The Hopeful, under the guidance of the self-proclaimed King of XWA Robert Hope, are on a mission to lay waste to all of those who they deem to have no hope in their future. They have already attacked two high-profile targets in Evan Flare and David Michaels, and with Hope at the head of the group, you can never be quite sure who, when, where or why they are going to strike next.

The Genesis of The Hopeful

Robert Hope has always seen himself as a Prophet, foretelling a plague coming to level XWA to the ground. He talked a big game for many years, but no matter how many times he said there was an apocalypse coming, it never came. During his stint in Total No Limits Wrestling, Hope had his attention grabbed by a monstrous man named Cerberus, who attacked JHalc and David Michaels on an episode of TNL Aggression. Hope took it upon himself to become acquainted with The Hound of Hell, and the two became like brothers, Hope taking Cerberus under his wing after years of him being shunned by society. Eventually, Hope returned to XWA, and with him brought the monster. It was apparent that this apocalypse he'd been talking about now had a human form in Cerberus, as the two began to spread havoc through the XWA, attacking and hanging two big stars in the XWA. The most notably, David Michaels, led to a brutal Underground match at United Xtreme 2014.

Hope had informed many that The Hopeful were growing before their eyes, something that Jared Jerusalem experienced first hand when Hope sent newest inductee Azrael to subject him to a bloody and brutal attack. With the maniacal masked man in the group, The Hopeful managed to capture the XWA Tag Team Championship, with thanks to Hope, after Azrael dropped his rival on his head with the Omega Driver to seal the win.

At Revolutionary Wars, the influence of The Hopeful grew exponentially, as Cerberus assisted Rob Chapman in capturing the XWA Intercontinental Championship, meaning that The Hopeful now control two main belts in the XWA, but more importantly, took in a new brother in The Silent Protagonist. The ripples from this will be felt through the coming months, where Chapman's involvement with the group will be made clear.
