PostSubject: Re: ME) World Heavyweight Championship - Razor Xtreme(c) vs. Greg Samuel - Ladder Match   ME) World Heavyweight Championship - Razor Xtreme(c) vs. Greg Samuel - Ladder Match EmptyTue Jul 07, 2015 4:45 pm

Razor Xtreme has made his entrance to the arena. Both of the competitors in Summer Sanitarium’s main event stand across from each other in the ring. With the XWA World Heavyweight Championship hanging above the ring, Samuel looks straight across the ring at his opposition with a look of pure focus. Xtreme on the other hand, looks slightly disgusted, like he shouldn’t even have to waste his time on Greg Samuel. In the ring with the two competitors stands Ryu Sanu and Jennifer Light. The timekeeper rings the bell three times, garnering the attention of the crowd in Phoenix to Jennifer Light, who is here to announce the competitors in this World Championship Ladder Match.

JENNIFER LIGHT: “This contest is your main event and is ladder match for the Xtreme Wrestling Association Heavyweight Championship of the World! The first wrestler to climb the ladder and retrieve the championship will walk out the champion! Introducing first, the challenger.”

The crowd cheers as they know who the challenger is. Samuel refuses to turn his attention from Razor Xtreme.

JENNIFER LIGHT: “From Kingfield, Maine. Weighing in at 210 pounds. He is ‘The Maine Attraction’ Greg Samuel!”

Without deviating his attention from Xtreme, Samuel sticks both arms up in the air, pointing with his pointer fingers. The crowd is sure to get loud for their favorite.

JENNIFER LIGHT: “And the champion. Hailing from Los Angeles, California. Weighing in at 225 pounds. He is the Xtreme Wrestling Association Heavyweight Champion of the World, ‘XWA’s Greatest of All Time’ Razor Xtreme!”

The crowd in the U.S. Airways Center voices their disdain for Razor Xtreme as the champion sticks both arms out to his sides, with his hands in fists. Jennifer Light exits the ring. Ryu Sanu checks with both competitors to make sure they are ready to start. Both of the wrestlers are indeed ready to kick off the main event. Sanu slides out of the ring, as his job is easy in this match. Sanu calls to the time keeper, who in turn rings the bell another three times, signifying the start of the match.

TED CEDAR: “Alright, we are underway with our main event here at Summer Sanitarium! Razor Xtreme, the champion, Greg Samuel, the challenger, one way to win, climb the ladder, take the title and it’s yours!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “You said it Teddy, this match is all about the Xtreme Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Championship. I’ve held the title three times, Razor has held it twice, Samuel is going for his first time. There is no bigger prize in our industry!”

TED CEDAR: “The title is up for grabs, quite literally, and you have to believe that both men will be putting it all on the line for the right to walk out of here the champion.”

Immediately, Razor Xtreme slides out of the ring. He backs up a little ways up the entrance way with a smirk on his face, mocking Samuel. The crowd boos the champion as he smirks, very proud of himself. “The Rated Y2X Superstar” notices a fan in the front row who is laying into him. Xtreme turns to the fan and starts feeding it right back to him. Meanwhile in the ring, Samuel bounces off the ropes opposite the side of the ring that Xtreme is on the outside. Full speed, “The Maine Attraction” charges across the ring, leaping a few steps before the ropes and taking flight. As he goes over the top rope, Samuel does a rotation, so he is now facing up toward the ceiling. In midair, the Number One Contender does a moonsault before crashing down on Xtreme on the outside. The crowd’s boos turn to cheers as Samuel lands on his feet over the downed World Champion. Immediately, Samuel begins stomping down on the Xtreme’s forehead. The flurry of stomps only elicits a bigger reaction out of the crowd in Phoenix. Samuel lays off with the boots, only to reach down and assist Razor back to a vertical base by the head. After getting the champion to a vertical base, “The Maine Attraction” rears back with his right arm before driving his forearm forward and driving it straight into Xtreme’s nose. Razor stumbles backwards clutching his nose as Samuel refuses to relent in the early goings of this World Championship match. The World Heavyweight Champion is bent over, feeling for any out of place bones in his nose as Samuel closes the gap between himself and his opposition. Razor senses Greg coming and throws an elbow into the midriff of the Number One Contender. Samuel doubles over and it is at this point that Razor grabs his the Maine native by the back of the head and begins charging toward the post. With as much force as he generate, Razor slams Samuel face first into the steel post. After colliding nose first with the post, “Mr. Match of the Night” falls flat on his back on the outside. After a very strong start for the Samuel, the champion has taken the advantage, much to the chagrin of the crowd in Phoenix.

TED CEDAR: “Samuel off to a quick start but Razor making his presence felt with a dastardly whip into the ring post!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “Greg started this out strong, only doing more to confirm his passion for this company and the grandest prize here! But if he wants it, he has to fight for it with a potentially broken nose after that collision!”

Xtreme feels his nose a little bit while Samuel rolls around on the floor in pain. The Californian looks down at Samuel with a smirk on his face. Razor yells, “YOU WILL NEVER GET MY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!” before lifting up a boot and stomping down on Samuel. Greg flinches in pain, but is motivated to become the World Champion, so he begins to fight back to a vertical base. As Samuel is on his hands and knees, Razor grabs him around the head and gets him back to his feet, rather viciously. After getting the Number One Contender back to his feet, “The Rated Y2X Superstar” drives a knee into his gut. Samuel is taken off his feet by the knee as the pain courses through his stomach. Keeping with the knees, Xtreme lifts a knee up, right into the already throbbing nose of his opposition. “The Maine Attraction” whips his head back, and he clutches his face. Without missing a step, Razor pulls the Number One Contender in, wrapping his arms around Samuel’s midsection, locking his hands. Xtreme lifts Samuel up off the ground and continues his momentum, lifting Samuel up and over, dropping him back first on the mat with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Samuel arches his back in pain, as his face tells the entire story of just how much pain he is in. Razor gets back to his feet, smirking as he is in complete control. The World Champion walks over to Samuel, leans over and yells, “THIS IS MY COMPANY.” The crowd is not appreciative of Razor’s antics. For his troubles, Xtreme gets a boot to the side of the head from Samuel. Xtreme stumbles backwards a couple steps, allowing Samuel the time he needs to rear his legs in towards his chest and kip up to his feet. Razor sees Samuel back at a vertical base and immediately charges over at him. Xtreme sticks out an arm, looking for a clothesline; but Samuel has the time to duck. “The Maine Attraction” turns around to face the World Champion, and while Razor is staggered, Samuel swings a forearm up through the jaw. Razor staggers back a little way, but Greg closes the gap almost immediately. Samuel grabs Razor by the forearm before whipping him into the barricade. The barricade has moved backwards a good half a foot after the collision. Razor arches his back in pain while the crowd cheers Samuel. “The Maine Attraction” drags Xtreme off of the barricade, before wrapping his arm around the left ankle. With a focused look on his face, Samuel drops to his back, perform a DDT on the World Champion’s leg. Xtreme yells and reaches down towards his leg as all the muscles are being unnaturally pulled. “Mr. Match of the Night” gets up to his feet, keeping Xtreme’s foot in hand. With little wasted motion, Samuel sticks out his elbow and drops it down on the knee. Razor writhes in pain as it appears that the former Intercontinental Champion is focusing on the leg.

