M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope Empty
PostSubject: Re: M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope   M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope EmptyFri Jun 27, 2014 12:31 pm

(For imagination purposes, I am using the old type of Hell in a Cell...not the stupid 7 million foot one WWE uses today. Also, thanks for the extension Ian. I ended up not doing what was planned and was able to get it done in time. I'm sure Kani is happy to have the extension anyway. I won't be changing anything to this now it's posted, so whoever is grading can get a head start and read it right away despite the extension.)

-----

After an in-house commercial for XWA's next pay Per View offering, Revolutionary Wars 6, we are sent back to ringside where every single person in tonight's capacity crowd is standing on their feet. Why? Because the giant Hell in a Cell structure is beginning to be lowered down from the ceiling. This terrifying image gets a pop from the crowd, as the arena lowers it's lighting into darkness and leave a few pulsating lights to illuminate cage for a dramatic visual effect. Not only that, but a pulsating theme is played as the structure lowers, creating even further intensity.

Cedar and Joey begin to remind us on how this match came about.

Cedar:
"...and there you see it, ladies and gentlemen. Perhaps the most vile, terrifying and dangerous structure in the history of professional wrestling. Many men have entered this structure and many have not have much further in their career as a result. Tonight two men step inside this structure looking to put an end to the most intense and storied rivalry in XWA's history. However, Joey Miles, will either man be the same after this one is all said and done?"

Miles:
"I'm just going to speak seriously for a minute - these two want to kill the other. Literally. I never dreamed in a million years this would all culminate into this, inside that crazy structure. If either one of these men is the same after this, I will be highly surprised. The emotional levels that are on display with these two are like nothing we have seen before. Tonight, one of these men is going out of here on a stretcher, I can tell you that much."

Cedar:
"Well you know a situation has become almost deadly when Joey Miles talks in a serious tone."

Miles:
"Well don't get used to it, fatass..."

Cedar:
"With that said, lets see how this incredible rivalry...came about."

A video package begins to play, highlighting all the key aspects of this rivalry over the past couple of months.

With the above theme playing in the background, the video package starts with a shot of David Michaels losing the XWA World Heavyweight Championship at Chain Reaction. The next night on Vendetta, we see Michaels' friends in D-Volution being told that David had been involved in a car accident, forcing them to leave the building. Michaels then storms to the ring, demanding answers as to who set this up...only for Robert Hope and Cerberus to hit the ring and absolutely decimate him, using a Barbed Wire Baseball Bat on him several times over, before hanging him up from the rafters and blood dripping down from his face, directly onto Hope's as he sits there singing. Brutal images of Hope kidnapping Michaels' wife, Mary-Jane Williams aka Sugar, are shown in particular his abuse of keeping her in handcuffs. The video then cuts to Robert hope challenging Michaels to a match at United Xtreme and then the eventual return of Michaels, following it up with that classic brawl to the back where the watching World were left thinking the pair were run over by a limousine.

The pair are then seen fighting in the first ever Underground Match, with brutal spots being picked up. Images of both men being choked, thrown through windows and slammed into the exposed ring floor are emphasised. Robert Hope's hand is raised in victory, with a close up on his smug face as he nurses a dislocated shoulder for his troubles. The next night, Michaels comes out to the ring and declares he isn't finished with Hope and things hall be done his way, only for Hope to then come out later on and declare he is the King of the XWA. Michaels is then seen toying with the self-proclaimed King, pushing his throne off the entrance stage and Hope goes crazy over it. Hope agrees to a rematch at the Big Ass American Bash, before the two then brawl until Michaels gets the upper hand. Michaels then declares that Hope had his match at United Xtreme and now, Michaels' will have his...Hell in a Cell!

The video package then rolls onto Michaels taking part in a sit down interview with Ted Cedar, before Hope and Cerberus take over and chain him up to a chair. D-Volution save the day, before this leads to Michaels losing it and having a fight inside the Cell structure the next week on Vendetta. The video then concludes with a parting image of both men brawling inside the cell with bloody faces, before we are taken back to ringside, where the crowd are now fully pumped up for what will surely be a spectacle to behold.

DING...DING...DING!!!

Watts:
"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is the HELL IN A CELLLLL MATCH! Introducing first..."

The entire arena erupts in an earthquake of boos as the first notes of the entrance theme are heard. A few moments later, the jeers become twice as loud as Robert hope stumbles out from behind the entrance curtain wearing his usual black scruffy leather jacket over his entrance gear, which entails a white tank stop, which appears to be rather dirty due to Hope never washing it, and dark blue ripped jeans. Hope looks as smug as ever, as he stands at the end of the stage and looks out at the disgusted fans booing him. The Prophet soaks in the hate he feeds off each and every week, before methodically walking down the entrance ramp. Rather like his entrance music, Hope pace is very slow which gives some of the fans in the front rows time to let him know just how much he sucks! Hope shrugs it off, slowly waving them away like a true King would.

Watts:
"...from The City of Angels, weighing in at 221 pounds...he is the self-proclaimed "King of the XWA"....this is...ROBERRTTTTTTTTTTTT HOPEEEEEEE!!!"

Hope then stands at the bottom of the ramp and raises his right hand, waving it like he really is from royalty. With his name being announced, the fans use that as a reason to boo him even further.

Cedar:
"As ever, Robert Hope is looking mighty confident on his way to the ring here...perhaps he won't be as confident when he sets his eyes on that Cell."

Miles:
"You're kidding, right?! Even that buffoon he's facing tonight said earlier that just because Hope hasn't been in one of these matches before, doesn't mean he is at a disadvantage...idiot."

Cedar:
"Well I wasn't referring to who had the advantage, actually Joey...I meant he has never experienced being in that cell before in a match situation. His arrogance might just drop once he steps inside..."

Miles:
"Same shit, fatass."

Robert Hope does finally set eyes on the giant cell structure and his focus on taunting the live crowd immediately stops, as he slowly raises his head up and down as he looks at the ominous structure. Hope walks up to the left side of the side in front of him, just past the open door. He gives the panel a good shake, as he watches it violently ripple after letting go. Hope then stands in front of the front door, which is being held open by Ryu Sanu. Hope stares at him dead in the eyes, smiling, before stepping through the door...that is until he steps straight back out and looks around, with a menacing expression on his face. He rips off his leather jacket and bursts into life, darting around the right side of the cage and collides himself into the time keeper, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck and flinging him aside. He then picks up several steel chairs and turns back around, looking at the Cell. He then drops two of the chairs and starts throwing one of them up on top. The crowd have now stopped booing, as they know this match may just get interesting in the early going.

Cedar:
"Wait a minute...what the hell is Hope doing?!"

Miles:
"He's throwing chairs onto the top of the cell. Are you blind, Cedar? He's stood RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!!!"

Cedar:
"Thank you Captain Obvious...I was implying that he shouldn't be doing that..."

Miles:
"You say that like he's followed the rules for the past several months...hashtag YOU FAT IDI--MOTHER OF FUCKING GOD!!!"

Hope fails in the first two attempts to get the chair on top of the cell, with the chair landing on the announce table on the second try, nearly freighting Joey Miles half to death midway through his mandatory Cedar insult. However Robert succeed on the third attempt, which gets a sarcastic cheer from some of the fans. Hope then proceeds to throw the remaining two chairs onto the top of the cell, before slapping himself in the face several times and climbing up it's side! The crowd pops for this, as Jack Hammer in the ring yells at Hope that he has to start the match in the ring. Ryu Sanu sprints round the cell, also yelling at Hope to get down...but that isn't happening any time soon as Robert Hope is now half way up the steel chain wall and has dastardly acts on his mind.

Cedar:
"My God, Robert hope is climbing the damn cell! This can't end well..."

Miles:
"...HOPEfully...HOPE PUN...it won't end well for Michaels when he comes out here. He has no idea Hope is on top of the Cell!"

After a struggle, Robert Hope finally makes it to the top of the Cell, picking himself up and dragging the steel chairs to the opposite side that faces the entrance way. It's a little darker up there, as the default lighting for Hope's entrance certainly didn't compensate for him being that high up. His music eventually fades away and the crowd erupts for the sound of the next one...

Cedar:
"LISTEN TO THE OVATION FOR MICHAELS!"

Miles:
"Damn idiot...Michaels won't be smiling when he sees where Hope is!"

The noise is truly deafening inside The Scottrade Center, as Michaels walks out from behind the black entrance curtain and instantly pulls each of his arms out to either side of himself. He swings around and closes his eyes, sucking in the tremendous atmosphere the fans are creating. Wearing his black and red zebra tights, with his fancy leather jacket, shades and trademark cowboy hat, Michaels looks as ready as ever - his words earlier certainly cemented that fact. He stands at the end of the entrance stage and drops down to one knee, before pulling up his left arm and flexing his bicep as red and silver fireworks pulsate off behind him! Michaels then leaps up and is full of energy...until he stops dead in his tracks, finally noticing that Robert Hope is at the very top of the Cell looking down in his direction and smiling, holding a chair over his shoulder. Michaels rips off his entrance jacket, shades and hat, tossing them all to the floor. He looks right back at Hope, who is clearly challenging him to start the match up there! Michaels loses all sense of fun and walks down the ramp, meeting Ryu Sanu at the bottom who pleads with the former three time XWA World Heavyweight Champion to not do this. Michaels attempts to walk past and climb the cell, but Sanu is having none of it. The pair then start arguing aggressively, until the match's official referee, Jack Hammer, joins in. Michaels then grabs hold of Hammer and demands he rings the bell. Hammer is having none of it, until Michaels threatens to punch him...and eventually Hammer calls for the bell, albeit begrudgingly. Michaels just shoves him out of the way and heads over to the Cell, grabbing it with both hands and begins to climb up to the delight of the crowd in attendance.

DING...DING...DING!!!

Cedar:
"What?! Jack Hammer calls for the bell and we are under way...MICHAELS IS HEADING TO THE TOP OF THE DAMN CELL!!!"

Miles:
"YES! YES YES YES YESSSS! Throw him the hell off, Hope!"

Cedar:
"This is unbelievable! These two men have already shown they won't be satisfied until the other's career is over...now it may seriously happen here!"

Miles:
"This is it, Cedar. This the moment Michaels FINALLY ends!"

