ME.) Maddox Paine vs. Robert Hope Empty
PostSubject: Re: ME.) Maddox Paine vs. Robert Hope   ME.) Maddox Paine vs. Robert Hope EmptySat Apr 12, 2014 8:51 pm

DING! DING! DING!

The sound of the bell signals the start of what is likely to be a very competitive matchup. Maddox Paine stands in one corner with his manager Eric Goodman and in the other, Robert Hope with his manager... or bodyguard, Cerberus! The bell kicks off the main event of Vendetta 76 as both men begin to get closer to each other as they near the center of the ring. Paine calls for a lockup, but the veteran instinct of Robert Hope knows better as instead, he nears him close enough to get a big kick to the gut! Hope then raises his right arm as Paine almost no-sold the gut kick and Hope smashes a big right elbow to the nose of the world champ! Maddox backs off, actually selling the blow this time. Hope ambushes him, not trying to let him start off with the upper hand. The deranged man forces Paine into the ropes as he begins to swing wild rights and lefts, not focused whatsoever, chaotic. Much like his personality. Focused or not, a fist is a fist, and Paine covers his head to try and shield the blows. As Maddox leans into the ropes, Robert Hope quickly steps up onto him with his boot and begins pressing back on his neck against the middle rope in a somewhat reverse-choke against the ropes. Maddox grabs Hope's boot with both hands as he tries to shove him away. The referee begins to count. “1!” “2!” “3!” “4!” - Robert backs off, raising both hands, as the referee scolds him. Robert walks backwards towards the middle of the ring as Maddox lays on the middle rope with his head sticking out of the ring. While the referee is busy scolding Hope, the big evil Cerberus is ready with an attack. The Hound of Hell walks over to the exposed Maddox as he sticks his head outside the ring and Cerberus quickly throws a powerful throat-thrust to Paine, using his right hand!

Cedar: “We all knew this would happen! Cerberus with a dirty interference!”

Miles: “The fuck are you on about? I didn't see anything. And neither did that ref.”

Eric Goodman begins to shout wildly at the referee for not noticing that. Cerberus backs off as Paine gags on the ground. Hope quickly drags the bigger man by his arm towards the center of the ring before attempting a quick pinfall.

“1!”

“2!” --

Kickout at ALMOST 2.

Paine rolls to the side as this match is just starting. Robert Hope grabs some of Maddox's long curly hair as he begins to rake him up off the ground. Hope presses the bigger man against the ropes before attempting to Irish whip him. Paine uses it to wake back up as he sprints quickly towards Robert Hope. “The Prophet” didn't expect Paine to run at him so quickly and he is unprepared as Maddox flies into the air and decks him with a very nasty looking charging lariat!

Cedar: “These men aren't new to each other. If you remember, Hope was the one who caused Maddox his first loss here! You have to believe that Paine is looking to avenge that here tonight!”

Miles: “A lot of shit's changed since then, though. Both dudes have changed a lot and Paine is now a stuck up traitor while Hope is getting better and better. Maddox has no chance in this match, not that fuckin' traitor!”

Robert Hope lies on the ground, holding his neck. Paine leaps up and throws both fists to the side and giving a big yell, making the fans cheer for his momentum shift! Maddox bends down and quickly rakes Robert Hope off the ground. Paine grabs a hold of his right arm before wringing it around his head once. “The Prophet” screams as his right arm is put in a precarious position. Maddox decides to continue the pain as he then wrings his arm again! This time adding a double wringer to it as Hope begins to scream wildly. Maddox then uses a single hand to raise Hope up in an impressive feat of strength, raising him high above the ring by his arm alone, while having it in a wringer! The fans begin to cheer as the 221 lber is high above the ring, his right arm in immense pain! Maddox finally decides to drop him onto his feet, but he keeps the arm wringer intact. Hope is used to dealing with pain, and thus manages to ignore the searing amount going through his arm. At least long enough to get near one of the ropes. He grabs the top rope with his left hand, uses his abilities to do a full backflip, and he then frees himself of the arm wringer before trying to wring Maddox's arm in a counter! Paine instantly spins out and counters again, locking that right arm in another arm wringer! Hope begins to scream, thinking that he was free but he is once again locked. Rob drops straight backwards onto the mat before spinning to the side, freeing himself again temporarily. He gets up to his feet, holding Paine's right arm as he then manages to wrap himself behind Paine in a hammerlock! He doesn't keep it locked on too much though, as he then throws his arms around Maddox's neck as he gets him in a standing headlock instead.

