Ever since Hulk Hogan returned to WWE last year, he’s campaigned for one more match at WrestleMania. He’s called out guys like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and John Cena, and while there have been rumors of a Hulk Hogan vs. John Cena match, it appears that WWE won’t allow Hogan to get back into the ring for one more match.

Hogan — who has had nearly a dozen back surgeries — still has a strong desire to have one last match. However, due to his physical issues, he cannot pass WWE’s physical that would allow him to get back into the ring. So Hogan is basically being forced to retire from in-ring action by WWE.

Earlier this month, there were rumors that WWE would have Hogan team up with John Cena at WrestleMania to take on Rusev and an unnamed tag-team partner, with the idea being that Cena would work most of the match, then tag Hogan in to run wild for a minute or two and get the win, which would — for the most part — hide all of Hogan’s physical issues and save him from looking bad.

Following Jerry “The King” Lawler’s heart attack immediately following a match in 2012, WWE has been very cautious about putting “old guys” in the ring and letting them work matches. Hogan — who is 61 — falls into that group. Even if Hogan’s cardiovascular health is phenomenal, WWE would still feel like they’re putting him at risk due to his back issues.

It’s likely that no matter how many times WWE turns him down, Hulk Hogan will be looking to have one last match in WWE. Several months ago, Hogan said that he not only wants one more match, but he wants one more run as the WWE Champion. It’s likely that Hogan said this just to grab a headline and bring attention to himself because the idea of Hogan being WWE Champion in 2015 is extremely far-fetched.

Although WWE won’t allow Hogan to get back into the ring, they still feel like he’s a valuable asset to their company as an ambassador, and — who knows — maybe they’ll even have him be in John Cena’s corner when he takes on Rusev for the United States Championship at WrestleMania. But one thing is for sure: Hulk Hogan’s wrestling days are officially over.

Hogan will always be my favorite, but this is what is best to do. Keep him away from wrestling again. He is stubborn and will always want to get back in the ring like all older wrestler do, but this is for his safety and keep a death from happening on live TV.

Yeah, WWE should 100% be on the cautious side with this. I don't think there's really too many people who want to see 61 year old Hulk Hogan wrestle anyway.