The crowd continues to erupt, as Michaels claws his way up the side of the Cell. Hope is almost in jubilation up above, swinging around the steel chair he was holding and begins to place the other two in the positions he desires. Michaels is now half way up, as Hope turns back around and grips the chair with by hands via it's closed legs. As Michaels struggles to get to the top, Hope quickly darts towards him and slams the chair down, aiming for his right hand. Michaels quickly moves it away, avoiding the shot, before holding back onto the steel. Hope then lifts the chair back up and goes for the left hand, again missing and only connecting with the Cell. Michaels loses his footing and begins to swing from the side of the Cell, holding on for dear life, before shifting his weight back around and regaining his grip. Hope then begins to laugh and lifts the chair above his head once more, looking to send it straight into Michaels skull...but The Showstealer desperately reaches up and shoots his right fist into the gut of Hope, coming awfully close to connecting with a Low Blow. Hope stumbles back several feet, dropping the chair and holding his gut. These few moments give Michaels the time he needs to get up from the side of the Cell and forces himself up top, rolling onto the flimsy steel roof before pushing himself up to his feet.

Cedar:
"Good God, these two men have got to be twenty feet in the air!"

Miles:
"Michaels almost fell off...it nearly happened, Cedar! Maybe next time!"

Hope lifts himself upright and begins laughing again, holding up the chair once more and walking over to Michaels. The former World Champion, however, just opens up with a really meaty right fist straight to Hope's face. The shot is so hard, it knocks Hope out just for a moment and he drops to one knee, once again losing the grip of the chair. Taking advantage, Michaels reaches down and picks up the chair, lifts it over his head and sends a stinging shot straight into the upper spine of The Prophet. Hope arches his back, as he presses his fists into the steel roof in pain...but still laughing as he does. Michaels lifts the chair up again and sends another shot directly into his spine. This time Hope collapses onto the Cell roof and rolls onto his back, still laughing loudly as the pain riddles up and down his back.

Cedar:
"Hope is laughing...he's actually laughing at getting a chair sent into his spine! The hell is wrong with this guy?!"

Miles:
"Nothing is wrong with your King! He is merely a little ticklish..."

Michaels drops the steel chair and then reaches down, turning Hope over onto his stomach. He gets down on one knee and begins to grate Hope's face into the steel roof, sending it from side to side, wanting to draw blood from his evil face once more in the space of a week. Michaels then begins to hurl insults towards his nemesis, as he keeps on grinding his face into the steel. But then Robert sends his left elbow hurtling backwards and it catches it mark pretty damn hard, as he catches Michaels' lower region. He drops down beside Hope, onto the cage, as he momentarily struggles for breath. Hope then, checking for blood from his forehead, pulls himself back up to his feet and begins telling Michaels "is this the game you want to play?!", as he picks up the steel chair used against him moments earlier. The crowd are right behind Michaels, chanting his name in the early going at the top of their lungs. Hope then pushes Michaels onto his back and places the top part of the chair into this throat, pushing down as hard as he can with all his weight and begins choking Michaels with brute force.

Cedar:
"Hope now, placing his entire weight behind that chair...just crushing Michaels throat here."

Miles:
"Hey maybe he won't be able to talk any more after this either! Hope really is our saviour."

As Michaels begins to cough violently from the choking, Hope virtually leans his entire body over the chair as he hurls some verbal insults towards his opponent. Michaels does his best to break free, but fortunately for him, Hope decides to let go a tosses the chair away. Hope then, looking rather maniacal, wanders over to where the other two chairs were placed and picks them up, setting them both up on the roof of the Cell. He places them opposite the other, before turning back around and walking back over to a struggling David Michaels. He grabs his hair with both hands and drags him over, almost wanting to pull his hair out by the roots. Michaels is too busy trying to catch his breath, as he's pulled up to his feet and across the cell roof. Hope then takes Michaels head and smashes it into the thick, steel rod that holds the roof of the cell together. Michaels flops on his back, holding his face as Hope looks around at the chairs contemplating his next move. The self-proclaimed King of the XWA pulls Michaels up and places his head in between his leg, before swinging him round to that he is looking at the chair a foot in front. Hope then clubs Michaels in his arched back several times over, before locking them around his waist and pulling him up. Michaels legs shake in the air, before he manages to dead weight the move and lands back on his feet. Hope them cracks him in the spine several more times with thick Forearm shots, one after the other, lefts and rights.

Cedar:
"I think Hope is looking to Powerbomb Michaels through those chairs here...that could end this right away!"

Miles:
"Hope is a freakin' genius - he had all this planned out from the get go and that moron Michaels fell for it...AGAIN!"

Hope goes for the move a second time, but only finds the same results. This time, however, as Michaels lands back on his feet he uses the momentum to hoist Hope up in a Back Body Drop! The crowd all cheers, as Hope looks as though he's about to say hello to his little chairs. But The Prophet had it long scouted and manages to turn in mid-air and actually land, feet first, on the two chairs. Thinking he's free, Michaels stands back upright and turns around, expecting to see his opponent in a wreck amongst the steel chairs. But he doesn't. Instead he's greeted by a laughing Robert Hope who, within a blink of an eye, grabs him around the head with his left arm and ploughs him down, face first, into the chairs! Michaels' forehead is the first to impact the chairs, as they ends of the seat positions both dent downwards before Hope's body then smashes into the right one and breaks it entirely. The crowd give off a massive "OHHHHHHH!", as both men crumble amongst the now broken steel chairs. The chair Hope lands on is forced down that hard, it actually manages to split some of the chain link fence that the cell roof is made of, creating a very unstable platform. Michaels holds onto his face, as his forehead that was bust open earlier on in the week on Vendetta is hurting badly while Robert Hope half sits up, arching his back, and screams out in fury. He then knocks the other chair away, starting a mini temper tantrum, as he attempts to roll back up onto his feet.

Cedar:
"I think Michaels may have been busted open from that one. That was a wicked DDT on the steel chairs and Michaels didn't see it coming."

Miles:
"Because he's an idiot. Does he think Hope would REALLY go for such an obvious move?!"

Cedar:
"Eerrrmmmm...yes and he did."

Miles:
"...shut up."

Hope clambers back up to his feet and then kicks one of the chairs away, almost sending it clean off the edge and into the crowd. He then dramatically leaps on top of Michaels' back and begins laying in wild rights and lefts into his face, to which Michaels attempts to cover up as he is indeed now cut open with blood dripping from the chain link fencing. Hope then stands back up and holds onto Michaels hair, again, and drags him towards the edge of the cell that's facing the announce tables. Hope pushes Michaels right on the edge and gets stands beside him, before dropping down into a seated position and pushing his legs out. Whilst gripping onto the cell roof, Hope then actually begins to force Michaels over the side of the cell! The fans all get to their feet, as they can't believe Hope is actually wanting to do this! Michaels holds on for dear life, clutching the roof of the cell as hard as he can while blood drips down his face. Hope appear to be winning the proverbial tug of war, as Michaels lower portion finds itself swinging from the side of the cage. Michaels, though, manages to reach up and rakes Hope's eyes, buying himself some time. The fans almost mixed, as Michaels begins to actually climb down from the cell. Hope regains his vision and then leans over the side, grabbing Michaels by the hair preventing him from going any further. The Showstealer, however, isn't interested in being up there any longer and pulls Hope down. Hope nearly falls clean off, but manages to swing his body around and is now right beside Michaels half way up the cell. Michaels smashes Hope face first into the cell, before Hope returns the favour. Hope then manages to drill Michaels' head into the steel wall, almost causing him to fall half way up the cell. However Hope buys himself some time to climb down himself, which is met by boos from the fans. Once back on his feet, Robert then reaches up and clubs Michaels in the base of his spine, before turning around and placing himself in between Michaels' legs. He's still too far up, so hope just latches onto his tights and pulls back on him, sending him flying down through the Chinese announce table with a modified version of a Powerbomb!

Cedar:
"MICHAELS SENT STRAIGHT THROUGH THE CHINESE ANNOUNCE TABLE!"

Miles:
"HOLY CRA---wait, when in the hell did we get a Chinese announce table?!"

Michaels' body causing the announce table to explode from the pressure and he is out cold, as Hope leans back on the cell with that horrid laugh once again. Ryu Sanu races around and checks on Michaels, who isn't moving at all. Hope doesn't appreciate the concern and shoves Sanu out of the way, before he reaches down and drags Michaels up by his hair. Hope then sends him flying into the cell wall and Michaels entire right side clatters it with force, before he falls back into the arms of Hope he just tosses him to the floor. He then reaches back down and picks the helpless Michaels up and places him on his shoulders, in a Fireman's Carry, and slowly starts to walk him around the cell towards the door. Sanu follows him, before Hope walks through the cell's door and drops Michaels on the floor, turning around and then pulling the door shut behind him. The Prophet then tells Sanu to lock it, which he does using a silver lock and thick chain. The fans cheers, as both men are now locked firmly inside the cell!

Cedar:
"Well this is where the match was supposed to start to begin with, not on the damn top! Michaels was foolish to fall for that...now Hope has him right where he wants!"

Miles:
"All part of the master plan, Cedar. One day your fatass will believe..."

Hope then stomps Michaels in his bloody face, before reaching under the ring and pulling out his magic black bag of tricks he's been accustomed to using over the past few weeks. Before he can search through it's contents, he heads back over to Michaels, grabs him by the head and arm and simply launches him straight into the cell wall! Michaels hits the cell wall with tremendous velocity and is rebound back, thudding the thin black mat. Hope then heads back to his bag and leans down, pulling out a variety of objects including lighter fluid, bolt cutters, his favourite wooden leg from his now broken throne, a crowbar, a lead pipe and a steel chain. Hope likes the chain at this moment and swings it around over his head, hitting the cell wall as he does. He turns back round and wraps the chain over Michaels head, choking him with is as blood pours out from his forehead. Michaels gets back up to his feet, but Hope uses that to suddenly surge forwards and fling him back into the cell wall again! Michaels rebounds off with massive amounts of violence, which Hope uses to drag him around to the adjacent side of the ring and runs right across, before launching him into another part of the cell! Once again, Michaels rebounds off and Hope, this time, uses that to send him face first into the ring post. Hope eventually lets go of the chain and allows Michaels to fall to the floor, holding the ring post for support. Robert then stomps back around to his bag of tricks and picks up the wooden leg he turned into almost an arrow. Michaels slides back into the ring, barely able to breath, as he attempts to get the chain off his neck. As he turns around, Hope is back in the ring and runs across, smashing the pointy end directly into his face! Michaels drops to the mat like a sack of potatoes and Hope drops to his knees, for the very first cover of this match!

