DING DING DING!

The bell rings, as the action gets underway with Robert Hope and DC Hennig in the ring. These two men have not met before tonight, and with their mismatch of style, it should be interesting to see how they will fare against each other. On the aprons, Michaels and Hitman exchange cold stares between them, with their big match coming soon and still a lot of bad blood between them. At this point, the two legal men in the ring are all that stops them tearing lumps out of each other. Over the past few weeks, they have been tirelessly jockeying for position, leading in to their big championship showdown at the Pay Per View, and tonight may be the night that it all comes to a head. In the ring, Hope looks at DC Hennig with disgust, the unmistakably magnetic charisma and fun-loving personality of Hennig repelling Hope like an opposite pole.

|Crowd| “Let’s go DC! *clap clap clapclapclap* Let’s go DC! *clap clap clapclapclap*”

The chants cut through Hope like they were a hot knife through butter, making him visibly repulsed. As Hennig stops to listen and encourage the chanting masses, Hope takes his chance to launch himself at his opponent, getting ready to fling a shot or two at him. Hennig is on the ball, though, ducking down and picking Hope’s right leg, tripping him onto the mat. Mr. Phenomenal pours over Hope’s back and clamps a quick Headlock on to him while he is on the mat, immediately taking control of the match. Hennig and Hope work their way to their feet, still in the throws of the Headlock, competing in a little power struggle in the hold. When both men manage to get to their feet, Hennig uses his superior leverage to pop Hope up and over his hip, bringing him down to the mat with a Side Headlock Takedown, pleasing the crowd no end. Right now, the maniac Hope is being contained by the technical prowess of his charismatic opponent and it is not sitting well with the man that calls himself The Prophet. He pushes against DC’s arm, trying to relieve the hold. He manages to get just enough wiggle room to relieve the pressure on his neck, then reach up to the head of DC with his legs and locks him into a Leg Scissors, clamping down on the neck of his opponent. DC doesn’t stay in his position for long, as he kips up and releases himself from the hold. Hope scrambles to his feet to meet his adversary, but isn’t on them for long, as he is flipped over the shoulder of Mr. Phenomenal with a crisp Snapmare, causing him to land squarely on his buttocks. Hope finds himself a little winded, but just say manages to get to his feet to avoid a followup Sleeper Hold from Hennig. Robert snaps his head back to DC, the rage starting to build on his face, but suddenly finds himself on the receiving end of a Drop Toe Hold, scissoring his leg just as he attempts to approach Hennig. As Robert’s body collides with the mat, Hennig floats over him and spins around on top of him, trying to show Hope “Hey, you may be dangerous when you get brawling, but I can outwrestle you any day of the week.” That message seems to have resonated loud and clear with the crowd, who give a cheer of approval for the slick showing of showmanship from the very popular DC Hennig. The Robbinsville native hops to his feet and poses for the crowd, as Hope scuttles on to his knees, frustrated that DC is showing him up like this.

|Miles| “This is sickening. You’re here to wrestle, not showboat, Hennig! Stop being such a Goddamn show off, asshole.”

|Cedar| “Hey, he’s giving the people what they want. And right now, they want to see him school Robert Hope.”

|Miles| “Fuck the people, and fuck what they want. I want to have sex with numbers 1 to 50 of the Maxim Hot 100 simultaneously, but you don’t see a load of hot girls showboating for me, do you?”

Hope wipes his face with his taped hand, as he glances over to Hitman Alex. He just stands there, and gives a little shrug as if to question what Hope is going to do about it. Hope springs back to his feet, and begins to hurl abuse at DC, who is still sporting a large grin. Michaels, from the apron, begins to shout out words of encouragement to his running buddy, which does nothing but get under the skin of Hope, burrowing like a Botfly larvae. The unbalanced Prophet then charges DC, only to find his attempt at a Clothesline ducked, which causes him to continue with his momentum. Hope dashes to the ropes, looking to swing this error back in his favour, but as he returns, he finds himself having to duck under a majestic leapfrog from Hennig. Hope continues to the other side of the ring, which gives Hennig time to rolls to his back and await his opponent returning, hoping to catapult him with a Monkey Flip. Unfortunately for DC, Hope has just enough time to figure out his scheme, grabbing his feet and splitting his legs apart, then stomping hard onto his face. Hennig can’t quite figure out whether he wants to protect his groin or his head, but manages to get himself to his knees regardless. Just as he attempts to get to his feet, Hope charges in and tackles him to the floor like a rabid dog, and begins to assault him with swift right hands. Hitman Alex applauds Hope’s cunning, which is the polar opposite to the reaction that the fans and Michaels give. Hope pulls himself away from Hennig for a second, before raking the bottom of his boot across the nose of his fallen adversary. Mr. Phenomenal rolls on the mat, disorientated from the attack and the follow up dirty tactic from Hope, but squares up to fight anyway. He’ll get that fight quickly, as The Prophet rushes him and starts raining in hard Forearm Blows to the face and head of the young man from Minnesota. The referee warns Hope to let Hennig get to his feet, which initially falls on deaf ears, but after the ref begins to count, Robert relents and raises his hands above his head, as if he’s just been apprehended by the police.

|Cedar| “This is something we’re accustomed to seeing from Hope. This kind of ‘loose cannon’ attitude, where he just loses his composure...not that he had much to begin with. But that can only work so much before his aggressive arsenal is disarmed.”

The Prophet pushes the referee to the side, then forces DC’s head into the ropes. He hangs his head over the rope and pushes the back of DC’s head so it chokes him. The referee immediately starts to count Hope out, his illegal tactic being a blatant infringement of the rules of the match.

|Referee| “1! ... 2! ... 3! ... 4!”

The Prophet pushes himself away from DC again, looking over to Hitman Alex and giving a sly smile. Perhaps the only time he’s likely to show some sort of kinship with anyone is when he’s bending the rules, and this seems to be one of those moments. Hennig holds his throat and coughs in an attempt to clear his throat. The tight feeling across his windpipe somewhat overriding the pain from the strikes earlier. Before he can get up and away, Hope pushes his knee into his back, and pulls his hair to reveal his forehead, then beats down on Mr. Phenomenal with brutal strikes to the forehead. The Prophet presses DC’s chest hard into the ropes as he attacks him, which warrants another count from the referee.

|Referee| “1! ... 2! ... 3! ... 4!”

Once again, Hope releases his hold on Hennig, raising his hands above his head. The negativity from the crowd could almost drown a man, but Hope just lets it all flow through him, as if it’s powering him up. He looks at his opponent, who is now on the mat holding his head, and approaches him like a predatory animal. He hoists Hennig up to his feet, all the while looking into the eyes of his former rival, David Michaels, as if to prod him in an antagonising manner. He pulls Hennig to the corner of the ring and measures him for a stiff European Uppercut, snapping Hennig’s head back into the turnbuckle. DC slumps a little in the corner, immediately holding his jaw from the stiff shot. Hope then grabs a hold of his hair and clocks him with a hard Punch to the forehead, snapping DC’s head back once again. Hope seems t be pretty pleased with himself, as he drags Hennig out of the corner and to the centre of the ring, where he takes him down with a Neckbreaker in the centre of the ring, dropping Hennig to the mat. Hope floats over his downed opponent and covers him:

|Referee| “1! ... 2! ...”

DC’s shoulder shoots up from the mat before three, prompting the crowd to begin chanting for him in support. Just as that happens, Hope wraps his arm around the neck of Hennig and grounds him with a Headlock, clamping his arms as if they were pythons constricting around a rabbit. He rolls his shoulder into the hold, binding his hands together as he does to add more pressure on to the hold. DC’s arms flail around as he battles to try and relieve the pressure on his windpipe. Hope tries his best to slide his arm over the throat of Hennig for the illegal choke while the referee isn’t looking, but never seems to find a suitable window, as the referee watches him like a hawk. Michaels begins to rally the crowd, as DC looks to be having trouble getting the required leverage to escape the hold. It seems to work wonders, as DC manages to force himself up onto his knees, bringing his aggressor with him. As both men kneel on the mat, Hope tries to step right into the hold and punish DC, putting all of his weight behind him. After a struggle, both men are now on their feet, and DC’s free hand is shaking wildly, as he tries to draw the positive energy from the crowd. You would be forgiven for thinking that DC is grabbing chunks of it out of the air, as he balls up his free hand and fires it into the gut of Hope, trying his damndest to wind him and break the hold. Hennig swings in another. Then another. Then a third, which manages to break Hope’s binding grip. DC, quick as a cat, scoops Robert up for a big Belly to Back Suplex. Just as Hennig pushes Hope up to the apex, he feels his opponent escape his grasp and roll back out of the suplex. He can barely think to go back on the attack, as Hope grabs two fist-fulls of his hair and slams him mercilessly back into the mat. DC lands flush on his shoulders and the back of his head, and rolls onto his side, holding his head like it was about to explode. The trademark sleazy grin of The Prophet spreads across his face like it was a weeping wound. He cockily saunters over to Hennig and steps one foot on his face, before putting his weight on in and walking over him. The crowd venomously boo the distasteful and disrespectful display, but all that serves to do is make Hope’s smile grow three sizes. Much like The Grinch stole Christmas, Robert Hope steals a moment of recovery from Hennig by dropping a knee square onto the forehead, causing yet more pain for Mr. Phenomenal. Hennig rolls to the ropes and uses them to get back to his feet, as Hope stalks him slowly. He wriggles his fingers like they were 10 serpents slithering over to the head of Hennig, and sinks them into his scalp, before dragging him away from the ropes. His methodical approach seems to be his detriment, though, as Hennig fires off a hard Shoulder Barge into his gut, just as they both reach the middle of the ring. The air is pushed out of Hope’s lungs, and he releases his hold on Hennig. Mr. Phenomenal, though he is still dazed from the knee drop, will not give in to Hope’s wicked ways. He awaits his opponent to turn around, then levels him with a Charging Lariat, almost turning The Prophet inside out! Hope lands on the mat with a thunderous crash, but it isn’t long until he is rushing back up to his feet, and finding himself dropped again by another Charging Lariat. This one chips away at Hope a little more, as he stalls before getting back to his feet. Hennig looks out to his sea of supporters and gives an appreciative call to them.

|Cedar| “And here comes DC Hennig! Hope has had his fun, and now DC is going to pay him back for his dirty tactics.”

|Miles| “Oh yay! Now we get to watch this piece of shit showboat around the goddamn ring. Someone pinch me, I’m in a horrible fucking nightmare.”

