DING! DING! DING!
Paine stares straight… down into his much smaller opponent’s eyes. Both men are in the middle of the ring and both men have talked a lot of crap about each other tonight. “Talk shit now, little man.” yells Paine, before shoving him back. Vega doesn’t take too kindly to the abuse and charges forward with a hard right forearm. Maddox almost no-sells it and swings a big fist of his own, except his drops Gabe to the mat, as he is much bigger and much stronger. Vega rolls up to his feet and charges the big man, before getting dropped as Paine swings a big right arm, thwacking him across the neck roughly. The “Mexistralian” angrily rolls out of the ring in somewhat embarrassment. He slaps the ring apron before tending to his jaw. Paine looks on from inside the ring with an intimidating look as Eric Badman stands outside the ring and claps for his client. Vega regroups outside the ring, trying to strategize as it’s obvious he won’t be able to go fist-to-fist with the much larger man. He needs to find a way to get the upper hand on Maddox and it’s not going to be an easy task. He slides back into the ring as the ref holds Paine back. Ryu Sanu moves out of the way and then allows them to continue where they left off. Maddox crouches a bit, setting himself up for a collar-and-elbow lock up, but Vega quickly darts down to one knee, spins around, and lands behind Maddox, before wrapping his arms around him for a reverse bear-hug.
Ted Cedar: “Gabriel Vega has to keep steady, Paine has the size and power advantage, but both are equally aggressive. He needs to strategize.”
Joey Miles: “He’s trained under Dominik Diveraz. He has no excuses! But I agree Ted, he’s gonna have to put in work if he wants to beat Paine!”
Maddox wraps his hands around Vega’s and then pries him off slowly. As soon as Vega notices that it’s futile to continue to try and press on the submission, he quickly launches a big stomp, right to the back of Paine’s right knee. Paine releases Vega’s arms and Gabriel quickly drops down before shoving his shoulder into the back of Paine’s right knee, dropping him to the mat. Maddox angrily grabs his right knee as Gabriel doesn’t give him time to recover, he may have the advantage for now. He quickly grabs a hold of Maddox’s right leg again, but before he can do anything further, Paine tucks both legs in and then launches him back, sending him flying through the middle rope and to the outside of the ring. “The Titan” forces himself back up to his feet before yelling out at Vega a bunch of obscenities. The 220 pounder tries to work himself up to his feet outside the ring. He gets up and then turns around, ready to go back into the ring, but he is leveled by a wild lariat by Paine – who slid out of the ring and used his quickness to hit an unsuspecting Gabriel Vega. Paine drops down to one knee as the ref begins to make the count. “1!” “2!” – Paine grabs the smaller man and pulls him up to his feet. Maddox picks him up onto his right shoulder before charging forward and driving him back-first into the ring apron. Paine enjoys watching Gabriel Vega cry out in pain (no pun intended – really.)
Ted Cedar: “I think Maddox just separated Vega’s spine against that apron!”
Joey Miles: “Sick impact. Vega needs to try and recuperate before that giant mother fucker keeps pounding him!”
Maddox rolls him into the ring before mounting up on the ring apron. Paine then walks over to the side and begins to climb up the turnbuckle from the outside! Maddox stands at the top, a few fans begin to cheer – not because they like him, but for the fact that he’s about to do something cool – as Paine awaits his smaller opponent. Gabriel holds his back and works up to his feet. He turns around into a large man flying off the top rope towards him. The “God Amongst Men” leaps into the air towards his opponent, only to eat a jawful of boot, courtesy of Vega leaping into the air and hitting a perfect dropkick to the midair Paine! Maddox hits the mat and Vega scoops up a leg for the pin. “1!” “2!” – Paine powers out. Maddox sits up on his ass and Vega quickly wraps his right arm around his neck for a headlock. He squeezes as hard as he can, trying to drive the life out of the much larger man. From this floored position, Paine can’t do much. “The Titan” manages to wriggle down to a position where he’s on his back. He then raises his huge leg and scissors it around the neck of Vega, forcing Gabriel Vega to release the headlock as he is scissored between the big man’s legs. Vega kips up, breaking the scissors, and then gets up to his feet quickly before driving a fast elbow drop directly to Paine’s right leg.
Ted Cedar: “and now Gabriel Vega goes right back to the leg of the big Maddox Paine.”
Joey Miles: “Smart thinking, it’s the only way he’ll keep Paine down.”
