[S 16|PROMO] "I am a silent protagonist." - Rob Chapman

MIDNIGHT EST (-5 UTC)

As we return from the commercial break, and Vendetta splash logo, we're immediately treated to the commentators at the broadcast table.

Joey
"... and I jammed it so far down T.K's throat that-"

Ted
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Vendetta! Your hosts Ted Cedar and Joey Miles at ringside, and we have a tournament match coming up-"

Joey
"So as I was saying before I was so rudely fucking interrupted... I shoved it so far down her throat that-"

Without warning, the arena lights suddenly shut off with a loud CLUNK. The increase murmurs of the crowd creating an atmosphere despite the lack of visuals.

Joey
"FOR CUNTS SAKE, did XWA forget to fucking pay the lighting crew again?!"

Ted
"I don't think that's it."

The murmurs and commentators are quieted suddenly as a dim light on the titantron cuts through the darkness, if only like gray on black. The show for those watching remotely quickly switches to the feed going into the tron.

Joey
"... the fuck was that? A promo for Stephen Hawking?"

Ted
"Someone else, actually..."

The music is quiet, and the lights are dark. Illuminated by a lone, red spotlight in the shape of a sniper's reticule, Rob Chapman makes his way out from behind the curtain in a defensive stance, stopping on the stage to survey they arena before sauntering towards the ring.

Laura Watts
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a part of the Intercontinental Title Tournament! Introducing first: from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada... weighing in at two hundred and forty one pounds... The Silent Protagonist, Rob Chapman!"

Joey
"Pfft! Someone pissed off the bookers."

Climbing up onto the apron, he vaults into the ring over the top rope, and then climbs to the second turnbuckle, raising his arms in an X over his head. Throwing his arms back down to his sides, he hops back to the canvas and begins removing his entrance attire. The lights return as his music fades out.

Laura Watts
"And his opponent, making his return to XWA... from Nashville, Tennessee, weighing in at two hundred and ten pounds... The Southern Aviator... Mack!"

Ted
"Mack is back, and business is about to pick up! This is gonna be a barn burner!"

Joey
"Jesus Christ. It's LX-Tim's redneck vanilla cousin."

Mack hits the stage as his theme music blares out of the personal announcement system to strobing red and orange lights. He greets the fans with an enigmatic fist pump before jogging down to the ring.

Ted
"The Intercontinental title is one of the only titles Mack hasn't held yet... could he be on his way to adding a new accomplishment to his résumé?"

Sliding into the ring, The Southern Aviator bounces back to his feet and climbs the top turnbuckle, raising his arms over his head. Hopping back down, he turns to face his opponent, who simply stares an icy stare from across the ring. Mack shifts into 'serious mode' quickly as the referee signals for the bell.

Joey
"Is it just me or do these guys look related?"

Ted
"... nope, I don't see it. Sorry."

(Meant to get this up much sooner but I've been either demotivated or working on other projects. Also turns out I lost the whole promo aside from the video part, which I did up last week trying out a new editor. But this is one way for Rob to communicate. Looking forward to our match, Leo. Good luck!)

Commentary is really entertaining Funny

The way stuff's described is great, too.

Cool promo..err..entrances? Funny

I had to have the first one of these videos be immediately pre-match so that it was clear who it belonged to. Well some of my future promos will probably still be pre-match, since he's a silent character, now that it's established who's videos these are, they can be basically anywhere lol