Cedar: “Both of these men have each other well-scouted and both of these men are very technical! A great back and forth by both of them!”

Miles: “But that little cunt Maddox is no longer in control, and thus Hope is proving to be better. He's a fuckin' veteran and it is showing.”

Maddox wiggles himself back and manages to escape the headlock before jumping up and locking in his own headlock on Hope! Hope, almost instantly wiggles out in the same manner as he then locks Maddox in another hammerlock by pressing his left arm behind him. Paine uses his free right arm to reach way behind him, wrap his arm around Hope's head, and then fling him over for a headlock takeover! Paine lands right in position as he keeps him in a grounded headlock! Almost instantly, Hope uses his veteran instinct to throw his leg up and wrap it around Paine's neck as he gets him in a scissors lock. Maddox kips up a bit, freeing himself, as he gets up to his feet as Hope sits up and Maddox quickly grabs a hold of both of “The Prophet's” legs. He tucks them under his armpit as he attempts to go for a simple toss. But as soon as he raises him up a bit, Hope uses his leg muscles to lift him self up as he springs upwards and then drops on two legs inside the ring, unfortunately for him, Maddox manages to catch his right arm and once again, he wrings it! Robert Hope has had enough of this chain wrestling with the huge man as he decides instead to pull off something he's more used to. He throws his free left hand forward and nastily rakes the eyes of the World Champ! The fans begin to boo as the referee instantly begins to scold Hope. Robert ignores the ref as he looks to quickly take advantage of the situation. He flings his head under Maddox's arm as Paine tries to shake off the pain of the eye rake as he then grabs the Champ by the pants and vaults him straight upwards, in an impressive feat of strength, as he drops him back onto the mat with a beautiful and technical Back Suplex!

Miles: “BEAUTIFUL Back Suplex by Mr. Robert Hope. What an athlete! THAT'S how it's done, Maddox, you piece of shit!”

Cedar: “Oh please Miles, that was a blatant eye rake! Robert Hope using a dirty tactic to get the upper hand here!”

Robert quickly goes for the pin.

“1!”

“2!”

Kickout at 2!

Hope knew that wasn't gonna do it but decided to try it anyway. He decides to instead pull Paine up and seat him on his ass before grabbing a hold of both of his arms, placing his knee directly on the center of Maddox's spine, and then wrenching back on it for a bow and arrow. Paine grunts a bit as Hope pulls with every force of his messiah complex. He hears the spirits telling him to pull harder. He doesn't argue as he pulls more and more. Paine grunts as Eric Goodman goes nuts outside the ring trying to get him into this match. Maddox doesn't know what to do. Goodman then realizes what he should do. His client loves the attention from the fans, and that's what will get him out of this predicament. Goodman begins to try and rally the fans! He starts a clap and pounds the ring apron, getting the fans to follow along. Cerberus eyes him from the other side of the ring in an intimidating manner, but Goodman has seen worse. Goodman claps and claps and claps. The fans do the exact same. Paine begins to feel it as Hope gets a strange look on his face before he begins to shake his head to the right and left as if saying “NO!” - but it's meaningless as Paine is too riled up! Maddox then, in a single fit of strength, flings both arms forward, forcing Hope to do a full front-flip as he lands on his ass right in front of Paine! Paine sits on his ass too, but he then kicks both legs straight up as he does a full roll backwards, landing on both feet! Hope slowly works his way up, but he uses the ropes and the turnbuckle to do so. He leans against the turnbuckle as he makes his way to his feet, and Maddox Paine quickly charges forward towards him before flying across the ring and splashing Hope right into the corner with a huge Stinger Splash!

Cedar: “Ouch! I felt that from over here, Miles!”

Miles: “Shit! This does not look good for Robert Hope! Not at all...”

