Greg Samuel vs. David Michaels Empty
PostSubject: Re: Greg Samuel vs. David Michaels   Greg Samuel vs. David Michaels EmptyThu Aug 22, 2013 3:30 pm

[OOC: Note to the grader. It may make a little more sense at times in this match if you were to read my promo beforehand, otherwise it could seem a tad random the actions etc.]

After a short commercial break, Vendetta is back as Greg Samuel is finishing making his entrance, with the crowd cheering the future of the company on. David Michaels stands in a corner of the ring, looking to have more of an attitude than usual. He interview before the break suggested he was a little more than just ticked off at losing last week. Ted Cedar tries to solve the mystery as to the apparent attitude change in The Showstealer.

Cedar:
"Welcome back to Vendetta ladies and gentlemen, as you see the arrival of Greg Samuel before we get this match kicked off here. But Adam, before the break we had an unique interview to say the least with David Michaels and he didn't seem to be his usual self..."

Dennis:
"No. I mean, he's still a jackass, but he seems to be more of one. I don't know what it is, but I think losing to Flare last week really opened up a sore wound."

Cedar:
"But what was he talking about taking this company back four years?"

Dennis:
"It means he's decided to be that annoying asshole that everyone hated back then. Honestly, I don't like the sounds of all this..."

Cedar:
"Well he told Samuel that tonight was nothing personal, merely just his business...and who was that mystery voice?"

Dennis:
"I don't know. The guy is clearly deranged...he is just a sore loser, if you ask me."

Cedar:
"Well, it appears we are all set for this bout."

DING...DING...DING!!!

As the ref points to the time keeper's area in dramatic fashion, the three clunks of the bell echo around the arena. Greg Samuel is waiting in the middle of the ring, ringing his arms out as he attempts to keep his body warm. Michaels, who has been leaning in the corner the whole time Samuel made his entrance, finally decides to make his way across the ring and stand directly in the face of The Maine Attraction. Michaels is slowly chewing his gum, with a cocky smile spread across his face. Samuel has his head tilted up a little, showing that he isn't intimidated by the highly decorated opponent. He is ever so slightly taller than The Showstealer, so intends to make the most of it, even if it is only by and inch. The two men begin to trash talk one another, as Michaels attitude changing dramatically over the course of a single week. The fans cheer on, loving this confrontation already - a first in the XWA!

Cedar:
"You can already cut the tension with a knife between these two. Michaels words earlier has already made this high stakes."

Dennis:
"Michaels clearly has an issue here tonight and he may take it on on Samuel...but he's no pushover."

The two men continue to jaw jack, with the onslaught mainly coming from the mouth of Michaels. Greg begins to smile watching and listening to his opponent telling him what is going to happen tonight. The ref attempts to break the two men up, which he eventually manages to do. As the two men as pushed apart, David Michaels spits his gum out in the face of Samuel. The crowd are shocked, as Michaels is at least respectful to his fellow competitor. Samuel's smile disappears in a flash and he leaps forwards, tackling Michaels down and the two men begin to brawl! The pair roll around on the mat, trading punches with one another, desperate to get the early advantage. The ref again tries to separate the two, but this time it just ain't happening. Eventually, the brawl roll out of the ring via under the bottom rope and thud down onto the floor. The thud hurts them both, but neither shows it as they both get back to their feet. Michaels charges at Greg this time, slamming him against the announce table, before laying in a couple of stiff Elbow shots to his face. David grabs Greg by his head and walks him over to the apron, forcing his face into the mat. But Greg holds onto the ring and blocks it, Elbowing Michaels in the gut and slamming his head into the ring apron instead. The Maine Attraction fans cheers, as Michaels exaggeratedly stumbles away, holding his face. Greg follows him around the ring, grabbing onto his head from behind, but Michaels quickly knees him in the gut before latching onto his head and tossing him into the ring post. Samuels slams into the post, not too hard, but hard enough for it to hurt as he drops down to one knee holding his right shoulder. The referee has been trying to convince these two to get back into the ring this whole time, but has since given up and merely started a count out, to which he is now at seven.

Cedar:
"Oh my...this one hasn't started out as I imagined at all, Adam."

Dennis:
"These two seem ready to kill one another...and I'm not sure they ever even been in the same camera shot on Vendetta before tonight!"

