My Fox Tampa Bay reports that a Pinellas Park movie theater saw a sexually explicit scene instead of Disney's Frozen on Friday. There were technical difficulties that delayed the start of the movie, so the theater tried to play another cartoon, that's when the wrong movie began playing on accident, although it was only for less than two minutes.
Lynn Greene of Largo, who was at the Regal Cinemas Park Place Stadium 16 with her grandchildren at the time, said: "They put in the filler, it looked like 'Steamboat Willie,' the old Mickey Mouse cartoon, and then all of a sudden it goes into this other scene. It seemed like forever when you're trying to, you know, cover a little guy's eyes. I didn't have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good. You're talking, what, a PG-rated movie to all of a sudden have an R-rated scene up there for little children? My concern is that there should be safeguards in place so that this doesn't happen again."
The theater offered free movie tickets to those in the audience. Regal Cinemas said their staff is working to make sure it doesn't happen in the future.