Hennig waits for Hope to return to his wobbly base, then promptly picks him up and slams him with a Scoop Slam. The Prophet’s back collides with the mat with some force, and he arches his body into a bridge. Hennig runs and bounces off the ropes, returning to the chest of his opponent with a beautiful Elbow Drop, crushing the chest cavity. DC doesn’t stop there, though. While Hope is coughing and spluttering, Mr. Phenomenal is already on his feet and bounding to the ropes. This time, he returns and drops a beautiful Knee Drop, right to the head of Hope. The Prophet lets out a yelp of pain, covering his forehead and kicking his legs as he does. Hennig pushes him to the mat aggressively, and covers him:

|Referee| “1! … 2! …”

Hope kicks out at 2, letting out a few choice words for his opponent as he does. Hennig doesn’t contest the count at all, instead opting to grab a handful of The Prophet’s hair and drag him to his feet. With his fingers tangled in Hope’s putrid, greasy hair, Hennig points over to the corner where his tag team partner is standing. Taking the crowd’s loud cheers as approval, he drags Hope to the corner, looking to tag in his team mate. He makes a few steps forward, but suddenly finds resistance as Hope plants his feet into the mat, causing Hennig to turn back to him. The Prophet then reaches out to Hennig’s eyes and rakes them hard, causing intense pain for Mr. Phenomenal, who blurts out a pained groan. The referee warns Hope about that blatant breach of the rules, but Hope doesn’t listen, opting to pull Hennig into a DDT instead. DC’s head clatters with the canvas, and Hope is afforded some time to collect himself after another dirty deed.

|Cedar| “Every week, we see Hope pull this kind of thing, and every week he manages to get away with it. We’ve already had a myriad of complaints about his poison mist attacks, when is someone going to step in and stop his blatant disregard for the rules of this great sport?”

|Miles| *mocking Cedar* “Mer mer mer this great sport. Shut the hell up, tubbs. He’s not breaking any rules, he’s just stretching them. It’s at the referee’s discretion whether he disqualified Hope, so if anything, you should be giving him shit instead. For that matter, does this referee even speak English? Is he even here legally? Where are his papers?!”

Hope looks over to Hennig, who is lying face down on the mat holding his neck and trying to focus his eyesight from the cheap tactic used on him earlier. The Prophet reaches over to his long, blonde hair and grabs it. He tugs DC’s head aggressively, pulling him up to his feet and locking him into a Front Chancery. He squeezes Hennig’s neck and calls over to Hitman Alex, dragging his opponent with him. Alex tags Hope’s back and steps into the ring, measuring his opponent and then planting a hard kick right into the ribs, causing Hennig to drop to his knees. The World Heavyweight Champion stepping in the ring against the man that return recently to reunite with his long time friend, David Michaels. Alex continues the beatdown as he picks DC back up and drags him by his Blonde sweaty hair, towards the center of the ring. Alex makes sure he has DC positioned right in front of him, as he jumps up extending his legs out towards the head of Mr. Phenomenal, connecting with a Dropkick. Hennig drops down back to the mat as Alex rolls over and quickly crawls towards him to hook both of his legs. The referee drops down near the cover as he spots both of Hennig’s shoulders down.

|Referee| “1! ... 2! …”

But DC manages to kick out as he raises his shoulder off the mat. Alex, not being too happy about the kickout, stands back up as he walks towards DC’s partner, and his opponent at the Rev Wars Pay-Per-View, David. Alex begins to talk towards The Heartbreak Kid, exchanging some words, trying to get under his skin. David trying to remain calm, but he can’t help to wanna come in the ring and whoop some “Hitman Alex Ass”. David is seen coming inside the ring, as Alex starts to quickly backup and reach for the referee, pushing him towards David to tell him to get out, and the ref does exactly that. David is trying to explain to the referee that all he wants to do is kick Alex’s ass, but the referee is not allowing it as he’s not the legal man in the match. Meanwhile behind the referee’s back, Hope has made it inside the ring as he bends down to drag DC towards Alex’s and his corner as Hennig is sitting up leaning against the bottom turnbuckle. Hope looks backwards, towards the referee, to make sure that the referee isn’t looking, before he turns back to DC to unleash a combination of Stomp Kicks to the face and chest of XWA’s only Grand Slam Champion. Alex, looking towards Hope, making sure Hope is attacking DC and looking out for the referee to turn back. David realizes that he can’t make the referee turn around without listening to him, so he quickly steps back outside onto the apron, then proceeding to tell him to turn around and look at what’s happening inside the ring. By the time the referee has looked back inside the ring, Hope has managed to step back outside on the apron like nothing ever happened. The referee looks confused as he looks towards Alex, trying to subliminally question the World Champion about how DC went from the center of the ring to the corner, but the referee has no proof, so he lets the match continue.

|Miles| “This man right here, shows no mercy. He doesn’t let his opponent get one inch of breath back in their system as long as he’s in there.”

|Cedar| “One has to wonder, how long can DC Hennig last in that ring before he can’t take it anymore?”

Alex quickly walks towards his respective corner as he begins to connect with some kicks to the chest, trying to wear Hennig down. Alex bends down to pick Hennig back up, still having him lean against the corner. The referee looks towards Hope to make sure that he isn’t being sneaky, as Alex begins choking Hennig. The referee tells Alex to get off, but Alex doesn’t listen, so the referee has no choice but to begin his five count.

|Referee| “1! … 2! … 3! … 4!”

..but Alex lets go. Alex takes a few steps back away from DC as he looks towards the referee, giving him the evil eye, but the referee remains calm as he doesn’t let it get to him. Alex turns back to look towards DC, who he cannot stand at the moment. Alex, being the heel that he is, steps closer to DC to grab him by his throat with his left hand, and connects with a Slap across the face with his right hand. Alex quickly grabs DC by his hair, and drags him away from the corner to set him up in a Suplex position, only to connect with a Snap Suplex. DC’s back arches as it connects with the canvas. Alex, wasting little time, turns over to hook Hennig’s legs for another cover. The referee slides next to the cover and begins to count.

|Referee| “1! … 2! …

But yet again, DC showing fight left in him, kicks out by raising his shoulder off the canvas again. Alex, not showing any sign of happiness, gets back up as he grabs Hennig’s hair, making DC get back up along with him. The fans continue to show their hatred for both Hope and Alex, as their booes can be heard all over the arena. Alex, having Hennig standing up, Irish Whips him as hard as he can towards the corner where Hope is standing by, as Hennig’s back bounces off the corner to return to Alex, who quickly wraps his arms around Hennig’s waist to lift him up and over his shoulders, connecting with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex. DC flies across the ring, almost near his own corner, but not close enough. Alex gets back up as he looks over towards Hope, who is looking back right next to him, and Alex extend his arm out for a tag. Hope, enjoying inflicting pain towards guys he strongly hates, accepts Alex’s tag, and tags himself back in the match. The Prophet slowly measures Mr. Phenomenal and delivers a stiff kick to the ribs of Hennig, forcing the wind out of his opponent. Then, with surgeon like precision, Hope carefully pulls Hennig’s arm out and wrenches it hard against the shoulder joint. DC squirms in pain from the harsh jolt that has just shot through his body, but isn’t even given a second to register it, as Hope slams his arm into the mat, then drops his knee right into the armpit, causing uncomfortable sparks of pain to envelop the joint as Hope compresses the nerves and tendons in his shoulder. Hennig immediately retracts his arm and holds it into his body, trying to protect it from any further abuse. This only works for a short time, however, as Hope kicks Hennig in the shoulder and exposes the arm once more. Then, with much aggression, Robert drapes the arm over the bottom rope and uses it as an impromptu partner, stretching the arm and shoulder joint by pulling Hennig’s wrist as it lies under the rope. The referee, getting sick of warning the team of Hitman Alex and Robert Hope, immediately snaps at The Prophet for yet another illegal move.

|Referee| “Get him out of there, Hope! Come on! 1! 2! 3! 4!”

Defiant by nature, Hope waits for the very last moment before he releases DC’s arm and allows him to roll away, grasping it protectively. He takes a moment to clench the fist of his arm, trying to subdue the dull pain coursing through the limb. The Prophet carefully follows Hennig as he shuffles over to Michaels, attempting to tag him in after so much abuse. Michaels nervously awaits the tag, desperate to get in and offer relief for his partner, but finds himself frustrated, as Hope quickly closes down the attempt by leaping on to the back of DC with a Forearm Smash square between the shoulder blades. Hope then quickly drags the injured arm of Hennig away from his corner. Hennig whimpers in pain at the harsh movement, as Hope drags him back into No Mans Land. With his opponent still on the mat, The Prophet wrings Mr. Phenomenal’s arm with an Arm Wringer, before dropping to the mat and slamming it again. The pain is almost unbearable for DC right now, as he grits his teeth and pounds his foot off the mat in a mix of frustration and pain. Robert slowly gets back to his feet, and drags DC up by his hair with him. Hope then locks Hennig into a Hammer Lock, bringing the injured arm up behind Hennig’s back, and then throwing that shoulder hard into one of the steel posts. Michaels has just about had enough at this point, and calls over to the referee to do something about the rule bending tendencies of Hope. While the referee is distracted with Michaels, Hitman Alex swoops in and targets the injured arm, grabbing it and slamming it into the ring post while the referee’s back is turned, causing a horrendous thudding sound, and grotesque, groaning sound to emanate from the throat of DC. He rolls away from the corner, as the referee turns back to admonish Hope, unaware of the assault that Hitman Alex has just dealt out to Hennig.

|Cedar| “This is ridiculous! Now the champion is taking liberties with DC. What the hell is going on here?!”

Hope meekly nods at the referee, almost as if he’s mocking him, before shuffling over to Hennig and dropping down into the cover.

|Referee| “1! … 2! ...”

Hennig manages to get his injured shoulder off the mat, but not without causing himself considerable discomfort for doing so. Ie immediately goes back to holding his injured limb, in some futile attempt to stop it from hurting. Unfortunately, it isn’t long until Hope is back on the prowl, this time kicking DC’s arm from under him as he tries to get up. The crowd are absolutely beside themselves with hatred for the leader of The Hopeful, as he mockingly taunts Hennig by rolling his arm in a big circle and smiling at him. Hope then hooks Hennig’s head under his arm and pulls him slowly up to his feet again. He calls out for the Hope for the Future, signalling that he believed the match may be over. Just as he begins to turn DC around in the ¾ headlock position, DC manages to suddenly spin his way out of Hope’s grasp. Hope turns around, staggered by Hennig’s escape, and is promptly tagged with a swift Enzuigiri out of nowhere, causing the crowd to erupt! The Prophet staggers around on his feet a little while, before flopping forward onto his face, seemingly feeling the full effects of that quick kick from Hennig. Knowing that he isn’t out of the woods yet, DC fights through the pain in his arm and closes in on the mad Prophet. To ensure that Hope doesn’t stop him from making the tag, he leasures the groggy Prophet up for a Basement Dropkick, right to the ribs of Hope. Robert rolls away, the pain of his ribs almost being cracked occupying every thought in his now throbbing head. Mr. Phenomenal now looks over to Michaels, who is standing at the corner once again, reaching out for Hennig’s hand desperately. He crawls as fast as he can on one hand, but even that doesn’t appear to be good enough. Hope, somehow, has managed to shake off the Enzuigiri and the Basement Dropkick (likely not at full power, due to Hennig’s injuries) and pours himself over the back of his opponent, rolling him away from D-Volution’s corner. The crowd let out a collective groan of frustration that Hope managed to force himself over to Hennig to stop the tag, the tactics of the team of Alex and Robert being made abundantly clear. Isolation of DC Hennig from David Michaels. Up until now, the two conniving superstars have managed to do that perfectly, keeping Hennig as far from a tag as possible. Hope tries to shake off the kick to his head, but seems to be having trouble, which gives DC an extra opportunity to reach for the tag. Unfortunately, Robert grabs DC’s leg as he attempts another tag, and pulls him into the middle of the ring, he himself shuffling along on his behind. The Prophet groggily gets back to his feet, then kicks Hennig straight in the kidney, dropping him to the mat. From there, Hope wrenches his opponent up to his feet, and hooks his arm across the chest of Hennig in an Urinagi Suplex. Hope lifts and drops DC with great force, bouncing his back hard off the tough canvas, and causing Hennig to groan in pain as he arches his back. The Prophet glances over to Hitman Alex, who is carefully watching the action unfolding in the ring. He stalks DC attentively, already formulating some sort of scheme. For the time being, Hope pushes himself to his feet again, and decides to push Hennig’s face to the mat with his boot, showing the utmost disrespect to the supremely talented and decorated XWA superstar. Hope, not feeling too fresh from the match himself, knows that momentum is well and truly in the favour of him and his team mate tonight.