Michaels quickly rolls into the ring in order to break the count before rolling back out and walking over to the kneeling Samuel. Grabbing him by the hair, Michaels tosses Greg Samuel into the ring and follows him back in. Greg is on all fours, pushing himself back up. David Michaels drags him up and shoves him in the corner, delivering some closed fists to his gut. The ref warns The Showstealer to open the fists up, which is completely ignored. Michaels instead leans in on Greg and whips him across the ring. Greg shoots across and slams into the opposite turnbuckle hard, stumbling out. Michaels then charges in, leaping into the air. However Greg pops into life and grabs Michaels, looking to hit his Fatal Attraction. The crowd cheers thinking Greg might win this early, but Michaels quickly shakes his legs around and stumbles out of Greg's grip, walking back to the other side of the ring. He pulls his hair to the back of his head, looking at Greg with a little bit of shock, while Greg himself rings his right arm out smiling at David. The two men then wander back into the centre of the ring, both going for a Collar and Elbow Lock Up, but Michaels, desperate to get the advantage, knees The Maine Attraction in the gut for a second time and grabs hold of the right arm. He wrings it around, causing Greg to bend over a tad. Michaels then, using ultimate precision, drives his right elbow directly into the shoulder joint of Greg's right arm. Greg drops to one knee, holding the shoulder in pain. Michaels instantly then grabs the arm again while Greg is down, tying it up in a Key Lock putting pressure on the shoulder. Greg clenches his teeth in pain, before battling through up to his feet and forcing Michaels against the ropes. David shoots off, rebounding off the opposite set of ropes. Greg, half concerned with his shoulder. As he does so, he wanders into a charging David Michaels who Shoulder Blocks him to the mat. Michaels looks down at him for a brief moment, before shooting off the adjacent ropes. Greg rolls onto his stomach forcing Michaels to skip over him and run against the ropes once more. As he does so, Greg clambers to his feet and Hip Tosses Michaels down to the mat, down with great force. Michaels hurts his back a little, but scrambles to his feet as quickly as he can, but stupidly walks into a second Hip Toss from Greg Samuel. Michaels, feeling more pain by the Hip Toss, gets to a feet once again...and walks into the Hip Toss...once again! This time, Michaels stays down for longer. He does eventually get back up, but is pretty dizzy from being tossed in every direction. He stumbles over to the ropes and as he turns round, Greg Samuel sprints across the ring and Clotheslines him over the top and down to the mat! The fans of The Maine Attraction launch a resounding applause, as Greg starts to get some momentum going.

Cedar:
"And down goes Michaels! Samuel starting to build some momentum here, as he sends Michaels to the outside of the ring."

Dennis:
"Michaels didn't see that coming, that's for sure!"

Michaels takes a moment to get back up to his feet at the bottom of the ramp, as Greg catches his breath in the ring, tending to his shoulder but is evidently ready for action. The referee begins his usual ten count, as Michaels adjusts his tights and just stares at Greg. He walks over to the ring steps and tells the ref to get Samuel back, which he does. David then slowly climbs back into the ring, not taking his eyes off of Samuel. Playing a smart game, Michaels attempts to cool down his opponent's momentum, which works well as Samuel become a little impatient with Michaels and rushes in. David ducks underneath the wild Clothesline attempt and whacks Greg in the chest with a Knife Edge Chop, following it up with a stiff second. He then quickly grabs the head of Samuel and Snapmares him down to the mat. Before Samuel can recover, Michaels quickly kicks him square in the spine with his right boot. Samuel stiffens up entirely, as the crowd cringe from the echo travelling around the arena. Michaels smiles and then bounces off the ropes a few feet behind him and runs in at Samuel, looking to compress his spine with a Rolling Neck Snap, but Greg scouts the move and lenas back at the last second, lifting his legs up with him and flipping Michaels up and over himself with his legs! The Showstealer shoots across the ring and slams into the mat, his legs getting caught up on the ropes as he does. Michaels, rather comically, stubles back up to his feet once again not knowing what hit him. As he does, a recovering Greg Samuel starts to show his technical ability by grabbing Michaels round the waist and shooting him over in a beautiful Northern Lights Suplex, bridging over for the pin.

2...
Kick out!

