Evan Flare vs. Razor Xtreme Empty
PostSubject: Re: Evan Flare vs. Razor Xtreme   Evan Flare vs. Razor Xtreme EmptySat Aug 10, 2013 11:51 pm

After the opening series of events that are entrenched in today's professional wrestling scene are over … the thirty-second long intro video, the opening pyro, and the announcers half-heartedly welcoming the viewing audience … We kick the show off with action. Razor Xtreme, who is in a tie for last place in the Vendetta World Title Tournament, takes on Evan Flare, who is in a tie for the lead. The show goes to a quick break and the action will start when the broadcast returns from it's first commercial.

When we return, the broadcast is in the typical camera well view showing the entirety of the ring from one-side as it slowly zooms in. In the corner furthest away and to the right, we have Evan Flare, who stands with a sort of calm nonchalance. In the opposite corner we have Razor Xtreme, who has a bit of a dry, weary look to him. The broadcast switches camera feeds to one more close to the ring as each competitor does their last-minute stretching before the bell. The referee looks out at the time keeper and confirms everything is ready. He walks into the middle of the ring and motions to both men that the match is about to begin. The Richmond, Virginia crowd rises to it's feet as the referee raises his hand jubilantly and drops it down to make the signal.

DING DING DING

Each man looks at the other for a moment before they start to move. The crowd noise dies down a little bit before either man is ready to begin. They both come to the middle of the ring and reach for a collar-and-elbow tie-up, but Razor shows his superior strength off and throws Evan backward, rolling from his back all the way over the top back to his knees. As Evan gathers himself, Razor smiles at him initially, and then at the fans. The crowd responds with boos. Evan looks surprised, initially, as he looks down at the mat and shakes his head with subtle disbelief. He uses his right arm to push himself back to his feet as Razor motions him back in, which brings forth more boos from the crowd.

Evan once again walks toward him, this time with shorter, more secure steps as he holds his arms in the air as if he's going to go for another tie-up. Razor takes a half-step backward to put himself into the center of the ring. Evan gives Razor a head-fake before shooting for Razor's legs and attempting a single-leg take down, but Razor's defense is excellent as he kicks his feet back and drops down on Evan before quickly transitioning into a simple headlock. Razor squeezes away at Evan's head but he's not doing any real damage. The referee mouths some things to each of them, but the camera doesn't pick it up. Razor moves his legs in close for superior control as Evan can do nothing to stop Razor. Razor lets go of the headlock and spins away from Flare, leaving him stomach-first on the mat as he's quickly back up to his feet. Evan turns toward Razor and looks again with question as Razor motions for him to get back up. Evan again is slowly back to his feet as he walks toward Razor. Razor holds his arms in the air looking for a collar-and-elbow tie-up and Evan reluctantly does the same. Razor shoots low and grabs Flare's right leg with a hook around it as he reaches up and hooks his other arm around Flare's neck. He drops to both knees and swivels his hips as he connects with a Fireman's Carry that sends Flare crashing into the mat as Razor quickly dives toward him and positions him in a Chin Lock.

Ted Cedar: It's all Razor Xtreme so far.

Adam Dennis: Razor does have superior size and strength – it's not surprising at all that he's managed to open the match-up with some offense. Let's see if he can keep it up.

Razor Xtreme is breathing a little heavy as he flexes his muscles to try to inflict more pain. From the seated position, Evan uses his arms to lift himself off of the ground so that he can try to work his feet underneath of him so he can properly counter the move. Slowly; inch by inch he moves his feet underneath him as he slowly turns to relieve the pressure of the hold. Razor, to this point, has slowly raised with him to keep what pressure he can locked in. Evan turns slightly so that his right arm is within striking distance, reaches back, and connects with a vicious right-elbow to the mid section that obviously connects and causes pain, but does not break the hold. Flare tries with another elbow, this time forcing air to shoot out from Razor's lungs, but still doesn't manage to break the hold. Flare tries for a third time and this time Razor cannot keep his grip any longer, as the elbow lands flush and knocks Razor back. Razor turns and bends over in pain, clutching at his stomach, as the crowd once again rises to it's feet. Flare takes a gather step to catch himself from falling as he turns and bounces off the ropes. With Razor bent over, facing the opposite direction, he can't see Flare coming as he leaps over the top and grabs Razor to connect with a neck-breaker variation.

