Mark Storey vs. Dominik Diveraz Empty
PostSubject: Re: Mark Storey vs. Dominik Diveraz   Mark Storey vs. Dominik Diveraz EmptyTue Aug 20, 2013 12:04 am

Up next is a battle between a returnee and a man whom gained a hell of a lot of momentum last week. Mark Storey takes on Dominik Diveraz; in a Street Fight. Mark hasn't exactly made a big name for himself in the Xtreme Wrestling Association. He only appeared briefly in 2011. However, he's made a huge name elsewhere, most notably RIW and 2WWF where he's had a combined total of six World Championship reigns. He's even a 2WWF League of Legends inductee. To put it simply, he's kind of a big deal. On the other side of the ring, Dominik Diveraz is a fellow 2WWF League of Legends inductee and has gained a huge tag team win over Caleb Spires and Greg Samuel last week with his Cultural Experience partner Takumi Sanu. Dominik lost his Intercontinental Championship just one week after getting it and that led him into his match last week with fury. He managed to come out on top, almost by himself as he refused to tag Takumi into the match, fearing he had something to prove. Well, whatever that was, he proved it by defeating two of the top names in XWA today. He's also tied for second place in the XWA Points Tournament, with Evan Flare being the only person ahead of him. Will he become three points closer to the World Heavyweight Championship tonight or will Mark Storey live up to his legacy? One thing to note is that Dominik's partner, Takumi Sanu, will not be at ringside for his partner as it was decided earlier in the night.

Both men stare across the ring at one another. Being as this is a Street Fight, they aren't dressed in their wrestling attires, instead wearing something a bit more casual. Dominik sports faded black jeans, white hi-top sneakers and a white tank top that tightly wraps around his torso. Storey, on the other hand, has light blue jeans, white and red Adidas sneakers and a white and red Mark Storey t-shirt. The two men stare across the ring at one another, ready for what should be one hell of a fight. XWA official Ryu Sanu talks to both men, asking if they are ready for this contest to begin, to which both superstars reply with a nod. Ryu calls for the bell to be rung and signals for the match to officially begin.

DING! DING! DING!

Dominik and Mark slowly begin to inch towards each other, ready to participate in the standard Collar-and-Elbow Tie-Up to start things off. However, things don't go quite that way as an arrogant smirk comes across Mark's face, before he turns around and walks away from his opponent; taking a moment to raise both hands into the air by the ropes, posing for his 'adoring' fans. Naturally, the fans reply to this showing of arrogance with jeers. These jeers soon turn to cheers like Jesus would turn water to wine, as Dominik rushes at Storey; sending both men over the top rope and to the outside with a Cactus Clothesline to the back of his head! Diveraz leaps back to his feet and yells out loudly, garnering a big response of cheers from the fans in attendance. He focuses all of his attention on Mark, whom is slowly getting back to his feet. Wasting no time, as Storey has reached one knee, Dominik drills into his chest with a sharp kick reminiscent of Daniel Bryan. He follows this up with a second and then a third. Following these are a fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh – too many to count. Let's just say a lot. Each kick comes harder than the last and leaves a bright red mark on Storey's chest. Diveraz finishes up this combination of kicks by attempt a Roundhouse Kick to the skull of his adversary, but he manages to duck under it just in time. Quickly, Mark hops back up to his feet and pushes Dominik backwards, causing him to stumble into the steel steps. With Diveraz preoccupied with trying to keep his balance, Storey darts towards him and leaps into the air, crashing into his smaller adversary and tumbling over to the other side of the steps with him. The fans boo as Mark has taken the upper-hand.

Ted Cedar
"Well, we're already witnessing one hell of a fight right now!"

Adam Dennis
"That we are, Teddy. My money's on Storey, personally. I've worked with him before in 2WWF and this guy knows how to get it done."