Michaels shoots out of the cover, not knowing what hit him. Both men then get to their feet, only for Michaels to be picked up by Greg in a Side Slam position and drop down on his knee, with a Backbreaker. Michaels collapses to the floor in pain, holding his back while on his side, before Greg grabs him and pulls him making a lateral press.

1...
2...
Kick out!

Michaels, resilient as ever, refuses to stay down for the count. Greg looks at the ref, before getting back to his feet while Michaels rolls onto his stomach clutching at his back. Greg slowly bounces of the ropes and methodically walks back in towards his opponent, jumping into the air and dropping down with Knee Drops, directed into the spine of David. He yells out in pain, as Greg reaches down and picks him up.

Cedar:
"Well Greg has slowed down the pace here to his liking and is now targeting that back and you have to believe, Adam, he's got that Maine Cloverleaf in mind down the line."

Dennis:
"Oh fur sure. Locking that move in on it's own is a bad place to be in. Locking it in when your spine feels like it's going to explode, is a hundred times worse. Samuel knows what he's doing."

Greg then kicks Michaels in the gut, pulling him into a Front Facelock position. He pops his hips and lifts him into the air, aiming to hit a Vertical Suplex. But The Showstealer is having none of it and uses the momentum to land his feet behind Greg, before slamming him down with a Neckbreaker! The fans of David Michaels get to cheer for the first time in a while, as Greg is dropped to the mat. Michaels holds onto his back as he slowly gets back up to a vertical base. Greg does the same, only much quicker. Michaels goes back to the Knife Edge Chop well, delivering a few stinging ones to his chest, after which he grabs hold of The Maine Attractions' right arm and falls back, hitting a Single Arm DDT. Greg rebounds off the ring, holding his arm with a large degree of pain, while Michaels sits up with an unenviable amount of pain on his face. He looks to his right and sees he has bought himself a few moments of time to time and recover and begins to struggle back up to his feet. He then walks over to Greg and pulls out his injured right arm, dropping an Elbow onto it before locking his own arms around it in a key lock and pushing back in an Armbar variation, as he forces his own body upwards with his feet.

Cedar:
"And Michaels goes to the submission well, which is certainly not something he's known for doing."

Dennis:
"Well Michaels is no submission expert by any means and may not have the hold locked in as good as others would, but it's causing damage none the less."

Greg is in a lot of pain, but starts to attempt to get out of the hold. Knowing he's not going to win in a submission battle with a great athlete such as Greg Samuel, Michaels quickly gets out of the hold but maintains the grip of the arm. He then steps over the arm and flips to the back of Samuel, forcing him on his shoulder and pins him in the form of a La Magistral Cradle.

1...
2...
Kick out!

Greg pushes out of the pinning predicament and gets to his feet. Michaels does the same and quickly grabs him in a  Side Headlock. Michaels wrenches away at the head, actually pulling at Greg's short head of hair. The referee then tells Michaels to break the hold, who refuses to do so. The ref then begins the count, getting all the way to four before Michaels quickly lets go before slapping it right back on, rather comically, to which the fans actually laugh. The ref gives Michaels a stern look, who just replies back with "I LET GO, DIDN'T I?!". The ref can't really argue, as he did let go. Michaels smiles, before he finds himself being backed onto the ropes by Greg and shot off across the ring. Greg then leans over in the middle of the ring, awaiting the incoming Michaels for a Back Body Drop. But Michaels has this scouted and simply kicks Greg right in his injured right arm/shoulder area. The King of the Gannosuke Clutch isn't looking so King like at the moment, as he stumbles backwards towards the ropes. David Michaels' eyes suddenly widen, as he bounces off the ropes behind him and sprints across the ring. He flies through the air and Dropkicks Greg directly in the injured shoulder, sending him flying through the ropes and out of the ring to the floor below. Samuel falls the floor, unable to break his fall as the momentum from the insanely powerful Dropkick forces him to collide with the front of the announce table. Michaels slowly gets back up to his feet, his own back still hurting and decides to pose to the fans by raising his arms into the air. Due to the fact the match involves two fan favourites...and Michaels appears to be less friendly tonight, he's receiving a mixed bag from both sets of fans.

Cedar:
"An incredible Dropkick from Michaels, sending Greg all the way to right in front of us here."

