With regards to TNA broadcasting its Bound for Glory PPV in Japan this year, The Wrestling Observer is reporting the show will have to air on tape, as an 8pm start time would mean TNA would have to start the PPV at 7am Monday morning Tokyo time.
The fact that TNA would take this type of risk with a big PPV like Bound for Glory is an indication that the company is making little to no money via PPV, so the company is actually saving money by doing a taped PPV event and will be saving in other areas as well. Wrestle-1 will likely cover the production costs, so TNA's only really large expense will be transporting the talent to Japan.
What Were TNA's Original Title Plans?
According to PWInsider.com, original plans in TNA called for MVP to defeat Eric Young for the TNA Title at Slammiversary, however when MVP was pulled from the main event due to injury, the decision was made to give Bobby Lashley the belt.