Mark is the first to get back to his feet and he yanks Dominik up by his tank top before pulling him over to the commentary area. He goes to slam the small man's head into the commentary table, but Diveraz blocks it, proceeding to elbow Mark in the ribs and then following up by slamming his head into the table, much to the delight of the crowd. He continues to slam Storey's head into the table two more times before letting go of him. "The Natural" stumbles backwards, holding his head in pain. Diveraz, thinking quickly and acting even quicker, catches his opposition off guard as he quickly leaps into the air, jumping onto the commentary table and quickly off of it into a back flip, looking to land a surprise Moonsault to Mark! Unfortunately for the miniature Mexican, Storey is able to catch him on his shoulder. He then proceeds to run at the steel post and sends Dominik flying off of his shoulder and head-first into the post! Some fans cringe at the sight of Diveraz's flesh meeting steel, but Mark isn't appearing remorseful in the slightest. Instead, he appears to be plotting something even more wicked in his head. He grabs Diveraz by the back of his tank top and drags him over to the commentary table, before ripping off the covering from it. He then proceeds to take one of the mini television monitors and holds it out in front of him, with a sick grin covering his face. The audience looks on in anticipation before Storey drops the monitor and punts it directly into the face of his adversary, with a hardcore-modified variation of his Exiled kick! Mark bites his bottom lip, as he feels severe pain in his foot after the maneuver, but he clearly knew the price he would be paying; shortly after turning the bottom lip biting into a smile. Fans boo heavily as Dominik lays, almost out cold, following the devastating maneuver.

Adam Dennis
"Holy hell, look at that! What a kick by Storey! This is what I'm talking about, Ted. The guy's a psychopath. He's willing to torture his opponent any way possible, even if it means inflicting pain on himself!"

Ted Cedar
"Well, he definitely inflicted pain on himself, but that pales in comparison to what he just did to Dominik! This one may be over early if this keeps up much longer."

Storey looks down at his opponent, the grin still seen wide on his face. He grabs his opposition by the back of his tank top and pants and proceeds to roll him into the ring. Instead of following directly, Mark decides it's time to put the stipulation of this match to good use. He lifts the ring skirt and searches under it for something to cause damage with. He pulls out two steel chairs and tosses them into the ring. After that, he finds a table and slides that into the ring, much to the delight of the audience. Their response to that is nothing compared to the next item he finds; a trash can full of light tubes. He slides the light tubes under the bottom rope and then tosses the trash can in. Finally, he pulls out a kendo stick and slides into the ring with it. In the ring, Dominik is nearing his feet, a tiny trickle of blood appearing on his head from the Exiled Punt. Being too focused with trying to get back to his feet fully, as well as the blood on his forehead, Dominik doesn't notice Storey coming at him and the North Ireland-native smacks the kendo stick hard against his abdomen! Dominik lets out a scream of pain and drops to his knees, before Mark drills him with the kendo stick again; this time in the back. He gets behind Diveraz and holds the kendo stick around his throat, pulling him back to a footed base in the process. With the kendo stick pressed against the throat of Diveraz, Storey holding onto it from behind the small man, he leaps into the air, pressing his knees against the back of "The Mystic Midget" and pulling him backwards with a modified variation of his back stabber dubbed the GX! The audience boos as Diveraz gets torn apart and Mark goes for the cover. One! Two! Kickout!

Ted Cedar
"Mark lands a very innovative version of his GX signature. It wasn't enough to put Dominik away, although I fear for him as he's already taken a great deal of damage in this match."

Adam Dennis
"Storey is a beast. Simple as that. He's a God damn beast."

