| OOC: wrote this quick. Was going to make it more detailed and expand a bit, but I've ran out of time, so yeah.... “Inside the Fire” by Disturbed plays out through the PA system of the Vendetta arena. Moments pass by and from out the back emerges “The Titan” Maddox Paine. The stone-faced wrestler looks to be on the war path as he storms down the entrance ramp, barely even acknowledging the crowd. Just as he reaches the bottom of the ramp, his opponent – the seven foot nightmare fuel – comes running from out the back being followed close behind by a fellow member of Vladimir Strife’s army Crystov Razetti. Spyro swings his lumbering arm and nails the former champion in the back of the skull, dropping him to a knee. Both of Vlad’s followers begin to beat down on the handicapped competitor, delivering a flurry of stomps, gradually wearing him down to the mat. The Crazed Clown raises the Best of the best up and applies a chicken wing, preventing the man from escaping. Maddox flails from side to side to break the grip but it is ultimately of no avail. The Reaper jogs towards the trapped wrestler and leaps up to the apron, kicking off of it before bring the laces of his wrestling boots across the jaw of Paine. This fails to knock the now enraged wrestler to the ground, but this is soon rectified by a clubbing blow courtesy of The Ripper. The referee, who has remained in the ring throughout the assault, sticks his head between the middle and top rope, waving his arms to try and call off this attack, but he is met by the red mist of Spyro being sprayed into his face. Spyro signals for Razetti to go underneath the ring while he kicks the victim of this mugging firmly in the gut, turning him over. The Butcher of Bedlam once again pikcs Maddox up, this time holding him in a full nelson as Crystov emerges from under the ring with a steel chair in his clutches. He swings at Paine, but only manages to crack the clown over the head with it as the former champ manages to duck out of the way. This enrages Patient #8994 who grabs the Japan-born wrestler by the throat, baring his teeth at him whilst he does so. Tossing him back, almost over his shoulder, Spyro sends Razetti face first into the turnbuckle. The clown turns round only to be struck by a devastating spear courtesy of what was to be the opponent of the night. Maddox retrieves the discarded chair and begins to lay into the seven footer, whelps forming on his back and arms as steel repeatedly meets flesh. The Russian-heritage superstar brings himself up, still groggy from his protégé’s display of anger and is met with a ramming of the edge of the chair into his gut, doubling him over. Maddox drops the chair and tucks the small man’s head between his thighs before stretching his arms out wide and letting out a hellacious war cry. He bends down, grasping his target around the midsection before hoisting him up on his shoulders. He turns his body and sits down, driving his victim downwards and planting the spine of Crystov across the skull of Spyro with a Titan Bomb. Both assailants lie unmoving on the thin pads outside the ring and Paine lets out another scream of anger, before looking into the camera with his cold, dark eyes and pointing directly down its lens; a message clearly sent for Vlad. |
