As we previously reported, Ring of Honor announced this week the re-signing of Quinn “Moose” Ojinnaka.
According to The Wrestling Observer, both WWE and Global Force Wrestling attempted to recruit Moose, but he apparently turned down both offers.
Global Force Wrestling wanted to sign Moose and push the 31 year old as a major star in the company. But because GFW is not offering any talents full contracts until they acquire a TV deal, Moose decided to turn the offer down. Moose will, however work for GFW appearing a live events only and not TV tapings.
With regards to WWE, the company wanted to bring Moose in as a contestant on Tough Enough, as a male “ringer” on the show. The company would not guarantee that Moose would be offered a contract if he didn’t win Tough Enough, but said the possibility existed.
Moose will continue to work for ROH, and is also appearing in the Lucha Libre World Cup iPPV this Sunday in Mexico.