Mark looks down at Dominik, saying lightly, "You don't quit easily, do you? Just lay down, kid. You're not winning this one." He then looks around the ring at all of the weapons he brought into it, contemplating what his next move should be. It seems his eyes have made their focus on the table that he slid into the ring. Not wasting a second, Storey begins to set the table up whilst Dominik desperately tries to make his way back to his feet, blood still dripping from his face. Once he's finished setting up the table, Mark puts his focus back on his tiny opponent. He grabs him by his head and tank top and pulls him onto the table. Mark points to the air, signaling for a high flying move. As such, as he begins ascending the nearest turnbuckle as the fans let out a mixed reaction. Some cheer for the potential of something big happening whilst others boo as they fear for Diveraz. Nevertheless, Storey eventually makes it to the top. He stands up erect, taking a moment to close his eyes and breathe in the reaction from the fans. This moment proves disastrous for him, however, as Dominik managed to slide off of the table and bounce off of the top rope, causing a vibration in the rope that makes Storey trip and land in a seated position painfully on the top turnbuckle! The fans are now firmly cheering as Dominik looks to capitalize. He takes a moment to wipe the blood from his face and massage his back, still feeling the effects of the Exiled Punt and the GX respectively. Once he's ready, he climbs up the turnbuckle until he reaches the very top, standing with his crotch in Mark's face. "Para Mexicooooo!" shouts Diveraz, before leaping into the air and attempt a top rope Hurricanrana that he likes to call the Dragón Torcido! Showing a surprising amount of strength, however, Mark manages to catch his opponent! He quickly stands up on the middle turnbuckle and wraps his legs around the arms of his upside-down adversary before leaping forward off of the turnbuckle, looking to land a diving variation of his Styles Clash dubbed the Beautiful Letdown; Storey and Diveraz flying and crashing through the table!

Ted Cedar
"Beautiful Letdown! Beautiful Letdown through the table! This is it!"

Mark isn't quick to go for the pin, as he managed to hurt himself quite a bit with that fall as well. Nevertheless, he's eventually able to roll Dominik onto his back, atop the broken pile of table chunks, and get the cover. One! Two! Thre—Kickout at the last millisecond! The audience erupts in cheers as Dominik manages to kick out of a huge maneuver. Storey's grin is beginning to fade away, starting to get fed up with his opponent's resiliency. "What did I, say? Huh?!" he shouts, shoving at Dominik, "Stay. The. Fuck. Down." Storey follows this up by slamming Dominik's head into the broken wood and canvas. He proceeds to drag his opponent off of the wood, Ryu kicking it out of the ring to avoid any further mess with ti, and Storey sets up his opposition near the turnbuckle, laid out on the canvas. He grabs one of the two steel chairs that was brought in earlier and scales the turnbuckle again, perhaps looking to try what he was originally go for again; this time with a steel chair for added effect. Upon reaching the top, Mark raises the chair into the air and the audience jeers heavily. He leaps off the turnbuckle, holding onto the chair with both hands as he extends his arms and legs back and forth, going for his signature Inflix Frog Splash! Dominik, just in time, lifts both feet up and Storey crashes, the steel chair being kicked into his mid-section! He immediately drops the steel chair and bounces off of the canvas, flopping about in pain as his arms are pressed firmly against his mid-section whilst the audience cheers vigorously.

Ted Cedar
"Huge reversal by Dominik Diveraz! Just when it looked like Mark was about to put this thing away, the Spanish superstar makes a comeback."

Adam Dennis
"I wouldn't call it a comeback, Ted. It was a great reversal, don't get me wrong, but I think Dominik is just going off of instincts at this point. Both men are down."

Both men are down indeed, as Ryu has no choice but to wait for someone to get back to their feet, there being no countouts in this type of match. The audience continues to cheer loudly as they realize the momentum may very well have been shifted. Slowly but surely, both men begin getting back to a vertical base. After a short period of time, it's Dominik who makes it back up first with Storey following shortly after. The two lock eyes and Diveraz showcases a fire burning deep inside him as he rushes at his opponent. Mark quickly drops down and rolls out of the ring, before the newly-rejuvenated Diveraz has a chance to get his hands on him. The audience jeers Mark's cowardly ways, as Dominik looks on, wiping a bit of blood off of his face in the process. Mark turns to the booing crowd and shouts out, "Quit your bitching! I'll kick his arse when I'm damn well ready!" He goes to turn back to the ring and the audience lights up with cheers at what's coming his direction; Dominik somersaulting over the top rope and flying into his opponent, straddling his arms around his neck and taking him down with a beautifully-performed modification of his Dragonrana dubbed the Impacto! "This Is Awe-Some" *Clap Clap Clap-Clap-Clap* repeats throughout the arena following the huge risk of a maneuver that paid off to perfection for Diveraz.

Ted Cedar
"Can I call it a comeback now, partner?"

Adam Dennis
"Shut up, Ted."