DAVID MICHAELS: “It seems to me that Samuel is working on Razor’s leg. If you’re on a bad leg, you can’t climb!”

TED CEDAR: “I would agree, it’s a time tested strategy, and a strategy that could win Samuel his first World Championship!”

After standing up, Samuel again goes to the left leg, this time picking it up, using it to turn Xtreme over onto his stomach and then locking in a Single Leg Boston Crap. “The Rated Y2X Superstar” grabs at his hair, trying to distract himself from the pain coursing through his left leg. Razor pounds his fist down on the mat, doing anything he can to stop himself from feeling the pain. Samuel leans back, further cinching in the hold. It is at this point that Razor can’t take the pain anymore, but he can’t tap out. Xtreme lifts his body up off the ground, and is desperately fighting for an escape. In an almost contortionist-like feat, Razor is able to slip his entire upper body through Samuel’s legs so that he now is on his back. With his good leg, the champion drives the sole of his boot through his opposition’s chest. Samuel falls to his back, but is quickly back to a vertical base. Xtreme slides away, attempting to buy some time until the blood gets flowing in his leg. “The Maine Attraction” doesn’t allow Razor any space, pulling him right back up to a vertical base. Fighting to buy himself some time, Razor slides into the ring, only to roll straight back out. Ignorantly, the Number One Contender follows him, only to receive a forearm to the forehead for his trouble. Samuel falls backwards into the ring apron. On one leg, Razor grabs Samuel’s arm and whips him up the entrance way. The only thing in Greg’s way to stop his momentum is a ladder, and that ladder does indeed stop his momentum, clotheslining the Maine native and sending him down to the concrete. The metal connecting with his neck takes all the wind out of Samuel’s lungs. The Number One Contender’s grasps for air are audible as he tries to get air back. Knowing this is his chance to recuperate and set up for his dominance, Razor grabs a ladder and slides it into the ring. With a smirk on his face, despite limping around on one leg, “XWA’s Savior” holds a fist in the air, to signify his belief in his dominance. Under the ladder, “The Maine Attraction” has gotten his wits about him a little bit and is determined not to let the ladder take him out. Greg begins to work his way back to his feet and Razor grabs another ladder. With this ladder, Razor walks over to the side of the ring where that is completely facing the fans. The World Champion lifts the ladder up and places it between the guardrail and the ring apron. While he is doing so, Samuel has made it back to his feet and is charging over towards him. Catching the champion off guard, “Mr. Match of the Night” throws a forearm down on Razor’s back. Xtreme arches his back, but before Samuel can follow up on the offense, Razor catches him in the ribs with an elbow. With Greg bent over, the Californian grabs him by the trunks and the back of the neck and slides him into the ring.

TED CEDAR: “Back into the ring for the first time since the bell!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “With a ladder in the ring, it’s go time! Go get the title, go home World Champion!”

Soon after sliding Samuel in the ring, Razor follows him in. Both men get back to a vertical base, Razor just a half a step slower as he has taken a lot of the punishment to this point. “The Maine Attraction” charges at Razor, looking to regain the upper hand, only to have those attempts thwarted by the champion’s boot in his midsection. Samuel doubles over, and is quickly met by a raised knee into his forehead. Samuel falls to his back and immediately clutches his forehead, feeling for an opening in his flesh. Razor smirks, knowing very well he is in firm control. The World Champion walks over to the side of the ring where the ladder lies, just waiting to be introduced into the match. Xtreme picks up the ladder, grasping is by two rungs. With Samuel now stirring, Razor camps out in the corner, waiting for the Number One Contender to get back to his feet. Groggily, Samuel stands back up, fighting to keep his balance after the knee shook him. Before the Maine native can fully regain his wits, Razor charges at him and connects with the ladder square to the forehead. Samuel falls to his back hard, and the air is taken out of the arena. Greg rolls onto his stomach, face buried in the mat in an attempt to fight of the pain. With a smirk on his face, Razor walks over to the same corner he was perched in, and this time leans the ladder in the corner. Xtreme then approaches Samuel, who has been on the mat lifeless for a good ten seconds at this point. “The Rated Y2X Superstar” stands over Samuel to his left side, then using his right hand to grab under Samuel’s chin, lifting his face up into the air. Razor reveals Samuel’s now bloodied forehead. Samuel’s face shows just how much has been taken out of him through the short period of time that Razor has had the advantage in this match. A heinous look crosses Xtreme’s face as he yells, “ARE YOU DONE YET? YOU WILL NEVER BE THE WORLD CHAMPION! YOU DON’T DESERVE TO CARRY MY GEAR!” The crowd fills the arena with boos.  Xtreme uses the grip on Samuel’s head to pull him back to a vertical base.

TED CEDAR: “If you didn’t believe it before, you may just buy into it now. Razor Xtreme is a man that is driven by hate and the belief that no one can compare to him.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “I won’t lie to you, I hate Razor Xtreme. He’s cocky, and he’s annoying, but damn it all he’s great in that ring.”

TED CEDAR: “But you can’t agree with Razor that Samuel doesn’t even deserve to be here.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “Of course not! ¬¬¬If there is anything Greg Samuel has proven, it’s his worth to this company! And let’s not forget, he was dominating early!”

After Xtreme gets him up, Samuel pushes Razor away, freeing up some space to attempt to get some offense. Samuel steps toward Razor and throws a punch, connecting to the forehead. Razor’s head snaps back, caught off guard by the punch. Samuel closes the gap again, looking to keep the advantage, only to be caught by a blatant eye poke by Xtreme. “Mr. Match of the Night” stumbles around, unable to see thanks to the dirty tactics from the World Champion. Razor takes a second to come back to after the punch from Samuel, but then quickly makes his way over to Samuel, who is turned away from him. Razor wraps his arms around the Maine native’s midriff, locking his hands. With a clear plan in mind, Xtreme pulls Samuel near the corner that has the ladder propped up. The crowd is speechless, hoping that the champion isn’t about to do what they think he is. Without a wasted movement, Xtreme lifts Samuel up into the air and over his own body, causing Samuel’s back and neck to harshly collide with the rungs of the ladder. “The Maine Attraction” slides down the ladder before landing on the mat, yelling in agony and kicking around after the German Suplex. Razor gets back to his feet before looking down at his opponent. Seeing the opportunity, Razor slides out of the ring and quickly grabs a ladder. The self-proclaimed best in XWA races to get the ladder and himself back into the ring before standing up and setting up the ladder underneath the championship. Xtreme begins to climb the ladder, looking to capture his World Championship. Seeing Razor go after the championship acts like a shot of adrenaline in the arm for Samuel, as he does everything in his power to get to his hands and knees and crawl over to the ladder. Greg puts his hands on the ladder and pushes, causing the ladder to tip over as Razor reaches the half way mark on the ladder. The World Champion is able to land on his feet, slightly irritated that the Number One Contender still is fighting. Razor approaches Samuel, who is on one knee, and pulls him back to a vertical base. It’s obvious that Greg is battered, but refuses to give up. Xtreme grabs the former Intercontinental Champion by the wrist and whips him in the direction of the ladder. Samuel is barreling towards the ladder that has already caused him so much pain in this match, but is able to stop him momentum before colliding with the steel. The Californian sees Samuel put the brakes on, and adjusts his offense accordingly. Samuel turns around, only to find the World Champion barreling at him. “Mr. Match of the Night” saves himself by side stepping Razor, leading to the brash wrestler colliding head and neck first with the ladder. The crowd goes wild as Samuel drops to a knee, looking for a second to regain some energy.

