Former Power Rangers star Jason David Frank has once again expressed his desire to fight WWE Superstar CM Punk. At this weekend's New York Comic Con, the Green Ranger was asked about the potential match-up by a fan, and had this to say:

"Let’s get that going. I love CM Punk, he’s a really nice guy. But he did say in his panel that he would fight me and you can’t say that in the fighting world if you don’t mean that you’d fight me. Let’s get a contract going! I also want to spar Anderson Silva for a fundraiser but I don’t hear back from anybody!”

Frank spoke to the Roman Show earlier this June, when he first put out the challenge to the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era. Both have experience in various martial arts, and Jason David Frank has fought MMA professionally.

He clearly needs to do more research if he thinks CMP is a nice guy.

I love Punk, but in a straight fight JDF's the favorite. That's precisely why they'll never fight.

^They won't fight because Punk is a bitch and will use the "WWE won't let me fight you so  we can't" as a defense.

@Razor, you can't run away from your failure.

^Lol, that's a little harsh, but WWE really wouldn't let him compete in a legit fight. WWE tried doing legit fights awhile ago, and it made their roster look pretty bad. If Punk did anything but dominate the other guy (whether it's JDF, or someone else), it would reflect badly on WWE in their minds.

The only way we'd ever see Punk fight JDF is if JDF signed a developmental contract with WWE. While I wouldn't mind seeing that happen, it certainly won't.
