As if the much-anticipated Survivor Series pay-per-view wasn’t already overflowing with intriguing matchups, WWE.com has learned that WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Goldust, The Usos and a mystery partner will battle The Shield and The Real Americans in a blockbuster Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match!

Featuring many of WWE’s most exciting and explosive Superstars, this talent-laden contest guarantees high-octane action at WWE’s fall classic. The Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match stipulates that the teams will compete in a five-on-five tag contest with the added twist that Superstars are eliminated individually — via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count-out — until one squad has no members remaining. Making the WWE fan favorite contest even more exciting this year is the fact that all the combatants are already quite familiar with one another.

Although Rhodes and Goldust defended their titles against Jimmy & Jey Uso and The Shield’s Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Hell in a Cell, the WWE Tag Team Champions more often have found themselves fighting side-by-side with The Usos. Facing common enemies in The Hounds of Justice and Zeb Colter’s patriotic pair, the foursome of brothers figures to be a dangerous and cohesive unit come Nov. 24. The unknown fifth member of their team adds an element of mystery to the proceedings. Who could it be? Who should it be?

The Shield and The Real Americans also have common goals — or targets — and should form a daunting Survivor Series squad. Although Rollins, Reigns and United States Champion Dean Ambrose haven’t exactly played nice with their fellow Superstars in the past, their intensity and pack-of-dogs mentality are perfect for a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. If the black-clad trio manages to stay on the same page with Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro — who have shown impressive teamwork in their own right — this will be a big, strong, mean and technical team.

Mystery partner? First names into my head are Rey, Christian, or Big E Langston. Don't think it'll be a huge shock. Honestly, I'd mark for Sheamus, but I don't know where his recovery is.

I don't think Sheamus would be ready, but Rey seems like a logical guess. Big E could challenge for the Intercontinental Championship and it seems as if they're weary on bringing Christian back.

Also, didn't they say they were gonna go with Shield and Wyatts vs Rhodes family and Usos?

It was supposed to be Punk/Bryan/Rhodes/Usos vs Shield/Wyatts but that obviously changed
