As we have been reporting for the past few weeks, WWE made a serious pitch to many big names in pro wrestling to bring them in for appearances at WrestleMania 30.
According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE reportedly reached out to The Rock, Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Roddy Piper and even Jim Ross.
Following the pitches, the impression given to WWE officials is that The Rock will appear at WrestleMania in some form. It could either be a live appearance or a taped appearance, but many feel Rock will appear on the show in some form.
The other name that could likely make some type of appearance at 'Mania is Steve Austin. Prior to the news that he is traveling to New Orleans this weekend, there hadn't been much to the rumors that he might be at WrestleMania, but with him deciding to make the trip, it could be an indication that Austin has accepted one of WWE's ideas.