|Cedar| “This is ridiculous. Hope has no respect for a man who has done so much for the XWA, for these fans. He has no respect for anyone but himself and his cohorts.”

|Miles| “Respect? Really? This is competition, Teddy. If you get too wrapped up in ‘respect’, you find yourself having to respect someone’s boot in your face. This isn’t a knitting circle, and it sure as shit isn’t ‘Friendship Hour’ or whatever. This is wrestling.”

|Cedar| “No matter what happens in the ring, there should always be respect! Without it, where would we be?”

|Miles| “Do you actually listen to the horseshit that comes out of your mouth, Cedar? I don’t know whether to listen to you, or fix a bag to your face and use what you spew to fertilise my garden. Although, if you saw something in a bag fixed to your face, you’d probably try to eat--eugh, I just threw up in my mouth a bit...”

The Prophet lifts Hennig up to his feet once again, and pushes him to the ropes. On his return, Hope bends over in order to hit the Spinebuster, but finds himself being booted in the face from the still resilient Hennig. The Prophet falls backwards, landing on his behind and resting against the bottom rope. DC stands holding his arm, as he watches Hope’s head rock back and forth from the kick. Hennig dashes to Hope, who is struggling to get to his feet, and boots Hope in the head, causing it to snap back. Far removed from DC’s usual showman style, Hennig begins to wash his boot on the face of his tormentor. Eventually, Hennig lifts Hope up while he is on the other side of the ropes, until he is standing on the apron. Mr. Phenomenal looks to be setting up for the Rope Assisted Neckbreaker, when suddenly Hope drops down with his hands behind the head of Hennig, and drives his throat into the top rope. Hennig staggers back, holding his throat from the brutal connection with the rope, allowing Hope to stumble (and fall) back through the ropes and into the action again. He holds his head and shakes it, trying to clear the cobwebs from the boots to his head. After a short time, he sees Hennig slowly getting to his feet and, deciding that enough is enough, measures him for a Shining Wizard, the finisher of Kanimaniac. Hope watches DC carefully, and finally strikes. He wasn’t to know, however, that DC was just waiting for him to attack. As Hope approaches, Hennig springs up and collects him in his arms for a Spinebuster attempt. The momentum of Hope causes both men to stumble back a little bit, putting Hope just within tagging distance of Hitman Alex. The last second before Hope is slammed hard into the mat, his fingertips brush with Alex’s, and he manages to tag his partner in, unbeknownst to DC. Thinking that he is still the legal man, Hennig covers The Prophet, only to have it broken up by a big kick to the back from Hitman Alex, who is now the legal man, as Hope slowly rolls out to the apron, his back in considerable pain.

|Cedar| “What a spinebuster from DC Hennig! But what a shame that the dastardly Hope managed to tag his partner in to take control of the match!”

|Miles| “What amazing ring presence by Hope and our World Champion! Both of them knew Hope would be in trouble, and they planned for it excellently. You’d think that they’d been teaming up for years!”

Hitman Alex continues to stomp on DC’s back as DC continues to get beat down by the unique pairing of Hope and Mr. COA. Alex bends down to pick Hennig back up, only to Irish Whip him towards the ropes. DC bounces and returns to counter Alex’s move by connecting with a Charging Lariat, taking Alex to the canvas. Alex drops down, laying on his back, as DC drops to his knees. DC is looking to crawl towards David as Alex is down, but before DC knows it, Alex turns onto his stomach and manages to stretch his arms long enough to get a hold of Hennig’s foot. Alex starts to use his strength to pull him back closer to him, but DC is fighting back to crawl toward his partner. The fans on their feet as the Heartbreak Kid is impatient to get the tag, but Alex is getting in-between Hennig tagging in Michaels. Alex pulls Hennig towards the center of the ring, while holding onto the foot, as Alex begins to lift himself up, while holding onto Hennig’s leg. Alex is up on his knees, as he begins to lock in the Ankle Lock Submission hold. The fans are massively booing Alex as Hennig is trying to fight to get to the ropes, before he thinks about tapping out. Alex dropping bullets of sweat from his face, as the sweat drops are falling down his face as he is putting a lot of pressure on that submission hold. DC looking like he’s about to tap out, as he is shaking his head side to side repeatedly. The referee asks him if he wants to give up, but he keeps shaking his head. Hennig raises his hand up in the air, while the referee continues to ask him if he wants to tap out or not, but Michaels is tired of seeing his good ol’ pal get hurt any longer, so he makes his way inside the ring to kick Alex right in the face, making him let go of the submission hold. Robert Hope makes his way inside the ring as well, but by the time he’s coming inside, the referee is already working on getting Michaels back outside. Hope comes in and immediately begins to stomp on Hennig, but Michaels manages to run around the referee to get to Hope, as Michaels connect with a couple of jabs to the face, making Hope fall down to the ground. The referee has to enforce the rules, so he grabs Michaels and starts to push him away from Hope, while telling him to get back outside on the apron. While the referee is pulling Michaels back, Alex has rolled back up as he picks DC back up on his feet and throws him towards his own corner. Hope rolls back up and both Alex and Hope begin to team up on Hennig, trapping him in the corner and unleashing some jabs and hooks to the face of Michaels’ partner. The fans are booing as Michaels goes back to the apron outside, and the referee quickly runs towards Hope and Alex, trying to pull them off of Hennig.

|Cedar| “Look at this double team by The Prophet & The World Heavyweight Champion. ”

|Miles| “These guys working together as if they were alliances. ”

The referee pulling Hope off of Hennig, distracts both Hope and Alex, as it allows Hennig to counter back. Hennig fights back out of the corner by connecting with some punches to the face of Hope and the World Champion. Hennig is fighting for his life as he connect with an uppercut towards Hope, that sends him falling through the ropes, and onto the apron, rolling off the apron and landing on the floor outside. Hennig now turns his focus back on Alex, as the referee backs up, and allows both of the legal man to continue at it. Hennig continues to connect with some jabs to the face, as it’s making Alex walk backwards, trying to block Hennig’s strikes, but Hennig is a fighting machine right now. Hennig continues to connect with a Knife Edge Chop that can be heard from miles away as Alex lets out a roar. Alex sees the only chance he has, and connects with a Thumb-To-The Eye, stopping Hennig’s momentum. Alex takes a second to get some air as he gets closer to Hennig to Irish Whip him towards the ropes. Hennig runs to the ropes and bounces off to return with a Big Boot straight across the face of The World Champion. The crowd gets fired up as Alex gets knocked down and he quickly turns around on his stomach as he holds the back of his head with both of his hands. Hennig walks around towards the head area of Alex, as Hennig holds his Alex’s head and bridges over and lands right next to Alex, while still holding onto Alex’s head, connecting and applying Hennig’s submission finisher that he calls “Robbinsdale Vice”. The crowd are going nuts as Hennig has the submission locked in. Michaels sees that his partner has finally gained enough momentum, not only to fight back, but to connect with his finisher on the World Champion. Michaels goes inside the ring and runs towards Hope, connecting with a Clothesline, knocking him off the apron and towards the outside of the ring. The referee ignoring the fact Hennig has the submission locked in, and goes for Michaels who he’s trying to get out of the ring. While Michaels is fighting and arguing with the referee about the fact that he’s worry about getting him out, and not the submission hold being locked in by Hennig, Hope manages to get a Steel Chair from under the ring covers, and he slides it inside the ring as he rolls inside the ring himself. Alex is about to tap out, but Hope bends down to pick up the chair and he raises it up high only to drop it down onto the stomach of Hennig, making him break the cover. Hope quickly throws the chair out the ring, as the fans begin to boo loudly for Hope. Michaels sees the shot, as he gets even angrier, but the referee didn’t see it. Michaels finally listens to the referee and steps out onto the apron as Hope drags Alex’s body on top of Hennig as he quickly runs towards Michaels, connecting with an Elbow to the face, sending him flying off the apron to the outside. The referee sees the cover, but he sees Hope in the ring so he goes to get him out, as Hope tries to tell the referee to forget about him and worry about the cover inside. Hope listens to the ref as he steps outside onto the apron, allowing the referee to turn around and focus back on the cover. The referee slides and quickly begins to count for Alex’s cover.

|Referee| “1! … 2! ...”

But Hennig somehow someway manages to kick out, and the crowd goes nuts. Alex sits back up and drops his jaw at the fact that Hennig has kicked out after all of that. Even Hope’s jaw has dropped from standing on the apron, as they both cannot believe Hennig is still fighting to tag in his partner. Alex, still in shock, decides to focus back in the match as he picks himself back up and as he’s doing that, he’s also thinking of what to do next. Alex bends down to pick Hennig back up, as he drags him along with him towards Hope, who extends his arm out for a tag, and Alex tags Hope back in. Hope comes back in and Alex hands Hennig over to Hope, who strikes with a kick to the midsection, making Hennig drop down to his knees. Hope bends down to pick Hennig back up and he sets him leaning against his own corner, as Hope begins to connect with some Corner Spears, wearing down Hennig again. Hennig yelling as he feels the pain in his midsection, as Hope stops with the spears and picks Hennig off the corner to get behind him. Hope now getting behind Hennig as he begins to apply an Abdominal Stretch submission hold. The referee asking Hennig if he wants to tap out, but he screams no. Michaels starting to clap to have the crowd clap along with him to hype up Hennig, to cheer him on and show support, but Hope keeps putting more and more pressure on Hennig. Hope looks back towards his partner for the night, and whispers to Alex to hold his arm and pull it so he can apply twice as much pressure. Hope extends his arm backwards towards Alex, as Alex has a hold of it and pulls on it, to put more pressure on Hennig’s abdominal area. The referee is not seeing this as it’s happening behind Hope, and the referee is right in front of Hennig. The referee sees Michaels trying to come back inside the ring as he sees the dirty tactic of Hope & Alex, but the referee sees it as Michaels trying to get inside when he’s not supposed to. Hennig lets out a couple of roars as Alex pulls back Hope’s arm back, which is helping to put more pressure on Hennig and the submission hold. Michaels is trying to tell the referee to look behind Alex, but the referee is ignoring him.

|Cedar| “Hennig and Michaels came to find, but the teamwork of Hope and Alex is shining through right now.”

