M8.) Danny Diamond vs. Axel Anvil | Singles Match

The match starts off with Axel going in for the Collar-and-Elbow Tie-Up, when Danny ducks under it and pops up behind his big adversary. Axel spins around and goes to punch him, but Danny ducks under it and transitions to his big opponent's side, this time punching him in the mid-section. Diamond continues dodging the bigger, slower man's attacks and landing strikes that don't do nearly as much damage as Axel's would, but that build up over time. Eventually, Axel has enough of Danny's shit and wildly swings his arm, managing to connect with a powerful Clothesline that just drops the Englishman. The audience boos as Danny's head hits the canvas. Axel lifts him back to his feet before hoisting him in the air, ala Military Press, and then running towards the ropes, looking to throw his opponent all the way to the outside of the ring, but Danny quickly slides down behind Axel's back, before Dropkicking him in the back and sending him stumbling through the ropes and hitting the floor outside of the ring. "The Prized Gem" waits for Axel to get up and, by the time he's nearing his feet, he runs in the opposite direction, ricocheting off of the ropes and returning towards Axel before leaping through the middle and top ropes, putting his arms to his sides and stiffening his body, crashing head-to-chest into Axel with a bullet-like no-handed Suicide Dive, that pushes Axel back-first into the commentary table.

Danny immediately continues going after Axel, landing wild punches all over his head. He takes a break to yell out loud for the audience, whom respond with cheers for the charming Englishman. Turning his attention back to Axel, Danny finds himself being grabbed by the throat. Axel gets back to his feet, still holding onto Danny's throat, but Diamond fights out in the best way he can, by stomping on his opponent's foot, causing him to let go! He quickly runs back over to the ring, sliding in and getting back to his feet whilst urging for Axel to get back in for more of a fight. Axel gets on the apron and then enters the ring, Danny allowing him to enter without going after him, but the second Axel's second foot touches the canvas, Diamond is on him like white on rice. He strikes Axel all over, but the big man quickly pushes him back. The impact of the shove causes Danny to flop onto his back, but he immediately flips backwards onto his feet and runs back at Axel, continuing the onslaught. Again Axel shoves him away. Danny runs back at him once more, but this time he receives a Big Boot right to the face to stop him from landing any shots. Axel goes for the first cover of the match up, but it's a kickout just at one and a half.

Anvil calls for the end, signaling for the Darkness Drop, a Death Valley Driver that has put away many men in the past. He pulls Danny back to his feet and raises him onto his shoulders, looking to end the match early with this finishing maneuver. Danny starts to fight back, however, landing elbow shot after elbow shot after elbow shot. Eventually, he manages to pull himself free of his opponent's grasp and he slides down behind him before landing a Chop Block to the back of Axel's leg, bringing him down to one knee. Danny quickly jumps over Axel, landing in front of him and then shooting his foot up into Axel's throat, whilst he was on one knee, to land the Sudden Death Superkick! The audience bursts into cheers as Axel drops backwards, Danny immediately hopping onto him for the pin. One! Two! Three!

The bell tolls as the Dark Atlas member looks across the ring at his foe, Jakeb Steel outside the ring in support of Axel as his sister is in a contest against Wolverina later tonight. The prized Gem looks on with trepidation at his opponent from last week being at ringside, Skye not anywhere in sight for him as she was already out against Nova earlier as well. The odds already out of his favor, the Cheshire native isn’t showing his fears as he brings the attack right against the giant with an onslaught of punches and kicks where C5 Ion weakened him up last week. The apparent bruises hadn’t fully healed as Axel does wobble on weakened legs slightly, a great sign for Diamond. Strength however is a major difference as the Australian bends down with a head butt, flooring Danny in the process. Anvil slowly walks over towards Diamond as he raises up in the corner assisted by the ring ropes, only to have Anvil pin him against the corner with one gigantic hand against his throat. The crowd silences as the behemoth rears back with his other gigantic hand and slams it upon Dannys chest with a wicked slap. The smaller man clutches his chest with raw pain, only to be pushed back a second time. A second slap later and when the camera pans in it is very clear that Axel’s hand print is left on his bare skin.

Joey Miles: “Holy fuck, Axel just went and marked Danny so quickly into this match. That imprint is going to take a good bit of ice to heal up probably.”

Ted Cedar: “Safe to say a lot of the aggression is because Danny managed to beat Jakeb last week, we will hear from him later tonight though I have heard and one has to wonder with a loss under him how he will react.”

Danny flops onto the ground, clearly writhing in pain. He doesn’t have much chance to recover as Axel picks him up by his hair, whipping him across the ring into the far corner. Barreling in, Anvil leaps into the air for a corner splash, but Danny moves as Axel lands against pure turnbuckle. The Rubix Cube takes the opportunity given to him and dashes across the ring, bouncing himself off the turnbuckle. Coming back as Axel spins himself around, Diamond turns himself sideways with a cartwheel before leaping with a leg lariat against Anvil in the corner he dubs Towering Inferno. Anvil staggers out of the corner, Danny using his speed to get behind him and leap onto the middle turnbuckle before springboarding backwards and catching him with a tornado rotation around his head, failing to DDT him. Anvil holds Danny and brings him back up, catapulting him into the air. On the descent, Danny is met with an uppercut akin to Cesaro’s Super Swiss Death uppercut. Crumbling to the canvas, Danny is down as Anvil goes for the first cover early in the match. ONE! TWO! NO! The former World Champion kicks out of the pin at the last second. Anvil smiles down at Danny, his face showing willingness to inflict pain onto him. Dragging Diamond, Axel brings him over to the corner and exits the ring. The referee yells at the monster, but he grabs Dannys leg and drags it until it hangs over the apron outside the ring. Without a second though Axel grabs it and swings it directly against the steel corner post! Anvil does it once again much to the disappointment of the referee who yells at him to get into the ring. Anvil does as the referee scorns him, not paying attention as Jakeb nears Danny in the corner. Grabbing Danny’s legs Jakeb pulls Diamond directly against the corner with a low blow against the turnbuckle, walking away before the referee turns his back around.

