There had been some recent reports that Richie Steamboat was cut from WWE's developmental program. The Observer is reporting that Richie is also still under contract apparently, although he still remains sidelined with a major back injury that could still wind up ending his career.

Poor kid, that's a rough break. I hadn't seen much of him before the injury, but he seemed competent in the ring. I hope he can come back from this, it'd be great to have another talented legacy performer around.

In EWR I always brought he and Joe Hennig up together as a Tag Team. Still think it could work.