Alex lets go off Hope’s hand as the referee tries to check on Hope, but he doesn’t see anything illegal. Hope notices the referee not looking again, so he extends his arm towards Alex again and Alex continues to help Hope put more pressure on Hennig’s abdominals. The fans are booing as Michaels is trying to tell the referee to look, but the referee ignores him. The referee decides to check on his own, and he catches Hopes and Alex doing another illegal tactic. The referee tells Alex to let go, as he manages to separate Hope and Alex’s hands from one another, which allows Hennig that little distraction from the referee, to reverse the abdominal stretch into a Hip toss, sending Hope towards the canvas. The crowd cheers in joy as Hennig is still fighting back, but still hasn’t tagged in Michaels. Hennig drops to his knees, as Hope rolls over and starts to get up again. Hennig pushes himself up back onto his feet as he runs towards Hope and connects with a running Standing Enzuigiri Kick across Hope’s face. Hennig then rolls onto his knees and begins to crawl towards Michaels as Michaels gets excited as well as the crowd. Meanwhile, Alex decides to run inside the ring, but the referee sees it and stops him immediately. Hennig reaches Michaels and Michaels tags himself in as the crowd goes nuts. Michaels gets back inside the ring, as Alex tells the referee that Michaels is back in, and the referee quickly runs towards Michaels to send him out. Michaels trying to explain to the referee that he got tagged in, but the referee doesn’t believe it. The referee never seen the tag so therefore Hennig remains the legal man. Hennig manages to get back on his feet, but Alex quickly runs towards him and connects with a Clothesline that sends Hennig over the top rope and towards the outside, near the announce tables. Alex drops to the canvas and rolls to the outside towards Hennig, as he begins unleashing some jabs on the back of Hennig’s body, as Michaels drops off the apron and quickly runs towards Alex trying to help out his partner. The crowd goes crazy as Michaels is attacking Alex, but the referee rolls to the outside and tries to separate the two. Alex fights back Michaels as he connects with some jabs across the face. Alex manages to turn around to focus on Hennig to grab him by his hair and send him back inside the ring, but before he could go back inside the ring, Michaels stops him and continues his attack on him outside. The referee focused on separating both men, doesn’t pay attention on what’s going inside with the legal man. Hope is standing back up inside the ring as he sees Hennig being rolled over towards him. Hope bends down to pick Hennig back up, and Hope quickly grabs DC’s head in a headlock position as he turns himself and Hennig around, back-to-back, before dropping down and connecting with his finisher, which he calls “Hope For The Future” (Hangman’s Neckbreaker). The crowd see it and think this might be it, as they are standing on their feet. Hope turns himself around and begins to hook DC’s legs as he’s covering him. The referee separates both men as he’s trying to hold Alex back away from Michaels. Michaels sees Hope covering Hennig, so he quickly runs towards the apron. Michaels begins to climb the corner, as he makes it all the way to the top of the turnbuckle. Michaels without thinking twice about it, leaps and jumps connecting with an Elbow Drop onto Hope’s back, breaking off the cover.

|Cedar| “The referee can’t see it all, and I can’t blame him.”

|Miles| “There’s a pin going inside!”

|Cedar| “Michaels on top!!! *Screams* And an Elbow Drop! ”

|Miles| “The referee needs to do something about this!! NOW!!! ”

The fans are going nuts as Michaels rolls back up and quickly runs towards his corner to step outside the apron, trying to wait for Hennig to roll over and crawl towards him. Alex walks around the ring and gets onto his corner as the referee slides back inside the ring and sees both legal competitors down and out. Hope begins to turn onto his stomach as he begins to crawl towards Alex, but Hennig is actually turning on his stomach as well after Hope’s finisher, the fans are surprised how much Hennig has taken throughout the match and how bad he must feel, but he’s still fighting to get that tag. Hope crawls closer towards Alex, but he isn’t anywhere near him. Hennig continues to crawl slowly as ever, but at least he’s showing signs that he’s still in this match. Michaels getting fired up as he is slapping the top turnbuckle pad, screaming at Hennig to get up and tag him in. Michaels look towards the fans and want them to cheer for Hennig to get up, to show him support and help him wake up. Hennig crawls closer and closer, as he’s only a few inches away. Hope crawls closer as well as he gets closer as well. Hennig, without looking back, gives it all his energy as he jumps up and forward and his arm extends towards Michaels to finally connect with a tag. Hope crawls closer and tags in Alex as well. Both Alex and Michaels are now the legal man, and these two are going to go at it right before their championship match at Rev Wars. Both Alex and Davis get inside the ring as they both run towards each other, but Michaels ends up having the upper hand as he is well rested. Michaels connect with a running Clothesline, knocking Alex down to the mat. Alex quickly rolls back up as Michaels runs to the ropes and bounces off to return to Alex to connect with a Shoulder Block, knocking the World Champion down again. The crowd are going nuts in the arena as Michaels bend down to pick Alex back-up and Irish Whips him to the ropes, but Alex counters and sends Michaels instead. Michaels runs and bounces off as he returns towards Alex and connects with a Flying Forearm Smash, knocking Alex straight back against the mat. Michaels wasting no time, kips up, as it makes the fans chant even louder. Hope has gotten back up and as soon as Michaels kips up, Hope runs towards Michaels, but Michaels bend over and connects with a Back Body Drop, sending Hope over his shoulders and making him land on his back. Hope’s back bounces off the canvas that makes him roll over and get back up. Michaels runs towards Hope and connect with a Clothesline that sends him over the top rope and towards the outside near the announce tables. Alex rolls back up and tries to attack Michaels from behind, but Michaels sees it coming and connects with a Reverse Elbow to the face of The World Champion. Michaels tries to Irish Whip Alex again, but Alex counters it once again and sends Michaels instead. Michaels bounces and returns as Alex jumps up and tries to go for a Lou Thesz Press, but Michaels catches him and Spinebusters him down as Michaels quickly turns Alex over onto his stomach, as he turns around and begins to grab Alex’s leg to connect with his finisher move “Break a Leg” (Calf Killer). Michaels is applying the submission hold in the middle of the ring as Alex is screaming in pain. Alex is screaming and yelling trying to reach towards the ropes, but he is stuck. Michaels applying the submission even tighter as he continues to put more pressure on the leg and calfs of the World Champion. Hope manages to slide back inside the ring and connect with a Big Boot to the face of Michaels, breaking up the submission hold. Hope then grabs Michaels and he quickly sends him over the top rope towards the announce table as Hope drops down to the mat and rolls to the outside.

|Cedar| “And There’s Hope! Dammit! From behind! Saving The World Champion and The Match”

|Miles| “There’s no way Alex would have tapped out even if Hope would've broken that or not, and you know it.”

The fans are booing Hope as Hope is making his way towards the announce table and he quickly begins to take off the table cover and the television monitors, not giving a f**** about the rules. Ted and Joey both begin to get up from their seats as they begin to step back and watch the action from afar. Robert Hope picking David Michaels back up, he throws him towards the announce table, making his head bounce off the table, and making David drop to his knees. Meanwhile, back inside the ring, Alex is getting back up. While Alex is getting back up, DC Hennig as manage to get up and climb the top of the turnbuckle from one of the corners. As soon as Alex gets back up, he turns around and finds himself a flying Hennig who jumps off the top of the turnbuckle to connect with a High Impact Missile Dropkick, sending the World Champion straight back against the canvas. The crowd goes crazier than before as DC got some revenge back on Alex, while David and Hope are bringing back their rivalry as they are fighting on the outside. Hennig goes for the cover on Alex, as Alex is completely knocked out, but the referee is outside trying to break Hope and Michaels up. Hope is putting Michaels on top of the table as the referee is trying to pull both men away from each other, but he’s having a very difficult time. Hennig continues to cover Alex, waiting for the referee to slide back inside, but that doesn’t seem to be happening at all. Hope is trying to lift himself up on top of the announce table, but the referee is trying to push him back and away from Michaels. The referee stepping in is allowing Michaels to get off from the table and get back on his feet outside. Hope screams at the referee to get off of him so he can focus back on David, who goes for a kick to the gut, but Hope catches David’s foot. Michaels standing on one foot, as he jumps up and connects with a Leg Feed Enzuigiri knocking Hope down outside the ring. Hennig looks over his shoulder and sees the referee distracted with David and Hope. Hennig gets back up and walks towards the ropes that are by the referee as Hennig yells at him to come inside and count the cover. The referee tries to tell Hennig that he can’t keep up with everything, but by the time Hennig turns around, he finds a vicious HKO from Hitman Alex, who jumped up and grabbed Hennig by his head to connect with his finisher. The crowd are in shocked as Alex turns Hennig over and begins to cover him. The referee sees that Michaels is trying to get back up to get inside, so the referee figures that everything is fine outside. The referee turns to see Alex covering Hennig so he quickly slides under the bottom rope and inside the ring as he begins to count for the cover.

|Referee| “1! … 2! ...”

But Michaels manages to lift himself up in time to grab the referee’s foot and pull him right out of the ring, stopping him from connecting with his third count. Alex notices the referee being pulled out so he begins to get off Hennig, only to find Michaels sliding back inside the ring to whoop some ass. Alex runs towards Michaels, but Michaels catches him by connecting with a right hook, that sends Alex to one knee. Alex manages to lift himself back up from that one knee as the fans are cheering loudly for Michaels, as Michaels manages to Irish Whip Alex towards one of the corners. Michaels connect with some Knife Edge Chops to the chest of the champion right before connecting with a strong Irish Whip, sending Alex to the corner diagonally away from where he’s standing. Alex bounces off the corner and walks towards the center of the ring, as Michaels runs to the ropes and bounces back to jump up in the air and go for a Fameasser, but Alex manages to drop to his one knee, to knock Michaels’ balance off, and making him second guess going for that move. Alex rises back up as Michaels turns around to look towards him, but Alex has already begun to to extend his arm across Michael's chest, and trying to go for his finisher that he calls, “Snake Bite” (Rock Bottom), but Michaels counters as he connects with some elbow shots to the side of the face of the World Champion. Michaels manages to get out of it as he gets right behind Alex. Alex quickly turns around to regain momentum, but it’s a little too late as Michaels extend his foot out and connects with a STS (Shattered Teeth Sympothy/Sweet Chin Music) finisher, knocking Alex completely down and out. Hennig begins to get back up as Michaels quickly drops to his knees and hook Alex’s leg for a cover. The referee remains down outside from Michaels pulling him away from Alex’s cover on Hennig earlier, but Michaels has forgot. As soon as Michaels remember, Hope has already begun to slide back inside the ring, carrying Alex’s World Heavyweight Championship Belt. Michaels gets up and he sees Hope with the title as Hope rises up as well and quickly runs towards Michaels, trying to strike with it, but Michaels ducks and dodges it. Hope runs pass Michael, who ducks it, and strikes Hennig instead, knocking him down and out as he rolls under the bottom rope to the outside of the ring.

|Cedar| “Robert Hope has that damn World Title Belt”

|Miles| “That’s not even his, but I’m glad how he’s using it”

|Cedar| “And there goes Hennig, being taken out of this equation.”

|Miles| “I didn’t know we were doing math, Ted. Because the fact that the referee could still be out from an easy pull just doesn’t ADD up with me, if you know what I mean.”