Hope moans as he falls forward onto the mat, but before Paine can take advantage of it, Hope rolls right out of the ring! The fans begin to boo as “The Prophet” groggily limps around outside the ring, trying to regain his balance. Maddox shakes off the side effects of ramming his body into another mans as he quickly exits the ring too, dropping out through the middle rope. Though groggy, Hope manages to walk – or limp – away at a fairly quick speed. Paine follows him quickly, but before he can get too close, he finds himself getting walled behind 300 and 35 pounds of big red and black wall in the shape of “The Hound of Hell” Cerberus! Paine has to look up in order to be eye-to-mask with the man who is a whole 6 inches taller than him as he shows no signs of intimidation, even from this thing that was likely spawned from Satan himself! Paine begins to talk to Cerberus, but notices that he isn't doing any talking back... or anything for that matter. For his master Robert Hope has not commanded him to do so. Even then, both men are in a great confrontation. Goodman urges Paine to move out of the way, but it is too late. While he was distracted with the big red monster, Hope has already begun his sneak attack. Robert slid into the ring, bounced off the ropes on the opposite side, and he now sprints directly towards both men. He kicks both legs forward as he then throws them between the middle and bottom rope, catching “The Titan” with a sickening baseball slide dropkick, forcing him nastily into the security barricade! Paine grabs on to the top of the barricade as fans in the front row begin to pat him for encouragement. Hope shows up and spoils the party as he forces fans to back off. Referee Jack Hammer begins the count. “1!” Hope quickly takes advantage of the weakened Paine as he once again tucks his head underneath his arm, raises him by the cargo pants, and drives him down back-first with another back-suplex, this time forcing him to land on top of the barricade nastily!

Cedar: “Oh my! What a nasty back suplex right onto that thinly padded barricade!”

Miles: “Hope is one sick fuck.. I like him!”

“2!” yells Jack Hammer. Hope lets Paine drop to the ground in pain (no pun intended) as he then slyly and carefully works his way back inside the ring. Maddox grunts as he lies on his side. Hope is inside the ring, tending to his right arm which – though not very distracting – is still bugging him quite a bit. “3!” Hope begins to wildly yell a bunch of obscenities to both Maddox Paine and this very fair Massachusetts crowd! Although Maddox can't respond, as he's on the ground, the crowd is more than willing to give him their opinion, in the form of a very loud, almost chorus-like sea of boos! “4!” Hope smiles at this sea of unwashed masses who haven't yet given in to his ideals and thus, they are not “Hopeful” - barring the one fan in the audience with a sign that says “I am Hopeful.” “5!” Paine grabs the top of the barricade as he begins to work his way up to his feet. Hope quickly tries to get out of the ring to pounce again, but the referee doesn't allow it to happen! He forces Robert back, not letting him exit the ring, before scolding him once again. Meanwhile, the evil Cerberus once again proves to be a distraction. He runs up to Maddox Paine and drives him right back down with a big time Big Boot! The referee doesn't notice it as Cerberus walks away slowly, pretending nothing happened. Normally he wouldn't adhere to these human rules, but his master Robert Hope would get very displeased with him if he lost this match because of a disqualification due to him, and thus he goes along with it. “6!”

Cedar: “and yet again, the huge brute of a man Cerberus interferes in this match! I didn't expect any less, Robert Hope brought him for backup, plain and simple!”

Miles: “...and we know what happens when Cerberus and Hope combat Paine... they fucking win! This is gonna be their first match all over again, I can feel it!”

Cedar: “...and you're ok with that?”

Miles: “As long as Paine loses, I couldn't care less!”

Paine grabs his nose outside the ring as he struggles to try and beat the 10 count. Hope smiles with profound satisfaction for his evil minion helping him in this match. Paine rolls to his side as the referee counts to “8!” The fans begin to get riled up, they don't want this great match to end like this! Paine is on his side as he struggles to work his way up to his feet. “9!” By releasing all the remaining energy he has left, Paine darts up and he manages to throw himself under the bottom rope right before Hammer could count to “10!” The fans begin to cheer as Paine is safe! Hope quickly and frustratingly runs over to him before pouncing. Once again, he swings wild and chaotic rights and lefts, decking him all over his back. He is not trying to let him get an advantage again. Hope stands up quickly before dropping a big forward elbow to the back of Maddox Paine. He then pounds again with hard rights. Showing a bit of frustration in this match! Hope takes a deep breath and then begins to chuckle, allowing himself to relax. He brings himself back up to his feet slowly and drags Paine's almost dead body up to his knees. He picks him up onto both legs before wrapping his head around with his arms and turning him over, he is looking to end it with his finisher – Hope for the Future, or the Hangman's Neckbreaker! But almost instantly, Paine comes to life! Maddox spins of it and as soon as Hope turns around, Maddox drops him with a big back elbow! Hope grabs the point of his nose as he quickly works his way up to his feet once again. Maddox quickly shoves him to the ropes before whipping him across the ring. Hope bounces towards him quickly. The “God Amongst Men” didn't expect Hope to come back the way he did, as Hope quickly flies towards him with a big time running crossbody! Hope chuckles for a bit but wastes no time in going for the pin.