Kick out!

Michaels manages to kick out

Cedar:
"Michaels has already taken a lot here, so somehow he managed to kick out of that! Damn Hope and that stupid leg of that throne..."

Miles:
"Don't disrespect such an important artefact like that, Cedar. That will be placed in a museum when Hope decides to step from his throne!"

Hope slaps his hands three times at Jack Hammer, before getting back to his feet and bringing Michaels with him. Hope then kicks Michaels in the gut and grabs his head with his left arm, gripping it tightly and dropping him down with a DDT! He floats over into the Lateral Press.

1....
2.....
Kick out!

Michaels kicks out again, but Hope doesn't contest it this time and just gets straight back to his feet, once more dragging Michaels up with him. Hope then pushes Michaels over to the corner and whips him across the ring, Michaels hitting the turnbuckles really hard. Hope then charges across the ring and looks for a Running Shoulder, but Michaels pulls himself out of the way and Hope collides with the ring post, before falling straight out of the ring! The fans cheers, as Michaels dodge that bullet. Hope can be heard yelling out in pain, as he leans on the cell wall. Back in the ring, Michaels looks around and then runs across the opposite side of the ring, bouncing off the ropes. He comes back across the then leaps through the top and middle ropes with a Suicide Dive, hitting into Hope and sending back men into the cell wall!

Cedar:
"Both men sent into the cell wall! Michaels risking a lot there just to get back into this one, Joey."

Miles:
"Well the moron is like that. He can't out wrestle Hope in the ring, so he resorts to being a spot monkey."

Michaels gets back up to his feet and begins to rearrange the steel steps, pushing the top portion off and then pulling round the bottom part. He then pulls Hope up by his hair and latches onto his head with a Front Facelock, before holding onto his waist and lifting him into the air. Michaels then dumps Hope, spine first, onto the steel steps with a variation of the classic Suplex! Hope lays on the steps, screaming out in agony, as Michaels drops to one knee tired from the match already. He then, looking around, finds the chain in the ring used on him earlier and reaches for it. He holds it by both hands and wraps it around Hope's neck, twisting it around twice before pulling back on it. Michaels then gets on the ring apron and forces Hope to come with him. Michaels climbs through the top and middle rope, but fiddles around bringing the chain over the top. Once that is figured out, Michaels drops to one knee and begins tugging back on the chain choking Hope over the top rope. His legs begin to dangle from being pulled up, as Michaels wants to make this man pass out! Eventually, Hope manages to pull himself up onto the ring apron, thus breaking some of the force behind the chain. As he does, Michaels immediately lets go of the chain and grabs hold of the top rope, pulling it back as far as it will go and then letting go, watching it whiplash straight into Hope's face! The Prophet is sent hurtling back off the apron and smashes back first into the cell wall!

Cedar:
"Michaels getting a little inventive with his offence there. No way Hope saw that one coming...none of us did."

Miles:
"I'm sure he had it scouted..."

Cedar:
"I just said no on---forget it. Of course Hope did - he's our King...."

Miles:
"FINALLY you are believing, Cedar!"

Michaels then heads out of the ring and pulls out a steel chair from under the apron, sliding it into the ring before he walks around to Hope. He picks him up, who is really finding it hard to even breath or see right now after that exchange and is pushed into the ring. Hope rolls into the centre, as Michaels climbs up onto the apron. Watching Hope get back up, Michaels then spring boards off the top rope and cracks Hope in the skull with a Flying Clothesline! The fans cheers, as Michaels rolls into the cover.

1....
2.....
Kick out!

Hope kicks out and begins to curses several times over, not pleased he is being taken for a ride here. Michaels, though, has since got back to his feet and picked the steel chair up. As Hope gathers himself back up, Michaels tosses the chair towards him. Instinctively, hope catches it and before he knows what to do with it, Michaels leaps up into the air and Dropkicks the steel chair right into Hope's face! Hope is sent flying backwards, falling over into the corner of the ring. Hope then rebounds off from the force and Michaels leaps forwards, pressing both his knees in Hope's chest and connects with the Heartbreaker (Codebreaker)! Hope whiplashes backwards and lands on his back, as Michaels then decides to not go for the cover, but heads out onto the apron and then the top turnbuckle! With Hope down in the centre of the ring, Michaels balances himself on the top rope and then leaps off, looking to nail his Top Rope Elbow Drop to end this match...but Robert Hope sees it coming at the last moment and rolls out of the way, Michaels left to only Elbow Drop the ring mat. Hope then gets back up to his feet and picks up the steel chair, turns around and in one swift motion sends it straight into a recovering Michaels skull with sheer force! The chair dents in the shape of Michaels cranium, as Hope lifts it up again before smashing it back on his skull! The Showstealer isn't looking so good here, as he drops to the mat and Hope throws the chair across the ring. The fans can barely watch, s those two shots managed to turn the entire flow of the match. Hope, much like Michaels, isn't content with a cover at this point and heads out of the ring. He looks back in his bag and then pulls out a very familiar weapon - a barded wire baseball bat that has been so prominent throughout the rivalry. Bat in hand, Hope slides back into the ring and begins to stalk Michaels. He stands in front of him, slowly watching the helpless former World Champion desperately trying to get back to his feet. Once upright, Hope swings the bat over his head and brings it down, but Michaels takes a chance and slides under Hope's legs, getting back to his feet and then leaps into the air, looking for a Backstabber...but Hope manages to reach out a free hand and grabs the top rope, stopping the move and Michaels jolts backwards to the mat. Michaels pulls himself up, his spine hurting him after that error. Hope then swings around, impatiently, and goes to hit Michaels in the already bloody face with the barbed wire bat. Michaels manages to duck out the way of it, again, luckily. He then, rather without thinking, latches onto Hope's left leg as he turns around and quickly looks for the unexpected Break a Leg! submission finisher. Hope, though, is having none of it and in order to break the hold, just sends the bat into Michaels's spine! The barbed wire pricks several spots on his upper back, before he lets go. Hope then drops the bat and holds onto Michaels head, slowly twisting it round and then jumps into the air as they are back to back. Hope then lands on his knees and connects with his Hope for the Future Hangman's Neckbreaker finisher! The crowd boos massively, as Michaels falls to the mat and Hope make the cover via the near leg.

1......
2.......
SHOULDER UP!

Cedar:
"HE GOT THE SHOULDER UP! How in the hell did he do that?!"

Miles:
"Go dammit' Hope, you're meant to BREAK HIS NECK WITH THAT! DO IT AGAIN...OR...SOMETHING!!!"

The fans go insane as David Michaels somehow manages to get his shoulder up after the Hope for the Future Hangman's Neckbreaker! As Jack Hammer holds up two fingers to Hope, he sits there, looking at him in utter astonishment. People don't kick out of that...they never do. Don't they?! Hope's eyes rapidly swirl around, not sure what to make of the situation. He begins to tear away at his hair, pulling several large chunks out in frustration, before beginning to rock back and forth. The crowd start to get right back behind Michaels, as he lays on his side blood pouring from his forehead. Hope pulls himself back up to his feet, using the ropes, before heading back over to his bag of tricks almost in a drunk like manner. He drops to his knees and rummages around, before pulling out a pair of handcuffs - the exact same type that were used this past week, inadvertently, on Cerberus (they have a thick piece of plastic in the middle instead of a chain)! Hope holds them in the air, like a trophy, as he smiles looking down at the helpless Michaels. Slowly walking over to him, Hope reaches down and places one end of the cuffs onto Michaels left arm, locking it on tight before he starts to drag him across the ring and to the corner. Michaels isn't moving at all and is just easy prey for The Prophet, who pushes him up into the corner and locks the other portion of the handcuffs onto the top turnbuckle - the steel rod part that connects it to the ring post, to be precise. Hope lets go of Michaels and takes a few steps back, as that maniacal looks returns from earlier on in the match. Michaels begins to finally come around and starts attempting to move his left arm, only to realise he's a sitting duck. Hope then claps his hands, almost like a seal that’s just learnt a new trick, before turning around and picking up the barded wire baseball bat from earlier. Hope starts to prick his fingers on the sharp points of the wire, as he stares as the helpless Michaels. The Showstealer is now desperately trying to free himself from the cuffs, but it just isn't happening.

Cedar:
"Michaels is trapped here! Hope has got him right he wants and now he's going to carve him up like a butcher!"

Miles:
"Hope has had this ALLLL figured out. One day you'll recognise this man's genius, Cedar."

Cedar:
"This isn't genius, you idiot, this is just plain barbaric! This man has NEVER wanted a fair fight with Michaels and you know it."

Miles:
"All I know is Michaels is about to ripped to shreds and there isn't a damn thing anyone can do about it!"

Michaels pulls as hard as he can at the cuffs, but the reinforced plastic portion is just making an escape impossible. Hope takes his sweet time in walking over to Michaels, before suddenly bursting over with pace and cracks Michaels directly in the gut with the barded wire bat! David screams out in pain, as the wires sticks to his flesh in the brutal of fashions. Hope then quickly rips it back, pulling tiny pieces of skin with it, as speckles of blood begin to appear on Michaels' chest! Hope then, with rage in his eyes, lifts the bat over his head and brings it crashing down once more, this time into the already bloodied face of his opponent. The blow knocks Michaels out for a few moments and his entire body flops down, his legs turning to jelly underneath him. Hope then pushes the bat, horizontally, into Michaels forehead and yells several unsavoury insult in his direction. The fans can barely watch, as Michaels is a man legitimately screaming in agony like he has never done before. The referee, Jack Hammer, actually begins pleading with Hope to stop this as it's rather disgusting. Hope's impatient nature means he pulls the bat from Michaels face and swings round, aiming it at Hammer. Jack leaps to the floor and rolls out of the ring, not wanting any part of that bat and decides to not interfere again in this contest. Nevertheless, Hope did stop the brutal hold and drops the bat. He then heads back over this his black bag and starts searching for yet even more weapons, while Michaels' face is now bleeding twice as much as it was earlier whilst he attempts to pulls himself up using the top rope.

Cedar:
"This is disgusting. Hasn't Hope done enough to this man, for God sakes?!"

Miles:
"Oh but it's OK when Michaels is using that bat on Hope?! Stop having double standards for a guy who openly admits to thinking you're a jackass, Cedar..."

Michaels is now back on his feet, but is barely able to actually see due to the amount of blood pouring down his face. He begins struggling with the top turnbuckle, trying to figure out a way of getting out of this, while the fans actually begin to pop for behind him Robert Hope has pulled out a weapon from his bag - a large knife!