TED CEDAR: “Samuel with the fighting spirit that he has shown time and time again in this company! Razor better be careful because before he knows it, Greg will have him down and out, and we will have a new World Champion!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “The passion for this company and this business runs deep in this kid’s veins. He wants to represent this company more than words can possibly begin to describe!”

Razor stumbles up to his feet, feeling the pulsation of his shoulder with his unaffected arm. Samuel gets back to a vertical base and approaches the champion as fast as his battered body will allow. “The Maine Attraction” puts both his hands on the chest of Xtreme and pushes him backwards into the ladder. It wasn’t pretty, but it accomplished what Samuel was shooting for as Razor collides with the ladder. Seeing an opportunity to dish out some offense, the Number One Contender charges into the opposite corner. “Mr. Match of the Night” proceeds to charge toward the champion, before leaping into the air and bombarding Xtreme with a Stinger Splash. After being sandwiched between the ladder and all 212 pounds of Greg Samuel, the California native drops to his knees before falling to his face. Samuel grabs the ladder that he knocked down and sets it back up. “The Maine Attraction” begins to climb the ladder, gingerly but at a steady pace as he sees his World Championship aspirations within reach. Razor sees Samuel climbing the ladder and gets back to a vertical base as quick as he can, before stumbling over to the ladder and climbing the opposite side. Both men get to the top of the ladder, and immediately begin trading punches. Between the punches, each man reaches up and attempts to grab the World Championship, trying everything in their power to bring home the grand prize. Samuel elevates the risk my lifting a boot into “The Rated Y2X Superstar’s” side. Xtreme wobbles a little bit, and it’s at this point that Samuel has the opening. Samuel wraps his arm around the back of Xtreme’s neck. “The Maine Attraction” grabs Xtreme’s tights before lifting him up into the air and then leaping off the ladder. Samuel lands on the mat in a sitting position, driving Xtreme’s face into the mat with a Facebuster. Razor clutches his face, checking his nose for breaks, as he kicks around on the mat. The crowd is buzzing as Samuel pushes back to his feet slowly. Once making it back to a vertical base, Samuel rolls Razor onto his back, obviously setting up for some offense. With the World Champion know starring up at the ceiling, “The Maine Attraction” climbs the ladder. About three-quarters of the way up the later, Samuel stops and looks down at the motionless Razor on the mat. The former Intercontinental Champion proceeds to takes his right foot off the ladder, turning his back to Razor, and then using he left foot to leap off the rung of the ladder and into the air. Samuel does a backflip before landing down on Xtreme with a Moonsault off the ladder. The crowd chants “Holy Shit!” as Razor rolls onto the ring apron, where he will find no escape from the pain coursing through his midriff. Samuel clutches his midsection as he kicks around on the mat, propped up on his elbows and knees.

TED CEDAR: “NO WAY! NO DAMN WAY! MOONSAULT OFF THE LADDER! ”

DAVID MICHAELS: “Greg Samuel going all in for the company he loves, and it pays off big time!”

Determined to become the World Champion, Samuel fights through the self-inflicted pain to get up and slide onto the ring apron where Razor lays. Greg reaches down and grabs his opposition’s head, working him back up to a vertical base, fighting Razor’s dead weight. Once getting back Razor back up, Samuel pulls the champion in, reaching across his body to grab him on the shoulder furthest away. “Mr. Match of the Night” leaps backwards, bringing Razor with him and slamming the XWA veteran down through the ladder he setup earlier in the match with a Fatal Attraction. The roof flies off the U.S. Airways Center as no one expected Samuel to pull out his old finisher, much less through the ladder. Both men are down, and the crowd is passionately trying to get Samuel back to a vertical base so he can claim the World Championship. Samuel lies on his back, while Razor is on his stomach. With no count-outs in this match, it feels like the two competitors are down for an eternity before showing any signs of life. Samuel begins to work his way back up, obviously favoring his back. A “Let’s go Greg” chant breaks out throughout the crowd as the challenger slowly makes it back up. Razor finally shows some signs of life, rolling onto his back, revealing that he is now sporting a crimson mask, much like Samuel has for a good portion of this match. Samuel gets back to a vertical base after much exerted effort, and he stumbles around, with a hand reaching for his back, which is quickly bruising after falling through the ladder. Greg uses the middle rope to pull himself up, knee first, onto the ring apron. Samuel stands up then climbs back into the ring, under the top rope. Outside the ring, Razor is desperately clawing his way toward the ring, trying to get back up to a vertical base. The crowd is going nuts, as they have no doubt that this is Greg’s time to shine. Samuel tenderly walks over to the ladder, before slowly climbing, using all the energy he has to get to the World Championship. If it wasn’t before, it’s painfully obvious just how much “The Maine Attraction’s” back is hurting him, and it’s effecting his ability to climb the ladder in a timely manner. Using the ring apron, Xtreme is able to claw up to a vertical base before sliding into the ring. Once in the ring, Razor sees Samuel climbing the ladder, which only serves as inspiration for him to get up and thwart the Number One Contender’s dreams. Razor pushes his body past its limits to get back to a vertical base. He then stumbles over to Samuel, who is only about half way up the ladder. Razor then gets under Samuel, facing away from the ladder. The World Champion picks Samuel up and simply leans forward, driving the former Intercontinental Champion back first onto the mat with a simple but effective powerbomb. The crowd goes silent, seeing Samuel arch his back a yell a primal scream of pain. Razor sits on the mat with a distant look in his eyes, and is soon treated to a chorus of boos from the crowd, who just want to see Greg Samuel achieve his World Championship aspirations. Everyone in the arena is worried that the shot to the back is the end for Samuel.

TED CEDAR: “Huge powerbomb off the ladder from Razor!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “That’s it, Goodnight Greg!”

TED CEDAR: “How can you possibly write Greg off? We’ve seen him fight and fight time and time again.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “You saw how he was favoring his back. It’s over at this point, after that big powerbomb.”