“1!”

“2!”

-Kickout at 2!

Cedar: “This has been a physically grueling match for both men, but Robert Hope has been in control for most of it!”

Miles: “That's because Hope is obviously much better than Maddox Paine! C'mon Robert, take him down for good!”

Robert Hope pulls the big man up by his hair once again, he leans him against the ropes, and despite the very bad outcome for whips in this match, he attempts yet another whip. Maddox runs across the ring, and Hope bends over for a back body drop. As soon as he does, Paine quickly catches his knee across his face and drives him face-first with a huge signature knee facebuster! Hitting the first move in his sequence! Hope bounces up, groggily, as Paine charges to the ropes behind him. He bounces forward towards Hope as he then flies upwards, driving the side of his right knee into The Prophet's face with a running knee lift, another signature for him! Hope drops to the mat, but he gets right back up, not wanting to lose his momentum. As soon as he gets up, he groggily limps right into Paine, who raises him high onto his shoulder and then drops him straight backwards, hitting another signature - a beautiful and nasty Standing Spinebuster! Paine throws both fists to the side as he gives a big time roar, signaling for the end! The fans begin to get off their chairs and onto their feet, cheering for The World Champ! Paine quickly shifts his focus back to his opponent. He is going to end this here and now!

Cedar: “This doesn't look good for Robert! The Hopeful may have just run out of Hope here tonight!”

Miles: “Aw shit. I always hate seeing this!”

Cerberus looks a bit concerned... if it's possible to tell expressions from behind masks, but he shouldn't be, as Hope is ready. Paine waits for him to stand up as he then kicks him in the gut and places his head between his legs. He is going to try and end it with his signature devastating Titan Bomb! He begins to raise Hope up, but as soon as he does, Hope simply does a full backflip, his legs scissored around Maddox's neck, as he flings him into the turnbuckle with a hurricanrana! Maddox's face hits the padding as he groggily turns over. Hope is on two knees, attempting to rest for a bit. He may have given up too much time, however. He works his way up to his feet and then charges to the corner, trying to continue his momentum. Paine quickly darts out of the way, though, and Hope's attempt at a corner clothesline fails as he goes facefirst right into the turnbuckle, feeling the same pain he put his opponent through! Maddox quickly pounces. He wraps his arm around Hope's neck before raising him up and planting him on the top rope, readying for some sort of a move. Paine climbs up to the middle rope, not wasting any time. He quickly wraps his arm around Hope's neck once again and then tries to yank him up by the tights, but Hope fights back. Robert, almost as if by instinct, begins to swing away, quick right hands. Paine is unable to counter this sudden onslaught and Robert Hope quickly gets the advantage! Hope throws a wild headbutt, almost taking more damage than Paine doing so, but then manages to weaken The Titan to the point where he can shove him back! Maddox lands on two feet near the center of the ring as he wobbles around a bit. Hope is given enough time to work his way up to two feet as he quickly flies off the top rope, catches Paine with his arm around his head, and drives him to the mat face-first with a picture-perfect signature Flying DDT! Both men are down as Paine's skull may be decimated and Hope's back may be as well. Maddox sold it by bouncing off the mat and then spinning onto his back! The fans quickly begin a “This is awesome!” chant!

Cedar: “I agree with these fans, Miles, this IS awesome! What a beautiful flying DDT!”

Miles: “You know what would be even more awesome? If Hope got up and won this thing!”

Robert Hope took less damage and he is the one following up. He crawls over to Paine as he quickly drapes a single arm over his chest.

“1!”

“2!”

-NO! Kickout at 2 and ¾!