Dennis:
"Looks like Davey Boy is starting to get the upper hand..."

Cedar:
"Well he could sense Samuel was starting to take contr...INCOMING!"

Dennis:
"WAIT!"

Two large thuds can be heard, as Cedar and Dennis rip off their headsets and leap for safety. Why? Because as Greg gets back to his feet and leans on the announce table, David Michaels decides to do what he does best - Steal the Show! He races across the ring and leaps through the middle and top ropes, flying directly into The Maine Attraction with a Suicide Dive which sends both men across and over the announce table! The fans go wild and leap to their feet, all uniting with a "HOLY SHIT!" chant at the top of their lungs! The headsets create more massive thuds, as the two men scramble around on the floor behind the announce table. The camera man gets closer to the action, revealing Greg appears to have landed on his right arm pretty badly while Michaels attempts to get to his feet, almost in a drunken state. The referee comes to the scene, telling both men to get back into the ring. He then heads back and climbs back into said ring, starting his count. Michaels has since got back to his feet and is angrily attempting to gets his legs free from a camera wire that he's managed to tangle himself in. As he does, the wire pulls the nearest camera man towards him, knocking the camera into Michaels face. The Showstealer is now really starting to show a bad attitude, as he shoves the camera man down on his rear, breaking the expensive camera in the process. The ref, who was counting the competitors out, quickly rushes out to the scene and gets in front of Michaels who is, by now, belittling the camera man on the floor. Michaels shoves the ref away too and walks around the announce table and back into the ring. The ref checks on Greg, who is starting to move around, before getting back into the ring and starting his count up. Adam and Ted have managed to get a hold of their headsets, but remain stood up as Greg is still recovering where they would usually sit.

Cedar:
"Is...this thing...damn it...is this thing on?!"

Dennis:
"WHAT?!"

Cedar:
"Is this working? I think we're good..."

Dennis:
"...WHAT?!"

Cedar:
"What the hell has gotten over Michaels?!"

Dennis:
"I've been telling you all along - the guy is a damn maniac! He taking everybody out, including damn camera men..."

As Vendetta's commentary team attempt to get their working area in some sort of working order. The referee is now up tot he count of five, with Greg Samuel barely on his feet. Meanwhile in the ring, Michaels continues the arrogant theme, as he lays on the top rope in the corner waiting for Greg to return, mocking him. The ref yells out the number six, as Greg finally clamber back up and pulls himself round the table, only to fall back down tripping on one of the wires Michaels made worse moments earlier. Some of the fans start to boo Michaels, who is acting as though he's got this under complete control, while the ref yells out seven. Greg forces himself to crawl across the floor, putting his hands on the ring apron as the ref reaches eight. Michaels, watching the whole time, suddenly comes down from his arrogant position and races across the ring, seeing that Greg has managed to pull himself up. But as he does, Greg quickly shoots his shoulder...his injured one...into the gut of Michaels through the ropes. Michaels stumbles back to the centre of the ring, losing his breath for a moment. Greg takes advantage and, injured arm/shoulder and all, springboards off the ropes and hits a recovering David Michaels with a Flying Crossbody Splash! Greg's fans cheers, as Greg reaches back with his left arm and hooks the outside leg.

1...
2....
Kick out!

Michaels pushes Greg off at the last second, not expecting the move. He quickly gets back to his feet. Greg does the same as David jumps into the air, wrapping his legs round his head going for a Hurricanrana. However, Samuel blocks the move mid way through, preventing Michaels from connecting. He leaves him hanging upside down, before letting go and allowing him to drop on his stomach. But as quick as you like, Samuel grabs hold of Michaels left and and places it on his own back, then pushing his left knee into it before he reaches over and grabs both legs and goes for his Maine Cloverleaf. His fans start to cheer, as he almost has the hold locked in. But David Michaels claws his way across the ring, grabbing onto the ropes and pulling himself out and away from danger.

Cedar:
"Michaels dodges the bullet there, as Greg went in for the kill."

Dennis:
"That would have been it for sure...and I don't think this headset is working properly..."

Cedar:
"Unfortunately it is."

Dennis:
"Ass..."

