TNA's Dixie Carter and Wrestle-1's The Great Muta announced at their press conference in New York City today that the Bound For Glory pay-per-view will be held on Sunday, October 12th in Tokyo, Japan at Korakuen Hall.

UK should have got it first

Not understanding this at all. Isn't BFG TNA's biggest show? Fans in the US would have to wake up at 4-5 o'clock in the morning to catch it. This has ppv buyrates disaster written all over it.

One thing TNA has never worried about it PPV buys, hence why most of their stuff happens on Impact. I think people will still buy it though. Maybe they just hold it earlier or something to compensate the time difference. Not sure what the time gap is...

Over here on the East Coast, there's a 13-hour time difference.

Eh, doesn't bother me. I'm not totally sold on the idea, yet, but at least it's something different.
Kinda' pissed though that they wouldn't bring it over here first and TNA kept saying the timezone difference would be an issue...now they have zero excuse.

Also, if they re-sign Angle, he has to face Muta. That would be fun as fuck.

With the announcement of Bound for Glory on 10/12 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, it should be noted that New Japan has an iPPV scheduled for the same date in the same building. most likely the Wrestle-1/TNA show will be in the afternoon and the New Japan show will be at night.

Normally when you do things like that in the US the afternoon crowds are a lot smaller. Well historically anyway. I don't expect it to be much different in Japan. You have to be a real true wrestling fan to want to sit through both shows.

That averages out to 333 per side of the six-sided ring: or two TNA house show attendances per side.

How the hell can you hold two different wrestling shows in one day? That's a logistical nightmare, especially considering TNA uses a different ring now...