Hope is a little shocked that he missed, as he looks at Hennig’s body rolling outside as he quickly turns around to focus on Michaels. Hope runs towards Michaels trying to swing with the title again, but Michaels once again ducks out of it, and gets behind Hope. Hope quickly turns around to face eye-to-eye with Michaels, but Michaels is already a step ahead. Michaels connects with a kick to the mid-section, making Hope drop the title. Michaels takes a few steps back before running towards Hope, jumping up high and trying to connect with a Heartbreaker (Codebreaker) but Hope counters and gets a hold of both Michael’s legs as he has Michaels lifted up high. Hope takes a few steps back towards the ropes as he uses his strength to throw Michaels over his shoulders onto the ropes, making Michaels bounce off the ropes and choke a little bit, as Michaels drops back to the canvas. With the referee still down, the crowd are booing the hell out of Hope, who is the only man standing up on his feet, but not for long. The fans reaction quickly change from booing to cheering as Danny Diamond is seen running down the ramp and sliding back inside the ring, stopping Hope from picking up the World Title again to use it on David. The crowd are on their feet as Danny connects with some jabs to the face of Hope, sending him backwards, leaning against the ropes. Danny backs up a little bit right before connecting with a Discus Lariat, taking Hope over the top rope towards the outside of the ring. Hope lands outside on the floor, but he quickly gets on all fours and crawls away from Danny as far as he can, wanting nothing to do with him tonight. Hope eventually gets up and he quickly jumps over the wall barricade, in which Danny makes his way outside the ring to run after him. Hope is running as fast as he can through the crowd to get away from Danny, as Danny chases him to the back. Hennig is knocked out, Hope is not part of the match anymore, and both legal man, David & Alex, are completely down. Alex begins to wake up and begins to rise up just a little bit, as he is sitting up. The fans chanting for Michaels to get back up, and he is trying as he is using the ropes that are right next to him to lift himself back up. Michaels is using the second ropes, and as soon as he manages to get a little up, he pulls and uses the top ropes to finally stand back up, having his back turned on Alex. Alex begins to push himself off the canvas to lift himself up, as Alex is starring Michaels down. Alex is finally back up, not being 100%, but he’s good enough to be standing on both feet, as he sees Michaels turning around and he quickly goes for a HKO, but Michaels pushes him right off of him. Pushing the World Champion forward, Michaels set up to go for another STS finisher (Shattered Teeth Sympathy/Sweet Chin Music), but as Alex turns back around, and Michaels strikes, Alex quickly ducks as well. Alex ducks down, scooping up the World Title laying on the mat in the process, as he gets back up. Michaels realizing he misses, he quickly turns around and finds Alex already swinging the title across his face, connecting with a Title Shot to the face. There’s no one to help Michaels, and the referee is slowly getting back up outside. Alex slides the title outside the ring as he drops to his knees and hooks Michaels legs. The referee is up and he slides himself inside the ring as he is taking his time. Alex is covering Michaels yelling at the referee to count already, but the referee has just got in the ring. The crowd on their feet booing because they seen Alex used the belt. The referee is not fully recovered, but he’s healed enough to count as he sees Michaels’s shoulders down.

[b]|Referee|
“1!”

|Cedar| “Not Like this DAMMIT!”

|Miles| “YES! C’mon Ref!”

|Referee| “2!”

|Cedar| “Everything that David has worked for in this match is being taken away from him with that illegal use of the title”

|Miles| “SHUT UP TED!!”

|Referee| “3!”

The referee signals the timekeeper to ring the bell, and he does. The match is over and the fans are not happy at all. Hitman Alex has pinned his challenger for his World Title, David Michaels, 6 days before their official World Title match and the crowd is not happy about it one bit. Alex is smiling as he lifts himself back up and looks down at Michaels, being laid out.

DING DING DING!

|Miles| “ALEX HAS DONE IT. ALEX AND HOPE HAVE WON!”
|Cedar| “That isn’t right! It shouldn’t have happened like that.”

Alex is being handed the title by the timekeeper, who picked it up from the outside, as Alex raises his World Title above him, showing that he is still World Champion, and sending Michaels a message before their championship bout.

ME | Robert Hope and Hitman Alex vs. D-Volution (Hennig and Michaels) Empty
PostSubject: Re: ME | Robert Hope and Hitman Alex vs. D-Volution (Hennig and Michaels)   ME | Robert Hope and Hitman Alex vs. D-Volution (Hennig and Michaels) EmptySun Jul 27, 2014 2:58 am

DING...DING...DING!!!

The bell sounds and the four men in this contest all stand in opposite corners, wary of the opposing team. Obviously David Michaels and DC Hennig are the more cooperative of the two and soon get distracted with a classic game of rock, paper, scissors in order to find out who shall start this contest. Hope and Hitman Alex, meanwhile...are not so friendly to one another and the World Heavyweight Champion soon finds himself taking a backseat to Robert Hope, who demands he starts this match up. He is the King of XWA afterall, right? Hitman isn’t best pleased by this, but shrugs his shoulders and climbs through the ropes, onto the apron. In the showdown of the century, it appears Hennig has lucked out and prevailed with paper over rock! Michaels thumps the top turnbuckle in fury, before tapping his buddy on the shoulder and also climbing out onto the apron.

Cedar:
"...and it looks as though Robert Hope and DC Hennig are going to be starting this match up, Joey. DC is an interesting part of this match up, here, as neither of his opponents are that familiar with him….at least over the past few years in the XWA anyway."

Miles:
"I’m sure Hitman Alex believes he is very familiar with DC Hennig, after the bastard betrayed him like that a couple of weeks ago! I hope Hitman Alex phenomenally kicks his phenomenal ass!"

Robert Hope is looking rather frisky, as he quickly circles the ring, with his tongue hanging out like a rabid dog. DC is quick to avoid it and wipes his hands on the side of his tights, before the two men halt and collide in the centre of the ring. Both lock in a Collar and Elbow Tie Up and tussle for position, like two bulls claiming their territory. Hope, being rather on beat tonight it seems, uses all his strength and hurls Mr. Phenomenal backwards to the floor. The crowd boos intently, as Hope looks across the ring at DC and slowly raises his arms either side, for he is the King! DC sits up and places his arms on his legs, looking back towards Robert Hope not really sure what he’s dealing with here. Michaels stands just behind DC, on the apron, with a serious expression on his face remembering not too long ago the hell he had to deal with due to Robert Hope. Hitman Alex, on the other hand, looks rather impressed and manages to have a little smile, knowing that he may have found the right partner here.

Cedar:
"You know, DC Hennig is a veteran wrestler, but I don’t think he fully understands what he’s dealing with in Robert Hope. Michaels’ life was made a living hell because of this man."

Miles:
"...and those were the greatest two months in XWA history, Cedar. I only wish Hope made them last far longer...maybe he can start making DC’s life hell, once he ruins Danny Diamond’s pathetic career! HAHA!"

DC gets back up to his feet and locks eyes with Hope once more, as the two men repeat what they just did and lock up in the centre of the ring. DC is quick to act this time and holds onto Hope’s left arm, pulling round and going under it, until he has it yanked upwards behind Hope in a Hammerlock. Hope grumbles out loud, as he looks around and taps his left shoulder with his free right arm. Hope then, showing he knows how to reverse submission holds and isn’t just a maniac, pushes backwards and slides under DC’s left arm, reversing the move entirely in his favour and now DC is the one in the Hammerlock. Hennig wants no part of the hold and is sharpish in pushes backwards and sending the two men, into the corner. Hennig manages to switch the two men around and is facing the corner, as he looks from left to right, his wet blonde locks waving as he does. The ref then quickly starts calling for the break, getting to a count of four before Hope actually breaks the hold. The ref gently pushes Hope away, whom has his hands held up in innocence. DC slowly starts to turn around in the corner, watching his back, knowing not to trust Hope...but Hope catches him out still anyway, as he pushes the ref aside and connects with a stiff boot to the gut. He is soon to follow it up with a stiff right hand, which knocks DC Hennig sizzy for a moment, before Hope latches onto DC’s left arm again and whips him across the ring. He hits the corner, hard, with his back and leans in. Hope then charges across and nails him with a Clothesline come Corner Splash, before grabbing his hair and tossing him out of the corner. DC rolls out, into the centre of the ring and turns around. Hope charges at him once again, but DC is quick to catch him and nails him with a Snap Powerslam, quickly hooking the far leg!

1…
Kickout!

Hope shoots out of the pinning predicament pretty quickly and scrambles to his feet. DC is fast enough to do the same and ducks a wild Clothesline attempt from a rabid Hope. Hope swings entirely around DC catches him around the wasit, locking his hands together behind his back and then popping those Phenomenal hips. He shoots Robert Hope over his head with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex, landing him squarely on his back. DC jumps back up, as the fans begins chanting “D-C!” over and over in celebration. Hope scrambles up to his feet and thinks about charging in once again, but DC goes to do the same...and Robert Hope decides he’s having none of it and back pedals, crawling under the bottom rope and out of the ring. The crowd boos with sheer temper, as Hope leans on the guardrail and motions with his hands that he wants nothing to do with DC. Hitman Alex climbs down off the apron and walks over to his volatile tag team partner, asking him to suck it up. Hope snaps at him, telling him to shut up and that he’s got this under control. Alex isn’t best pleased by this attitude and just shakes his head, walking back over to his corner.

Cedar:
"Hope wants nothing to do with DC Hennig when he’s on the back foot..."

Miles:
"Well duh! Would you want to start losing in a match, Cedar, you idiot?!"

The ref has since begun making his count in the ring and is now at the count of five. DC has since wandered over to his corner and Michaels is whispering sweet nothings in his ear...or maybe match strategy, who knows with these two. Hope yells at the ref to stop counting, as DC walks out of his corner, looking ready to continue this one. Nova claps her team on, on the outside of the ring, as Hope is now back in and is starring his opponent right in his eyes. Hope then runs in, like a mad man, looking to just flatten DC but the former XWA Champion ducks underneath it all and both men turn around. DC tattoos him with a stiff right fist, before following it up with a second to the jaw. Hope is then backed to the ropes and whipped across the ring. Hope rebounds back in and DC goes for a Dropkick, but Hope has it covered and side steps it, pushing DC’s legs away. As DC then slams face first into the canvas, Hope dives down and smashes the upper spine of DC with a pin pointed Elbow Drop. Hennig yells out in shock, as Hope gets to his knees and just starts clubbing his opponent in the back with crazy rights and lefts repeatedly. DC puts his hands over the back of his head, in order to cover them, before Hope rushes back to his feet and grabs him by his blonde hair. Hope then tosses him into an unoccupied corner and starts unleashing all hell once again, with more lefts and rights, as the ref begins to count him out. Hope then shoves the ref away at the count of four and argues with him to stop yelling random numbers at him, before turning back to DC and lifting his right foot into the air and sticking it in his throat. The ref is already starting to lose patience with Hope and counts to four once again, which enrages Robert as he removes his boot from DC’s windpipe and begins arguing with the ref, yet again.

Cedar:
"Hope being rather vicious here, annoyed that the ref would stop him from choking DC to death..."

Miles:
"...and rightfully so he should be annoyed. Jack Hammer is a jackass, always trying to interfere in people’s matches."