Michaels walks over to the ring steps, catching his breath, leaving Greg Samuel to climb out of the ring on the same side as his opponent and T him up. Greg then targets the back, looking to really do some damage, but as he runs in Michaels suddenly turns around and Drop-Toe-Holds him directly into the steel steps, causing a massive thud which sends the steps flying and damages Greg's arm/shoulder even more! The referee begins to lose his temper with them both and yells at Michaels to bring it inside. The Heartbreak Kid tells the ref to shut up as he gets up to his feet and grabs The Maine Attraction's injured right arm. He then slams it down on the bottom part of the ring steps, causing him to yell out in agony. Michaels grabs the arm again and does the exact same thing, only twice as hard this time. He then grabs the arm a third time and drags Samuel up to his feet, pushes him into the ring, not letting go of his arm. Forcing him to lay under the ropes, David lifts his arm up and then smashes it across the apron. Greg rolls into the ring fully in pain, as Michaels warns the ref to stop getting in his face as he gets back onto the apron.

Cedar:
"Michaels is on a complete assault here with that arm. If Greg has any feeling left in it, I'll be amazed."

Dennis:
"He certainly seems to have a more killer instinct in him this week..."

Michaels then climbs into the ring and pulls Samuel up. He then wraps his left arm over his head and holds onto the left leg. Michaels then pops his hips and nails Samuel with a Teardrop Suplex, square in the centre of the ring, quickly following it up with a Lateral Press.

1...
2.....
Shoulder up!

Michaels slaps his hands three times quickly at the ref, before getting back up to his feet. He then brings his opponent up to his feet again and sharply snaps off a Sccop Slam, dropping down into another Lateral Press.

1....
2.....
Shoulder up!

Michaels this time holds three fingers up at the ref, not entirely sure how that didn't get the three. Waves doesn't bother listening the ref's reasoning and gets back up again, bringing the seemingly helpless Greg with him. The Showstealer then gets his weakened opponent in a Front Face Lock and lifts him into the air in a Suplex position, before twisting round and dropping him down between his legs with a Falcon Arrow. This time, Michaels rolls over and hooks the far leg.

1.....
2......
Shoulder up!

For the third straight time, Greg Samuel shows true heart and gets his shoulder up from the pin! David Michaels kneels up and just stares at the ref, slowly shaking his head at him in frustration. He then gets to his feet, pulling his hair to the back of his head and adjusting the top of his tights. He looks around, as the fans give him that mixed reaction once more. He then looks at the corner and smiles, pointing towards it.

Cedar:
"Uh-ohhhh...this is where David Michaels is truly dangerous! He may be looking to go in for the kill here."

Dennis:
"Well he certainly has Greg in a prime position here..."

David climbs through the ropes and onto the ring apron, walking across it and then slowly climbs up onto the top turnbuckle. He has a bit of a hard time doing this, as his back is still killing him from Greg's onslaught earlier. This time taken trying to get to the top turnbuckle is all an injured Greg Samuel needs, as he gets to his feet as quick as he can and races across to the corner. He leaps up onto the top turnbuckle, grabs onto Michaels and shoots himself back, sending both men flying backwards across the ring and landing Michaels with an amazing Top Rope Belly-to-Belly Suplex! The crowd comes alive, as the two men hit the mat extremely hard and both injure their respective aching body parts.

Cedar:
"Belly-to-Belly Suplex from the top rope completely out of nowhere! Where on Earth did Greg get the strength for that from?!"

Dennis:
"Unbelievable! Just when you think he's down and out, Samuel comes back strong!"

Cedar:
"...and would you just listen to this crowd as a result!"

Dennis:
"They are hating both these men equally?"

Cedar:
"Of course not! They are torn between who the want to win!"

Dennis:
"Oh..."

The crowd are now in a massive tug of war between the two highly popular superstars, with one half chanting "LETS GO MICHAELS!" and the rest replying with "MAINE A-TTRAC-TION!" The atmosphere is truly electric right now, with neither man moving in the ring. The referee checks on both of them, both lying head-to-head on their backs in the centre of the ring. The ref then decides he has no choice but to start the count. The crowd join in with him, as this is now becoming really fun for them.

Cedar:
"Both men are battered and bruised, as this has been by far one of the more physical contests in recent memory."

Dennis:
"...and you have to believe, the first man up here is going to get the advantage in this contest. We're in the final quarter here..."

