Penelope Cruz has entered final negotiations for Sacha Baron Cohen's Grimsby.
The Spanish actress is in line to star opposite Cohen and Mark Strong in director Louis Leterrier's comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rebel Wilson, Ian McShane, Gabourey Sidibe, Isla Fisher and Annabelle Wallis will also feature in the film.
The film centres around a British black ops spy (Strong) who is forced to go on the run with his football hooligan brother (Cohen).
Eric Idle revealed a first picture of Cohen's look for the film last week.
Cruz is expected to play a philanthropic corporate leader who may be more than she seems.
The actress was most recently seen in last year's Ridley Scott film The Counsellor.
Grimsby will be released on July 31, 2015.