Razor realizes he needs to capitalize, so he gets back to his feet before going out onto the ring apron. The World Champion gets up to the top rope, in the same corner where the ladder that has done so much damage in this match sits. Razor grabs the ladder before leaping into the air. “The Rated Y2X Superstar” rides the ladder over Samuel, landing on his feet on the other side, using all his strength to slam the ladder down into Samuel’s midsection. Greg’s arms shoot to his ribs, as his entire midsection is in a world of pain. Razor pushes the ladder off of Samuel, then picking up the Number One Contender. Razor then lifts Samuel up on his shoulder, facing up towards the ceiling. Quickly, Razor lifts Samuel off his shoulders as he falls to his back, sticking his knees out, leaving Samuel to hit back first on both of the World Champion’s knees. Greg yells in agony upon impact, and he rolls over to the ropes. Razor is confident that he can grab the World Championship and begins to climb the ladder. Samuel looks to be down and out, causing the crowd to boo, as they feel that Razor is going to retain his championship. The crowd begins to chant “We Want Greg,” mocking the World Champion. Razor stops in his place and looks out at them, disgustedly. In return, The Californian yells “Yeah, Well he’s never going to be the World Champion!” Hearing that exchange lights a fire in Samuel, who quickly grabs the ropes and works his way back to a vertical base, unusually quick for someone with an injury as severe as his. Noticing Samuel, Razor double times it to the top of the ladder, attempting to retrieve his championship. Samuel matches Razor’s speed up the ladder, and as he is about two-thirds up the ladder, Samuel throws a forearm to Xtreme’s midsection, allowing himself time to get to the top of the ladder. Out of desperation, “The Maine Attraction” leaps forward, doing a front flip and grabbing Razor’s head. Both men fall from the top of the ladder, with Samuel driving the back of the World Champion’s neck onto the mat with a Blockbuster from the top of the rope. The crowd explodes with excitement as Razor grabs his neck in pain. Samuel rolls out to the floor, where he lands on his feet and has a few seconds to recover.

TED CEDAR: “OH MY GOD! Razor Xtreme driven neck first on the mat with that Blockbuster style neckbreaker from the top of the ladder”

DAVID MICHAELS: “…I don’t know what to say to that. I would have bet my bottom dollar Greg Samuel was out of this match.”

Greg grabs the ladder that was slammed into his midsection, and pulls it to the outside. The Number One Contender gets the ladder stuck between the bottom and middle ropes, over by the corner. Samuel then slides back into the ring and picks Razor up by the legs, dragging him over to the ladder. Samuel then sticks the World Champions feet into the holes of the ladder, getting the World Champion stuck in the rungs of the ladder. With Razor now immobile, Samuel reaches down and grabs the back of the champion’s neck, lifting him up off the mat. Samuel swiftly leaps in the air, and drives all of his weight down on the chest of his opposition with a double foot stomp. Samuel falls forward to his knees as Razor struggles for breath. Samuel pushes back to his feet and begins stomping down on Xtreme’s legs, further wearing down the champions legs. Samuel then drops to his back and slides out of the ring. “The Maine Attraction” grabs the ladder and pulls backwards, trying to pull the champion with the ladder. Samuel manages to get the ladder unstuck from the ropes, but it also loses Razor’s legs, causing Samuel to fall to his back, with the ladder crushing him. As Samuel lands on the outside, his back injury is aggravated, causing him to lay there for a few seconds. Samuel gingerly pushes back to his feet, while in the ring Razor uses the ropes to get back to a vertical base. The effects of this match are evident in both men as they get back to a vertical base. Upon reaching his feet, Samuel reaches down and grabs the ladder, looking to bring it back into the ring. In the ring, Razor has made it back to his feet, and is leaning on the ropes in the corner. “The Maine Attraction” slides the ladder over the bottom rope. The Californian sees an opportunity, leaping in the air and putting all his weight down on the ladder, causing the other end to shoot up into Samuel’s face, reopening the wound on his forehead. Samuel falls back into the barrier. Blood streams down the Number One Contender’s face as he leans on the guardrail.

TED CEDAR: “OH GOD! That could have ruined Greg’s face!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “You are not kidding! Razor is a dastardly human being that will do anything to prove that he is the best in the XWA.”

Razor picks up the ladder that he just drove into Samuel’s face and slides it all the way into the ring. The World Champion then proceeds to set that ladder up between the ropes and one of the rungs of the ladder that is set up under the World Championship. On the outside, Samuel wipes some blood off of his forehead, in attempts to keep the blood out of his eyes. The Rated Y2X Superstar begins to climb the ladder on the side opposite where he set up the ladder. Samuel sees Razor gingerly climbing the ladder after all the punishment he has taken, and that spurs Samuel to get back into the ring and stop him, despite the pain that would stop a less driven human. “The Maine Attraction” slides under the bottom rope and then gets to his feet. The horizontal ladder provides to be little of an obstacle for the high-flyer, who leaps on top of it with relative ease. Samuel begins to climb the vertical ladder as Razor reaches the top. Infuriated that he didn’t even have a chance to reach for the World Championship before Samuel met him on top, Razor is ready to do something to end this match for Samuel. The World Champion swings his right foot up and into the temple of Samuel with a roundhouse kick. Samuel falls back, colliding back first into the ladder. “The Maine Attraction” arches his back and grabs the side of his head in pain. Razor lost his balance after the kick, falling down to the mat. Razor pushes back to his feet while Samuel does the same, but slower. Razor is up first, but is followed not too soon after by Samuel, who is clearly hurting all through from his head down to his waist. The crowd is willing Samuel into the match, keeping him going and reaching for that World Championship. Razor approaches the ladder that Samuel stands on, looking to keep the momentum in his favor. Samuel sees Razor coming and leaps off the ladder, out of desperation. “Mr. Match of the Night” sticks his left arm out, looking like he is about to perform a clothesline. Out of nowhere, Samuel twists his body to his left, grabbing around Xtreme’s neck, slamming him down on the mat with the move he calls Attraction Theory.

TED CEDAR: “Samuel with a sling blade off the ladder, slamming Razor down to the mat.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “Could this be Samuel’s chance? Can he capture that World Championship here and live his dream?”

The crowd is on their feet cheering on Samuel, who pushes past the pain, getting back to his feet and looking to seize his opportunity. Razor rolls over onto his stomach, looking to get his weight off his back, thus alleviating some of the pain. Samuel reaches down and grabs the head of the World Champion, working on bringing him back to a vertical base. Getting the World Champion up is a huge task as Razor’s body is limp, after the punishment he has taken in this match. Samuel manages to finally get the champion up, then dragging him in line with the horizontal ladder that champion set up. Greg pushes Razor into the ropes, who then comes running back. “The Maine Attraction” lifts Xtreme up into the air by the legs and then drops to his back, slamming Razor’s face down into the horizontal ladder. “The Rated Y2X Superstar’s” head bounces off the ladder, but he manages to grab the ladder, keeping himself vertical. Samuel pushes back to his feet following the Flapjack, with the crowd abuzz as he has full control of this match up. Greg lifts Razor’s limp body up onto the ladder, laying him back first on the steel. Samuel walks to the opposite side of the ladder and climbs up to the top. “The Maine Attraction” stands on the very top of the ladder. The Number One Contender looks down at the champion, before looking out to the crowd, giving him enough of an adrenaline rush to leap off of the ladder, doing a backflip, landing down on Razor Xtreme with a Shooting Star Press. The ladder that held up Xtreme collapses after coming unhooked from the rungs. Both men collapse to the mat, Samuel kicking and grabbing his midsection. Razor shows no life while Samuel kicks around, trying to get himself psyched up enough to get back up and climb the ladder. The Number One Contender reminds himself that he is only steps away from the World Championship as the crowd goes wild, beginning Samuel to get up and claim the title. “The Maine Attraction” pushes up to his feet, at a slow but steady pace. Greg approaches the ladder before putting his left foot on the bottom rung. He climbs, rung by rung until he can reach the championship. Samuel then grabs the World Heavyweight Championship with his right hand before unhooking the buttons with the other and pulling the championship down into his possession.