Hope pounds the mat. Even though it isn't his finisher, that is one of his most notorious finishers, and he really thought it was over there! Hope realizes there is only one true way to end this, he has to hit his Hope For The Future – Hangman's Neckbreaker finisher. Robert walks over to his opponent as he pulls him right back up once again, ready to end this match. Out of nowhere, Paine manages to raise him onto his right shoulder, spinning him fully first, before running forward and dropping him right onto his back with a big time Oklahoma Slam/Running Powerslam! Paine is on two knees as he slowly works his way up. The fans are once again on their feet, cheering for The Titan's shift of momentum. Maddox stands and then works his way over to the corner slowly. He takes his time before he extends both arms to the sides once again and gives yet another big roar, he's setting up for his Striking Spear! Robert Hope grabs his back as he slowly works his way up... but just when The World Champ thinks he's ready to end this, Cerberus decides to yet again get involved. The Hound of Hell stands on the ring apron, ready to defend his Prophet at all costs. Maddox is distracted for a bit, but the distraction then shifts to Cerberus, as Eric Goodman decides to get involved this time! Goodman noticed he was going to interfere, so he ran up to him and now he tugs on the big mans leg! Cerberus very angrily drops down to the ring floor outside ready to attack Eric Goodman! Maddox is still slightly distracted as Robert Hope pounces yet again. Hope charges towards him and splashes him in the corner with a corner lariat! Paine bounces forward as Robert Hope goes for a second Hope for the Future! He spins the World Champ around and is about to drop to his knees, but once again, The Titan is prepared! He spins out of it and shoves Hope forward harshly. As soon as he shoves him forward, Paine uses the same momentum to shove himself backwards into the opposite ropes. Both men charge towards each other at full speed as Paine quickly flies as hard as he can right into Hope's ribcage, decimating him with a picture perfect Striking Spear! The crowd goes nuts for the sickening move. Paine goes for the cover!

“1!”

“2!”

“3!”

DING! DING! DING!

Laura Watts: “Here is your winner as a result of a pinfall... Maddox Paine!”

Cedar: “By GOD he did it! He avenged his loss to Robert Hope in a major way! Maddox Paine has defeated Robert Hope!”

Miles: “BULLSHIT! Eric Goodman got involved! That should have been a disqualification!”

Speaking of Eric Goodman, outside the ring, Cerberus hits him with a nasty throat thrust, taking Paine's manager out of the game! He turns his attention towards the ring, as Jack Hammer raises the tired World Champion's arm into the air. Cerberus sees his fallen Prophet as he quickly climbs up onto the apron and steps over the top rope. Paine notices him coming as “Inside the Fire” by Disturbed begins to die out. Paine confronts the big man with no fear whatsoever, ready for whatever might go down. Cerberus and Paine stand face to chest as even though usually Paine would tower over his opponents, this is an exception! Paine is angry about his manager and Cerberus is angry about his Hopeful Prophet. Both men stand ready to fight, but the crowd quickly begins to boo. Behind Maddox, running down the ramp is Hitman Alex! Maddox Paine notices the sly number one contender as he turns around and begins to focus on him. Big mistake by The World Champ. Cerberus quickly turns Paine over, quickly chokes him with his right hand, raises him high up into the air, and drives him into the mat with a quick but sickening Hellfire Chokeslam! Maddox's back hits the mat as he is completely out of it. Cerberus walks over to his broken leader as he pulls him up. Hope regains consciousness as Hitman Alex continues to keep his eyes on Maddox Paine.

Miles: “See, THIS is why I love Hitman Alex! That was a great distraction for Cerberus to take that bitch made Maddox out of the game!”

Cedar: “There was nothing great about it, Miles! ...and now what does Hitman Alex have planned for the champion?”

Cerberus and Hope exit the ring, amidst the large amounts of boos covering the arena. Hitman Alex walks over to the timekeeper's area and grabs the World Heavyweight Championship. Alex slides into the ring as both Goodman and Paine are out of it, though Goodman is outside the ring. Alex drops the title as he notices that Maddox has begun to try and work his way up. As soon as Paine stands up, Hitman Alex charges towards him, flying into the air as soon as he turns, and dropping him right onto the mat with a huge HKO! The fans give a loud mixed reaction, as though this is a sneaky move, Alex may only be doing this in the spirit of competition. Paine falls right back down to the mat. Alex walks over to the title and then holds it with both hands as he begins to chuckle nastily. Maddox is completely out of it this time. The number one contender grabs the title and then raises it up over his head, receiving another huge amount of mixed reactions! Alex doesn't care, he doesn't feel like he's done anything wrong here. The shows fades away as the XWA logo appears in the bottom corner. The last image is Hitman Alex standing over Maddox Paine!
