If you really think about to all the WCW main eventers or big stars that came to WWE, 80% of them failed. But was that really their fault or was it WWE just wanting them to fail.

Buff Bagwell- Gets put in the most awkward match ever. get released real quick

DDP- was made into a stalker and gets ass handed to him in his first match.

Goldberg- gets momentum killed at Summerslam in the Elimination chamber

Scott Steiner- gets a huge pop for his debut, has an awful match with Triple H and gets depushed to the lower mid card.

I think they tried to do something with Scott Steiner but threw him under the bus when Triple H couldn't work a good match after coming back from injury.

And they had Goldberg wrestle in long matches. WWE knows how to protect people. They must have wanted to set him up for failure.

I would hardly consider Buff Bagwell a big star or a main eventer.

DDPs first match on PPV was at the Invasion PPV in which his team won, hardly say that got his ass handed to him.

Summerslam 03 didnt kill Goldberg's momentum, as he won the title a month later.

okay maybe it wasn't his debut, but he had a match with Taker where taker destroy him. Heck even Takers wife was beating him up.

Yes Goldberg did win it a month later, but leading into the Chamber Goldberg was gaining a lot of momentum. Tho many say he wasn't being the Goldberg of WCW and was kinda just a poor wwe version. But He was getting a huge pop in the match and heck he was starting to be like he was in WCW, just on a path of mayhem. Then Triple H wins the match. Yeah Goldberg won it the month later, but he really wasn't the same or satisfying as it could have been if he won it at Summerslam. Just like Punk. Yeah Punk won it a few months later after that stupid cash in from ADR, but Punk's momentum was never the same.

Blame HHH, he never really liked putting others over

There probably was a lot of burials among the WCW people. WWE resented them, no question about that.

I don't think it was intentional, but WWE prefer to mould their own guys which they really couldn't do with any of them as they were established.

And DDP may have won his first match, but he had been a stalker for like the two months prior and during that match, got beaten by Taker through the crowd lol. Poor dude never had a chance.

Of course they set them up to fail. What other way would they rub into WCW people's faces that they won the war.