Both men hit the mat at approximately the same time as Razor's focus shifts from his midsection to his face as checks his nose for blood. Evan his the mat fairly hard himself, but was definitely more prepared to land. He's quick to his feet and tries for a left-footed short-kick to Razor's chest, but it's caught by Razor using both hands. Razor uses his knees and the balance of having control of Evan's body ahead of him to get to his feet without the help of his hands. The camera catches panic in Evan's eyes as he has absolutely no control. Flare hobbles around, trying to stay on his feet. Razor backs him toward the corner and stops about a foot and a half away. Razor pulls his leg in toward his chest and throws it into the air, causing Flare to flip backward into the air and land chest first on the top turnbuckle. His momentum from bouncing off the turnbuckle sends him flying to the outside of the ring where he lands on the black pads back first. The crowd lets out a huge gasp as they're certain the spot was botched and Evan is legitimately hurt. Razor milks the crowd for a second as he glares out at them, before he follows him to the outside against the direction of the official.

Adam Dennis: Holy … Razor just flipped Flare out of the ring!

Ted Cedar: I just hope he's not hurt.

Razor steps through the ropes and casually drops down to a chorus of boos from the 11,000 fans in attendance. Razor relishes the moment as he looks out at the crowd with a grin before he turns to Evan Flare, who is lying motionless on the floor. Razor reaches down with his right hand and grabs a handful of Evan's hair and lifts him up. Evan graps at Razor's hand trying to get him to let go but his hands won't budge. Razor puts his left hand behind Evan's head and takes a decisive forward step with his right leg, allowing him to transfer his weight so he can throw Evan face first into the metal pole as he bounces off with a sickening thud, the crowd lets out another huge gasp. With his right hand, Razor palms Evan Flare's face and pushes him into the guard railing. The crowd gasps again as Razor continues to attack Flare on the outside. The referee sticks his head out from between the ropes and moves his arms around wildly, screaming for Xtreme to return to the ring, but he gets no response. Razor continues his assault by grabbing the lifeless Flare, who is cut above his left eye, and dragging him toward the ring. The referee moves backward under the assumption that Razor was going to continue the match inside the ring. Razor, however, was just clearing space. Razor takes Flare up and lifts him up in suplex position before lunging forward and having Flare land on his stomach and face on the mat. The referee starts screaming again and warns Razor that he'll be disqualified for not listening. Razor holds his hands up and somehow manages to find a surprised look and asks “what did I do? You didn't even get to a one count!” as he laughs at the official and walks back toward Evan. The referee starts his ten count.

Razor once again picks up the lifeless body of Evan Flare. He drags him back to the corner and walks to the other side, before reaching through and grabbing Evan by the wrists. He steps backward and pulls Evan toward him with extreme force, sending him crashing face first without protection into the metal pole. The referees count is nearing it's end, so Razor finally agrees to the referees wishes and throws Evan into the ring as he rolls a few feet from the strength but lays unconscious after losing the momentum. Razor is quick to follow as the referee gets in his face and scalds him for insubordination. Razor ignores his warnings and walks right past him without a second thought. Razor takes the opportunity to kick him a few times in his head near where  he's bleeding. He drops down to his knees and goes for the pin.

2.

Kickout from Evan Flare at 2 ½

Adam Dennis: Just stay down.

Ted Cedar: You know damn well he's not going to stay down!

Razor seems a bit surprised, but also a bit relieved. He's not through yet. He goes into a full mount (similar to how you'd look after a Lou Thesz Press) and starts taking huge rights and lefts, just pummeling him. The referee once again moves toward him to warn him that his actions are unacceptable, but he continues anyway. After about eight punches, he's had enough and moves out of full-mount. He picks up Evan again by the hair before kicking him in the midsection and throwing him again across the ring. He flips around like Shawn Michaels selling the big boot from Hulk Hogan from the force of the throw as Razor continues toward him. The fans are, at this point, in a state of consistent booing. Once more Razor reaches down and grabs Evan by the hair and picks him up and again he palms his face and throws him into the corner. Razor backs away and charges back toward him looking for a clothesline, but Evan gets his feet up and kicks Razor in the face, sending him backward caressing his face. Evan grabs the top rope on either side of him and pushes himself to the second rope, as he dives toward Razor looking for a clothesline of his own. He's caught in mid air as Razor spins and connects with a Spine Buster that leaves Evan once again motionless on the mat.