The referee is now at the count of four, as the crowd keeps getting louder and louder in their support for both men. As the ref yells out the number five, both men begin to stir a little, but nothing to the point to where they are about to spring back into action.

Cedar:
"Both men beginning to stir a little here. Like you said, Adam, this could be a race as to who gets up first."

Dennis:
"Well even so, it's also remains to be seen if that person can then take advantage."

The referee is now at seven, with Greg Samuel looking the closest to being on his feet. Michaels is now really struggling to get back up, as his spine is killing him. As the ref makes it to eight, Greg Samuels shows his fighting spirit by breaking the count and getting back to his feet. Michaels is still on one knee, which gives the immediate advantage to Greg. He sizes up Michaels, while still recovering at the same time. Once he gets back up to his feet, Greg stiffly kicks Michaels in the side. Michaels replies with a hard right fist to the skull. Greg stubles back, but comes back with a second kick to Michaels' side. The crowd are now playing a tug of war once again with the cheers and boos for both men, as Michaels clutches his side before hitting a harder right first to Greg. The Maine Attraction is considered one of the brightest stars of XWA's future and he proves it by just opening up like all hell broke loose with kicks, punches, chops and more kicks all over Michaels! The crowd cheer, as Samuel finds a second wind here in the match and Michaels is looking ever so likely to fall here. Eventually, Greg stops and Michaels comically stands there about to fall. Greg, however, doesn't let him and instead hits a European Uppercut. David stumbles back and bounces off the ropes, no idea where he is. As he wanders back in, Greg Samuel clutches him round the waist with both hands, picks him up and slams him to the mat via a Spinebuster, causing more damage to Michaels' back. Samuel quickly rolls into the cover, hooking the far leg.

1......
2.......
Shoulder up!

Michaels' fans cheers, as he somehow gets the shoulder up. Greg sits up, looking a little frustrated, but doesn't let it get to him. He slowly gets to his feet and begins to stalk his opponent, ready to hit a killing blow once and for all in this match. He waits, patiently, for the former XWA World Heavyweight Champion to get back up to his feet knowing it could only take one more blow to end this wonderful contest. He struggles, badly, back up to his feet. He then stumbles around, looking down and out here. Greg then goes for his chance, wrapping his arm around front of the neck of David Michaels looking for his Fatal Attraction finisher. But then, just as he lifts him into the air, Michaels breaks free nearly falling down the the mat. Greg turns round, shocked, and as he does...WHAM! Sweet...Chin...Music! The crowd explodes as David Michaels nearly kicks the head off of the XWA Superstar from Kingfield, Maine! Both men collapse to the mat, Greg with more force than his opponent and both are out of it.

Cedar:
"Sweet Chin Music! Sweet Chin Music! Where the heck did that come from?!"

Dennis:
"I think I saw a tooth fly!"

The crowd are starting to lose energy from going back and forth with one another, as the twists and turns in this match just keep on coming! Greg Samuel is laying face up with his arms and legs spread out, completely out cold, while David Michaels is laying face down next to him trying to crawl over. Inch by inch, Michaels slowly gets across and when he finally does, he lays his almost lifeless right arm over his opponent's chest.

1........................
2..............................
SHOULDER UP!

Cedar:
"WHAT?! SAMUEL GOT THE SHOULDER UP!!!"

Dennis:
"How in the hell is he doing this?!"

Cedar:
"This is unbelievable!"