Cedar:
"Well he is the match official, Joey. It’s kind of his job..."

Miles:
"...and your point is?! He’s just a meddling old bastard...I’m onto him!"

Robert eventually comes to terms with his hatred for the match official, before turning his attention back to the leaning DC Hennig. Mr. Phenomenal is struggling to breath for a few moments, as Hope delicatly places his right hand under his chin and lifts up DC’s face...before slapping him straight across the face! The fans are shocked by this, despite it being from Robert Hope. The self-proclaimed King of XWA yell at DC that he is a nobody, before tattooing him with a stiff right hand. He then quickly grabs hold of DC’s head and starts dragging his face across the top rope, clenching his teeth together as he does. He forces him all the way over to his corner and then smashes his skull into the top turnbuckle...before a loud slap of skin is head, as Hitman Alex tags himself into the contest. Hope immediately stops what he is doing and gives his one-night partner a piercing stare. The confident XWA World Heavyweight Champion pretty much ignores Hope’s reaction and just focuses on DC Hennig, stomping away at the man that attacked him a couple of weeks ago. Hope moves his body round, in order to gain the attention of Hitman Alex who, after finishing his flurry of stomps, waves his partner away and tells him to get on the apron. Jack Hammer also informs Hope to get on the apron, which he unwillingly does, as Hitman Alex holds onto DC’s head and Snapmares him out of the corner. As Hennig rolls into a seated position, Hitman tees up his right leg and kicks him straight in the spine! DC’s entire body stiffens up from the pain. Hitman Alex then quickly runs past DC and hits the ropes, rulling back at full speed. He goes to kick DC in the face, this time, but the veteran former XWA Champion flips his upper body backwards and dodges the kick. DC then rolls onto his stomach before getting up to his feet. Alex turns around and DC just smacks him in the chest with a hard and brute Clothesline! The fans cheer, as Hitman falls to the mat. He is quick to get up, as DC shakes off the pain in his spine. DC then shuffles to his side and manages to get the incoming Hitman Alex in a Hip Toss, dumping him to the mat once more. Alex is a little slower back to his feet, but manages it regardless. DC leans in on him and whips him off the ropes. The World Champion rebounds back and before he can attempt to do anything, DC twists his arms around and spins Hitman Alex around in mid-air, smashing him on his right knee with a lovely Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker! once more, the fans cheer for DC, who appears to have found his footing in this match.

Cedar:
"DC! Hits the Backbreaker and looks to getting on top of this contest here, which pleases Nova."

Miles:
"I’d like to please Nova, if you know what I mean?!"

Cedar:
"Stop it!"

Miles:
"NO! I LOVE TITS!"

DC then wanders over to his tag team partner, David Michaels, and tags him in. A giant roar circulates the arena, as the former three time XWA World Heavyweight Champion climbs through the ropes and hops into the ring. Hitman Alex, as soon as he realises Michaels is in the match, gets back up to his feet and slaps Robert Hope on the back who was busy arguing with a fan in the front row wearing a Danny Diamond T-shirt. Hope looks around, puzzled at what just hit him, soon realising that it was his partner. Hitman Alex has since dropped to the mat and rolled out of the ring, looking at Michaels on the outside and shaking his head, not quite ready to face his opponent at Revolutionary Wars just yet. Michaels places his hands on his hips, really not liking Hitman Alex in recent weeks after getting attacked by him with a chair. However, it soon dawns on everyone in the arena, including to two men in question, that David Michaels and Robert Hope are now the legal men in this contest. Hope closes his eyes before smiling and slowly turning his head whilst still on the apron - he is delighted for this moment to arises once again, while Michaels isn’t sharing the same enthusiasm. Michaels pulls his hair to the back of his head, as a flood of memories come rushing back through his mind that he’s been attempting to repress for nearly a month now. Hope methodically, and somehow creepily, climbs through the ropes and into the ring still with that sinister smile on his face. Jack Hammer is very wary of these two, having been the ref in that now infamous Hell in a Cell match between the two. Both men slowly walk into the centre of the ring, with the whole arena now on the edge of their seat for this awesome moment. The moods of these two top XWA Superstars couldn’t be more contrasted, with Michaels raising his head naturally in a show of distaste, while Hope is STILL smiling. Hope cocks his head, attempting to get back into that arrogant head of Michaels. He isn’t falling for it this time and thrusts his arms out, shoving Hope back across the ring. Hope’s smile is now thoroughly gone. He then turns back around and launches himself at Michaels, taking him down to the mat with a wild Lou Thez style press. Hope unleashes all hell upon Michaels face, punching him with wild lefts and rights, before Michaels manages to flip it around and does the exact same back in return. Hope then rolls him over once more until the two fall out of the ring, thudding the floor. Hope quickly gets up to his feet and smacks Michaels in the back of the head, as he tries to get back up. He then holds onto his hair and twists him round, running over to the barricade, smashing Michaels face first into the top of the walling. Jack Hammer is now screaming on the inside of the ring for both men to get back in, as Hope stomps the living hell out of David Michaels! Hope, completely maniacal, screams in Michaels face at the top of his lungs and drags him back up, about to toss him into the ring. But Michaels instead charges forwards, grabs Hope round the waist, and drives him into the ring post.

Cedar:
"These two men might very well start up yet ANOTHER brawl here tonight, before it’s all set and done!"

Miles:
"God I hope so...HOPE PUN HOPE PUN...because Hope really kicked the living hell out of that moron."

While their thirst to inflict pain on one another could continue much longer, Michaels and Hope become cognizant of Jack Hammer's count, which has hit 7 as Michaels rolls Hope back into the ring. Michaels quickly slides into the ring as well, but not quick enough as Robert Hope unleashes another flurry of punches with the sole intention of battering Michaels' face beyond recognition. Michaels blocks the worst of the blows, but the spontaneous attack allows Hope the chance to get to his feet, and grab Michaels' arm to pull him onto his. Hope then whips Michaels towards the ropes, and "The Showstealer" rebounds off of them with major velocity. Hope draws his arm back and swings, looking to knock Michaels' head into the nosebleed seats, but Michaels ducks underneath and hits the ropes behind his opponent. "The Prophet" regains his composure after throwing such incredible momentum into the Lariat attempt, but does not recover quickly enough to avoid David Michaels' patented Fame Asser! Michaels drops the full force of his body weight onto the back of Hope's neck, the two men tumbling to the canvas with gravity paying no favors to Robert Hope. Michaels gets back to his feet and notices DC Hennig in the near corner with his hand outstretched. Michaels makes the tag, and Hennig steps into the ring, his eyes targeted on the recovering Hope. David Michaels inches towards his corner, but does not exit through the ropes just yet. Rather, he watches as DC Hennig sneaks behind Robert Hope, who at this point has just gotten back onto his feet, and lifts him into the air, about to drop him on the back of his head with a Belly-to-Back Suplex. But just as Hennig props Hope onto his shoulder and begins to fall backwards, David Michaels swoops in just in time to deliver what becomes a Belly-to-Back Suplex/Neckbreaker combo! After completing the maneuver, Hennig pops up, almost startled by the unexpected assistance from his tag team partner. Michaels and Hennig stand and stare at one another, both men wide-eyed with eyebrows raised, an expression that could be seen on the face of a child when the sound of an ice cream truck can be heard in the vicinity. After a couple of seconds, Hennig smirks confidently and gives a subtle nod to his tag team partner, who reciprocates with a nod of his own. Michaels quickly steps through the ropes, and Hennig almost immediately tags him back in, giving more of a high-five than a tag. The XWA Universe watches with anticipation, as they can clearly see the gears turning in the heads of Michaels and Hennig.

Cedar:
"Michaels and Hennig showing absolutely zero signs of ring rust together. you’d never believe they haven’t teamed together in over two years, Joey."

Miles:
"If only it stayed that way, Ted. If only it stayed that way..."

Robert Hope holds the back of his neck, positioned in the center of the ring on one knee. Certainly, the idea of tagging in Hitman Alex could very well be floating in the mind of Hope, but if it is, he makes no effort to act on such a thought. Alex stands on the apron glaring at his tag partner, but his attention soon turns to David Michaels who, along with DC Hennig, both step up behind Robert Hope. Hennig tucks his head under Hope's left arm, while Michaels tucks his under Hope's right arm, all three men facing the same direction. Michaels and Hennig then lift Hope up off his feet, as if they were about to perform another belly-to-back suplex; but rather, in a much more unorthodox manner, Hennig and Michaels both propel Hope forwards and launch him face first into the mat below with a stunning Double Belly-to-Back Wheelbarrow Facebuster! The sound of Robert Hope colliding into the canvas is almost like a trigger to the live audience, who roar in excitement just as soon as Hope's facial features are reconstructed by the inflexible mat. Hennig wanders back to his corner as Robert Hope begins to crawl towards his own, not eager to tag in Hitman Alex, but rather focused on getting some air from the thus-suffocating D-Volution. David Michaels takes a small but potentially substantial risk, and rather than stopping Hope from advancing towards his corner, Michaels instead goes to his, making the quick tag to DC Hennig once more. Hitman Alex's hand is outstretched and the two partners are actually closer than Michaels had anticipated, but before Hope can make the tag (assuming he would have even if he'd gotten to his corner) David Michaels grabs hold of his ankle. Hope, clearly frustrated, rolls over onto his back and kicks Michaels a couple of times, trying to shake him off as if Michaels were an attacking dog. Michaels endures two kicks to his chest from Hope, but successfully blocks the third, grabbing Hope's leg and tucking both of them underneath Michaels' arms. With Hope in a precarious position, Michaels whips his head around to take a quick glance at DC Hennig, who looks very far away at the opposite corner of the ring. Michaels adjusts, taking a few steps back, and looks back at DC Hennig again, who is standing on the second turnbuckle giving a big thumbs up to Michaels. Michaels then allows himself to fall backwards, which in turn Catapults Robert Hope into the air; then, just as Hope begins to involuntarily lunge towards Michaels' and Hennig's corner, DC Hennig launches off the second turnbuckle, catching Hope in mid-air with a larynx-crushing Flying Uppercut! The impact of the aerial assault causes Hope to drop mercilessly onto the mat, as everyone watching, with the noticeable exception of Hitman Alex, marvels at the innovative offence of Michaels and Hennig.

Cedar:
"Once again, Davey and DC show they haven’t missed a beat together, stringing together some quick tags and very nice double team moves."

Miles:
"Why the hell is Hammer allowing this?! You can’t keep tagging in and out like that, dammit’!"

Cedar:
"Actually, you can...hence it’s called A TAG MATCH!"

Miles:
"Don’t fucking correct me, you fat fuck."