Cedar:
"What the hell?! A KNIFE!"

Miles:
"OK, maybe this is going too far..."

Cedar:
"YOU THINK?! HE'S LIABLE TO STAB MICHAELS HERE!"

Miles:
"DON'T SHOUT AT ME, YOU FAT SHIT! I DIDN'T PULL OUT THE DAMN KNIFE!"

Michaels looks around and sees Hope stroking the knife, not believing what he is seeing! Hope turns around and begins laughing, again, at Michaels who is now frantically trying to break free. Hope slowly walks towards him, clutching the knife in his right hand and slowly drawing it to head height - this is almost like a scene from a Hitchcock movie! Michaels pulls away at the cuffs, back and forth, as hard as he can while Hope is now just a foot in front of him. Michaels begins kicking out, trying to knock the knife from out of his hands...until Hope backs up, and cocks his head to the right. He then, rather dramatically, drops backwards onto the mat and rolls out of the ring. He pulls up one of the ring curtains and begins slicing away at the little ropes holding the padding down for the ring mat. Michaels looks on, completely confused, but wastes little time in continuing his attempted escape. The fans are all on their feet, all standing on their tippy toes trying to see what is going on. Hope breaks off all the small ropes holding the mat down before walking over to the other side of the ring post and doing the same on that side. Eventually, the ring mat is completely clean cut on two of it's sides. Hope then, still with the knife in hand, rolls back into the ring. Meanwhile Michaels has actually started to come up with a way to escape - he is slowly, and rather painfully, turning the steel buckle that holds the top ring rope together! Hope is utterly oblivious to it and is far too busy pulling all the padding from half the ring. Michaels keeps turning the steel buckle, whilst quickly checking that Hope has no idea about it. Hope has now torn away the thin padding that sits underneath an XWA canvas, exposing the wooden floor underneath. He stamps on it several times and it makes a large clunking nose that not to many are familiar with.

Cedar:
"This man is insane...now he wants to make it like the Underground match all over again!"

Miles:
"Well, you can't fault him really. I mean he won that after all..."

Michaels frantically turns away at the buckle, as Hope turns back round and still has the knife in his hand. Then, suddenly, the entire arena bursts into life with an out cry of cheers as Michaels manages to free himself out of the corner! The entire top rope he just unfastened falls to the floor, leaving two sides completely useless in that regard. The momentum sends him hurtling sideways into the ring and with quick thinking, he uses it to shoot his right foot into the air and smacks it directly into Hope's chin with the STS: Shattered Teeth Symphony (Superkick)! Hope hurtles to the floor, being the first man to slam into the exposed wooden floor as the fans can't believe their eyes! Michaels lands on his side, his blood now creating a little river along one of the wooden planks. Jack Hammer is quick to pick up the knife Hope had moments earlier and heads outside of the ring, taking a few moments to push it through one of the Cell holes in the wall. Some of the fans actually boo this...surely they didn't want to see someone actually stabbed?!

Cedar:
"STS! STS! SUPERKICK! SUPERKICK! MICHAELS BROKE FREE AND MY GOD DID HE CONNECT WITH HOPE!"

Miles:
"How in the hell?!"

Cedar:
"Michaels now rolling his arm over for the cover!"

Miles:
"NO!!"

As Hammer takes his time getting back in the ring after disposing of the knife, Michaels turns over and manages to place his right arm over Hope's lifeless chest.

2....................
SHOULDER UP!!!!!

The crowd can't believe it as Robert Hope pops his left shoulder up at the very last possible second! Michaels flops back onto his side and doesn't even bother arguing with the official, he's just flat out tired now. Hope begins to move around, holding his checking he still has some teeth left after that, while Michaels crawls over to the wrecked portion of the ring that now has no top rope. He pulls himself up, using the second rope and looks around, seeing the havoc that's been created in the ring thanks to Hope and, also, himself due to breaking the top turnbuckle! Michaels checks his neck, which has been still hurting him this entire time since Hope hit his finisher, before stumbling back over to Hope and reaching down. He grabs his sweat drenched hair and slowly raises him up, before laying a sweet right hand into the top of his head. Hope is rather out of it, still not recovering from the Superkick moments earlier and drops down to one knee. He pulls at Michaels tights, attempting to stay up, as Michaels pulls him up again and delivers another well placed right fist to his forehead. Hope drops to one knee again, as Michaels wraps his left arm over the top of his head and pulls him up a third time. Michaels then grabs Hope by the waist with his free right hand and pops his hips, lifting The Prophet up into the air and turning around on the spot, before slamming him spine first into the exposed wooden floor with a Falcon Arrow!

Cedar:
"OH MY! Robert Hope spine first into the exposed flooring! He didn't see that coming!"

Miles:
"God dammit', this Michaels is a slippery customer!"

The crowd roars in approval, as Hope slams into the hard wooden panels and immediately arches his back upwards, screaming out in agony. Michaels, as quick as he can, rolls over and loosely hooks the far leg.

1...........
2................
SHOULDER UP!

Hope manages to get his shoulder up at the last moment, whilst still screaming out in pain. Michaels sits up and wipes away some blood from his eyes, before looking round and wondering how to put Hope away. He then looks up to the cell ceiling above him and recalls what he did up there. So he gets back to his feet and slowly reaches down, pulling Hope up to his knees. After a clubbing shot to the back, Michaels places Hope's head in between his legs and pulls him further up. He then locks his arms around Hope's waist and brings his feet off the ground, standing on the wooden panels, looking to Piledrive him, once again, on the wood this time! The fans all flashes their camera phones looking to capture the sick move, but Hope manages to block it. Michaels clubs Hope's back several times over before going for the move a second time. Hope's feet wag around in the air, before he stomps them back down and uses the momentum to Back Body Drop Michaels right onto the wooden floor. The thud is enormous, as Michaels is now the one to arch his back out and scream in pain. Hope drops to his knees and holds his back, as he looks around to see David on the floor. Hope is now back up to one knee, as he watches Michaels roll around and attempting to get back up to. Hope loses patience and decides to grab Michaels, dragging him up by the root of his hair. He then takes his own right arm and places it under Michaels chin, grabbing on to his waist with his left and then pulls him up into the air, slamming up hard into the exposed wooden floor with a wicked Urinage! As the crowd can barely watch from the thought of the impact, Michaels loses his breath for a few seconds as Hope rolls over and hooks the far leg.

1............
2...............
SHOULDER UP!

Hope sits up as Michaels shoots his right arm up at the last moment. He thumps the exposed wood with his hand, furious that Michaels is kicking out here! He gives Jack Hammer a stern look, before getting back up to his feet. He looks around for a moment, before stopping all movement and that sick smile returns to his face. He then begins to taunt his opponent, begging him to get back up to his feet. As Michaels tries to do so, albeit in tremendous pain and still being barely able to see because of the blood, Hope walks over to the corner that has it's top rope in tact and climbs up to the top. He waits for Michaels to hobble round and then leaps off, looking for his Flying DDT move! But Hope misses him entirely as The Showstealer dodges out of the way and lets Hope smash into the exposed wooden floor! Michaels, meanwhile, drops to his knees from the pain, before forcing himself back up. He then looks around and sees Hope up to one knee, holding the base of his spine. Using what little energy he has left, Michaels charges across the ring and jumps into the air, bringing his right leg over the top of Hope's head and then buries it straight into the pine via the Fameasser! The crowd cheers, as Michaels manages to roll over and hooks both of Hope's legs!

1.....................
2.........................
SHOULDER UP!!!

Cedar:
"...THRE--NOOOO! HOPE KICKED OUT, MY GOD! How in the hell did Hope kick out of that?!"

Miles:
"He's a warrior! He's a true warrior, our hero...OUR KING! THAT'S HOW!!!"

Hope shoots out of the cover, at the last given moment, and Michaels can't believe this is still going on. He, rather pathetically, looks at the ref holding up three fingers before looking down at the wooden mat and shaking his head. He wipes away yet more blood from his face before slowly drawing himself back up to his feet. He then turns around and looks down at the slowly moving Hope in temper, before getting down to one knee and pulling his face up. Michaels then yells at him "YOU WANNA' PLAY?! YOU WANNA' GET XTREME?! YOU WANNA' MAKE THIS MORE HELLISH?! FINE. LETS DO IT THEN!" before slamming his face into the wooden floor. David Michaels then gets back up and walks over to the barbed wire bat from earlier and holds it up into the air, the delight of the watching fans. He then walks out of the ring and begins circling the ring, almost as though he's looking for something. Most of the fans are confused, but a few have already figured it out. Michaels stops and begins to smile as he finds what he is looking for - the lighter fluid that Hope pulled out of his bag earlier! The crowd all get to their feet, again, and watch on as this is something that Michaels usually does! He places the bat on the floor and on screw the top of the yellow bottle, before squirting it's flammable contents all over the bat's tip. Once the bottle is empty, he tosses it away and picks up the bat along with the lighter that was with the bottle. After several flicks of the lighter, a flame is finally drawn from it and he slowly draws the bat towards it. At this point, Robert Hope is back up on his knees in the middle of the ring and spots Michaels on the outside. His jaw widens, as the barded wire baseball bat ignites into a ball of fire. Michaels then looks past the fire straight at Hope, who begins slowly shaking his head. Michaels the slides into the ring, careful not to set the ring ropes on fire. Hope darts up to his feet and backs up, as Michaels gets back up to his and then charges across the ring, wielding the flamed bat like a mad man with an axe! Robert manages to trap himself in the corner, as Michaels comes towards him. He swings the bat over his head and goes to nail Hope...but, thankfully for him, Robert ducks underneath it and sprints across the ring and leaps over the broken top rope, heading for the door.

Cedar:
"My God, this is going WAY too far now! Michaels wants to burn Hope alive here...not that I can't say he doesn't deserve such a thing."

Miles:
"Really? Really, you're going to be that guy?! This moron is running around the ring with a damn BAT ON FIRE and because he's your golden boy, this criminal act is allllllllllll OK is it?!"

Cedar:
"DID I JUST SAY THAT?! NO, I DIDN'T! STOP TWISTING MY GOD DAMN WORDS! I JUST SAID IT WAS GOING TOO FAR, DAMMIT'!"

Miles:
"FINE! DON'T FUCKING YELL AT ME THOUGH, YOU FAT SHIT, OR I'LL SET YOUR FATASS ON FIRE INSTEAD!!!"

