HARDCORE TITLE SCRAMBLE QUALIFIER
MATCH | Xtreme Rules

Tyson Smith vs. Tumblin Stone
Grader: None

I guess I fucked Tyson with my booking. As far as I'm concerned the match shouldn't count in canon. You can both be in the scrambler match.

MATCH | Singles
Danny Diamond vs. Cletus the Lumberjack
Grader: Kani

Verdict: I feel that it's safe to say that Cletus the Lumberjack takes this match. Snoopz himself said that he threw his match together, and conceded the loss. So, congratulations to Cletus. If you would like some full feedback to your match, feel free to get in touch with me.

MATCH | Singles

Drake Dysfunction vs. The Pirate
Grader: Kani

Drake Dysfunction: I liked the storytelling in this one, and you had some good action. I really liked the transition from the baseball slide to the outside, then the Asai moonsault. You did great in putting out some solid action on the outside there, having The Pirate snatch control of the match by pushing Drake into the ring post. I feel like maybe Ryu's count was a little inconsistent. Before both men returned to the ring, it read as if he just gave up at 3. Not a big deal, though, I'm just picky. I do feel like you could have done a tad more with the ankle lock, however. Even if it was relatively soon in the match, maybe you could have put a tad more drama to it. I did like the follow-up D-4 out of nowhere, however. And the subsequent counter into the High Seas Suplex, too. Nice bit of action there. Good finish, too. I enjoyed the back and forth.

The Pirate: Nice quick start here. I felt like I wanted to see a little bit more, though. As if it ended with the neckbreaker maybe a little too soon in that initial sequence. Like Nate, you had some good action in here and it really helped the match go along nicely. I particularly liked the little veteran move of The Pirate following up with a crucifix pin after the initial pin from the senton. Nice little touch. Your match was very well built, which really told the story well. And there's the Dysfunction Factor off the top rope. Nice moment there. I liked the way you built up the finish, too. Another good one.

Verdict: Well then, two good matches here. Both of you turned out a good effort, but I'm going to have to give this one to The Pirate. Both matches were really good, but I felt that TJ's felt like a more whole, rounded match. That isn't to say that yours was bad in that respect, TJ just managed to pull it off a little better. Good match, both of you.

MATCH | Singles
Travis Levitt vs. Hitman Alex
Grader: Riley

Hitman Alex: Nice what you did to the situation here. Since both Men are Heels, one must be the most Heelish and try to be the non-favorite here. You Did a good job with making Alex the most hated man whilst, trying to make Travis the Babyface and making the Crowd get behind him. A Paragraph in, And there is some good Action going on. "The referee stops his count as Alex quickly gets back up and starts running towards Travis, as he goes for a Clothesline. Travis quickly ducks out the way and manages to get behind Alex as he wraps his arms around Alex's waist to lift him up and connect with a German Suplex."- Was one of your few best spots in your match. As well as where you had Travis connect with the Running Wash. Overall, The Rest of your match was good. But not at your Best level.

Travis Levitt: What a Start. Alex sticks his Jaw out, being the Cocky heel that he is, and offers the first shot to Levitt. Quite possibly even underestimating Travis, The much smaller guy in this match. The Big Punch causing Alex to Stagger back before being pushed up against the Ropes and being unmounted on with furious Chops to his Chest before roaring out to The Hitman and telling him to take him seriously, Showed that Travis shouldn't be taken lightly. Nice use of you having Alex use his Height to his Advantage when they were in a tie-up. good job The Finish was something Interesting, with Michael's already out and Alex telling the Ref to make him leave, Alex not knowing that Travis is behind him waves Michael's away Mockingly before turning around and getting Firedball to his face, Followed by a Dragon Suplex was cool and I thought it made a Surprising ending.

Verdict: Both Men did a Good Job on portraying Hitman Alex as the Evil Villain here. As well as both using David Michael's to there Distractor to there Adversary. I am gonna have to say, Travis Levitt wins this one. His had more Flow and Action whereas Alex didn't. And Travis's match stuck to me where Alex, I kind of felt lost in some parts of his match.