While the blood pressure of the XWA World Heavyweight Champion rises to dangerous levels, the aspirations of D-Volution rise to dangerous levels as well. Having reemerged as the highly cohesive unit they were years ago, Hennig and Michaels decide to up their game a bit, so to speak. Michaels returns to the ring apron, and Hennig tags him in once again; their quick tags, while overwhelmingly effective thus far, come off as comical to the live audience, considering that either man barely allows his partner to place both feet on the apron before tagging them back in. There are two men in the arena who are obviously not amused by this, though, as D-Volution takes a moment to formally plan their next maneuver in the hopes of causing extensive damage to one of those two aforementioned gentlemen. Within just a few seconds, Michaels directs Hennig to climb atop the turnbuckles, at a free corner adjacent to both teams' respective corners. Hennig gladly climbs to the top rope, as the sold-out Dallas, Texas, crowd collective leans to the edge of their seats, excited to see what happens next. While Hennig exits the ring to climb the turnbuckles, Robert Hope staggers onto his feet, clearly shaken from the uppercut from earlier. This fragile state allows Michaels the opportunity to position himself behind Hope, then scoop Hope up onto Michaels' shoulders, so that Robert Hope is now literally seated on top of his opponent. With Hennig perched high atop the turnbuckles, and Hope perched precariously atop Michaels shoulders, the XWA Universe unanimously holds its breath, knowing something spectacular - or dare I say phenomenal - is about to happen. But just as Hennig prepares to soar through the air into Robert Hope in an attempted Missile Dropkick/Electric Chair combination, he is unpredictably and violently shoved off the turnbuckle and out of the ring by a wisely opportunistic Hitman Alex. Hennig crashes and burns into the crowd barricade, a long and painful trip to make from the top turnbuckle, as Hitman Alex strolls across the apron back to his corner, choosing to ignore the referee's incessant warnings. Watching his partner spill to the ring provides a tiny window of opportunity for Robert Hope, who seizes it expertly, driving his closed fist into the head and face of David Michaels. Michaels struggles to keep Hope up onto his shoulders, and is unsuccessful in this pursuit, as Hope twists his entire body and wraps his legs around Michaels' neck, then delivers a tremendous Hurricanrana that launches David Michaels directly into the corner of his Revolutionary Wars opponent. The high spirits of the live audience fall as impactfully as DC Hennig did, as Hitman Alex and Robert Hope could have very well turned this match around.

Cedar:
"Hope with a lovely Hurricanrana. Now, can he make the tag to his partner."

Miles:
"Lovely? Fuck that, it was beautiful! Only our Royal Highness could pull off such a gracious move!"

Cedar:
"...you’re still licking his butt, aren't you?"

Miles:
"Yep and he’s still kicking Michaels!"

For the time being, at least, a modicum of understanding appears to have been reached between Robert Hope and Hitman Alex, realising that they need to work like a well oiled machine just like their displayed. Hitman Alex then seizes on the opportunity that placed before him, reaching down over Michaels head and holding him under the chin with his left arm, before unmercilessly burying right forearm shots directly into his chest repeatedly. He does this behind the Jack Hammer’s back, who is too busy looking to the outside of the ring where DC Hennig crashed and burned. Hope, on the other hand, is taking this time to get back to his feet and lick his wounds, knowing he has the time to do so. Eventually the ref notices what Alex is up to and starts making a rather sharpish count to four. The World Champion then raises his arms into the air, stating he was doing nothing wrong, before Hope walks over to him and stares him in the eye. No emotion or communication is exchanged between the two, as Robert Hope slowly reaches out his right hand and Hitman Alex slaps it for the tag. Hope then pulls Michaels up to his feet in the corner and whips him across the ring, into the opposite corner, as hard as he can. Michaels’ slams into it, spine first, so hard the turnbuckles actually shake. Hope then quickly holds onto the arm of his tag team partner and bolts him across the ring, just as hard. Hitman Alex then uses his entire weight to launch his right arm into Michaels upper chest, with a Corner Clothesline! The force is that great, sweat goes flying from both men like dust and Michaels drops to a seated position in the corner. Jack Hammer has already counted to five and is now forcing Hope to get out of the ring. The leader of The Hopeful bats Hammer’s arm away, not willing to be touched by such a peasant before making his way back onto the apron in his own time. With the ref distracted, yet again, Hitman Alex is quick to drop to one knee and wraps his World Champion hands around the throat of his opponent come the Pay Per View. He viciously begins choking David Michaels, squeezing his hands as tight as he can, before Jack Hammer finally takes his attention off of Hope and begins counting for Hitman Alex to release the choke, which he eventually does.

Cedar:
"Dammit’ ref, get Hitman off of him!"

Miles:
"Oh yeah, be a biased commentator why don’t you….you’re so unprofessional, Ted. Jeeshhh..."

As Michaels holds onto his windpipe, gasping for precious air, the World Champion slowly reaches down and drags Michaels up and out of the corner. Alex then overhooks Michaels head with his left arm and tightly pulls up his left leg, also. Locking his hands together Hitman Alex then pops his hips and floats Michaels over in a lovely Fisherman’s Suplex, keeping that leg hooked for the cover.

2….
Kickout!

The fans get a little excitment back in their eyes, as Michaels manages to kick out after two. Hitman Alex, on the other hand, is none too pleased and slaps his right hand into the mat in frustration. Standing back up straight, Hitman decides what he needs to do right now is taunt the crowd, raising his arms up into the air and yelling to them “HOW ARE YOUR HEROES NOW?!” before brutally beginning to stomp away all over David Michaels body. The Showstealer attempts to cover himself from the shots, until they manage to stop. But the onslaught is far from done, as Hitman Alex walks over to his tag partner and slaps him hard on the chest, making him the legal man. Hope closes his eyes, not too amused by the style of the tag, but keeps himself composed as he climbs through the ropes and into the ring. Alex then starts telling Hope what to do which, again, doesn’t sit too well with the King of the XWA...but he rolls along with it regardless. The pair grab an arm each of the now upright David Michaels and push him against the ropes, whipping him off. Davey rebounds back towards his two opponents and before he can consider reversing anything they do, the hair just barge right into him with a vicious and rather brute Double Shoulder Block, showing no nonsense whatsoever! Alex is then told to leave, as Hope drops to his knees and begins thundering away at that face once more. As all this is happening, DC Hennig has started to crawl back over to his corner on the outside of the ring. Hitman Alex spots this and keeps a close eye on him, as Robert Hope continues to work on Michaels’ head. Hope then quickly drags his long time foe up, placing his right arm under Michaels’ neck, lifting him up and then planting him into the ring with a Urinage! Michaels holds onto his back, in pain, as Hope gets back to his feet and is rather pleased with himself. Naturally Hope celebrates the move...by slapping himself a few times...obviously. He keeps his eyes focused on Michaels, however, and slowly rises up to one of the adjacent corners free from any tag team partner activity and sits on the top turnbuckle. Hope measures Michaels, as he slowly struggles up to his feet. As The Showstealer circles around, Hope leaps off the second rope and goes to implant his head firmly into the mat with a Flying DDT, which is a favourite of his. However, Michaels suddenly leaps up at the last moment and catches Hope in the face and chest with a Heartbreaker, showing his knee right where it hurts! The whiplash sends Hope flopping back to his feet before falling back to the mat, as the fans in Dallas, Texas begin a massive “LETS GO MICHAELS!” chant, urging him to make the tag to DC who has managed, somehow, to get back onto the apron! Michaels rolls onto his chest and sees his D-Volution partner on one knee, on the apron, clearly still struggling in their corner. It doesn’t matter, though, as Mr. Phenomenal has his hand reached out looking for the tag. Michaels begins crawling over, reaching out as he does. Only a foot away, the crowd all cheer as loud as they can, as they want to see Hennig get back into this one. However, a smattering of boos begin surfacing behind DC, as Hitman Alex has since hopped down from his side of the ring and races around. He grabs DC by the feet and pulls him off, his chin smacking badly off the ring edge, before Hitman Alex grabs a chunk of that soaking wet blonde hair and flings him backwards! DC Hennig smashes head first into the barricade, as the fans all boo Hitman Alex all the way to hell! Michaels is now on all fours, in his corner, looking for the tag that shall never come.

Cedar:
"For the love….COME ON! Hitman Alex just taking DC Hennig out of this match AGAIN and now Michaels is left to search for a tag that isn’t even there. Dammit’!"

Miles:
"Oh blah blah, cry me a river why don’t ya’? Hitman Alex did what he needed to do, that’s why he is the XWA World Heavyweight Champion...he’s way smarter than those two clowns."

Michaels the uses the ropes to get back up onto his feet and looks at a smirking Hitman Alex on the outside, distinctly pissed off that his partner just got taken out like that. This, though, is a distraction that Michaels shouldn’t focus on for as Hitman stares at him, Hope whacks him from behind with a Running Lariat! Michaels, being close to the corner, bounces off the turnbuckles and Hope follows it up with yet more wild rights and lefts, this time to the back of Michaels head. Hope then quickly picks Hope up from behind and gets him into the Torture Rack position - he’s looking for the Year of the Dragin Burning Hammer! Hope walks his former Hell in a Cell opponent into the centre of the ring and looks out at the crowd, his tongue wagging out like a rabid dog! Nova, on the outside, is busy trying to will DC Hennig back up to his feet, as she tries to keep a second eye on the action in the ring. Hope is about to hit the move, when Michaels somehow manages to slip free and shoves Hope against the ropes. As Hope rebounds back, Michaels shoots his right foot into the air and goes for the Shattered Teeth Symphony! The crowd is about to roar, only Hope knows this move too well and holds onto the foot. He then swings Michaels around, seeing that Hitman Alex has posed himself on the opposite side of the ring. As he’s swung around, the World Heavyweight Champion charges forwards and lunges his arms and shoulder out, looking for a Spear...but Michaels, at the last moment, side steps it and Hitman Alex is left to Spear Robert Hope right in the gut! The crowd is finally able to roar in approval, as Hitman Alex gets up and holds the top of his head, realising what he just did. He then turns to Michaels, who is stood back first to him. The Showstealer then charges to the ropes and comes rushing back in, flying gracefully through the and cracks Hitman Alex firmly in the face with a Flying Forearm Smash, to the sheer delight of the fans! Nova is now virtually dragging DC back to his feet, who is desperate to get back on the apron. The ref has almost given up hope now as to who is legal, but does his best to try and only get two men in the ring at once. The capacity crowd in Dallas, Teaxs are all stomping and clapping away, urging Michaels on to his corner, to which he is now crawling. Inch by inch, the wish for the tag to be made rises, and when that final slap of hands is heard around the arena, the place goes bananas!

Cedar:
"HERE. COMES. HENNIG!!!"

Miles:
"Well fuck..."