As Cedar and Miles get on like a house on fire (terrible pun) at the commentary booth, Hope has already figured out his escape plan - the bolt cutters from earlier! When Hope ducked under Michaels, the bat went straight into the top turnbuckle and got stuck. Michaels is now trying to set it free, as the to turnbuckle pad actually sets on fire! Whilst he's battling with that, Robert Hope has since got the bolt cutters from earlier and walks over to the door, cutting the large steel chain that is keeping the door locked. Michaels then gets the bat free and turns back around with it, spotting what Hope is up to. He wanders across, but it's too late, as Hope manages to break the chain and kicks the door open. He then shoves over Ryu Sanu on the outside and looks around, desperate to figure out the next part of this plan. He looks around and sees Michaels making his way out of the ring, with the barded wire fiery baseball bat still in hand...while Jack Hammer comically attempts to put out the fire on the top turnbuckle in the ring with his bare hands! Hope then, like many men before, him comes to the only logical assumption of how he's going to escape his opponent - climbing back up to the top of the cell! This stroke of 'genius' is well received by the fans and Hope heads up the right side of the cell next to the door. Michaels finally manages to make it to the outside and he looks up, seeing Hope on the side. Michaels then swings the bat towards him, only barely missing Hope's feet with the fiery stick of doom! Hope pulls himself up to the top of the cell in double time, as Michaels no figures how he's going to head after him with the bat. Michaels then takes a large swing of the bat and hits the cell wall, as high as he can...and the wire gets caught between the holes! The crowd cheers, as Michaels then begins climbing up the side of the cell after Hope, bat and all!

Cedar:
"This is unbelievable! They have already been up there once and it didn't end too well when they were, dammit'!"

Miles:
"Michaels is a freakin' mad man! Why isn't he being arrested for like arson or something?!"

Hope rolls onto the top of the cell and looks back down it's side, seeing Michaels after him. Hope isn't too sure what to do now and looks around, eventually spotting one of the steel chairs from earlier still there. Michaels gets half way up the cell and has to carefully pick up the fiery bat with his right hand and smashes it into another portion near the top, making sure it sticks. It does and he climbs up the second half of the cell. Hope closes the steel chair he picked up and twirls it around, holding it more of as a shield rather than a weapon, as he watches Michaels climb back up onto the top of the cell. Michaels then reaches over and picks up the baseball bat and turns around, the pair stood there facing the other preparing for a duel. The fire isn't only all over that bat, but in the eyes of both men, knowing that only one man is walking out of here tonight and the other will be on a stretcher. Their bodies are broken, their spirits long since shattered and their energy levels running on fumes. This is where it all ends. This is the beginning of the end for these two men. Both men stare at the other, before Hope begins to scream out "COME ON! YOU WANT TO END THIS, THEN END IT! RIGHT HERE. RIGHT NOW! BRING IT YOU PIECE OF SHIT!". David Michaels then swings the bat around and yells in reply "WITH PLEASURE!". With the fans just screaming out of sheer intensity right now, both men jog forwards as fast as they can on this uneven cell roof and swings their weapons, Michaels smashing the fiery bat into the steel chair that Hope holds up for protection. Michaels then raises the bat again and brings is crashing down a second time, but Hope manages to block it once more as the chair clunks from the impact. Hope then, rather sneakily, stomps on Michaels foot which unsettles him just for a precious moment. Hope then raises the chair above his head and swings it back down, cracking Michaels straight in the skull with it, denting the chair even further than it already was. Michaels then lets go of the bat and falls to the cell floor, as Hope raises the chair up for a second time and cracks it across Michaels spine. Michaels rolls over onto his back and yells out in pain, as Hope lets go of the chair and drops to his knees.

Cedar:
"Hope gets the upper hand once again. Michaels just can't ever be prepared for Hope's unexpected tactics here, even with a baseball bat in hand!"

Miles:
"Come on your Highness! You can do this!"

Robert then looks at the bat and gets back up, reaching down and picking it up. He stares at the flames, almost entranced by them, before looking at Michaels at smiling. He watches David slowly get back up to his feet and he ready and waiting for when he does. Michaels doesn't know what's about to happen, as he turns around and the fiery baseball bat is slugged right in his bloodied face! The shot is rather sickening, as Hope swung it like he was actually playing baseball and connected sweetly with the top of Michaels face! The Showstealer is jolted backwards several feet, leaping back from the shot like he was just shot several times. The crowd boo intently, as Hope holds the bat up into the air like a trophy for all to see. He then wanders over to the centre portion of the cell and gathers another one of the chairs from earlier, the one that wasn't entirely busted. He then grabs the second chair he was just using and sets them both out, facing the other, near the centre panel much like he did at the very start of the match. He gives them a hard thump, before turning back round and picking the fiery bat up again. He moves it just in front past the chairs and then head over to Michaels, who has been laying flat out on the cell roof ever since that shot. A cool shot from inside the cell shows Michaels face just looking down into the ring, clearly not knowing what's happening, as blood drips down onto the wooden floor below. Hope then holds onto Michaels blood ridden hair and drags him halfway up, pulling him across the cell and in front of the chairs. Hope then pulls him up completely and stands behind him, picking him up with his right arm in between his legs and placing him on his shoulders, in the Torture Rack position. He then holds onto the back of his head with his left arm and turns around. He then dumps Michaels head first into the steel floor, with his favourite Year of the Dragon (Spinning Burning Hammer) that Kanimaniac always used (they are the same person, right...? RIGHT?!). The crowd chant "THIS IS AWESOME!", despite Michaels nearly having his neck broken as he implants the steel. Hope isn't amused, however, as his idea was to put Michaels THROUGH the cell! The steel flooring actually does give away, somewhat, and some of the welded joins keeping it in place snap away...but it's not enough for Hope. So he settles for plan B, which he set up earlier.

Cedar:
"Hoe Michaels neck isn't snapped in two right now, I'm not sure...that was just horrible."

Miles:
"Hope doesn't look pleased though...he wants to kill this guy! HAHA!"

M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope Empty
PostSubject: Re: M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope   M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope EmptyFri Jun 27, 2014 12:32 pm

Hope wanders around the steels chairs and drags Michaels between them, letting him drop to the floor as he does. He then steps up onto the two chairs, which buckle underneath him as a few of the legs piece through the cell flooring. Hope holds his arms out either side and balances himself out, before slowly turning around and reaching down for Michaels head. He grabs his hair and then slowly draws him back up onto his shoulder in that Torture Rack position once more. The two men are now ridiculously high in the air and are completely unsafe, as the fans watch on in ore at this scene. Hope then slowly shuffles himself around and is intent on ending Michaels career, like Michaels promised for weeks he would do to Hope! Hope then screams out to the fans "THIS IS THE END!", which is met with an outcry of boos...only for Michaels to start moving around. Hope loses his grip and Michaels lands back on the cell roof and quickly turns and delivers a Low Blow straight to Hope's lower region! Hope turns around and leans over, holding the King of XWA's jewels in complete agony. A bloody David Michaels then picks up the fiery barbed wire baseball bat and draws himself up to his feet. He stares Hope dead in his eyes and replies to his statement saying "YOU'RE RIGHT, YOUR HIGHNESS!" and swings the bat up and over his head, cracking it straight into that of Hope's! The fans explode, as the shot makes Hope scream out in pain as blood begins to pour down from his now tingling face from the fire! Michaels then swings another shot, straight into Hope's chest which is met with another loud scream from Hope. Michaels then drops the bat and turns to his side, catching one last piece of eye contact with Hope...before side stepping forwards and sending his right foot high into the air and connecting with Shattered Teeth Symphony right in Hope's chin! The force sends Hope flying off the chairs and he slams into the cell roof, it completely giving way and The Prophet of XWA is sent tumbling down to the ring and smashes into it! The fans can't believe their eyes, as each and every person, follows the flying Robert Hope as he smashes into the exposed wooden below. The fall is that great, part of the wood in the centre of the ring shatters and Hope is laid way below where the ring surface is MEANT to be! The largest "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!" chant of the night, and perhaps the entire year, breaks out around the arena and is that strong, it sticks around for an entire minute or so. Michaels lays on the top of the cell, looking down through it, not quite believing what he just did. Jack Hammer and Ryu Sanu race to the scene, legitimately worried that Robert Hope may actually be dead here.

Cedar:
"Oh. My God....Oh. My. GOD...OH MY GOD!! ROBERT HOPE JUST SENT STRAIGHT TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL!! THAT'S IT....THAT'S IT, HE HAS TO BE DEAD!!"

Miles:
"Holy shit...what th---I can't believe what I'm seeing! He's done. This is done. Seriously, someone call an ambulance..."

Cedar:
"THE RING BROKE AS HOPE TAKES A FALL FROM TWENTY FEET IN THE DAMN AIR FROM THE TOP OF THE CELL!"

Miles:
"This is awful...I think he's done, Cedar..."

Michaels pulls himself over to the edge of the hole that's now in the cell's roof, as the broken panel swings around below him. Medical staff and other XWA officials are now racing inside the cell, as Hope looks to be a critical condition here. Needless to say, he hasn't moved a muscle since taking that fall. As the fans begin to now cheer for Michaels, he slowly crawls over to the side of the cell and begins to climb down, which is a struggle in itself with the condition he is in. Referees and medical staff begin to see to Hope, checking he's actually breathing, which he is...thankfully, as Michaels nears himself back towards more familiar, and safer, ground known as Earth. AS he gets to the bottom, he collapses to the floor and lays there as a small pool of blood is formed from his face. A stretcher has now been brought into the ring and clearly Hope is not going to be competing any longer. His right arm begins to slowly move around, perhaps indicating there is now sign of nerve damage or anything long term, while Michaels pulls himself up on the outside and begins to walk back into the cell. He clambers up onto the ring apron and is immediately met by several backstage workers and referees, telling him to just leave this now. Michaels rather weakly attempts to get by them, but he hasn't the strength for it. He looks over their shoulders and sees that Hope is finished, which is more than enough for him, and eventually backs off leaning in on the one corner that isn't broken. The medical team then begin to pull Hope out of the hole in the ring and slowly start to place him on the stretcher. To everyone's amazement, including Michaels, the shady son of a bitch refuses to go on the stretcher and struggles to push it away as he lies on his back. Hope leans on his right side and through his bloodied eyes he sees David Michaels battered and bruised, looking on in the corner. Even though Michaels isn't looking smug in the slightest, just him being there triggers something in Hope and he starts shouting out noises towards him, few of which actually make the form of words.