Ted Cedar: “It appears that Jakeb is here to assist in the dismantling of Danny Diamond tonight, getting his own version of revenge from last week.”

Joey Miles: “This is just one of two death matches tonight. Even as a former World Champion, Danny got fucked when he got handed this match with having defeated Jakeb last week, this is just great seeing the new prissy bitch get decimated.”

The referee turns around and eyes Jakeb who holds both hands up in defiance he interfered at all, Axel smiling back at him. The referee checks on the Britain and clears he wishes to continue, before Axel peels him off the canvas. Picking him up, Axel looks to end this early, but Danny has more wits then that. The former World Champion elbows him in the side of the skull, before sliding down his back as he is freed. Turning to the ropes, Danny charges and leaps onto the middle rope, flipping backwards and executing a Pele kick to the skull of Anvil completing his Matrix Solution Version Two. Danny lands on the ground and holds his leg in apparent pain after the maneuver, aggravated from both members using the steel post against him. Danny can’t capitalize due to the pain, recovering just before the Sovereign. Danny charges at the ropes to do something, but Axel is behind him and delivers a lariat to the back of his neck that sends him tumbling against the ropes before flipping over them and falling to the floor outside! Axel follows his opponent outside as Jakeb is nearby, the referee yelling at him to keep his distance. Peeling Danny off the floor by his legs, Axel hoists him and turns around delivering a BRUTAL powerbomb against the crowd barricade to Diamond! Turning around Anvil slides into the ring and rolls back out to keep the count going. Anvil watches Danny roll over to the corner of the barricade and slowly raise himself up, before charging in for a big boot. It would work if Danny doesn’t duck and Axel instead crotches himself on the barricade! Danny struggles but slides into the ring after the three count, Axel left hanging on the barricade!

[COLOR=#FF8C00]Ted Cedar: “This might just be what Danny needs, Axel could be counTed out right now!”

Joey Miles: “This won’t be over by a longshot, I mean look at Jakeb rushing over to Axel to assist him!”

Miles is right as Steel is at his partners side helping him swing his meaty leg over the barricade as the referee counts to five. The count is slow, Axel struggles but is at the ring apron by eight and climbing up. Danny charges at Axel and leaps up with a dropkick that wobbles him but he somehow holds on, the referee stopping since the match is back in action on the ring premise. Anvil gets one foot over the rope and then the other, Danny running the ropes and coming back with a low dropkick to Axel, holding his own legs as he lands aggravating where he hit the ring post earlier. The Australian falls to one knee, using the ropes to stop from going down onto both and then pull himself back up. Nearby, Jakeb Steel hops onto the ring apron allowing Axel the time to recover, stand up and grab Danny by his legs. Parting them like Moses did the ocean to escape in the bible, Axel then stomps down hard on the groin of Danny behind the referee’s back as the legs close together akin to the waters swarming the soldiers in defeat. Scooping Danny up off the mat, Axel then hoists him onto his shoulder and lets out a low guttural roar that makes the crowd erupt in boos as he spins Diamond around planting him with the Darkness Drop! Ryu Sanu drops to the canvas. One! Two! THREE!

Laura Watts: “Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, one half of Dark Atlas, ‘The Sovereign’ Axel Anvil!”

Joey Miles: “Fucking knew this would happen, Danny might be a former World Champion but we are looking at a FUTURE World Champion before us.”

Ted Cedar: “That was quite a display, Danny stood no chance what so ever in there truthfully.”

Joey: “Wait, what is happening? Why is Jakeb Steel sliding into the ring? This doesn’t bode well for Danny.”

Jakeb looks down at Danny and smiles sadistically, his eyes showing no mercy. He points at Axel and yells DOOMSDAY! Which means only one thing. Anvil picks Danny up once again for a Brutal Powerbomb, this time as he comes down Steel catches him with a cutter he calls Fatality! Completing the DoomsDay would seem like it would be over, but Jakeb wishes to showcase something more than that from last week. Picking him up, Jakeb brings Danny over to the ropes and with Axels assist hoists him over them before locking in an AGGRESSIVE Dragon sleeper known only as The Judgement! Standing behind his partner Anvil reaches over with his height advantage and rains down clubbing blows into the chest of the Cheshire native who screams in agony, tapping out as he is bent the wrong way, choked out., and severely beaten! The referee calls for the bell, Axel finally seeing enough after Danny taps out for about twenty seconds, Jakeb responding and releasing him with Diamond collapsing outside the ring, Sanu going out to check on him. Knowing the referee didn’t reverse the decision, Anvil laughs as Sweet Dreams by Marilyn Manson plays over the speakers allowing the Dark Atlas members to leave the ring side.

Ted Cedar: What a merciless beat down by these two men, all Danny did was claim a victory over Jakeb and Axel just man handled him. If this is how Dark Atlas operates, I fear for Wolverina knowing she is going into a possible fifteen minute iron woman match with Alexis next.”

Joey Miles: “What are you talking about? That shit was beautiful and might awaken Danny to what he should be like, not the pansy he is now. I can’t wait to see Marquis Carter hopefully maul his ass at the Big Ass American Bash!”