Mr. Phenomenal bursts out of his corner with as much unbridled velocity as a cannonball, fueled by the overwhelming applause from the XWA Universe and an equally overwhelming desire to exact revenge of Hitman Alex. The XWA World Heavyweight Champion is on his feet now, back turned to Hennig, and did not see the tag made; thus, Alex appears a bit startled when the live audience explodes with excitement. Alex has no time to react, however, as DC Hennig charges towards him then leaps into the air, tucking his knees up to his chest until they make contact with Hitman Alex's back, resembling that aforementioned cannonball as he delivers an equalizing Running Double High Knee! Alex is propelled forward towards his corner, and the momentum carries him fully over until he rolls back onto his feet, facing DC Hennig this time. While his body may be prepared to defend an attack, Alex has been caught off guard so tremendously that he is mentally unprepared for Hennig's following onslaught of rights and lefts, as Mr. Phenomenal tackles the World Champion and vents his frustration through his fists. The referee begins to question his career choices, as he is clearly incapable of maintaining order in this viciously competitive match, but nonetheless pleads with Hennig that Hope is the legal man, not Alex. Hennig ignores Hammer's cries, however, a with nothing on his mind but the sole objective of smashing Hitman Alex's face in. Both men are on the ground now, Alex trying to roll underneath the bottom rope and into his corner, but Hennig is relentless in his physical assault until Jack Hammer finally has no choice but to get physically involved as well. Hammer drags Hennig off of Hitman Alex, who successfully tucks underneath the bottom rope and climbs back up onto his feet, safely in his corner and able to shake off some cobwebs, running his tongue across each of his teeth to make sure they're still in place. Meanwhile, DC Hennig, his full attention focused on Hitman Alex, tries to rush past a struggling Jack Hammer, only to fall prey to the actual legal man in the match, Robert Hope. Hope sneaks behind Hennig and, with the technical expertise of a true professional, quickly locks in a Crossface Chickenwing submission on an unsuspecting Hennig. Rather than keeping the hold locked in, though, Hope tosses Hennig backwards, causing him to do a complete backflip before he crashes into the mat, the unfortunate victim of a beautiful Crossface Chickenwing Suplex! Hope, lying on the mat, glares over at his opponent and considers going for the pinfall, but with a menacing smirk and equally intense look in his eyes, decides to pick himself back up and attempt to end the match with his finishing Hangman's Neckbreaker. Hope works his way back onto his feet, and draws his arms back, like a cobra about to strike, but shockingly enough the arrogant Hitman Alex reaches over and slaps his tag partner's back, becoming the legal man! Hope's deflation is more apparent than the popping of a balloon, his frustration reaching a lethal amount as Alex enters the ring once more.

Cedar:
"Well Joey, it appears that Hope and Alex are about to reach their breaking points with one another. And for good reason too -- Robert Hope may have very well ended this bout if Alex has allowed him the opportunity!"

Miles:
"Oh please, Hitman Alex is more than capable of putting away these D-Volution assholes. Have some confidence in your World Champion for fuck's sake."

Hitman Alex steps through the ropes, his eyes already set on DC Hennig, not in the least bit cognizant of the anger swelling in the face of Robert Hope until Hope stands like a brick wall in front of Alex. "What the fuck is your problem? Who the fuck do you think you are?" Hope, in a hostile manner, insultingly interrogates the XWA World Champion, who brushes off his bitter questions with a simple "Step aside, he's mine." Alex then brushes past Hope, bumping his shoulder in the process, as the crowd could cut the tension between the two with a butter knife. Hope fights every impulse in his body and stifles his anger, exitting the ring as Hitman Alex drops to his stomach, pumping his fists on the mat as he sets Hennig up for the HKO. Alex is targeted on Hennig like a submarine about to launch a missile, his focus unbreakable and his strive to defeat Mr. Phenomenal unceasing. Hennig slowly makes his way to his feet, Alex stalking every move and breath he takes, until Alex determines that Hennig is finally in position to deliver the devastating maneuver. Alex leaps into the air and reaches for Hennig's head, but Hennig unpredictably counters the move, twisting out of harm's way! Alex flops down onto his belly, having rotated his body in mid-air in a last stitch attempt to complete the move, and in one smooth swoop, Hennig follows Alex's descent, dropping to his own stomach and quickly locking in a Chinlock, then somersaulting over Hitman Alex to trap the World Champion in Hennig's finishing submission maneuver, the Robbinsdale Vice! The crowd is on their feet, willing on Mr. Phenomenal as he cranes and arches on the back of his opponent, looking to submit the World Champion and end this contest once and for all. Nova's ample assets jiggle slightly as she pounds on the mat, cheering on her stablemate while David Michaels does the same (his assets much less ample, though), while regaining his composure on the apron. All eyes are on Hitman Alex, whose face winces in agony at the pain associated with the hold, but fights through it, determined not to give up and, more importantly, give D-Volution the victory.

Cedar:
"Robbinsdale Vice! Robbinsdale Vice! Imagine the credibility DC Hennig would achieve by submitting the World Heavyweight Champion here!!"

Miles:
"Well I am delighted to burst your bubble Teddy, because I don't think Hennig will have the chance!"

As Joey Miles utters those words, sure enough out of nowhere, Robert Hope flies through the air, having climbed onto the top turnbuckle mere seconds into Hennig's attempt to gain the submission victory. Hope soars off the turnbuckle, and Hennig is not able to see him in time to move out of the way as Hope crashes down onto Hennig with a powerful Top Rope Elbow Drop! Due to the nature of the hold, as Hope drives his elbow into Hennig's sternum and drops his full body weight onto his opponent, Hitman Alex unfortunately feels the effects as well, having been trapped nearly underneath Hennig during this whole ordeal. Hope rises to his feet and stares down upon the two men, remorseless at the damage inflicted upon both of them, but his onslaught is not finished. Hope quickly darts at David Michaels and hits him with a stiff right hand, knocking the "Showstealer" off the apron and onto the floor, then turns his attention back to DC Hennig, picking "Mr. Phenomenal" up onto his feet and locking in a 3/4 headlock, before turning around, the two men back-to-back and DC Hennig completely vulnerable for Robert Hope's sadistic intentions. Hope then drops to his knees, delivering the Hope for the Future that he had in mind moments ago, while Hennig slumps to the canvas, reeling from the effects of the Hangman's Neckbreaker. At this junction, Robert Hope exists in an entirely different universe, the maniacal look in his eyes confirming the fact that he does not even acknowledge Hitman Alex or the rules of tag team competition. Hope drops to his knees and goes for the pinfall, only for Jack Hammer to confirm the obvious: Hitman Alex is the legal man. At that moment, Hope snaps back into reality and lets out a guttural scream of frustration, his anger completely boiling over. Hope reaches down and grabs Hitman Alex by the wrist, and violently drags him back to their corner of the ring with complete disregard to Alex's health and well-being. With Alex near enough to the turnbuckles, Hope exits the ring, and shouts at Alex to "GET UP!" so that Hope can make the tag and finally take his rightful place as the King of XWA by defeating D-Volution once and for all.

Cedar:
"Robert Hope nails a brutalizing Hope for the Future on DC Hennig! I fear for the well-being of all four men in the ring, because it looks as though tensions between Hope and the World's Champion have escalated to dangerous levels. We've seen what Robert Hope is capable of when pushed over the edge --"

Miles:
"-- And I can't wait to see it again!"

Hitman Alex picks himself up onto his feet in his corner, while Robert Hope literally shakes on the apron, his blood pressure through the fucking roof at this point. Finally, when Alex is on both feet, Hope reaches out and smacks Alex squarely in the chest, leaving a sickening smack reverberating through the arena and a sweltering handprint inflamed upon the chest of the World Champion. The tag infuriates Hitman Alex as Robert Hope enters the ring, ready and more than willing to pin DC Hennig, who is stirring on the canvas just a few feet from him. But before Hope can get to his fallen opponent, he is spun around barbarically by an enraged Hitman Alex, who shouts at his tag partner "I had it under control, I didn't need your help!" Hope and Alex stand toe-to-toe, eyes locked and flicks of saliva flying from their snarling faces as they engage in a vicious argument... all the while DC Hennig eyes David Michaels on the apron, primed and ready to go once again. Hennig slowly and carefully inches his way towards David Michaels, who is bouncing in anticipation along with the thousands of fans in attendance, eager to see Michaels back in action in this match. The slow crawl to his corner seems miles away to DC Hennig, but fortunately the escalating tempers of Hitman Alex and Robert Hope buy him a fair amount of time. After many unfriendly words are exchanged between Alex and Hope, their rising problems as tag partners become physical when Alex jabs his finger into Hope's chest. Half of Michaels' body is leaned over the top rope as he begs for the tag, and Hennig inches ever closer. Hope, his back turned to D-Volution, shoves Alex backwards, both men resembling a pair of carnivorous canines ready to pounce on one another. Hennig inches closer, mere centimeters away from connecting with his tag team partner. While Alex silences every voice in his head that pleads with him to annihilate Robert Hope, to the unbelievable elation of the XWA Universe, DC Hennig finally manages to push past the effects of Hope's finisher to make it to his own corner, where he makes the tag to David Michaels! The sudden outburst of applause from the live audience snaps Robert Hope back into focus, who turns his attention away from Hitman Alex and back onto his opponent. Hope whips around and looks down at the mat, expecting to find an immobile DC Hennig; but instead, just as he tilts his head upwards, the final image Robert Hope has is of the sole of David Michaels' boot flying directly into his chin, as Michaels flattens Robert Hope with an incredible Shattered Teeth Symphony! The eruption of the XWA Universe is comparable to that of a volcano, and as Hope drops to the floor, his eyes glazed over and mouth agape, Hitman Alex merely looks down upon his tag team partner, emotionless as David Michaels goes for the pinfall.

DING...DING...DING!!!

Watts:
"Here are your winners...David Michaels and DC Hennig…DDDDD-VOLUUUUUUTIONNNNNNN!!!!!!"

Hitman Alex leans against the top rope, his eyes fixated on the beaten Robert Hope. The fact that he, too, has been defeated in this match is not a thought that pops into Alex's mind; rather than sulking in defeat, Alex nearly relishes in the downfall of perhaps the most difficult tag team partner he's ever had the displeasure of teaming with. But as DC Hennig stumbles back into the ring, and the referee raises the hands of the victorious D-Volution, a new-found fire is lit behind the callous eyes of the XWA World Champion. Whether it be the impossible attempts at teamwork with Robert Hope, the bitter taste of defeat on Vendetta, or the mere fact that his Revolutionary Wars opponent has emerged triumphant, Hitman Alex's blood boils in his veins; his nostrils flare; his hands tremble; and within the course of one night, a new beast has arisen in the XWA World Heavyweight Champion. David Michaels and DC Hennig relish in their victory for a bit, before David Michaels catches a glimpse of Alex's death glare through the corner of his eye. Michaels turns and points this out to Hennig, who knowingly nods and gives David Michaels a pat on the back, before exitting the ring. While Mr. Phenomenal would be more than willing to assist his tag team partner in what could potentially be a dangerously unstable situation, he knows that this is David Michaels' fight, and it's a fight that Michaels will fight alone, especially inside the Ultimate HellRazor at Revolutionary Wars. Hennig holds his head, still a bit shaken from the match, as Nova escorts him up the ramp; Robert Hope rolls out of the ring, not quite capable of walking out of the arena just yet, but regaining himself on the outside. Only two men are left behind inside the ring, and in an atmosphere of near-unbearable tension, the XWA World Heavyweight Champion and his number one contender stare each other down in the center of the ring.

Cedar:
"What an amazing battle fought here tonight, as the overpowering egos of Robert Hope and Hitman Alex proved to be their very own downfall, unable to conquer the cohesiveness of David Michaels and DC Hennig!"

Miles:
"...but Teddy, it looks like this isn't over yet. Come on Alex, rip his fucking head off."

Hitman Alex and David Michaels stand toe-to-toe in the ring, a hushed silence fallen over the arena like a stifling blanket, as XWA Vendetta approaches its final segment of the night.
