If we can sure up our O Line and get a safety to replace Bethea, then the Jags will have nothing on us, sorry.

Not this year, but in the near future, expect it. Funny

Even this year you might have trouble with them.

If Houston drafts well, they'll be back. Just have to get Arian and that line healthy.

But which QB in the draft is a good pro candidate? Closest one is Blake Bortles I think. Manziel is gonna be a bust. Bridgewater is gonna be good but doubt he'll be like Wilson.

I agree. I think Bortles and Bridgewater could both be solid for Jacksonville.

I wouldn't say overblown, because if Wilson went down for the Seahawks, it would hurt em bad. Look what happened to the Jets when Sanchez decided he'd go from decent to shit, and what happened when the colts lost Manning for the season, thankfully we got Luck in the draft though.

To be fair, the Colts knew they had no shot of winning anything when Manning was out so that season was a wash from the getgo.

I'm sorry, but no on the Seahawks thing. The Seahawks could win 11 games with Colt McCoy. That's why he was dead last in attempts per start.

What about when Tom Brady went down and Matt Cassel won 11 games?

I would say there are about 12 QBs in the league that are beyond replacement, and the next 40 players are largely interchangeable. I love Teddy Bridgewater, and long term, I'd want him over a Michael Vick or a Matt Schaub, but the veterans may give you a better chance to win....

But a lot of teams win with one of those 40. Flacco is not an irreplaceable player. While Russell Wilson is more of a niche fit, his talent level in the abstract isn't beyond replacement. I just think the hype around QBs, and QB wins is insane.

I like how Flacco is mentioned at every turn lol. Why not mention Stafford while you're at it? He's extremely replaceable, especially on the team he's on.

Because Flacco is a good example. Funny

And plus he also mentioned how Brady went down and they still won 11 games so just chill.

I mentioned Flacco because I was talking about wins, and yall did win that Super Bowl... When Stafford wins one, I'll get right on it. Funny

The Washington Redskins have released veteran center Will Montgomery. The move opens up $1.925 million in cap space, for the Redskins. Montgomery has been a good run blocker for the team, especially in Mike Shanahan’s zone blocking scheme. But Montgomery isn’t the biggest of centers, and at times he had trouble in pass protection.

Bigger defensive lineman like new Redskin Jason Hatcher gave Montgomery problems at times, and it seems the team wants to go in the direction of bigger offensive linemen. However, Montgomery’s likely replacement at center, Kory Lichtensteiger is even smaller than he is at 6’2, 284. So maybe at center it’s not about getting bigger, but better.

It’s been reported that free agent tackle Donald Penn is visiting the Redskins on Saturday. Penn, a regular starter at left tackle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was cut after the team signed Anthony Collins. Penn visited the Oakland Raiders on Friday. but left there without signing a contract.

With the rest of the top offensive tackles already signed, this may be the last chance for the Redskins to get sign a true upgrade at right tackle for Tyler Polumbus. Polumbus had a solid season for the Redskins at right tackle, but was shaky at times in pass protection. Donald Penn is a better pass blocker.

Ok , while I will give you the Brady thing, you have to look at who the coach is too in that situation and what happened when Cassel left the Patriots, he went to shit. So it all has to do with the system, and you have to have a QB that can learn the system and be able to run it. So, the QB does have something to do with it, while it may not be as much as some people might think, I will give you that, you do need a pretty decent QB to win at least. I mean, look at Alex Smith, everyone thought he was done, but put him in a good system like he had in KC and you can really make him play good. It all matters on if the QB can adjust to that system and if the system fits the NFL. Like RG3, saying he wants to become a pocket passer, I honestly don't think that a true pocket passing system, like the one used in Indy, or Denver, or New England could work for RG3, because he is too quick to run which is why he got injured twice his first season.

But all in all it's a matter of opinion, you got yours I got mine, both have some truth to them.

It is partially "good system," but I'd say more so it's a matter of talent around them.

Won't argue about Griffin because I believe he's physically the most talented QB in the history of the league and I think he could do just about whatever he wanted.

But he has had horrible decision making abilities which, if he continues that trend, is gonna put him out of the league before he reaches 10 years in the league. And who did Luck really have around him on offense last season? Reggie Wayne before he went down, T.Y. Hilton who had his break out year, and no one else really, Fleener at times. But only good RB, we let go because he wanted too much. So Luck really didn't have a whole lot, he definitely didn't have an O-Line, yet he still had a pretty good year. So I would take Luck over RG3 any day, because Luck has more of an upside and his system is fitting. Anyways got off topic. But QB's don't always have to have ALOT of talent, as long as they have good decision making with the ball, and their WR's can catch some.

I was going to write a big reply, but meh. Too much work. Griffin's rookie year was better than either year Luck has put together. (And one of the greatest rookie seasons ever) Both have fairly similar talent around them, but Indy, even without Wayne, had more talent at the pass catching positions imo. Loved Hilton and Brazill coming out of college. Fleener and Allen are both very good options. Outside of rookie Jordan Reed, Griffin was throwing to a 36 year old Santana Moss. Luck improved dramatically in his Sophomore year, but had more turnovers as a rookie than Griffin did on a 3 win team playing hurt... So I wouldn't say Griffin makes bad decisions and then praise Luck. Both have room to improve in that area, but I'd definitely take Griffin.

With the system that Arians ran though, for a rookie it was a tough system, Griffin was coming from the same system he ran in college. Luck wasn't, last season Luck ran the same season he ran in college and he improved, and Luck had most single game, and most passing yards in a season for a rookie, and don't get me started on the fourth quarter comebacks. While both have room to improve, I'm just saying I personally think that Luck has the bigger upside because he is a passing QB and he does have some mobility also. He's like Big Ben, except can run better. Both are exceptional young QB's though, I'll admit that. And Redskins went from making the playoffs Griffins Rookie year to missing them last season, maybe I'm being a little biased, I just think Luck overall will have the longer career and will win more superbowls than RG3 will.

Winning more games and longer career? Sure. RGIII ended up in Washington, and he'd need to meet his enormous potential to turn that shit bag franchise around. But I still think he's more physically talented than Luck.

And I don't agree that Baylor's O was identical to Washington's O. Baylor was like a spread air-raid whereas Washington was a west coast O with some read-option mixed in.

I have no clue what Jay Gruden will end up doing.