On both knees Razor glares at Evan Flare who has some blood on his face but has a wound that's no longer bleeding. Razor grabs both of Evan's legs and picks himself up. He pulls his legs toward him to get closer to Evan, as he attempts to turn Evan to lock in the Xtreme Walls. Evan fights off the attempt, though, by pulling a leg free and land a succession of kicks to Razor's face that sends him sprawling backward. Evan turns to his stomach and tries to use his arms to push himself to his feet, but he's having some trouble. Sensing that his window is closing, Evan rolls to the outside and tries to gather himself. Razor turns and doesn't see Evan so he's caught off guard, but Evan's not hiding. He's bent over with his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath. He's wiped some of the blood from his face on to the ring apron. Razor takes a few steps toward Evan and acts if he'll attempt a suicide dive, but Evan moves out of the way and Razor stops in his tracks. He looks out at Flare with a look of superiority as Evan starts to breath easier. The referee comes to the side of the ring and tells Evan he has to get back in the ring. Razor is right beside the referee yelling something as well. Evan looks up at Razor and his expression changes. He reaches up and grabs the middle rope and pulls himself up to the apron as the referee moves Razor away from the side of the ring. Evan grabs the top rope, now, and uses it for momentum as he slings himself over the top and lands on the mat.

Ted Cedar: Evan looks to have shaken off some cobwebs. Maybe we'll see something special here.

Adam Dennis: Has he shaken off some cobwebs or did Razor finally hit him so hard he forgot what was going on?

They both move toward each other, this time with Evan more decisive. They end up in a collar-and-elbow tie-up but Evan works his left arm through quickly and turns to Razor's back, putting him a Hammerlock. Razor Xtreme drops his left knee to the mat and swings his head and shoulders through to the other side, temporarily putting more pressure on the hold, but allowing him an easier way to break the hold. With his right arm he grabs Evan's right leg and flips him over the top, connecting with his second Fireman's Carry of the night. This time, though, Razor doesn't let go as he turns with Evan and as Evan lands on the mat, Razor lands on his chest and works him into wrist lock using his neck against him. They struggle for a moment before Evan realizes the weakness of the move: Razor is unprotected from his back side. Evan reaches up with his right leg and connects with a knee to the spine of Razor, immediately breaking his hold. Razor falls off to one side as Evan rolls away and picks himself up.

Razor is on one knee grabbing at his back as Evan is on his feet. Evan takes a few steps toward Razor and connects with a drop kick that Razor could only get one hand up for and therefore couldn't block, as it knocks him off his knee and on to his back, Razor is near the ropes and looks to use them to help him up. With his back to Evan, he uses each rope slowly to try to help him back to his feet, but as he reaches the final one and turns around, he's caught with Evan's foot as Evan connects with a front-feed uppercut-swing Inziguri that snaps Razor's head back violently as he falls back at the ropes and manages to catch himself using his arms. Evan isn't on the ground long as he looks to capitalize on what little momentum he's managed to find. Evan grabs Razor Xtreme by the left arm and tries for an Irish Whip, but the attempt is countered as Razor plants with his right foot and spins sending Evan Flare for the Irish Whip instead. Evan bounces off the ropes at a tremendous speed and comes back and ducks a clothesline attempt from Razor. Evan keeps going and Razor turns to attempt another offensive maneuver.  Evan leaps into the air and finds a foothold on the ropes, his right on the top rope and his left on the middle, as he uses them to propel himself at Razor, spinning in mid-air, connecting with a shoulder-tackle that sends Razor Xtreme backward.

Ted Cedar: Finally Evan Flare has something going here!

Adam Dennis: Indeed he does, this offense seems to have caught Razor Xtreme off guard.

Evan Flare stands in the middle of the ring as the crowd rises to their feet. He looks to be scouting Razor Xtreme as once again he's slow to his feet. Razor uses each rope slowly to prop himself up and slowly he turns toward Evan. Evan takes a gather step and then a plant step as he attempts his Spinning Backfist maneuver, which is caught by Razor Xtreme who follows this up by reaching his right foot up and landing a kick flush with the side of Evan Flare's head and then using the hold he has on his wrist to pull him in closer and land a knee to the midsection using Flare's own momentum as the primary source of force. With the one hand he has free Evan reaches down at his midsection as Razor looks on with a grin. Razor lets go of Evan's wrist with his right arm and uses it to connect with a 12-to-6 elbow to his back, sending him from a standing position down to both knees. Razor grabs his wrist again with both hands as he positions it awkwardly behind Evan's head. He holds it in position as he now uses his right hand to grab his face and push the back of his head into the mat causing his head to land on his wrist as Razor lets go of his grip at the right moment. Razor once again steps through the ropes and drops down to the floor. He reaches a few feet inside the ring and grabs Evan and drags him toward the turnbuckle. He throws Evan's right wrist into the metal pole as it thuds against it and creates a ping noise that is heard throughout the arena. Razor does it a second time and the same sound is created as Evan's face grows sour and he lets out audible sounds to show his pain. With both hands Razor grabs Evan's hand and positions it next to the pole. He takes a few steps backward before charging forward and lifting his knee, attempt to crush Evan Flare's right wrist, but at the last moment Evan pulls his hand out of the way and Razor's left knee smashes into the metal pole.