Cedar:
"Are you kidding me?! He's getting back up! Hope, the crazy SOB, is getting back up!"

Miles:
"This is unreal, Cedar!"

Hope, using a couple of referee, drags himself back to his feet and starts spitting out blood in Michaels direction before yelling out a massive "FUCK YOU!" towards his opponent. Michaels stands out of the corner, but chooses to ignore it as this has gone too far now. Hope yells those two words at him once again, before ultimately crossing the line "FUCK YOU...YOU'RE WIFE IS STILL A WHORE!". The fans give off the dramatic "OHHHHH!" as Michaels closes his eyes and grits his teeth. He then shoves the refs holding him back out of the way and side steps in, with every bit of anger that has been built up inside him for the past two months and connects with another Shattered Teeth Symphony to Robert Hope! Hope's head cracks back, with sweat, spit and perhaps even a tooth all flying from his face! Hope collapses to the floor, bringing a couple of the refs with him as he is now completely unconscious. Michaels then drops to his knees and hooks Hope's far leg, as the match official, Jack Hammer, looks at him with astonishment. Michaels simply yells out "COUNT!" several times over, as Hammer doesn't even want to do it as this match is clearly over as it was. Michaels demands it, as that blood continues to pour out of his face. Jack Hammer decides to count, just wanting this contest officially over, as the fans all join in.

DING...DING...DING!!!

Watts:
"Here is your winner...The Showstealer...DAVIDDDDD MICHAELSSSSSSS!!!"

Cedar:
"Thanks GOD it's over...Thank GOD it's over. That, was unbelievable. Those two men would stop at nothing in order to end the other. Those two men will never be the same again."

Miles:
"God DAMMIT' that SOB wins again...I'm getting tired of this. Hope was meant to END THIS MAN FOR GOOD and now the fucker has won. I give up, Cedar, I truly do..."

Michaels slams Hope's leg in the exposed wood, as he lets go of the pin and his music begins playing in the background. The officials and medical team all then quickly force Michaels out of the way, as he gets back to his feet. Michaels isn't interested in doing anything else now, as he leans on the top turnbuckle nursing his wounds. Hope is not unconscious and the medical team begins to slowly check his neck is alright now, as they try to get him on a stretcher. Jack Hammer and several other officials inform Michaels to get out of the ring. Michaels looks at them and slowly nods his head, climbing out through the ropes and slowly wanders through the open cell door. The fans all cheers and applaud, not only him, but for Hope as well as they both put on a tremendous showing here tonight. Michaels holds the top of his head, which has taken most of the beating from Hope throughout the match, as he walks backwards up the entrance ramp, barely able to walk. He has lost that much blood, he falls over half way up the ramp the lays on his back, clearly in need of medical attention. The fans then cheers, as the woman that has been at the centre of all this chaos for the past several months, Mary-Jane Williams aka Sugar...Michaels' wife...jogs out from the back and helps her husband to sit up. In a rather touching moment, she takes the bottom of the top and wipes away some of the blood from his face and gives him a kiss. Michaels then hugs her, as he sits up and looks back in the ring, as Robert Hope is helped onto a stretcher. However, once more, the King of the XWA refuses to get on one and shoves it away. He then looks up and stares Michaels dead in the eye, before simply raising his right hand up as much as his body will allow...and sticking him middle finger up towards him. The fans cheers, as even Michaels cracks a very light smile and begins shaking his head. Sugar helps Michaels up, as the rest of D-Volution comes from the back. JHalc checks his buddy is OK, before Carnage uses his giant structure to help Michaels to the back. Robert Hope slowly follows, as those two men put on the rivalry of a lifetime and it all came to an end here at the Big Ass American Bash...

Cedar:
"Wow...just simply...wow! What on Earth can you say about that?"

Miles:
"The only words I have right now are 'holy fucking shit balls of a bad burrito". I've never seen anything like that in my life!"

Cedar:
"That is one way to put it...that was truly intense and incredibly insane. But guess what, Joey?"

Miles:
"WHAT?!"

Cedar:
"We're not even done yet!"

Miles:
"HOLY ASSBALLS BATMAN, YOU'RE RIGHT! Good luck getting that mess to look anything like a ring again..."

Cedar:
"With got the XWA World Heavyweight Title to be decided and it's up next, but first it looks as though we'll be getting a word from one of the challengers here tonight who may very well walk out of this Pay Per View...with three, yes THREE titles to his name..."

Miles:
"Urgh, this glory hog..."

The show then cuts to the backstage area, as we are left with a shot of the completely destroyed XWA ring as workers begin to fix it for the main event tonight.

----

Word count, from bell to bell: 8314. I know we agreed on 7000, Kani, but I kind of went over. Sorry man.

M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope Empty
PostSubject: Re: M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope   M8 | David Michaels vs. Robert Hope EmptySat Jun 28, 2014 9:17 pm

DING DING DING!

Immediately, Hope and Michaels charge at each other, and fall to the mat in a vicious tangle, with Michaels managing to get himself on top. Michaels throws quick right and left hands to the face of Hope, almost bouncing his head off the mat with each strike. Hope puts his dukes up, trying to stop the onslaught, but The Showstealer is relentless with his attack. Michaels throws both fists into the face of Hope, as if he's trying to beat out a fire on his face, and each blow prompts Hope to cry out in pain. The surprise of Michaels' all-out attack causes Hope to attempt to cover up and protect himself. Eventually, he manages to get onto his hands and knees, with Michaels on his back, still swinging fists at Hope's head, this time in brutal cross face swings. The referee can do nothing about it but watch and try to make sure that the two don't kill each other. After a short time of punching, Michaels pulls back his taped up fist to find that it has already been painted red by blood, seeping from that fresh wound on Hope's head from their encounter at Vendetta. David stalls for a moment, looking down on Hope as he covers his face, though he is already too late in protecting himself. Michaels stands up and allows Robert to crawl away, holding his face, almost trying to stop the blood flow. The Manchester native follows The Prophet closely, cornering him against the turnbuckles.

|Cedar| “Holy cow! Just a few minutes in, and Hope is already busted open from that wound he endured back on Vendetta! This match has just begun, and it's already gruesome!”

|Miles| “Come on, your Highness! Behead this peasant!”

Hope tries to wipe the blood out of one of his eyes, and doesn't have chance to stop a myriad of boots raining in on his chest from an enraged David Michaels, who has little time or patience for Hope taking any breaks. Michaels then plants his foot into the throat of The Prophet, allowing just a few gargled groans to escape from his mouth as he is punished by his arch-nemesis. Michaels doesn't stop there, though. Apparently sick of hearing noises spew out of his opponent, he plants his boot into the mouth of Hope and pushes into it hard, putting immense pressure on the teeth and jaw of The Prophet, who can only claw at Michaels' leg and kick his feet, the discomfort of the action causing him to panic a little. Eventually, though, Michaels relents and allows Hope to catch his breath. The Prophet desperately rolls out of the ring and tries to walk away, only to bump into the cell, giving him a subtle reminded of the match he's in. Hope leans against the hard steel mesh, trying his best to quell the seeping blood from his wound. Michaels quickly makes his way to the ropes and rolls under them, then immediately ducks under the apron to introduce a weapon at this very early stage of the match.

|Cedar| “Well folks, we knew this match would be brutal, but we didn't know that we were going to get weapons so soon!”

The Showstealer is rummaging under the ring like a man possessed, which gives Hope a chance to attempt a sneak attack. At least that's the plan. Michaels, however, has other plans. Just as Hope approaches, Michaels casts his arm, which is now holding a kendo stick, out to his side. He catches Hope in the thigh with the biting weapon, causing him to wince in pain and step back away from his attacker. He doesn't have long before he is ducking out of the way of a wild swing to the head, which connects with a sharp crack with the mesh. Robert, like a rabbit being set upon by a rabid dog, does his best to retreat from Michaels, who is now furiously swinging the cane at his body, but finding fresh air or mesh for his efforts. The crowd egg Michaels on more and more, much to the chagrin of Hope, who is just doing his best to not be filleted alive by the thin pieces of wood that are bound together on the stick. Each tantalising crack spurs Hope on to ensure that his head is not on the receiving end of one of those brutal strikes. Eventually, The Prophet decides it best to retreat into the ring, in an attempt to catch Michaels as he is sliding in. However, he doesn't count on the fact that Michaels is wise to this, instead opting to stand off and protect himself from a beating as he attempts to slide in. Rather, Michaels slowly bends down to lift the apron again, which causes Hope to grow a confused look on his face. Instead of following up on his attack, Michaels is looking under the ring, and taking his sweet time in doing so. The Prophet, like a cagey, rabid dog, takes the opportunity to charge at his opponent, attempting to kick him into the cell wall with a baseball slide. However, Michaels manages to outsmart the twisted preacher, lifting the wire that hangs the apron over the side of the ring, causing Hope to slide through that and get tangled in it. While Hope is, in effect, pinned to the apron, Michaels pops back up and begins to absolutely decimate The Prophet with hard shots with the kendo stick, around the head and shoulders, with Hope unable to move away from them due to the apron wire.

|Miles| “COME ON! That is a FLAGRANT abuse of the ring area!”

|Cedar| “Doesn't matter, Joey! There's no disqualifications! Light him up, Showstealer!”

|Miles| “Ref! Get your finger out of your ass and stamp some goddamn authority, for the LOVE of God!”