Paine extends his body up, but is unable to stop the sly Vega, who grabs a hold of his right leg and begins to stomp away behind his knee. One, two, three. He then begins to drag the much larger man near the corner and presses him under. The referee begins to scold him not to, but Vega ignores him. He slides out of the ring and quickly grabs a hold of Paine's leg, wrapping him between the steel post. He grabs his right leg and then slams it against the post, much to the referee's dismay. The sneaky Mexistralian grabs his leg and bashes it again, and again. Maddox screams as Eric Badman stands only a few feet away from Vega but can do nothing except watch. Gabriel tries to bash it one more time, but Maddox begins to slide into the ring. Desperate, Vega grabs a hold of both of his legs and pulls him back out. But only for a split second, as in a single fit of power, Paine pulls both legs in hard, and pulls Vega straight into the steel ring post, face-first! Gabriel leans against the post as the fans go “Oooh!” and Paine pulls his legs into the ring. Maddox sits on his ass in the middle of the ring and he clenches his face in an angry manner, trying to tend to his right leg. It doesn't hurt too much, but it's definitely taken quite a beating. He tries to shake it off. Vega stumbles around a bit wildly but manages to find his footing. He slides into the ring and slowly works up to his feet, not wanting to waste too much time. Maddox is already on his feet, and Paine runs to the ropes quickly, bounces back, flies into the air, and catches Vega with the side of his right knee, hitting a signature running knee lift!
Joey Miles: “Sick impact off that running knee, that's what I'm fucking talking about!”
Ted Cedar: “Great impact indeed, but you have to believe that may have taken a lot out of Paine, as he used the bad knee.”
Maddox grabs a hold of his right knee as he drops to the mat right after the knee. He begins to rub it as he lays against the ropes. Badman talks to him through the ropes. It's inaudible, but it's likely words of encouragement. Words to get Maddox to fight the pain and get back up. “The Titan” grabs a hold of the ropes and forces himself up to his feet. He half-limps over to his opponent, who is getting up off the ground. Maddox grabs the back of Vega's head before shoving him into the turnbuckle face-first roughly. Paine begins to swing hard right hands, one, two, three, stomping the mat with each one for effect. Gabriel begins to double down in the corner, and Paine has him where he wants him. Maddox then takes his right leg and begins to stomp away at the gut of Gabriel Vega! A foolish move, but Paine screams. “WHAT? YOU THINK MY RIGHT LEG HURTS? YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO ME! MY LEG IS FINE!” as he continues with the hard right-legged stomps to Vega's gut. After the third one, his leg gives out and he is forced to back off. He begins to tend to it again, before groaning a bit. Maybe that wasn't the smartest move. Vega quickly springs out of the corner and swings a bit low kick, hitting him right on the knee, dropping him down to one knee.
Ted Cedar: “And that smart Gabriel Vega goes right back to that knee, he is merciless!”
Gabriel then wraps his right arm around the skull of Paine before swinging his leg up and dropping straight backwards, hitting him with a Snap DDT! Vega doesn't bother to go for the cover as he works his way back to his feet. He instead decides to target the leg quickly. He grabs a hold of both of Paine's legs and pulls them up. He quickly wraps his own legs around Maddox's right before locking him in a precarious position and dropping back, executing a sickening Figure Four Leglock! Maddox screams and begins to jump up and down. His bad leg is being scissored, and the pain is too much for him to bear! Though the fans don't care for either, they begin to look on in amusement. Will the monstrous man tap out? Paine shouts as Eric Badman begins to get nervous. How is this large man getting whipped around? Badman yells and yells, telling him to get up! Paine works his way up on his hands, but he is unable to drag himself anywhere. Gabriel begins to drop his back against the mat over and over, sending a searing spike of pain into “The Titan's” legs. Maddox screams and shouts, but there is absolutely nothing he can do. The pain is too much.
Ted Cedar: “This may be it! I don't think Paine is getting up from this!”
Joey Miles: “C'mon! You're buff as fuck, just bench press the ring and launch yourself to the ropes!”
Paine continues to struggle as the lock is in rough. The ref stands over him, asking him if he'd like to quit, but Paine doesn't even entertain the idea of tapping out to a mere man. Despite the searing pain, despite the sharp feeling in his knee, he will not give up. He begins to formulate an escape, and it may just work. He uses all his power to shift his body weight over and turn himself slowly. He lands on his belly and he pushes himself up with his arms, countering the figure four on Gabriel Vega! Paine begins to shake his head up and down, giving Vega some sweet revenge. “The Technical Torturer” is the one being tortured now. Tortured into having to release the submission, as he unhooks his legs and breaks the hold. Paine instantly grabs a hold of his knee as Vega crawls near the ropes, trying to use them to gain some leverage. Gabriel makes his way to his feet as Paine rolls up onto one knee. Vega quickly wraps his arm around Maddox's head and then wraps Paine's arm around his head. He tries to lift him up for a vertical suplex, but as soon as he tries to, Maddox quickly pulls him by the tights, raises him up and leaps into the air backwards, driving him with a vertical suplex that was almost a snap suplex due to the execution! Maddox lands on his back as he rolls onto his side. He begins to slowly work his way back up to his feet again, trying to keep the momentum in his corner.
Joey Miles: “and Maddox right on top of things once again.”