TED CEDAR: “HE DID IT! GREG SAMUEL DID IT! HE IS THE XWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION”

DING-DING-DING

JENNIFER LIGHT: “Here is your winner… AND NEW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, ‘THE MAINE ATTRACTION’ GREG SAMUEL!”

Greg leans over the ladder, letting the championship drape down the ladder. The crowd is all giving the new World Heavyweight Champion a standing ovation, voicing how happy they are to have his represent them as the champion. Ryu Sanu slides into the ring and checks on Razor. Greg straightens his spine on, as pain courses through his back. With blood on his face and tears in his eyes, Samuel looks out to the crowd and holds up his World Championship belt. Black and red confetti falls from the heavens as all of the fans in the front three rows throw matching streamers into the ring, making for a picturesque celebration for the man atop the ladder, who has achieved his dream.

DAVID MICHAELS: “Congratulations to Greg Samuel for joining the club and becoming the new XWA World Heavyweight Champion!”

TED CEDAR: “Inspiring story if I’ve ever seen one! After five years in the company, and numerous shots at the company’s grandest prize, tonight, at Summer Sanitarium 2015, Greg Samuel has made his life-long dream a reality!”

Greg lifts his left leg up and over, sitting on top of the ladder. Samuel then grabs the championship with both hands and lifts it up over his head. The crowd keeps their applause going for Samuel. With streamers and confetti flying through the air, and the new champion holding his title up with pride, Summer Sanitarium 2015 fades to black.

PostSubject: Re: ME) World Heavyweight Championship - Razor Xtreme(c) vs. Greg Samuel - Ladder Match   ME) World Heavyweight Championship - Razor Xtreme(c) vs. Greg Samuel - Ladder Match EmptyWed Jul 08, 2015 9:05 am

{Prologue}
The XWA World Heavyweight Championship. The most coveted prize in the entire company. Having it automatically places you at the top of the food chain – the top of the ladder. It has been passed along all the greats, and now it finds itself in the clutches of the self-proclaimed “Greatest of All Time” Razor Xtreme. The man who claims he will be the longest reigning XWA World Heavyweight Champion of all time and cement his legacy as the greatest competitor to ever set foot in an XWA ring (or any ring for that matter.) In his way stands the ever-resilient Greg Samuels. The young man who has set his sights on that title since he stepped foot in the ring 5 years ago. Though he has been unsuccessful in his journey thus far, tonight might be the night that he finally ends his 5-year-long journey and claims his title. Between both of them lies tons of hard steel in the shape of ladders. The only way to win this match is the climb one of the many ladders and retrieve the championship gold. Will Greg Samuel rise to the occasion and ascend the ladder of dreams, or will Razor Xtreme both metaphorically and literally ascend the ladder of greatness and retain? Only one of these men can walk out of Summer Sanitarium as the XWA World Heavyweight Champion.

DING! DING! DING!

Both men have been introduced. Both men have made their entrances. In Razor's corner stands none other than the devious Eric Goodman, who has a huge chuckle of worry-free on his face. Greg Samuel, on the other hand, is accompanied by no one but his own will. The ring is surrounded by various ladders and high above the ring stands the glorious golden chalice, the world heavyweight championship. Both men prepare to do war as the referee moves out of the way and lets them go at it. Both men dart at each other from their respective corners and go at it. This isn't a technical match, these guys just wanna hurt each other as much as they can. They both begin to flail their right fists as they swing for defenses with some hard rights. They lock their left arms and shoot with their right. Fist after fist after fist, from both men. Greg's specialty is more technical and aerial, so he isn't as used to brawling as the technical brawler, Razor Xtreme. Because of this, he is out-punched, as the world champ begins to swing away with some hard rights to the face, and Greg can't take the fists anymore. However, the “Maine Attraction” decides to use his specialty as he catches one of Razor's right arms and flings him over for a quick hip toss! This catches the world champ off guard as he slides out of the ring under the bottom rope. He stands near Eric Goodman and begins to angrily look inside the ring, as Greg is on his two feet and he's yelling “Come on! Bring it!” Razor taunts a re-entry into the ring, but Greg quickly charges at him, causing Razor to slide back out. Razor then turns and sees a ladder a few feet away from him. Greg takes notice of this and quickly darts to the opposite side of the ring to grab a ladder as well. Razor ditches the ladder and slides back into the ring right before Greg slides his ladder in and is blinded by adrenaline. Greg slides back into the ring right into an early Big Boot by the Rated Y2X competitor! The challenger hits the mat as Razor quickly picks the ladder up off the ground and begins to set it up.

David Michaels: “Well, that took them almost no time. Ladders, already? These guys are serious.”

Ted Cedar: “Both of them want that coveted title, and they will do anything to end this match quickly, as they each know what the other is capable of.”

Razor sets the ladder up in the middle of the ring and then notices that Greg is starting to get up onto his knees. The champ darts over to the challenger, only to get a stiff right shoulder directly to the ribs. Razor backs off a bit as Samuel makes it up to his feet. He quickly shoots a right hand, blasting Razor directly in the face. Razor backs into the corner and Greg quickly begins thrusting away with his shoulder, right into the sternum of the world champ. Greg takes a breath before he puts his head down under and his all of his body to raise the champ up onto the top turnbuckle. Xtreme begins to make his way to his feet on the top turnbuckle, but the feisty challenger is right on top of it as he quickly climbs to the top as well. He swings not one, not two, but three right hands, as he tries to keep Razor out of it. He then hooks Razor in a facelock as he tries to get him up and over for a Superplex. The weight difference between the two men – a whopping ~20 pounds – forces Greg to have to use a lot of his strength. However, Razor manages to take advantage of this as he quickly leaps over Greg's head and lands behind him, right inside the ring, on two feet. Meanwhile, Greg stands with his back to him and Xtreme quickly charges at him before he can perform an aerial maneuver and drops him by pushing both of his legs forward, forcing Samuel to land on his ass on the top rope – with his back facing the ring. Razor quickly begins clubbing away, not wanting to give the challenger any opportunity to breath. The champ then tucks his head under Samuel's legs and then lifts him up onto his head for an electric chair. The challenger is resilient, so he begins to drop some quick and hard rights to the forehead of Razor to keep him dazed. The champ stumbles over to the set-up ladder in the middle of the ring and Greg quickly uses his leverage point on Razor's shoulders to jump up onto the ladder by grabbing on with both hands as he begins to climb up. He's almost at the top by the time he starts climbing, and Razor panics.

David Michaels: “Genius move by the quirky little man. He's got the guts to win this whole thing, Cedar.”

Ted Cedar: “But Razor is sneaky and more experienced, plus Greg has never been at the top of the ladder – figuratively of course, Razor has that advantage too.”