Hope has no choice but to take the punishment from the stick, feebly using his arms to protect his face, but having his midsection tanned like the hide of a cow. Michaels eventually finds himself holding a splintered remnant of what was once a weapon, then opts to toss it over the ring to the opposite cell wall. Hope curls up into a ball beneath the apron, finally managing to slip free from it's hold, as his ribs sting with a hot, uncomfortable tingle. The Showstopper isn't about to give him a chance to rest, though. Not after the hell that Hope has put him through over the past couple of months. David fishes under the apron, eventually finding a handful of Robert Hope's hair and pulling him out from under the relative safety of the ring. Hope grunts with discomfort from being dragged around by his attacker, and soon has another reason to grunt as he is tossed face first into the steel mesh, his body bouncing off the cage like he was made of rubber, and the impact sending him to the deck. The Showstealer is making it abundantly clear that he is not here to mess around tonight. He grabs Hope by the tights with one hand, and the back of his hair with the other, then drags him over to the cell wall again, this time pushing his head right into the interlocked mesh, and grating his head like it was a block of cheese. The camera gets a close-up view of Hope's anguished face, in a scene not dissimilar to the closing moments of Vendetta. Blood trickles out of Hope's head and over the steel of the cell, as Michaels paints it red with Hope's blood. After some piercing squeals of pain from his opponent, Michaels spins Hope around and then bounces the back of his head off the cage wall, causing Hope to drop to the floor once again.

|Crowd| “LET'S GO MICHAELS!” *clap clap clapclapclap*

|Cedar| “Listen to these fans, flooding the air with support for The Showstealer, as he exorcises this demon in the ring tonight. The fans know how much this match means to Michaels, and it means a hell of a lot to them, too. For months, they've heard him taunt them, saying that he ended the career of one of their heroes, as well as the general, poisonous drivel and vitriol that he has spewed their way, too.”

|Miles| “These idiots don't know anything. Hope is trying to steer people away from this hive mind, and there you go, encouraging this blind hatred. You're a fucking disgrace.”

The Showstealer grabs the cage and shakes it like a caged animal, which only serves to pump up the fans in attendance, and return that energy to Michaels himself. He turns to see Hope using the steps to push himself up to his feet, his face already bloodied in this very early stage of the match. The Showstealer approaches The Prophet, and grabs his hair once again to pull Hope where he wants him. Michaels pulls Hope towards the ring apron and pushes him under the rope, then dropping down to grab something else from under the ring apron. The Prophet crawls away from Michaels, desperately trying to get a reprieve from his beatings as he leaves a speckled trail of blood behind him. David eventually pulls out a trash can, a steel bar and a steel chair. Hope narrowly avoids the flying objects, perhaps intentionally launched towards him by his rival, who really does not care if Hope catches an object in the eye. The Prophet pulls himself up using the ropes, his face now coated in a thin layer of blood, and staggers towards the trash can that has been thrown in. Michaels urgently rolls into the ring, picking up the steel bar in the process. He wastes no time in swinging the bar at The Prophet, who desperately tries to block it with the can. He holds it up in front of the bar, only to see it crumpled in half by the bar, prompting a rather stunned look on Hope's face. Michaels doesn't relent, though, and swings the bar at The Prophet again, this time knocking it out of his hands and to the mat. The bar is then swung like a baseball bat towards the head of Hope, almost clipping his skull were it not for Robert ducking down out of the way of the frantic Showstealer. Eventually, Hope reacts just a little bit too slow, and catches a shot right to the knee with the steel pipe. He falls to the mat in a pile, as Michaels begins to swing the pipe at the leg, hoping to perhaps weaken it for the Break a Leg submission hold (a hold that could well be given a quite literal name tonight).

|Cedar| “David Michaels is a man possessed tonight, folks! ”

**Hope, now feeling the momentum swing in his favour, and ignoring the fuzziness in his head from the brutality of the match so far, approaches Michaels as he rests across the ring steps. Hope turns himself towards the apron as he comes within feet of Michaels, and searches for a weapon from his duffle bag that he had stashed away. After a short time, he pulls a tangled length of barbed wire from the crowded bag, quickly pulling one of his hands back from the bite of the barbs. He holds it like a newborn for a second, then marches towards Michaels with a purpose. As Michaels is just starting to pull himself up, The Prophet takes the wire across his forehead and pulls it tight, squeezing the barbs into the head of Michaels, like some sort of grim headband. The barbs relentlessly push into the skin of Michaels as he howls in pain at the unspeakable and inhuman showing of brutality. Hope violently tugs at the two ends in his hands, as Michaels can only claw at the wire and attempt to pull it out of his skin. The crowd immediately bombard Hope with a myriad of jeers and unflattering remarks, but it doesn't lessen Hope's resolve to hurt Michaels. After a few moments, the referee takes it upon himself to attempt to pull Hope away, only to find himself providing more leverage to the act. The referee, realising his mistake, immediately lets go. Hope decides that it's time to move on, and so, releases his grip on the ends of the wire. There is a universal cry of horror from the fans at the sight they see next.

|Cedar| “OH MY...THAT'S...”

|Miles| “Oh shit, I think I'm going to throw up!”

The barbed wire does not move from Michaels' head. He reaches for his forehead in a reflexive act to protect the wound, but is greeted by the length of barbed wire still sticking in his skin. The crowd are in shock and a state of revulsion, and Hope simply grins from ear to ear a sick, uncaring, inhuman grin. As he watches Michaels tenderly try to remove the barbs from his skin, his face etched in pain and heightened concern, Hope rushes up behind him and drops him with a bulldog onto the steps, almost spurring the crowd into a near riot. The barbed wire, which was already clinging to Michaels, gets driven into the wounds further as Michaels' head bounces off the steel. The referee, trying to hold down his stomach contents, quickly rushes over to Michaels, who is shaking from the shock of the impact and the barbed wire.

|Cedar| “This is just inhuman! How the hell are people supposed to fight like this? This match is just barbaric in the most extreme sense. And Hope doesn't give a damn! That heartless, soul-less bastard!”

The ref fumbles a pair of medical gloves, and gently tries to assist Michaels in removing the barbs, two of which remain in Michaels' skin. The rest have been shaken free from the bulldog, thankfully for The Showstealer. Hope pulls himself up to his feet via the cage wall, pushing his head into it as he stands in an attempt to cope with the pain in his lower back from the impact on the steps. Eventually, the referee manages to pull the barbed wire free from Michaels' face and hair, then throws it aside, before checking on his wellbeing. For his efforts, he receives a palm in the face from a bloodied Michaels, pushing him out of the way as The Showstealer attempts to get to his feet, possibly not entirely aware of his surroundings just yet. Hope staggers away from the cell wall and slowly turns back to Michaels, who he could have easily blinded with that reckless move. The Prophet pulls himself the mesh, using it to keep his balance, then grabs Michaels by the hair and drags him up to his feet. Hope then lifts Michaels up on to his shoulder in a back suplex, then drops him spine first into the hard ring apron, causing his charismatic enemy to bounce off the ring and to the floor once more, the blood gently trickling from the wounds inflicted by the barbed wire. The Prophet, who is bloodied himself, almost trips over Michaels' downed body as he tries to manoeuvre past him and to the apron once again!

|Cedar| “Oh, now what? Hasn't he done enough to this poor man already?”

|Miles| “Cedar, he said it himself. It'll be enough when his highness says it's enough. Don't try to interfere with the king's justice again. You'll just end up being embarrassed again.”

After a short time, Hope returns from under the apron with a table, prompting a reluctant cheer from the crowd, who always love seeing tables. Even with the restricted area between the cell and the ring, Hope manages to prop the table up against the cell wall, making sure it isn't going anywhere in a hurry. The Prophet turns back to Michaels, who is now on his knees, holding his back. Robert scoops him up and pushes him into the ring, then quickly follows him under the rope. The Prophet pulls himself up to his feet, looking out at the table, then back to his injured opponent, then makes his way over to The Showstealer. He grabs him by the hair and drags him towards the ropes where the table is, then lifts Michaels to his feet. With no regard for his opponent's wellbeing, Hope hoists Michaels up onto his shoulders. He looks like he is intending to slam Michaels through the table on the outside, but encounters some resistance from The Showstealer, who kicks his legs and flails his arms to attempt to escape from Hope's clutches. Michaels manages to wrangle himself off the shoulders of Hope, and drop behind him. He spins his opponent around, and backs him off into the ropes with a hard knife edge shot to the chest. Though his own blood is stinging his eyes relentlessly, Michaels fights and fights to back Hope off. He Showstealer then whips Hope off the ropes to the other side of the ring with a fair bit of velocity. Robert returns to David at some speed, and has miliseconds to avoid being backdropped into the table that is standing against the mesh. Just as Michaels bends down to throw Hope, Robert manages to connect with a kick right to the face of his opponent, sending him to the ropes again. Michaels holds his nose, seemingly in a lot of pain from the unexpected strike. Hope takes the opportunity to charge at Michaels, looking for a clothesline. Unfortunately for Hope, he doesn't find Michaels at all. He is swiftly sidestepped and tossed over the ropes to await a cushioned landing of a hard wooden table, which explodes upon impact!

|Crowd| “HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!”

|Cedar| “OH MAN! DOWN GOES HOPE! DOWN GOES HOPE! What a move from Michaels, sending Robert Hope to his own doom!”

Michaels, bloodied from Hope's brutal attacks, looks to get himself back into the flow of the match and capitalise on The Prophet's miscalculation. As he lays in a pile on the outside of the ring, Michaels drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring, making sure to take the chair with him. He lifts the chair up over his head and brings it down on the spine of the twisted Prophet, forcing a shrill howl of pain out of his body from the blunt force of the strike. He squirms on the floor, balling his fists tightly and gritting his teeth, almost to the point of them shattering on themselves, as Michaels unfolds the chair and places it in front of Hope. The Showstealer walks back away from the chair, waiting for his pained opponent to get to his feet, carefully observing Hope's hands grab on to the mesh and pull himself up to his feet. Just as Hope turns around to rest on the mesh, Michaels runs and leaps off the chair, connecting with a high velocity, high impact flying forearm smash, which causes both men to collide with the mesh and rip it from the frame partly. Hope flops down from the impact, as does Michaels himself, though he is considerably better off than The Prophet. Robert sits slouched down against the mesh, holding his jaw and the back of his head from the crushing it received, care of Michaels' forearm, and his bodyweight travelling at high speed behind said forearm. Michaels manages to push himself up, though he has a little bit of trouble as the mesh gives way under his weight a little. He turns and notices this, and hatches another plan to brutalise his enemy further. Without pausing for thought, the grotesquely bloody Michaels picks Hope up roughly, forcing him to get his balance. Then, he hooks his arms around Hope's lower abdomen, and flings him as hard as he can into the mesh, causing it to shudder, then collapse under Hope's weight, and he spills to the floor outside of the cell through a gap between the mesh and the frame of the cell!

|Miles| “Holy shit! The King has just been thrown through the cell! That's not fair!”