Samuel's left arm shoots into the air at the very last possible second. His fans go bananas, as Michaels rolls onto his back and looks up at the ref, almost in tears that this match somehow isn't over! He sits up, as the fans now begin a unanimous "THIS IS AWESOME!" chant. He pulls his sweaty hair to behind his head once more before putting his hands on his knees. He looks at the fans and shakes his head, wondering how that didn't get the win. He adjusts his left knee pad, which has slipped down his leg a little, before making his way back up to his feet. He struggles over to the corner, using it as support for his aching back. After a quick breather, he holds onto the top rope to his left and raises his right foot into the air, slamming it down on the canvas with force - this one should have more packed behind it! The crowd all begin to join in with the rhythmic stomps, even the fans of Samuel, whom is now slowly starting to come around albeit dazed and confused. Michaels stomps his foot faster and faster, creating this almost tribal noise around the Phillips Arena here in Atlanta, Georgia! Michaels motions for his opponent to get up quicker, who is struggling with that motion as it is. Eventually, after almost a minute of stomping. Greg Samuel turns around and The Showstealer pulls the trigger, side stepping in and sending his right boot with a one way ticket to chin city...but as the camera flashes all shoot off to capture the image of boot on jaw, they are left disappointed, for Greg Samuel somehow manages to catch Michaels' right foot in mid motion. Hooking the right leg under this left arm, Greg quickly sweeps the upright left leg of Michaels, dropping him to the floor. He then, in super fast time, flips him over with a Half Boston Crab like manoeuvre and then grabs his left arm and pins it against his own back. He then shoves his knee into the arm, trapping it between Greg's knee and his own back, before taking the remaining waving left leg of Michaels and forcing it under his right one, locking in a technically perfect Cloverleaf Arm Lock, known as the Maine Cloverleaf but with the arm locked in for extra pain!

Cedar:
"And once again, just like that, when one man is in control the other reverses the whole situation...Greg Samuel has that Maine Cloverleaf locked in and I can't see anyway whatsoever for Michaels to break free here!"

Dennis:
"That is just a technically sound move. Not only has he got him soundly in the middle of the ring, Greg actually has three of Michaels limbs trapped within the hold. Good luck getting out of that, Sexy Boy..."

Greg's fans, who were only silent moments earlier in the acceptance of defeat, are now cheering with all their might as he has the Maine Cloverleaf locked in to damn near perfection. Greg pulls back on the hold as much as he can, driving his knee into his arm and back as much as his energy levels will allow. Michaels screams out in pain, simply unable to move around in any form other than waving his free right arm around in desperation! There is just simply no way for Michaels to get out of this hold - nearly all his limbs are in the hold, his back is killing him and he can't move to even try to get free. The fans try to help him by starting an "HBK! HBK! HBK!" chant, but it's no match for the cheers of "TAP! TAP! TAP!" from the Samuel fans. Michaels wriggles around as much as he can, just trying to do something. He pulls down with his legs, making Greg move just a little bit. However, even though it doesn't remotely break the hold, it's enough for him to get his left arm free from Greg's knee. Now Michaels has two arms free and the hold is turned into an ordinary Texas Cloverleaf. Michaels now begins to slowly attempt to crawl to the ropes, using his upper body strength. The camera man gets a great zoomed in shot of his face just wrenching in terrific pain, as he reaches out to try and grab the ropes. Michaels manages to get a few inches away from them and as he goes to grab it, Greg Samuel walks forwards still in the hold and sits back down meaning that David Michaels is now back where he started - in the middle of the ring. The life suddenly rushes from The Showstealer's body, looking as though he's going to suffer a second defeat in a row here in the XWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament. The referee asks if he wants to give up, but Michaels doesn't give a reply. He's looking done. Greg yells out "TAP! TAP!" many times at the top of his lungs, determined to not lose three times in a row. But then, the fans attention turns completely away from the ring and to the entrance way.

Cedar:
"Michaels is looking done he...wait a minute...who the hell is that?!"

Dennis:
"I don't know, but where the hell is my camera? Hotness, come on down to Daddy!"

Cedar:
"Well the action still goes on in the ring, but this woman is now making her way down the entrance ramp towards the ring..."

Cedar then finally recognises just who the woman is. It takes the fans far less longer to realise, as this is an unmistakable to creature. The blonde haired bombshell has her luscious locks flowing down the side of her leather zipped top, while she sways her perfectly seized hips from side to side showing off even more leather with her tremendously low skirt. As she gets to the ring, the woman takes off her sunglasses and a sexy and seductive smile on her face. She then climbs up onto the ring apron and grabs the attention of Greg Samuel.

Cedar:
"That's Nova!"

Dennis:
"Nova?! She's more beautiful in real life..."

Cedar:
"What the hell is she doing?!"

Dennis:
"Whatever the hell wan-OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!"

Cedar:
"OH MY!"

Dennis:
"DAMMIT CAMERA!!!"