The champ quickly holds on to the right leg of “Mr. Match of the Night” as he tries to tug him down into the ring. However, Greg will not give up – as he begins to flail his leg until Razor is pulled in and then kicked straight back by the challenger. Xtreme is forced to the side as Greg begins to climb up the ladder once more. Razor quickly jumps to the ropes and then bounces forward before using the momentum of the run to push the ladder all the way over! The challenger tries to brace himself for the fall, and ends up landing in a very awkward position on the top rope, possibly tearing off his own right leg! Greg doesn't fall onto the mat in pain, but instead shows his fighting spirit by getting up onto his feet and limping over. Big mistake, as the vicious Razor Xtreme already has his eyes set. Razor quickly wraps his left arm around Samuels' neck and his right arm around Samuels' leg before spinning at an insane speed and driving the challenger into the mat with a snap powerslam. This is purely to keep him down, as Razor didn't forget about that damaged right leg. The sneaky champion quickly pulls the leaning ladder onto the ground and closes it all the way as Greg tries to scurry into the corner for protection, knowing he is in a bad position. Razor lays the ladder on the ground in the middle of the ring and then gets a wicked smile on his face. He then walks over to the competitor, who is trying to use the turnbuckle to get to his feet, but as soon as he does, he's floored by a running forearm by the champ. Xtreme knows he is in a great position right now, and he's ready to take full advantage of it. He takes a moment to catch his breath and then leans over to pull Samuel by the leg towards the center of the ring. He opens the ladder just a little bit, and then tucks the challengers' right leg into the rungs. With an evil smile on his face, he begins to left the top part of the ladder.

Ted Cedar: “Oh for the love of GOD. This is not going to be good for Greg. This is just flat out dangerous! He could be seriously hurt!”

David Michaels: “I've felt that kind of pain in my career. Not pretty, I will tell you that right now.”

Greg's leg is then brutally sandwiched between the ladder as the merciless champ begins to quickly flail the top half of the ladder up and down viciously, smashing Greg's leg under it every time. The challenger yelps in pain, but the sounds of his agony don't cause any sort of sympathy within the evil man known as Razor Xtreme. He continues to drive the steel down into his leg. A look of support and happiness comes from the outside via an equally evil man in Eric Goodman. The champ finally smashes down one more time and decides to give the poor challenger a break. He gets off him and then pulls the ladder away from him as he then picks the ladder up and sets it up once again, taking his time. He is confident that Greg will stay down this time, and doesn't bother to rush to get the job done. He begins to ascend the ladder slowly, climbing to the top to retrieve what is rightfully his. He is about halfway up when the challenger realizes he needs to fight the pain and get up, or else he's done. He grabs on to the nearby ropes and with every ounce of resistance in his body, he gets up to his feet. The challenger stands on one leg, using his hurt right leg only for support and balance when he needs it. He begins to limp over to the ladder as Razor is almost all the way up. Greg realizes he isn't going to race up there in time, so instead he opts to take the same approach that his opponent did as he begins to push the ladder over. However, the conniving Razor realizes that his opponent is up – much to his own surprise, and he quickly leaps off at the last second. He lands a bit roughly, possibly hurting his back, but it mustn't be that bad, as he manages to quickly charge back towards the challenger. He quickly leaps up as both men run towards each other and he quickly drives the bottom of his foot into Samuels' face, executing a picture-perfect calf kick. All the momentum Greg thought he had going for him is quickly rid of, as he is once again under the mercy of the violent Razor Xtreme.

David Michaels: “This kid can not catch a break, can he?”

Ted Cedar: “Razor is a sneaky and smart opponent. Greg's gonna have to try his best if he doesn't want to get defeated. There is a reason Razor Xtreme is the world champion.”

Razor shakes his head, realizing that Greg has yet to learn his lesson. He quickly slides out under the bottom rope and exits the ring, grabbing a hold of Samuels' right leg as he does. He quickly drags him toward him and then knots his legs around the steel post. He quickly grabs the right leg, and much to Greg's horror, he slams it into the ring post relentlessly! Once more, and then again. That leg is being shown absolutely no sympathy by the champ. Greg can do nothing but take the uncompromising pain being dealt to him. Razor finally gives in and decides to give him a short rest, as he then turns his attention to one of the other ladders outside the ring. He quickly walks over to it and then folds it before making sure it's sturdy and folded. He lifts it up and then places one part of it on the ring apron and the other part on the barricade, creating a bridge with the ladder. Only malicious intentions are in the mind of Razor Xtreme, as he comes up with several different ways to possibly permanently damage his foe. Greg is tending to his leg as the champ is right on his ass again. Xtreme quickly drags him out from under the ropes and then leans him against the ring apron before continuing his vicious onslaught of right hands to Samuels' face. Greg is defenseless as he tucks his head down in near unconsciousness. Razor smirks as Goodman begins to approach the two men outside the ring. The champ eyes a ladder that is still standing outside the ring and he quickly tries to use it to his advantage. He grabs a hold of Greg's right arm and the back of his head before he launches him full speed towards the standing ladder. Razor drops his guard for one moment, expecting Samuel to be crushed against the ladder, but unbeknownst to him, the challenger still has some acrobat in him despite his hurt leg, and he displays it efficiently as he leaps up onto the middle of the ladder, using primarily his left left for balance. Razor darts towards him, but Greg leaps backwards, scissoring his legs around and shifting his weight in mid-air as he catches the champion right across the face with his signature 12th Maine! Otherwise known as the springboard roundhouse kick, except he does it off the ladder, giving it slightly more leverage. Razor falls to the mat as the fans cheer for the first time in a very long time in this match. However, unfortunately for Greg, he also felt the brunt of that impact, as his hurt leg was the one that connected with Razor's face.

Ted Cedar: “and now the tides may have just turned. Greg looks to be downed as well, however, as he hit Razor with his damaged leg!”

David Michaels: “Whether or not the tides are turned, this will definitely buy Greg some time to recover a little. That's never a bad thing!”

The champ hits the ground outside as he tends to his face, the challenger is in a similar position except he tends to his leg. Goodman darts over to his client, and quickly begins to check on him. Razor took a hard kick to the face, he is hurting. Greg slowly begins to work his way up to his feet by using the steel steps as a guide. He works his way up to his feet as Razor is still slowly getting up. The challenger walks over to his opponent and he quickly scares off the deviant Eric Goodman, forcing him to run all the way to the other side of the ring. Greg picks his opponent off the ground and then drives a rough forearm to the face of the Los Angeles native. He drives one rough forearm, followed by another, and another. At first the forearms are slow, but then he starts going all out with a blitz of rough and unforgiving forearms, trying to release all his frustrations on the champ, and paying him back for the damage to his leg. Razor is near unconscious by the time Samuel has unloaded all of his fury. The fans are cheering on the assault, as Greg stops the forearms and focuses on something else – the bridge ladder. He realizes that he won't keep Razor down just yet, so he pulls the champ right back up onto his feet and then turns his back against the bridged ladder before grabbing a hold of Razor's arm and shoving him backwards before pulling him right back in and raising him high above his head, making sure to keep his left leg grounded the most for balance as he throws Razor face-first onto the bridged-ladder with his signature move, the “Match Maker” - otherwise known as the flapjack! The champ lands roughly on the bridged ladder as he rolls onto it and lays on it like a bed, trying his best to keep his composure as he tightens his gut and puts pressure on it with his hands to ease the pain. Greg shakes off the pain in his leg – realizing that this may be his only chance to have full control of this match.

