We’ve had Apple, Blue Ivy, North West and Bear (Rocknroll) - and now Gwen Stefani has given her third child a name to rival the best of them.
Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale arrived into the world on Friday and quickly earned himself a place on the only-in-La-La-Land list of children’s names.
But before you latch onto the idea that the child’s name is a life-long tribute to David Bowie, there’s a more
Stefani’s husband, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, tweeted on Saturday: "Welcome Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale 2/28/14. Bowie and Flynn = [our] mothers' maiden names."
Ok, so that doesn’t explain the Apollo part, but the Greek god of light, music and poetry is a fairly fitting muse for the offspring of music royalty.
The 44-year-old singer has been married to Rossdale, 48, for 11 years. They have two other sons – Kingston James McGregor, 7, and Zuma Nesta Rock, 5.
Presumably there’s an explanation for those too…