The whole arena goes into overdrive as yes, it is indeed the former valet for David Michaels, "The Wildcat" Nova. As for why the commentary team is freaking out? Well, Nova has since climbed up onto the ring apron and unzipped her leather top, throwing it away behind her and doing the exact same with her skirt a second later...revealing one of the most revealing slingshot bikinis in the history of the XWA! While this is happening, the ref, who was initially telling her to get off the apron, has now gone into a trance looking at Novas'...uh-hummm...chest region. While this is happening, David Michaels begins to tap like a drum man as his back is about to snap. However, a few moments later, Greg's attention is completely taken by Nova. He isn't sure what to do! He then lets go of the hold he had Michaels in and wanders over to Nova, who is flaunting everything she has and flaunting it damn well! Greg looks at the ref, who is still in a trance. He looks back at Nova and is just gob smacked, stunned at the site before him! All the male members of the paying audience can't take enough pictures as their wives and girlfriends fight with them to take the camera away. Greg then snaps out of it and becomes rather serious, walking a foot closer to the ropes where Nova stands. But then, Nova suddenly spits out water into the face of The Maine Attraction. Greg's natural reflexes cause him to react more than he probably should and spins around attempting to avoid it and initially thinking it's something more damaging for his eyes. However, as he does and suddenly realises it is just water, he walks directly into a hurting, but recovering, David Michaels who connects with the second Sweet Chin Music of the match! The ref looks on, not sure what to do and is even more confused with the scantly dressed Nova blows him........a kiss and drops down off the apron. Michaels then drops down and hooks the far leg of the lifeless Greg Samuel. The ref isn't sure what to do, until Michaels yells "COUNT DAMMIT!" at him, to which he promptly drops down and counts.

DING...DING...DING!!!

Watts:
"Here is your winner...The Showstealer...DAVIDDDDD MICHAELSSSSSSS!!!"

The bell rings to a mixed reaction from the crowd, many cheering but also booing the actions they just were witness to. Michaels shoves Greg's hooked leg back down to the mat and struggles back up to his feet. He flicks his hair to the back of his head and raises his arms up in victory, as the ref holds his left one up too.

Cedar:
"Seriously?! THAT contest is going to end like that?"

Dennis:
"What are you complaining about?"

Cedar:
"Oh, Nova suddenly shows up again after God knows how long, flashes her breasts and suddenly you don't have a problem with David Michaels?!"

Dennis:
"...your point?"

Cedar:
"Urgh...my point is that these two meet for the very first time and put on a terrific match, only for it to end like that. It's ridiculous..."

Dennis:
"We just saw the puppies unleashed...quit your yapping at look at them some more!"

Cedar:
"Why wasn't he disqualified?!"

Dennis:
"What the hell for? Winning?!"

Cedar:
"NOVA SPAT WATER IN GREG'S FACE, DAMMIT!"

Dennis:
"Oh really? Sorry, I missed that as I was too busy staring at her breasts LIKE EVERY OTHER MAN IN THIS ARENA CEDAR YOU IDIOT!"

Michaels then looks down at the fallen Greg Samuel and kneels down next to him. The ref makes sure nothing happens, but Michaels just looks at him, with his head cocked and says "Just business...my business." He then gets back up and turns around, pointing and smiling at Nova who is stood with her hands on her hips on the ring apron, her sunglasses back on. The triumphant Michaels then walks over to the ropes and climbs through, taking off his wrist band come gloves in the process. He hugs Nova and raises her hand in triumph. Once he does, he tosses his gloves at the camera in front of him and begins to yell down it "I TOLD YOU! DEVOLUTION BEGINS TONIGHT! WELCOME TO THE PAST! JUST BUSINESS...MY BUSINESS! THREE...DAMN...POINTS! NEXT WEEK, WORLD TITLE TOURNAMENT CHANGES FOR GOOD! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!"

Cedar:
"Well, I think Michaels' seems pretty clear on his message here tonight..."

Dennis:
"Well finally he's decided to man up and do things for himself...still think he's a jackass, but this the attitude he needed for a long time."

Cedar:
"Well, I don't necessarily agree with his actions, but Michaels did warn us....he gets the victory and the three points to go with it."

As David Michaels and Nova wander off back up the ramp, the fans are left with one last image of the beautiful, sexy and hypnotic Nova, before we are taken backstage to the locker room of Hitman Alex, who also appears to be sharing an attitude change as of late...
