Back on June 5, 2013 it was revealed that Warner Bros. Pictures had given up their rights to Jason Voorhees to Paramount Pictures in order to (edit) “share” in distributing The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan’s next picture, Interstellar. The news was huge as it took Warner Bros.’ hand out of the Friday the 13th pot, giving Paramount the ability to move on the long-gestured 13th Friday the 13th. It was beyond huge for us horror fans…

Here we are six months later and Warners has already released a teaser from Nolan’s Interstellar, and I think it would be fun to see some footage from the film the studio wanted to badly they’d give up the rights to Jason Voorhees for.

The film opening in theaters November 7, 2014 stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, David Oyelowo, Wes Bentley, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, Topher Grace, David Gyasi, Mackenzie Foy, Bill Irwin, Timothée Chalamet, and Matt Damon.

“A group of explorers make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.”
