What is your favorite Japanese cartoon show?

Dragon Ball Z. I grew up with that show.

Rurouni Kenshin, twas my childhood.  

Among others that could get HMs: Angel Beats, Psycho Pass, Mirai Nikki, Trigun, .hack//sign, etc.

<----------- One Piece. I've been binge watching this as of late. I've never enjoyed an anime so much.

Also, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, Angel Beats and of course Dragon Ball Z.

Dragonball Z, probably.

Apart from the obvious ones like Pokemon and Digimon, I haven't watched much anime at all. Mainly because for some reason I find it creepy as fuck.

My favorite one of all time would be Eureka Seven.

I do go back and watch Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Campoon and The Universal Gundam series.

Dragonball Z, Pokemon, Sword Art Online.

Also Rellim, I used to watch it. I loved it as a kid too, but never finished it or watched it past a few episodes, I need to rewatch it, maybe I'll like it.

The start of One Piece is a bit of a drag due to 4Kids doing the first part of it.  Doesn't ruin the story, but the way they did it was just meh and made it hard to stay interested.  I mostly skip back and forth with One Piece though, never been a huge fan of long anime.  Takes too much work to catch up if you stop watching for a while.

I know what you mean. I feel that way towards Pokemon, haven't watched since the 3rd region (Hoenn).

I just remember as a kid I'd watch One Piece before DBZ on Adult Swim/Toonami and I enjoyed it a lot.

Good thinking, I read the manga when I was a kid, though I haven't gotten past the Impel Arc, though I have seen bits and pieces from episodes beyond that.

Has anyone here ever seen Tiger Mask?

Apart from the ones that I've already mentioned I've watched, obviously.

Edit: I'd prefer movies to TV shows.

Edit2: I've already seen Grave of the Fireflies. That's about it.

Sword Art Online was good to me

They have the entire thing in Japanese with English subs and the first season with actual English actors.

Howls Moving Castle. I absolutely love that movie. One of the first anime movies I watched and it stuck with me. Plus Christian Bale is the english version of Howl.

There's also Spirited Away.

Ohhh he wanted a movie. Spirited Away for sure. As a kid, omg that movie scared me.

For movies, I highly recommend any and all of Hayao Miyazaki's work.

Right, I've added a bunch of anime films to my "films to watch" list. I'll get to them eventually.

Dragon Ball Z is of course one of them. Akame ga Kill is another anime that's new, and I loved it. If you're looking for movies, try watching the Madoka Magica movies. It's a little slow, but it's very dark.
My favorite anime would have to be Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