Ted Cedar: “Hard to believe it after all he's taken in this match!”
Maddox waits for Gabriel to stand up. As soon as he does, “The Toughest of the Tough” quickly drops him with a sickening lariat, using his right arm. As much as it was sick, Vega gets right back up. Paine drops him with another one, but again Gabriel gets up. Maddox sees him coming and charges at him before leaping into the air and hitting another flying knee lift, this time using his left leg to avoid hurting his right any further. Vega takes it like a man and gets up again, this time insanely groggy. Paine rakes him up onto his shoulder quickly and then slams him back-first into the mat with a very sickening Spinebuster! Maddox bounces up before giving a huge roar into the audience while tossing both arms to the side in the forms of fists. The fans begin to boo, not liking this man and his cockiness. Paine doesn't wait for Vega to stand up. He quickly grabs him by the head and then pulls his head between his legs. He hooks his arms around Vega's belly and then tries to raise him in a powerbomb position, going for the Titan Bomb! But as soon as he begins to lift, his right leg dings him and he is unable to. Gabriel has enough time to shake it off and he quickly shoves his fist into the side of Paine's right knee. Maddox releases the powerbomb hold and begins to back off. Vega works his way upwards before leaping into the air, swinging his right leg, and decking Paine on the cheek with a sick Gamengiri! Paine drops to the mat once again as Vega tiredly goes for the pin. “1!” “2!” - Kickout!
Ted Cedar: “and now Vega in control and everyone knows how sick he can be at this point!”
Joey Miles: “That was such a great move, too!”
Gabriel knew it wouldn't do it, but he also knew it'd buy him some time to recover. Vega gets up to his feet as Paine turns on his side and tries to get himself up to his feet on one knee. Gabe quickly presses Paine's head between his legs and tries to raises him for a change, attempting for an abysmal Crucifix Powerbomb. Of course, it doesn't work. Paine is too heavy for the smaller man and fights out of it as Vega tries to raise him up. Maddox pushes him back after a bit and with the created opening, he manages to wrap his arm around his body before raising him up, turning him around, and slamming him into the mat with a sick Belly to Belly Suplex! Maddox struggles, though that move didn't take too much out of his right leg. Paine stands up inside the ring and then gives another loud roar, while doing the “Ascension” pose once again. He is readying for his Striking Spear in the corner! He doesn't really need his leg to be healthy for this one! Vega struggles but slowly gets up to his feet. As soon as he turns, a charging bull is running at him and is readying to strike him! Vega does what any experienced veteran would do, except he's not an experienced veteran. He leaps into the air, wraps his legs under Maddox's arms, and then does a full flip, locking Maddox in a Sunset Flip Pin! “1!” “2!” - kickout!
Joey Miles: “Awesome ass counter by Vega, not gonna lie!”
Maddox kicks out by doing a full roll-back, ending with Vega sitting on his ass. Paine throws both legs forward and catches Vega square in the face with a front dropkick. Paine tends to his right knee and gets up to his feet slowly. Gabriel lays on the mat, almost giving up on this match completely. It seems improbable that he will win. But he will try anyway. Especially since he has no choice in the matter of whether he should get up or stay down. Maddox grabs him by the head and raises him up. He attempts to ignore the pain in his right knee as he raises Vega up onto his right shoulder, going for his signature Oklahoma/Running Powerslam! As soon as Maddox begins limp-running, Vega drops down behind him, hopping off and into safety. Before Paine can turn, Gabe drops down and spears the back of Maddox's right knee, dropping him to the mat almost instantly! Vega decides that it's time for him to end this match! Gabriel looks around before noticing that this would be a perfect time to go for the frog splash! He knows he can end it here... and he will! He slowly steps out onto the ring apron and quickly begins to climb up the top rope!
Ted Cedar: “Uh oh. I dont need to have seen this before to know it's deadly!”
[b]Joey Miles: “It definitely should be. This is gonna be good!”
But Maddox ruins any chance of a frog splash by slowly getting up to his feet and and recovering. He manages to stand up, using the ring ropes as a guide, Vega knows there isn't a possibility of hitting the frog splash has dramatically dropped for now. But he still knows more than one top rope/aerialistic move. Maddox begins to get near him groggily. Vega stands up, not knowing his fate. He is about to find out. Gabriel leaps off the top rope and charges forward, going for a top rope hurricanarana, which would be some sort of a dragonrana as well! Vega lands with his legs wrapped around the big man's head, but he has a rude awakening! Paine doesn't fall! Vega lands in a seated position high above the ring, on Paine's shoulders! Maddox realizes this and quickly spins into the center of the ring before slamming him down with full force, executing a Titan Bomb! Beautiful counter as even the fans are impressed by this out of nowhere move. “The Titan” goes for the final pin of the match! Ryu Sanu takes count. “1!” “2!” “3!”
