Roman Reigns is built to be the WWE’s next mega-star. Reigns is the heir-apparent to Hulk Hogan, the Rock, and John Cena. Members of the WWE Universe may not like the fact at Reigns is in the process of being groomed that way, but it looks like Vince McMahon picked his next “guy,” which will enable him to grab that infamous brass ring McMahon always talks about.

Analyzing Reigns to the strictest factor, he has the parts to be gigantic. His in-ring skill needs improvement, as do his microphone skills. In fact, Reigns got some much-needed help from Howard Fine, Hollywood acting coach, to fine-tune his speaking and acting ability.

That being said, he still has a lot of work to do. Last week, Reigns’ recent promo about the Royal Rumble was sub-par. Not only that, but he forgot his lines in the middle of it. A mega-star in WWE cannot forget his lines. Cena receives a lot of flack for his promos, but he rarely trips up. Due to the fact that Reigns isn’t hitting home runs with every performance, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that his huge push might be put on the back-burner.

“WWE has had plans for Roman Reigns to win the 2015 Royal Rumble and go on to defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 31 but there is a lot of skepticism on whether or not Reigns is ready for a push that big.

That leaves Reigns and Dean Ambrose as the new top babyfaces. Ambrose is a better in-ring worker and delivers better promos but he fits less into WWE’s mold of what they want their top babyface star to be. While Ambrose and Reigns both do strong merchandise numbers, with Ambrose’s new hoodie being #1 during Thanksgiving, neither is doing numbers strong enough to be a top guy.”

Recently, Mick Foley talked about his experience with putting over Seth Rollins and Ambrose. Both men are stealing the show every night, while wrestling incredible matches each week. The toll each man is putting on their respective body is out of this world. While Reigns was out of action, Rollins and Ambrose stole his spot in the main event scene. The WWE Universe chanted for CM Punk, who isn’t even here, but not for Reigns.

That should tell the WWE that the crowd forgot about Reigns while he was on the shelf. On the other side of the argument, the pop that Reigns received at TLC and on Raw the next night were telling that he is a popular superstar. The Internet Wrestling Community is already sick of him, which is easy to figure out, judging by Twitter on a nightly basis.

Could Ambrose steal Reigns’ huge WWE push? That is very possible, as he is likely the top babyface in the WWE right now. Even though Reigns picked up a giant pop, Ambrose gets that warm reception every night. That leaves one big question for the next six weeks: Who will win the Royal Rumble if the WWE pulls the plug on Reigns?

If the match against Lesnar is his Batista/Triple H moment and that's all it is, I'm fine with it.

But if this is about making him "the guy" it's not going to go well.