The crowd once again pops as Evan has once again shown signs of life. Razor falls to the ground and clutches at his knee as the referee hands over the ropes yelling things at him that are unsurprisingly being ignored. Evan crawls away from the ropes to try to gain some security, not knowing what was going on outside. The referee starts his count and slowly both men get closer to their feet. At the count of five, Evan is fully to his feet and is surveying the situation as he looks around, the crowd cheers. Razor is up at the count of eight but he's hobbling around and seems genuinely unfocused. Just as the referee is counting nine, Evan takes off and dives over the top rope at Razor Xtreme, who half catches him as they both fall to the mat just inches away from the announcers' table. The camera catches both Adam Dennis and Ted Cedar shocked as they sheepishly stand and look on. The referee doesn't look much more composed. The crowd starts to chant “XWA! XWA! XWA!,” but they're competing with other parts of the crowd that are trying to chant “Holy shit!” The referee pauses for a moment before realizing he has no choice but to start his count again.

Adam Dennis: What a stupid move! He might have won!

Ted Cedar: I think he would have... but this brand of wrestling IS Evan Flare... and he's not going to change.

Adam Dennis:  Well Evan Flare WON'T be World Heavyweight Champion if he keeps making mistakes like that! Take your points and go the fuck home!

Both men get up near the seven count from the official and roll back into the ring... Neither man was interested in milking the count. They both use their arms to get to their feet but neither one has an easy time. When they finally both make it to their feet, they stumble around, with neither one able to look secure on his own two feet. Slowly they both gain composure as they inch toward each other and start throwing punches. Razor starts with a right that lands, but Evan counters with a right. Razor tries for a right that is blocked. Evan tries to counter with a right, but that is also blocked. The pace starts to return. Razor lands a right, but immediately after Evan hits a right. Razor lands a right after and Evan returns it again, this time quicker yet. Razor tries for a right hand, but it's blocked by Evan who fires back with his own that lands, sending Razor a half-step back. He moves back to his original position and tries again for a right hand, but it's again blocked as Evan fires back with his own that lands, this time Evan follows Razor as he takes the half-step and doesn't let him have it back. With Razor on his heels, Evan fires another right hand and knocks him back further. Another right hand that knocks him back further still. He uses both hands to grab Razor by the left wrist as he uses his legs as the strength and his left-forearm as the pressure to push Razor back into the ropes. He uses Razor's momentum to Irish Whip him.

Evan takes three short gather steps as he follows him toward the ropes and tries for a clothesline, but Razor ducks it and keeps running. He takes two shuffle steps back toward the middle of the ring, before taking another gather step before his plant-step before spinning to attempt his Spinning Backfist, but Razor ducks that, too, and continues on. Evan turns once more and attempts a dropkick on the returning Razor Xtreme, but is caught in mid-air as Evan falls flat on his back. Razor pulls Evan's legs in so he gets a deep hold and begins to turn him, looking for the Xtreme Walls. Flare uses his arms to block Razor's first attempt to turn him over, but he used his momentum and arm positioning against him as he quickly tries to turn him the opposite direction and has it partially locked in. The only thing Razor has left to lock it in completely is to drop his knee onto Evan's head. After another brief struggle, he does.  Evan screams in agony as he reaches out at the ropes that aren't that far out of distance, as they're not quite in the center of the ring.

Adam Dennis: You see, Ted?! This is what happens when you don't take advantage of your opportunities... Wrestling for the fans NEVER pays off. Congratulations, Evan, it was a nice attempt, but it's over. We're done. See ya next year!

Ted Cedar: That was a helluva counter from Razor Xtreme, but this one isn't over yet!

Razor leans into the submission to create as much pressure as possible, but Evan refuses to give up despite the constant inquiries from the referee. He crawls and scratches his way toward the ropes without hesitation. With his right hand he grabs on as he screams in pain one more time. Razor picks his knee up and attempts to drag him away from the ropes, but he can't budge Evan Flare's grip. The referee starts his count and Razor finally lets go and drops Evan's legs. He gets into a screaming match with the referee yelling things like “out of line!” before the referee tells him to shut up and continue the match... Which Razor didn't respond well to. He pushes the referee and the referee threatens to disqualify him, but does not. Razor finally takes the warning seriously and backs off. He turns his attention back to Evan Flare, who hasn't moved an inch since Razor let go, including his right hand being affixed to the bottom rope. Razor grabs him by the hair and picks him up off the ground, this time his grip comes from the rope without much effort. He pulls him into the center of the ring and puts his head in between his legs. He reaches down with both hands and locks them around his torso and lifts him up, before throwing him back toward the ground, connecting with a Power Bomb that smashes Evan Flare's back into the ground as his head snaps backward off the mat.

