WWE is not giving up on Batista.

A major topic of discussion today with WWE producers was Batista, who many of the producers have avoided discussing since the feeling is Triple H pushed hard for his return, which has been a monumental flop so far.

However, many felt Batista had his "first good weekend" on the road at the house shows, and that he just needed some time to adjust to the lack of interest in his return.

"Now that Batista is a heel and they're not running from the BOOTISTA taunts, WWE feels they can play into that," one person in the meeting exclusively told WrestleZone.

"No one disagreed, because he's seen as being HHH's project and going against him right now is bad for job security."

Batista plays a good heel. All he really needs to do is get back into ring shape (and wrestling regularly like he has been will do a lot to help that) and he should be fine. Trying to push him as a top face immediately was a big misstep, but they seem to be handling him better now.

Agreed. Batista is awesome, but he's really out of shape and his ring rust is very evident. He needs to get himself to how he was in 2007-2010.