Ted Cedar: “Greg Samuel showing why he is the number one contender! Just when it seemed like Razor had this match in full control, Samuel shows up to prove him otherwise!”

David Michaels: “Now all he's gotta do is keep the momentum going, Ted. He can't let it get to him!”

Greg Samuel stands on both legs outside the ring, he eyes Razor as the champ lies across the ladder, taking the shape of the bridge. He realizes that he has a perfect shot at his special move, and he has to take it now. He slides into the ring, fighting against all the pain in his right leg – being the warrior and fighting competitor that he is – and he limps over to the turnbuckle, using the ropes as an assistance to aid him in his groggy walk over. Razor is lifeless on the ladder-bridge and Samuel begins to quickly ascend the ropes – much to the fans' delight, as they cheer very loudly for this action. The challenger makes his way to the top as he stands high above everyone. He takes a leap of faith as he attempts to execute his Shooting Star Press finisher! But what he forgot about was the wild card of this match – the manager of the evil world champ! Eric Goodman darts into place and pulls his client off the ladder at the last second, forcing Greg to flat line right into the unforgiving bridged-ladder stomach-first, possibly taking him out of this match for good! Razor rolls off to the side as the fans quickly begin to boo loudly for this. Goodman tries to slap Razor back to life – literally, as he begins to give Xtreme a few love taps courtesy of his right hand to the cheek, but the champ is barely conscious after taking two consecutive signature moves right to the face, both of them aided by a ladder. Greg is still in the rubble formerly known as the ladder-bridge, which is now more of a ladder-V as the whole thing bent in half off the impact – including Greg. Razor begins to slowly wake up with the help of Eric Goodman, and Samuel is barely in this at all. The champ makes his way up to his feet by holding on to Goodman – who is desperately trying to get him up. Once he's up, Xtreme chuckles for the first time in several minutes, and the fans did not miss that evil grin at all, as they begin to boo him once again.

Ted Cedar: “That twisted son of a bitch! That was underhandedness at its worst! Why is Eric Goodman even out here?”

David Michaels: “Goodman just ruined what could have been Greg's move to victory, and he may very well have cost him the whole damn thing!”

Razor's forehead has a noticeable line of blood – likely courtesy of the flapjack onto the ladder – and he doesn't even seem to mind it, he's been through far worse. Razor takes a few moments to regroup, and as soon as he's back into it, he completely forgets about the task at hand and instead decides to go punish the man that almost flattened him for good. He drags Greg out of the rubble and then walks over to the ring apron and pulls the flap up before dragging yet another ladder into the mix. But this time, instead of opening it, he turns Greg onto his back and then presses the ladder right across him; coincidentally, like a bridge. He then takes a hold of both of the Maine native's legs and then tucks them under his arms before sitting right on top of the ladder, unexpectedly executing his trusty old finisher – the Xtreme Walls! But this time, it's with a touch of ladder. Even though the fans hate him, they have to cheer for this move, as even the youngest of children would mark out for the Xtreme Walls! Greg moans in absolute agony. He has felt many pains in his life, but very very few could ever come even remotely close to the pain he is experiencing now. Imagine the worst pain you've ever felt, now multiply that times a hundred. Well, Greg doesn't have to imagine, as not only is his back being sandwiched against the ladder, but his hurt right leg is being wrenched violently back, causing all sorts of hurt for the fighting competitor. Razor nearly lets out a laugh – reminiscence of the time when he was cooky and laughed a lot – at the sound of Greg screaming for dear life. Razor would love nothing more than to see his challenger tap out right now, even though it wouldn't mean anything, just for the message of embarrassment. Much to his disappointment, he learns that this challenger will never give up.

David Michaels: “That must hurt like no other pain, Cedar. I've been in this very hold and I know how much damage it does, and now it has a ladder to add on to the damage.”

Ted Cedar: “As if that damn move wasn't vicious enough as is.”

Samuel turns his groans of pain into yells of encouragement, almost in a snap. Greg fights past the damage in his leg. He fights past the sheer amount of agony all around his near broken body. And with a burst of power that came almost out of pure instinct, he thrusts both legs forward, sending the champ flying forward ridiculously fast, and face-first right into one of the standing ladders outside the ring. Razor is unfortunate enough to go directly face-first into the steel, busting up that little trickle even more, and causing a lot of blood to begin gushing out. He drops onto his side as Samuel tries his best to regroup, having used a great amount of energy in that thrust. Goodman panics and charges to his client, who at this point, just wants to lie down for a bit – as the pain is getting to him too. The challenger tries his best to fight against the pain, but it's much easier said than done. He manages to distance himself from the ladder that has done a lot of damage to him and he instead opts to roll by the steel steps and try to make his way to his feet. Razor is conscious – partly thanks to his demented manager – as he checks for blood on his face and finds exactly that. He tries to work his way up to his feet – once again, using Eric Goodman as a stable point. Once he is up on his feet, he slides into the ring and then lies down inside the ring for a little more. Greg is just about on his feet as well, as he grabs on to the commentators table. The challenger is up to his feet, and the first thing he notices is that demented manager that has cost him so much in this match. He grabs a hold of the unsuspecting Eric Goodman by the collar and pulls him near. A look of fright comes on the twisted little man's face as Greg begins to shout at him. Meanwhile, inside the ring, Razor completely ignores the shouts of his manager for help as he begins to ascend the ladder. Samuel quickly pushes Eric back, and as soon as he has enough space, he quickly throws his hurt right leg forward and catches Goodman as hard as he can with a Superkick – and that just about knocks the evil man right out. He then shakes off the ringing in his leg and refocuses his attention on his opponent.

Ted Cedar: “He shouldn't take his attention off his opponent, you should never do that – especially against someone like Razor Xtreme!”

David Michaels: “But I don't mind seeing Goodman knocked down a peg. That headbutt was just fan service to me!”

Ted Cedar: “You also have to see the psychopathic side of the world champ – not giving any form of a crap that his own manager was being beaten outside the ring, as long as he managed to get the upper hand!”

Greg rolls back into the ring and notices Razor slowly trying to ascend the ladder and he will not have it. He quickly clubs Razor – who is about halfway up, and then pulls him down by the tights, forcing him to drop down off the ladder and into the ring. The ladder is pushed forward almost as if by accident, leaving a big gap in the middle of the ring as the ladder stands a bit more near the ropes. Razor lands on his feet inside the ring and Greg quickly drives a big forearm into the face of Razor. The fans cheer. Razor fights back as he throws a big right hand. The fans boo. Samuel with a forearm. Cheer. Xtreme with a fist. Boo. The fight goes back and forth, until Razor quickly tries to sneak-attack Greg with his dangerous signature Roundhouse Kick, but Greg ducks under it and ends up behind Razor, he then tries to hit HIS signature move, the Sling Blade, but as soon as he jumps up to try it, Razor ducks under it and Greg is forced to spin in the air. As soon as Samuel lands on his feet, Razor catches him by tucking his left leg under Greg's arm and swinging his right leg wildly, decking the challenger in the face with a signature Step-Up Enzuguiri! “The Maine Attraction” falls right down and lands on his side before rolling onto his back, his body parallel to the ropes. The champ sees this as a perfect opening for one of his favorite signature moves... the Xtremesault! Razor quickly charges towards the ropes and leaps up, pressing both of his feet against the middle rope and then using the rebound to bounce backwards into a back-flip as he attempts his signature. However, Greg manages to somehow find the energy to roll out of the way, and Razor lands right on his belly, rolling onto his knees as he does. Samuel quickly throws a big left knee and catches Razor right on the forehead. Razor lands on his back as Samuel makes sure to not use his hurt right leg but instead his left. Greg then sees HIS opening for one of HIS favorite signature moves... the Lionsault! Almost as if by eerie coincidence, Greg is open to hit this! But he wants to add insult to injury. Instead of running to the ropes, he charges at the ladder which is off to the side. He jumps up, trying to keep most of his weight on his left leg as he does, and then does a full backflip, executing a perfect Lionsault, and nearly flattening the Rated Y2X Champion right in the middle of the ring!