Intercontinental Title Tournament
MATCH | Singles

Mack vs. Rob Chapman
Grader: Kani

Mack: To start off, I really liked the intro there, setting the background for the match. The big spot to kick the match off was that brutal backdrop to the top turnbuckle. I actually grimaced a little when I read that, pretty brutal for that early stage in a match. I have to admit, I'm a little confused that Mack was using heelish tactics like with the ring post and using the ref as a shield, but I assume that was done on purpose to tease a heel turn. I liked the spot where Mack tackled Chapman off the top rope and out of the ring. It was something that you don't really see all that often in matches, and it really signified a mean streak in Mack for this match. Interesting to see. I liked the counter out of the Boston Crab, which was working on Mack's lower back, into the Triangle Choke, leading into the classic check by the referee, and going back to working on the head. Good bit of technical wrestling from both men, and a nice little moment in the story. I'm starting to see the gradual change in attitude now, and the potential heel turn is being referenced more with Mack rolling out and avoiding Chapman to boos and such. Now it's falling into place. The crossbody spot was also pretty good, really fits in with this brutal side of Mack's character. You did well to make this match something that I didn't think it would be. Rather than pleasing the crowd, it was a lot more gritty and brutal, which I quite like. Your match had it's good moments, and I really enjoyed reading it. The finish, I feel, was perfect for the match after Mack spending most of the match targeting that head. A great match from you, here. The only gripe is maybe a little bit of building of the heel turn would have been nice. Like, Cedar commenting on how Mack is changing etc.

Rob Chapman: Great exchange at the start there, in particular the neckbreaker-type move into the sunset flip. I felt that was a nice combination that I've never really seen in a match before. I really liked how this match felt very much like a chess game between Rob and Mack, and it had me really hooked in to see who was going to try what to get ahead in the match. I know you were talking about being caught up in chain wrestling in the chat the other day, but in my opinion, it has really done wonders for the match. One little thing I really liked was Mack's little internal conflict while he was in the Full Nelson. There were actually a few little things that I enjoyed through your match, come to think of it. Particularly, the idea of Mack getting Hulk Hogan'd and the line about the Autobahn. The description while Rob was in the ankle lock was spot on, too. The way that Rob tried to redirect the pain from his ankle was a nice touch. I loved the way you sold Chapman's leg being unreliable towards the end. You really did build that up well and actually made it have an effect on the match, which I was a big fan of. The ending was well done, too, with Rob taking advantage of Mack's mistake, then dumping him on his head. Your description throughout this match is great, I never found myself wanting more detail throughout, and you had some really good action. Great match. It was one that I try to tell newer people to shoot for. It felt like a match. I wasn't just reading some text, it felt like I was watching a match in my head. I'd really like to go to Mr. Spriggs Bar B Q.

Verdict: Whew! What a set of matches. I could have written forever about all the stuff I liked there. Mack had the brutality of his character changing before our eyes, really desperately trying to put Chapman away, but Rob had a work of technical excellence, with both men trying to one up each other. I'm going to give this one to Rob Chapman, because I feel like his match was a lot more rounded and competitive, and I felt like I enjoyed his a bit more than I did Mack's. Great match from both, though.

Intercontinental Title Tournament
MATCH | Singles

Greg Samuel vs. DC Hennig
Grader: Ian

Samuel: Looking at your match made me hate myself. Please, for the love of god, space out your paragraphs a little. Your fifth "paragraph" was over 1000 words long. That's some bullshit. Other than that I don't have many complaints. You had really strong action. None of the spots really stood out for me as special but it was all solid. I thought the strongest aspect you had was the overall story arc. You did a really good job of selling the tournament's importance with your long, epic match and you did a really good job of displaying the struggle to reach the top Samuel has been facing.

Hennig: Really strong performance. Really solid action and flow. Characterization was strong for your character, maybe not so much for Greg, but still good overall. The finish was OK, but nothing special. I thought your match probably should have gone a little longer but it's not the worst thing. Felt like about an 8 minute match which is on par with Raw but not on par with what I'm used to seeing in TV main events on XWA.

Verdict: Although in the end it was close, I have to go with Greg Samuel. DC Hennig's match was polished and really hit on all of the things I look for from main event matches, aside from the length. Greg's match felt longer and, come the final belt, it felt more important. So, despite lacking in the crispness and polish that DC's match had, I have to go with Greg's match.
