1. Sarah Brookes vs Elektra vs Jill
Grader: TJ

ELEKTRA:

Short Match, but good. Didn't really need to be too long, as it's a midcard divas match. Good job giving all the girls defined roles in the match, ie. Sara being manipulative and opportunistic, Elektra being high-energy and trying to do everything she can to impress people, etc. "Invisible momentum bar". I like that. Never would have thought of that myself. Lots of action here, not much downtime, which is good for a divas match, as they tend to get boring quick. It could have used a bit more description but it's forgivable. Selling's fine, no problems there. Nice out-of-nowhere finish, too. Good way to debut, and set her up as a solid fan-favorite. If you stick with her, she could definitely be a contender. Good effort here, but you're up against a tough customer. Just gotta see if this match stacks up.

JILL:

Likewise, you have a lot of action off the bat. Speaking of bats, apparently Jill's a vampire lumberjack. Interesting. Him? Typo probably. Moving on. Like last week, description is perfect. Lots of it, but not too much. You seem to be missing a bit of selling though, as the girls are just beating the crap out of each other yet keep coming back for more almost immediately. And then your ending just seemed really rushed. What happened? The first two thirds of this were really good and then the ending was just paraphrased. Your last couple sentences seal the deal up pretty well, but it's still lacking the description you had throughout. It's obvious you ran out of time or something, as this had a lot of potential to start off with, especially showing off Jill's near-psychotic personality, but it stumbled and slid across the finish line. A bit disappointing, but still a fairly good match overall. Keep on trying to improve and your whole stable should have things go their way often.

VERDICT:

This is a close one. Both were quite action-packed, entertaining matches. While I did like Jill's description better for most of the match, it just really fell off at the end with that last paragraph. On the other side, I liked how Elektra painted each competitor as having a particular role in the match, and obviously her ending was much better. Well, I gotta give this one to Elektra, although it was very close. If Jill didn't have such a rushed ending, she probably would have taken this one.

3. Maddox Paine vs Riley Williamson
Grader: Snoopz

First of all, this is gonna be a shit grading because I'm tired and I've got lots of 2WWF-related work to do. So yeah.

Riley: Not bad descriptions. Some of your word choices seem a bit odd like "stony faced", but other than that, it wasn't too shabby descriptions at all. You kinda under-described some spots, though. Your match was kinda entertaining. Nothing really popped out as innovative or truly exciting, but it wasn't boring. Also, why was there a count-out involved in a No Disqualification match? Not once, but twice. All-in-all, not a horrible effort, but you still can improve. I'd read some stuff by top fedders here to get ideas.

Maddox: Good descriptions. Good action. The Belly-to-Belly reversals was well done. Literally lol'd at Joey's muscle shout. It was basically like "YOU DARE FUCKING QUESTION ME, TED?! I SAID MUSCLES, DAMNIT!" Some good storytelling as well throughout your post. All-in-all, it was a really good read and a great debut for the character.

Verdict: This should come as no surprise, but I'm going with Maddox Paine. His post was just better in every aspect. Riley, you did a decent job, but you went up against a former WHC who is a former WHC for a reason. Don't be discouraged. Keep improving and maybe you can beat him in a rematch.

4. Samantha Valentina Claudio vs Nicole Johnson
Grader: Razor

Samantha Valentina Claudio vs Nicole Johnson

Samantha: Good technical stuff in the first paragraph. Lol’d at “Calm your big ass tits Teddy.” Second paragraph introduces a bit more spots in the form of a diving crossbody, Matanza counter, and the over the top rope flip. More haha @ Joey’s commentary. Cool idea, thinking of a female doing a Gamengiri. I like how she’s like a female counterpart to Dominik. Reading on, I love how you pointed out that her first two whip attempts failed, just little things but still. Interesting to see a Springboard DDT. A bit of a rushed ending but nothing too bad. You can’t get fancy every match, sometimes they need to end in a regular manner. A bit off on selling too, but I guess it’s kinda hard to make divas sell lol.

Nicole: Neat start. A bit surprise you opted for something like a german suplex right off the bat, but nothing bad. Good description off the enzuguiri. I like how you mention that some of the things they did are “awkward.” Though we’re trying to establish a legit division, there’s no surprise that women tend to be a little more botchy than men. I like how you made Samantha feisty and I like the face/heel portrayals. Some of your transitions are a little off. Like your ankle lock transition, but nothing serious really. Reading into your first large paragraph, I do like that you went up a bit with the technical stuff. You put them both on as legit competitors while still keeping it ‘diva-ish’. Things like the shining wizard outta nowhere and what-not. Since Nicole is a face I would expect her to have the upper hand, but at the same time, since she’s going to win in your match, you should give Samantha a bit more action. Reading out of your large paragraph, I like the technicality, and you’ve kept it fairly simple while mixing in some pretty good moves. I’m going to assume the Asai DDT is a signature, as I don’t like finisher kickouts for no reason lol. Ok, you’ve given Samantha a bit more action, good. I liked your ending, submission endings are always neat.

Verdict: This was actually a lot closer than it seems. You both did a lot of things right, and a few things wrong. Regardless, I’m giving it to Samantha. I feel hers was a bit more entertaining overall. But don’t get discouraged Nicole, you did good as well.

7. Niko L. Genero vs. Xtreme Icon vs. Drake Dysfunction
Grader: Moose

Drake

I had to do a double take when you said “two-time XWA Intercontinental Champ” twice. Kinda confused my wee brain. Superman punch? In the second paragraph you built up the Singapore cane and had Icon do a corner splash. He did nothing with it except get a pop from the crowd.

Gotta admit I like how you’re using Joey.

I think it would have been better if you saved the surprise super kick at the end of a paragraph. Then have the commentators talk about that.

Noticed you said “forwards” where you meant to say forward.

I would have just said Genero saved himself the match after the pin attempt or something like that. I read this more and you actually have Genero use the ropes to moonsualt Drake. I would have done something different here. As a reading I see myself as a member of the crowd. Perhaps a home viewer would have been surprised but likely would have been shown what was coming. You showed the referee going to two before explaining how Genero broke the pin attempt. Unless it was Genero quickly bolting over to break the pin I would have explained what was going on before showing how much the referee counted. Then you could have said in the nick of time Genero saved the match for himself by landing the moonsualt, or something to that effect.

“only serving to be imaginary due to the fact that an actual physical sleeve is not present on his shirt.” This could have been left out. I know we should try to be descriptive but you have to remember less is more here.

I like where you have Icon stop Genero’s move from the top rope. You let it happen near the end of the paragraph and you let the commentator talk about the surprise to build onto the next paragraph.

See that Niko saves the match a second time is more of what I want to see.

I thought the action was good overall. You did well for a three way dance.

Icon

You might as well no-showed. If you’re sick someone will understand if you’re unable to write up a match.

Niko

Noticed you said hops where you meant hips. In fact I notice several errors like two spaces and lower case letters beginning your sentences. I actually liked the action happening in your post but you didn't finish. I admit the ending was quite funny. You used humor well but it seemed like you rushed to get this out.

Verdict

I’m sorry to say I don’t know anything about grading matches for the fed. But I did anyway. If you don’t like it someone else can grade it. But after reading all three posts I’m going to say Nate did the best job. He did take the time to make the best post he can. Plus he was able to complete it. I know we all have busy lives and maybe it was just one of those times you couldn’t commit this this game we play on internet forums. I gave my advice on where Drake can improve. So I’m giving the match to Drake.
