Start rejoicing, System Of A Down fans! The alt-metal group played their only US show last night at the Hollywood Bowl and, at the end, drummer Joh Dolmayan grabbed the microphone and stated, “Next time we come back we’ll have a new f*cking album!” Footage of Dolmayan stating this can be seen below (he says it at the 2:29 mark).

The band has not given a timetable for a new release with singer Serj Tankian stating via a Reddit AMA, “It just has to be the right time for us all in the band.”

YAY!!

Nah, I don't fuck with this. SOAD was GREAT in the early 2000s, but outside of Serj the entire bands always seems depressed to be playing music. They're not energetic like they used to be. They don't care like they used to.... So neither do I. Fuck this shit.

Might not be as good as their old stuff, but it's still not bad.