Naturally, Dominik is the first to his feet, though his entire body is hurting so he wasn't very quick to get there. The small man from Mexico pulls his opposition back to a vertical base and latches onto his wrist, before whipping him viciously into the steel steps! Storey drops to his knees due to fatigue as he was running and went elbow-first into the steps. He turns his back so that he's seated, leaning back against the steps, in an attempt to catch his breath and heal a bit. This doesn't happen, however. Instead, all he gets is Dominik running directly towards him, leaping into the air and landing a very low Busaiku Knee Kick; sandwiching Mark's head between his knee and the steps! Some members of the audience cringe at the sight of this, though the majority cheer wildly as Dominik has taken full control and is dishing out heavy payback for the stuff Mark said earlier in the night. "MexiMelt" drags his almost unconscious opponent towards the announcer's table. He then proceeds to take the mini television monitor that was still on it off, the other one and the protective top having been ripped off by Mark earlier in this contest. With big things on his mind, Diveraz drags his opponent onto the table and lays him back-first on it. He then heads over to the ring, climbing onto the apron and latching onto the top rope. Looking back to make sure Storey is still laid out, Dominik follows this up by leaping into the air, springboarding off of the very top rope and attempting a huge Moonsault! That turns out to be all it is, however; an attempt. Storey managed to roll out of the way just in time and Diveraz crashes into the table! Unlike the table they went through earlier, this one didn't break on impact; proving to be even harder and much more painful to land on.

Ted Cedar
"Huge springboard Moonsault by Dominik fails to connect! Are you okay, Adam?"

Adam Dennis
"Yeah, I'm fine. Glad our table didn't break. Sucks to be Dominik right now, though."

Both men are down and out for the time being, it seems. The fans have a seriously mixed reaction going on, some trying to will Dominik back to his feet whilst others are upset that Storey managed to make it out of the way of the Moonsault. Nevertheless, the two men slowly begin to stir. Inch by inch, they get back to their feet, Dominik pressing his right arm against his mid-section due to the pain he feels in it and Mark stumbling a bit from dizziness. Eventually, Mark reaches his feet first and Storey grabs Dominik by the wrist and goes for an Irish Whip to send Dominik into the security barricade. Unfortunately for the man from North Ireland, Dominik doesn't crash into the barricade, instead being able to stop himself before he hits it. This doesn't stop the legendary superstar, however, as he rushes at his opponent, looking to land a huge Spear! Diveraz leap frogs directly over his adversary at the last possible moment and Mark crashes into the barricade, busting it down! Fans in attendance cheer wildly as Mark breaks the security barricade with his own body by accident.

Ted Cedar
"Mark goes through the security barricade! Dominik moved out of the way just in time and Mark goes through the security barricade!"

Adam Dennis
"I'll tell you what, Ted. That Dominik is an agile little guy, that's for damn sure. What a match so far."

Dominik wastes little time in going after Storey, dragging him to the ring and sliding him in. He enters in after him and immediately goes for the cover, looking for the huge win. One! Two! Thr—Kickout at two and a half! He looks up at the official with frustration in his face. "¿Qué demonios? Esto debería ser mayor," he says, exhausted. With Mark momentarily down, Diveraz decides to take a moment to regain his composure and catch his breath, whilst thinking about what he should do next. He comes up with a plan and begins to set it into motion. He takes the two steel chairs that were tossed into the ring earlier by Storey, including the one that was dented with the Frog Splash reversal, and sets them up facing each other. He then takes the four light tubes that are in the ring and lays them across the steel chairs. Ready for something devastating, Dominik sees Mark making it to a vertical base and quickly grabs a hold of him and applies a Front Chancery, setting up for a Suplex onto the elevated light tubes! Sensing the danger he's in, perhaps off of instincts alone, Mark blocks the Suplex attempt. Diveraz tries again and it is blocked a second time, followed by a third. Quickly, he punches away at Dominik's mid-section, eventually being able to free himself from the smaller man's grasp. He then transitions behind Diveraz and applies a Waist Lock. In one quick motion, he pulls Dominik backwards and sends the Cultural Experience member flipping through the air, crashing stomach-first through the light tubes! "Holy Shit!" chants repeat throughout the arena as Dominik lays, a broken mess in the light tubes. Storey rolls him over and goes for the cover. One! Two! Thre—Kickout just in the nick of time!

