WWE 2K15 may just miss its usual window for release this year. According to Game Informer, the company has the next generation game scheduled for "Fiscal 2015", a period which ends on March 31.

Take-Two shared in a recent year-end earnings conference that developer Visual Concepts – the team behind the NBA 2K series – is assisting with WWE 2K15, which will be the studio's first full-fledged attempt at the wrestling franchise; last year's game had already been in production by THQ when they were bought out. It will also be the first wrestling game to arrive on XBox One and PS4, although not exclusively, and an early 2015 release gives them more time to work on the project.

The delay would also coincide nicely with WrestleMania 31, which would seem to match up with rumors that WWE and Take-Two would like to bring in Goldberg as this year's featured Superstar, and potentially as the headlining act for the 2015 Hall of Fame ceremony. There have also been rumors that WWE 2K15 may feature some sort of "WCW Mode" similar to "30 Years of WrestleMania" in last year's game.

The upcoming WWE 2K15 video game, expected to release sometime around WrestleMania 31, is rumored to have a "My Career" mode. Capsule Computers reports that the game mode will replace the '30 Years of WrestleMania' mode from the last game and it will involve players starting out in WWE NXT and working their way up to the main roster, and then to the top.

The "My Career" mode has not been confirmed officially at this time.

"WCW mode" would be awesome if it were booked like WCW!

Choose someone under 6 foot tall? Get buried! If you win your matches? You stop appearing on TV as they continue to ruin you!

Over 6 foot tall? Your story will be based around your alliance with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall! You start  the newest NWO faction, NWO NOC! (No one cares).  Your group will face tough challenges, like Sting! Booker T! Diamond Dallas Page! Ted Turner selling WCW so he can give $5M to the Braves for a relief pitcher! Getting injured taking a mule kick from Goldberg because the rings keep shrinking!

Then, when you finally think it's over and NWO NOC has won the title, you'll be asked to BREAK THE SCRIPT and lose in a finger-poke-of-doom or a 100th rehash of the Montreal Screw Job!

Once that's over with and you suffer a few Nitro losses to Buff Bagwell, you'll be hand picked by the new management, which is, oddly, the old management, as the new "top guy." You finally get your run as a babyface, which includes absolutely no build up to your big title win on Nitro! Then, you have to drop the belt to Hogan, because he draws. Your first major boss will be having to win an argument with Eric Russo and Hulk Hogan backstage! This level is called "POLITICS!!!"

If you win, you continue to be fucked with. Maybe you get a title run, maybe you job to Jeff Jarrett. Who cares? You don't draw. Fuck off.

If you lose, you get fired over the phone by Eric Russo.

The second boss is Scott Steiner. Not IN THE RING. No... Instead, as you're Eric Russo's chosen one, or so he says, you're asked to do his dirty work. Scott Steiner is in a roid rage, and you have to fucking stop him.

The third and final boss is... Eric Russo. You're his chosen one! He's really fighting for you in all those meetings! Do you have what it takes to do the unthinkable?!?! Take less money to work for WWE instead?

If you quit WCW, you'll come into WWE as a Radical! Wouldn't the Radicals have worked better if their were four members? Instead, the WWE originally just had three: Malenko, Saturn, and Guerrero.

You'll be the 4th! You'll get used properly (sometimes) and you'll get a four year story-arc where eventually you beat Triple H and Shawn Michaels in a Triple Threat match at Wrestlemania!

If you stay on with WCW, a re-worked Invasion storyline is prepared. You're one of the losers Vince brings in when he buys WCW. You're going to be buried, sure... but at least it'll be by The Rock! You'll have a four year story-arc mostly based around you jobbing to Stevie Richards on Sunday Night Heat.
