursts into huge cheers as Takumi lands his finishing move, but he did it out of instinct with his bad knee. Nevertheless, he slowly crawls onto his opponent, making the cover. One! Two! Three! Hurt knee, no partner and all, Takumi manages to pick up the huge win in Cultural Experience's return to action!

DING! DING! DING!