Hope lands in a pile outside the ring, and all around him, fans cheer for his demise. Michaels props himself up against one of the beams that supports the mesh of the cell, before forcing himself to his feet once more, and reaching under the ring yet again. This time, the crowd cheer loudly as Michaels pulls out a set of steel ladders! Obviously not content with just the cell, it appears as though Michaels wants a set of ladders to climb too. He roughly pulls the ladders out, then uses them to break down a bigger gap in the cell wall, then throws the ladders through the gap and on to the downed Robert Hope, who grunts in pain. The Showstealer pushes his way through the mesh, almost falling through the gap in the process. He then drops a hard boot into the chest of Hope, who is still under the ladder, before lifting the ladder up and slamming it hard down onto his enemy's body, prompting another yell of pain. Michaels places the ladder down on the floor outside, then opens it to place the body of Hope between it. The crowd begins to cheer wildly, as Michaels looks around to them, showboating for them a little bit, before slamming the ladders shut again and again, sandwiching The Prophet with hard, swift slams, crushing him with the steel steps. Hope can barely defend himself, only managing to place his arms over his chest and attempt to keep his face away from the rungs as his body is racked with pain. Michaels stops his assault, allowing Hope to gain some reprieve, but apparently only for a little while, as he leaps up and stomps down on the ladder, jamming Hope in the ladder one final time to a rapturous response from the crowd.

|Cedar| “Good lord! Michaels looks like he's trying to completely flatten Hope between those ladders! I can't say I'll lose any sleep over it, personally.”

The Showstealer then makes his way over to the ringside area, where he picks up a couple of chairs, one in each hand. He notices Hope attempting to free himself from the clutches of the ladders, so makes sure that he's not going anywhere by walking over them and putting all of his weight directly onto the body of Hope, who screams out in pain. Michaels sets one chair aside for the moment, and takes his time to measure up a shot with the one he has in his hands. He looks down at his trapped opponent with disgust.

|Michaels| “You...you piece of trash. I can't WAIT to rid this company of your hate-filled body. I...heh...I hope you like hot places...because I'm sending your ass...to HELL!”

With that, Michaels holds the chair above his head, with the intention to bring it down into the chest of Hope through the rungs of the ladder. Michaels holds the chair high above his head in two hands, angling the top of it down towards Hope, but suddenly loses his footing as Hope begins to push up against him. The Showstealer teeters on the sides of the ladder, but has his foot fall through just as Hope takes the opportunity to squirm out from between the ladders, his survival instinct kicking in in a big way. Michaels lands uncomfortably with one of his feet tangled in the ladder, which steals his attention away just long enough for Hope to throw himself at David in a last ditch attempt to stop his freight train of momentum. Michaels falls to his side, and suddenly lets out a loud yelp of pain, as his ankle twists in the ladder. The bloodied Hope falls to the floor beside him, looking at his blight through half-conscious, pain-ridden eyes. Michaels struggles to free his boot from the rung of the ladder, with each second of him being trapped there putting more and more pressure on his ankle.

|Cedar| “Oh no. Michaels is stuck in that ladder! This is bad, bad news!”

|Miles| “I hope he breaks his ankle. That'll teach him for trying to cripple the King like that!”

|Cedar| “Michaels cripple Hope?! What kind of ridiculous selective memory do you have?!”

Michaels manages to get back to his feet, as Hope makes his way to the foot of the ladder on his hands and knees. The Showstealer manages to open up the ladders just enough to free himself, but fails to notice that Hope is now holding the bottom rung of said ladder. Michaels snaps his head over to Hope, just in time to see him swing the side of the ladder upwards, driving one of the legs into the groin of Michaels! The crowd let out a sympathetic “OOOH!” as they watch Michaels crumble down to his knees from that brutal shot to his groin from the quick thinking Hope. The crowd don't see it that way, however. Instead, they're rather disgusted that Hope resorted to a cheap shot with the ladder. He doesn't really give too much credence to the opinions of the fans, however, instead opting to continue plotting an evil scheme to inflict even more damage to his opponent. He turns his attention to the announcer's desk, stripping it off the decorative, protective cover, then the monitors.

|Cedar| “Hey, this is our table. You can't...”

Hope, not willing to listen to a lecture from Cedar, spits a bloody glob of saliva onto his shirt and simply hoists the last monitor free of it's cables, causing a spark and a brief puff of smoke as he does. He then measures Michaels, who is now only just getting to his feet again. The Prophet waits for Michaels to turn around, before levelling him with a brutal shot to the head with the monitor, sending The Showstealer crashing to the floor in a pile of human body parts. The sick thud causes both of the announcers to look away, almost being able to feel the crack of Michaels' skull as it met with metal and glass. The uncomfortable collision prompts the crowd to let out a collective gasp of shock and disgust at Hope's actions, but again, they fall on deaf ears. Instead, Hope throws the monitor down and takes a moment to rest himself while leaning against the steel mesh of the cell. He looks down at his fallen enemy with an unspoken disgust, mixed with a sickening satisfaction for all the pain that he has inflicted on him. The only thing left is to pin Michaels...

Or is it?

Hope looks up to the top of the cell, with a wicked smile on his face. He looks back to Michaels, who is simply a bloody mess on the floor. Groggily, Hope staggers over to Michaels and lifts him up to his feet, before violently tossing him into the steel mesh. Michaels flops to the floor, and Hope takes it upon himself to talk some trash, challenging Michaels to meet him at the top. Michaels simply lays on the floor, puffing breath out through his lips. Hope steps on his body and uses it to start off his climb up the side of the cell.

|Cedar| “Now he's challenged a nearly concussed man to climb a cell after him. This guy is just something else...”

Hope, still groggy from the beating he has taken, perilously climbs the cell wall, almost falling on a few occasions. After a few tense minutes, he manages to pull himself to the top, before scurrying away from the edge slightly and looking down at Michaels through the mesh. The Showstealer is now on his knees, and a little disorientated. He manages to pinpoint Hope's voice relentlessly taunting him to reach the top and fight him like a man. Michaels, with the heart of a lion, endeavours to pull himself up the cell wall, forcing his unsteady feet and hands to coordinate themselves to move his bloodied body up the cell. He slips half way up, almost falling to the floor, if not for his hands clinging to the cell for dear life. Hope takes a moment to cackle at his attempts to climb, which only servers to spur Michaels on even more. Eventually, Michaels gets to within arm's reach of Hope, who violently tugs him up to the cell roof, and promptly attempts to throw him off again! The crowd gasps in shock and anticipation of seeing a firm fan favourite plummet to just an announcer's table at the bottom of the cell. Michaels, perhaps only operating on a shred of consciousness, manages to stop himself and tackle Hope further into the centre of the roof.

The cell buckles under their weight, but neither man really realises it. They stand on unsteady feet on an even less steady surface. It is eventually Michaels who breaks the deadlock, tagging Hope with a right hand, knocking The Prophet down and causing Michaels to drop to the mesh. Robert falls to his hands and knees, groggily crawling around a little, before slowly working his way up to his feet again. Michaels does the same, only to be dropped with a right hand from Hope, which causes him to fall with Michaels. The Showstealer rolls on to his back, looking up to the lights as the audience start to chant his name to encourage him. Hope pushes himself up to his knees, trying his best not to pass out from pain, and groggily begins to crawl over to Michaels, who has now sat up and is trying to motivate himself to get up to his feet. When The Prophet gets close to him, he swings another right towards him, and causes Hope to collapse under his own weight, his blood trickling down onto the mesh and through onto the mat below both men. Michaels pushes himself up to his feet and grabs hold of Hope's hair, hoisting him up with him. The incredibly labouring match has both men running on fumes, but Michaels fully intends to continue pushing on, just as Hope does. The Showstealer manages to pick Hope up to his feet, then hooks him under his legs in what looks to be a piledriver attempt on the top of the cell! Michaels struggles to lift The Prophet, with the blood loss endured in this match taking it's toll on his coordiation. Nevertheless, he manages to lift Hope off the mesh long enough to drop him with a rather haphazard piledriver, which bows the steel mesh in a dangerous way, causing it to strain against it's constraints to the frame of the cell. Michaels simply flops back on to the mesh, feeling the energy in his body dissipating with each move he pulls off. He feels like it's most definitely the time to start thinking about actually pinning Hope, rather than beat the hell out of him for all of eternity. He groggily sits up again to see Hope lying flat out next to him, not moving. It takes a moment, but Michaels finally gets up to his feet, trying to figure out just how he's going to get The Prophet back into the ring to cover him. Suddenly, he looks down to the mesh on the cell. He notices it giving way slightly, then watches Hope as he slowly attempts to roll away from him.

|Cedar| “Wait a minute, he can't be thinking...”

Without hesitation, Michaels picks Hope up yet again, this time hooking him into a suplex position, but facing the gap that is emerging in the mesh.

|Cedar| “...no...no, come on. You can't, David. I know he's...”

Michaels lifts Hope up, and spins him mid-air for a Falcon Arrow attempt. He holds him in the air briefly, and both men teeter slightly, both on the verge of falling to their doom.

|Miles| “No, don't you do it, Michaels. That man is royalty!”

Just as Michaels attempts to drop Hope to the mesh, there is a sudden burst of green from between them. Michaels drops Hope, and he only just manages to land on his feet. Michaels, however, is staggering around like a drunk, wiping his eyes furiously as he tries to get green mist out of them!

|Cedar| “That dirty son of a bitch did it again! I can't believe this!”

Seizing the moment, Hope hooks Michaels up onto his shoulders in a Burning Hammer position...

|Cedar| “Oh my God.”

Hope begins to furiously spin Michaels around, while Michaels attempts vainly to regain his eyesight. On the 3rd revolution, Hope drops Michaels to the mesh, without hesitation. They both collide with the steel, then fall 20 feet as the framing bends and the mesh tears from it's fittings. Both men crash to the mat with a sickening thud, prompting the fans in the arena, and the referee, to jump back in utter shock. The referee drops to his knees in utter disbelief at what has just happened, with thought creeping into his mind of this being a potentially disastrous event to happen here tonight.

|Cedar| “OH GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! MICHAELS AND HOPE HAVE FALLEN 20 FEET TO THE MAT!”

In the midst of the collision with the mat, the referee notices that Hope's arm is draped over the chest of Michaels, who has found himself on his back. The referee runs into position for the count.

|Referee| “1! 2! 3!”

DING DING DING!

_______________

Note: I'm reasonably happy with this, but it's not what I wanted it to be. No excuses, I just didn't have the ideas, and I ran out of time due to having some personal stuff to sort out, unfortunately. With that being said, there was no way in hell I was just going to end up no showing this match.

I am very happy to read such a great match from Chilly, though. One of the best I've ever read, in all honesty. Sorry I couldn't offer something more well rounded, mate.