Razor looks at the crowd with his now patented grin as he takes off toward the ropes and leaps into the air, grabbing the top rope with his hands and planting both feet into the middle rope, he propels himself backward and connects with The XtremeSault, leaving Evan Flare clutching his midsection. Razor doesn't go for the cover – perhaps his intent is to deliver more damage, or maybe he doesn't think he's done enough to get the pin fall. He walks toward the ropes and steps out to the apron, before making his move toward the corner. The referee follows him and instructs him that he's not allowed to be on the top rope, which once again brings screams from Razor Xtreme who feels the referee has overstepped his boundary. Razor climbs slowly to the top rope, not because he's hurt, but instead to milk the crowd. He reaches the crowd and throws up the Rock On pose before he puts his feet into position and jumps off, looking to connect with a Diving Elbow Drop. At the last moment, Evan Flare moves out of the way, leaving Razor to land on his previously hurt right knee and right elbow. The crowd rises to it's feet once more.

Adam Dennis: I can't believe I have to say this to Razor Xtreme too! You can't pass on opportunities like that! You can't take chances when the match isn't yet won!

Ted Cedar: Well once again Razor has looked for a kill-shot and once again, perhaps out of instinct alone, Evan Flare has lived to fight another day.

Both men are slow to move, but the referee doesn't bother to start the count. He bends down to check on Razor and he does the same immediately after for Evan. Both men gradually make the needed movements to get to their feet, and neither one seems to have a second on the other, but once to their feet Evan moves more quickly and lands a left-legged kick to Razor's bad right leg, buckling it as he falls to one knee, Evan follows this up with a Spinning Backfist that catches Razor Xtreme flush across the face as it shoots him backward at such a velocity it almost sends him out of the ring.  Evan moves quickly and follows him, using his long blond hair to pick him up. He drags him into the middle of the ring and knees him in the stomach, causing him to bend over in pain. He puts him in gutwrench position and lifts him up, before dropping him down and connecting with a left knee to the back of his head. Apparently Evan was running on fumes, because no sooner than he hit the move, he collapsed next to Razor, who folds up like an accordion before inch-worming back flat on his back.  After five seconds, Evan turns on to his stomach and starts to crawl at Razor. He moves incredibly slowly. Before finally reaching his right arm over his body.

2.

Kickout at 2 ¾ from Razor Xtreme.

The crowd lets out a huge gasp as everyone in the arena was sure, despite the delay that it was over. Evan turns to his back and looks up at the top of the arena with a blank expression on his face. Razor breathes heavily but doesn't yet move. Evan slowly picks himself up, seemingly having found his second-wind. He grabs Razor by the hair and picks him up again and again puts him in Gutwrench position. Evan lifts him up, but Razor counters and drops out of the move with his cheat against Evan's back. He hooks Evan's arms and attempts to go for the Gringo Killer variation, but Evan unhooks his arms as Razor lifts him backwards and lands on his feet with his chest inches from Razor's back. He thinks quickly and wraps both arms around Razor's waist and pushes him toward the ropes. He bounces off and rolls through, with his grip still intact. Evan arches his back and throws himself backward, connecting with Douglas William's Chaos Theory, but does not do the neck-arch to go for the pin.

Razor is groggy and can barely tell where he is. He stumbles to his feet as Evan waits for him. He turns toward Evan and catches a kick to the midsection. Evan throws him into Gutwrench position and lifts him up and drops him down, connecting with The Blood Reign. He goes for the pin, as the referee slides into position.

DING DING DING

Laura Watts: And the winner of this match, by pinfall, Evan Flare!

Ted Cedar: Another great performance from Evan Flare!

Adam Dennis: It was, I'll admit, but I can't help but feel like Razor Xtreme snatched defeat from the jaws of victory tonight...like Razor Xtreme snatched defeat from the jaws of victory tonight...

The crowd is thrilled with the outcome as they are all on their feet cheering for Evan Flare. The referee raises his hand as Evan looks out at the crowd with a big smile on his face.

Evan Flare begins to walk down the ramp back to the back as the camera turns it's attention to Razor Xtreme, who has found his way to his knees as an evil look overcomes him. With his left hand on the back of his head, he looks at Evan Flare with contempt and disdain...

The broadcast goes to commercial before material for the next match begins.

[OOC – 1. Hoping to build more with Razor and would like to see more of him either at Endure or after that. 2. Not my best performance. Sorry.]