David Michaels: “Finally that bastard knows how much that move hurts!”

Ted Cedar: “...and I imagine it hurt a lot more, since Greg jumped a bit higher up, courtesy of having a higher point to land – the ladder!”

For the first time in his career, Razor experiences the pain of being on the receiving end of a Lionsault, as the fans begin to chant “THIS IS AWESOME!” followed by claps. Razor turns on his side, holding on to his ribs in pure agony. Greg – on the other hand – isn't completely out of it and realizes that this is his chance to finally get the win. He drags the ladder towards the center of the ring once again and then begins to slowly climb up. The sharp pain in his leg prevents him from climbing too fast, but he is getting there, and Razor doesn't seem to be moving at all. The fans are going berserk with cheers, as this might just be it... Greg is near the top! But just as quick as those cheers came, the boos do too. Samuel wonders why the loving crowd is booing him... and then he realizes that they aren't. They're booing the monster walking down the ramp – Maddox Paine! Razor's ace of spades. The final trick up his sleeve. The Titan. Maddox works his way down the ramp, but instead of charging into the ring and digging into easy prey, he tends to his boss and friend first. He quickly drags Razor out of the ring, waking him up. He asks Razor if he's ok and checks on him to make sure he really is. The champ begins to recover as Greg looks on in confusion. He then raises a single arm and puts his hand on the gold, feeling it for the first time. He can grab it here and now... but then what? It's over just like that? A fighting competitor like Greg won't have that. He has one more trick up HIS sleeve. And he intends to use it, especially since this trick can neutralize both Razor and Maddox in one blow. Greg lets go of the title as he makes a choice he may just come to regret. He instead decides to go one more step up on the ladder, as he stands high on top of the ladder, facing two enemies that are wayyyy below him. Maddox is too busy tending to Razor to notice, but Razor notices. Greg doesn't give him time to react... he begins to jump.

Ted Cedar: “WHAT IS HE DOING? NO WAY! GRAB THE DAMN TITLE, GREG! DON'T DO THIS!”

David Michaels: “He's a fighter, Ted! This is what he does! He won't win this unless his opponent is out and he has proven he is truly the bigger man, let's just hope he doesn't come to regret this – OH MY GOD!”

Greg leaps forward and while he is in mid-air, he does a full backflip as he flies forward, setting up his perfect Shooting Star Press! He lands hard and this time he actually hits someone – just not the man he wanted to hit! Razor drags Maddox in the way and jumps out at the last second, forcing Maddox to take the full impact of the blow while he took none! Greg lands a bit roughly, but Maddox is almost like a pillow to him that cushions the blow and prevents him from taking nearly as much damage as he would if he missed. He moans in pain but then gets up to his feet, not having taken enough damage to ground him for good – but that might change in a bit. As soon as he gets up, he is whacked across the skull by Razor's right leg as Xtreme hits a beautifully ugly signature Roundhouse Kick! But before Greg can fall, Razor uses the groggy Greg to his advantage. He quickly pulls him in before he hits the floor and raises him high onto his shoulders before launching him overhead and driving a knee into Greg's championship aspirations... and his face, with a Razor's Edge – or as everyone else knows it by, the Go To Sleep! Greg instantly blacks out, the knee hits his face and takes him out for good. The fans are going berserk with boos as the broken champion chuckles and rolls into the ring. Unlike the challenger, he doesn't care about being the better man, he just wants to win! Razor looks up at the title high above his head as he begins to ascend to the top of the ladder – both figuratively and literally as he looks to reclaim his position as THE BEST. With every step he takes, he climbs higher and higher into his heaven. He is at the top. He looks around one more time at the faces of the hopeless fans that despise him so before he reaches up and unhooks HIS World Heavyweight Championship. It's over.

DING! DING! DING!

The bells ring, not only in everyone's heads, but throughout the arena. The match is over, and Razor has once again managed to find a way to hold on to that title.

Jennifer Light: “The winner of this match and STILL the XWA World Heavyweight Champion... Razor XTREEEEEME!”

[“Zero Visibility” by Rise Against plays throughout the arena]

Ted Cedar: “I can't believe what I just saw, Michaels. Greg had it in his hands! He had the damn title in his hands! All he had to do was pull it off and he would've been champion right now!”

David Michaels: “Well, he did what he felt he had to do... and he paid the price for it. Razor is once again getting closer to his position as the greatest competitor in XWA history. Unfortunately for all of us.”

Razor grabs the title with both hands as he sits high above the world. Everyone is below him, this is how he normally feels but now he actually gets to see himself high above these worthless insects. HE is the best. HE is the one with that title in his hands. HE is the one who is at the top. Fireworks begin to explode all around the arena, as the whole place gets drowned in boos. “We are not brave. We are not wise. We stand at the ends of the longest lines.” his theme booms throughout the arena as he continues to raise his title amidst the confetti falling on his head. Maddox rolls onto his side, and even though he is just about completely out of it, he shows the pride in his boss with a smile on his pained face. Goodman is on two knees as he uses the steel steps for balance, and he is beyond ecstatic for his client.

Ted Cedar: “Well, let's see how long Razor can truly stay at the top – as he has to go through one of the 6 men who will be in that dangerous Elimination Chamber!”

David Michaels: “Yeah, and I guarantee you that anyone who is tough enough to get through that chamber is going to be a damn powerful force to beat!”

Ted Cedar: “I have a feeling that Razor thinks he can take on just about anybody right about now!”

The fireworks continue to explode all around the place as Razor begins to shout “BEST IN THE WORLD” amidst the massive amounts of boos. Greg is finally awake outside the ring, having woken up by his own disappointment, and it isn't helped as he looks up and sees that evil, twisted, demented man holding the title high above him. Just a few seconds ago, he was high above that same man, and now only a little bit later he stands under him, defeated. He pounds his head against the floor outside as he can do nothing but hear the mocking theme music of the Rated Y2X champion.

Ted Cedar: “Well, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us for this great show, join us next time on Vendetta 114!”

David Michaels: “Don't you dare miss it! After what we've just witnessed tonight, it's going to be a great show!”

The show ends with one last visual of Razor sitting on top of the world. Title in his hands. As the show fades to black.
