Vince McMahon has been working around the clock trying to get CM Punk to agree to come back and appear on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Chicago, Illinois. While a large segment believes Punk won’t cave, he’s being offered new plans for Wrestlemania XXX.

According to a source with knowledge of McMahon’s efforts, a plan is being pitched to insert Punk in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Batista and Randy Orton, making it a triple threat bout.

Others in the company have tried to reach out to Punk but he refuses to respond. Even friends of his [in WWE] are having all calls and texts ignored. This has caused a sizable portion of the locker room to feel like the whole thing is an angle and that rather than lie to the boys, Punk is simply refusing to have any communication with them what-so-ever.

However, we’re assured the the situation with Punk is not an angle. If Punk ends up appearing on Raw, it’ll be because Vince McMahon pulled a miracle and not because the whole thing was a work. As we’ve noted several times, the original plan for Punk at Wrestlemania was a match against Triple H and everything has had to be rearranged because Punk walked out.

lol if this goes through, I wonder if Punk would receive the same treatment that Batista is getting from the YES movement if he comes back seeing how he's essentially doing the same thing Batista is doing (probably even worse honestly) and at the same time stealing the spot that Bryan should be in. But he probably won't seeing how he's a ROH guy and seeing how his fans give this man a free pass on everything.

Imo, Batista's situation is worse.
Batista left because he "didn't like the way the company was going". However, returns, goes to win the Royal Rumble for some weird reason clearly not because he's a Triple H pal /sarcasm/ and landed immediately on WM's Main Event.
Should also refer that Dave looked like he was exhausted, during the RR match, several minutes after starting his thing.

IMO Bryan deserved the Spot on the main event more than CM Punk, but Punk should've been the one winning the Royal Rumble instead of Batista. The way he was "eliminated" was stupid as fuck. And giving him a(nother) feud with Triple H was a bad idea.

Actually, Drachen's right, Punks situation is way worse than Batista. Batista also walked out because he didnt like the way the company was going (mainly the whole PG thing), returned and won the Rumble. Now CM Punk leaves for the same reason, returns and gets a free spot in the main event of WM, which is essentially the same thing as Batista. They're also both huge cockheads backstage. But I like them both either way.

But agreed Drachen, the Yes Movement's going to let Punk slide for doing the exact same thing Batista's doing just cause he's CM Punk. They'll try to find dumb reasons to excuse it too. Hypocrites.

IF Punk comes back, I assume it'll be to save Daniel Bryan, setting up for Punk vs. Triple H at Wrestlemania. I do not believe that this was the plan originally, as some reported.

And also I don't think people really care that Batista came back and got a main event spot. I think they think he sucks. He's not Brock Lesnar and he's not The Rock.

Dude...DB vs HHH is already pretty much written in stone. DB isn't getting a title match...

They didnt boo him on RAW before the rumble.

And back to the CM Punk vs Batista comparison: at least Batista honored his contract & let it expire/allow WWE to write him off TV before leaving. So technically, Batista didn't "quit."

The main event spot at Wrestlemania drove them to boos but that's not why they boo'd. Had it been The Rock doing the same thing = no boos. They boo because he sucks, not because he took Daniel's spot.

Also you're crazy. No way did they turn Batista heel to do a heel vs. heel match at Wrestlemania. Either Bryan, Punk, or possibly Roman Reigns is being added to that match. I'd guess it's about a 99& lock it's Bryan.

They need a hot babyface in the main event. If it won't be Bryan (and it looks like it won't), then Punk is as good a second choice as any.

Anyone who actually thinks after last Raw that Daniel Bryan will be added to the main event is setting themselves up for disappointment.   

As reported a while back:

"One of Punk’s biggest goals going back to his two-month hiatus last year was to be in one of the top two matches on this year’s show. Punk felt like he had earned the spot after “stealing the show” with Undertaker at Wrestlemania 29 and spent a lot of time strategizing the best way to get a top spot on the pay-per-view this year."

^ Which basically explains the motivation for doing something like this.

I personally don't care if it's Bryan. I'm fine with Punk and I'd be fine with Roman Reigns... but I wouldn't be fine with Batista vs. Orton. Not the way it's gone so far, anyway.

If Vince doesn't pull this off, I hope Punks music plays then Bad News Barrett shows up, instant epic heat

@bold part: who knows if it is for the same reason? People don't even know if it's a work or a real backstage drama.  
Plus, when was the last time CM Punk had a decent "time off"? The guy's beat up. And assuming it is not a work, I say that would be the reason he walked out, allied with the stupid decision of having a newly returned, un-prepared guy to win the rumble and take away the ME spot from at least three other guys that deserved it more than him.

While Dave, when on his first WWE tenure/run (wtv word fits better), had at least two occasions he was granted time off (not counting that injury he had).

Nonetheless, I think WWE should've already settled this CM Punk situation (again: if it isn't a work) because the guy is actually someone that people like and want to watch. If it is, in fact, a work to allow CM Punk to rest, then WWE got it quite good.

I hope they resign Punk and add him to the main event of WM purely for the fact it's going to come across as a train wreck on TV. After watching Raw this past week, clearly the majority of people are not interested in this match and the storyline, so far, sucks too.

So unless they want tens of thousands of people booing at WM 30 for 25 minutes straight, they better hope they get him back and add him in because in the eyes of the fans, they have no one to cheers for in that match.

And I don't like Batista purely based on the fact that he shouldn't be in the main event slot at Mania (I didn't like it with Rock either, for the record, and I voiced that at the time). He's been gone for several years and shouldn't have been thrust in like that. This dude is meant to be a n "A Class Star" yet he's boo'd half to hell each week. The fans can't even cheer for Orton almost in sarcasm, as they don't really like him either, but at least he's worked for his spot in the main event.