Ted Cedar
"Can you believe that, partner? Dominik just kicked out of a huge German Suplex through the light tubes!"

Adam Dennis
"I honestly can't believe he kicked out. That was sickening!"

Mark slams his fists off of the canvas in anger before shooting a dirty look at Ryu. "That had to be three! Can you do your bloody job right?!" he yells, with Ryu just backing away from him to avoid further confrontation. Storey, still visibly upset, decides it's time to end this thing once and for all. He drags Dominik into the center of the ring, rolling him onto his back and grabbing his legs. He proceeds wrap his arms around the ankles of his opponents, flip Dominik onto his stomach and press his knee against the back of Diveraz's head, applying a submission hold he likes to call the Pain++; the Liontamer! The audience lets out a loud reaction; some booing as Dominik may be close to tapping and others cheering as a way to will Dominik out of this. What can he do, though? Even if he were to somehow make it to the bottom rope, there's no rope breaks in this match. It's also highly unlikely he'll be able to maneuver his way out of this submission hold with all of the damage he's taken so far. This may very well be it for the Mexican wrestler. Suddenly, a chant begins throughout the arena. Thousands of fans are standing on their feet chanting the same word; "Dom-I-Nick!" Dominik's arm begins shaking with momentum as he looks for a way out of this hold. Suddenly, something catches his eyes. Dominik begins to reach for this aforementioned thing, extending his arm out as far as physically possible and successfully grabbing it! Diveraz then swings this item, the kendo stick earlier used by Mark, backwards and cracking his opponent in the back of the head with it, causing him to release the hold! The audience cheers as Mark drops and Dominik holds his legs in pain.

Adam Dennis
"How the hell did he survive that?!"

Ted Cedar
"Dominik has one of the toughest hearts in the business and he's proving it here tonight!"

Once again in this contest, both men are down. They begin to get up quicker than they had earlier, however, perhaps running on adrenaline. Mark reaches his feet first, holding the back of his head in pain, as Dominik reaches a perpendicular base shortly after, shaking off the cobwebs in his legs. The two men stumble closer to each other and the first shot is fired; a punch from Storey that gathers a resounding "BOO" from the fans. This is followed up with a punch from Diveraz, garnering a "YAY" from those same fans. The two slowly exchange shot after shot, each one picking up the same crowd reaction. Diveraz gains the upperhand, landing consecutive shot after consecutive shot, before trying to follow up with a Clothesline, but Mark manages to duck under it. Mark quickly spins his Spanish foe around and goes for the leaping Diamond Cutter he likes to call the MAS, his finishing maneuver! Acting quickly, Dominik pushes Mark away, freeing himself from the danger. He quickly picks up a steel chair by his side as Mark spins back around, looking to capitalize. He doesn't get any time to capitalize, however, as Dominik tosses the chair at him. Mark catches it, but it was just a distraction. Dominik leaps into the air, grabbing Mark by both shoulders and pressing his knees against the steel chair which is pressed up against Storey's chest. He then proceeds to fall backwards, landing his own finisher, the front Lungblower dubbed the Matanza! The entire arena erupts into cheers as both men are down. Slowly, but surely, Dominik crawls onto Mark and makes the cover. Fans all across the crowd count along with the official; One! Two! Three!

DING! DING! DING!

Ted Cedar
"He did it! Dominik wins the Street Fight!"

Adam Dennis
"Well I'll be go to hell."

Ted Cedar
"…What?"

Adam Dennis
"It's an Uncharted reference."

"Instinct" by Tha Mexakinz hits the PA System as Dominik is helped back to his feet by Ryu, whom proceeds to raise his hand in victory.

Laura Watts
"Here is your winner, by pinfall, Dominik Diveraz!"

"Si! Si! Si!" Dominik shouts repeatedly, eventually getting the crowd to chant it along with him. Nothing like ripping Daniel Bryan off, eh? Regardless, the little man celebrates in the ring as his music plays, whilst Storey lays on the canvas, covering his pain-filled chest. The show fades to a commercial break.
