| So Burdur a couple of years ago (without anyone’s consent) changed the scoring settings for defenses allowing 0 pts from 10 pts to 8 pts and Allowing 3-6 pts from 7 pts to 6 pts.
My position is that if a shutout occurs (which is rare in the NFL) a defense should be rewarded for it. Burdur says that he doesn’t like that allowing a TD loses you 6 pts from 10 to 4. Which to that I say that it doesn’t really matter, because you’d have 4 pts if your defense allowed a TD regardless of your starting score whether we did 10 or 8 for 0 pts allowed. So it’s nothing more than a psychological trick on the brain.
So here’s what the two options are for scoring.
Option A: 0 pts allowed: 8 pts 3-6 pts allowed: 6 pts 7-13 pts allowed: 4 pts 14-20 pts allowed: 2 pts 21-27 pts allowed: 0 pts 28-34 pts allowed: -2 pts 35+ pts allowed: -4 pts
Option B: 0 pts allowed: 10 pts 3-6 pts allowed: 7 pts 7-13 pts allowed: 4 pts 14-20 pts allowed: 2 pts 21-27 pts allowed: 0 pts 28-34 pts allowed: -2 pts 35+ pts allowed: -4 pts
Which do you prefer? |

| Option A is so much more balanced. Like a set (small) difference for every extra full TD score allowed.
See: -2 drop from top to bottom. Nothing is OP, nothing is stupid. |

See: -2 drop from top to bottom. Nothing is OP, nothing is stupid. Not balanced at all. Shutouts are extremely rare and deserve high compensation for when they do occur. There’s nothing OP about something that rarely occurs. |

| I voted for Option B, which is currently winning 3-1. Is Burdur gonna ignore the voices of the majority to stick to his own agenda? |

| Needs at least majority of the league voting, so 9 people gotta vote (even if it's a 5-4 final decision) |

| If the defense is able to keep the other team from making any points at all than that should get 10 points in FF |

This dude knows full and well 9 people aren't even gonna bother to look at this topic. He just wants an excuse to not change things that he's against, tbh. Why do we still let him set the league up? |

| 5 people voted, not 3. Also, a league where the majority of people don't come on the site where the rule change poll is happening would be the kind of league that allows that. |

Lol. That would mean there would just have to be one more person voting Option B for it to be official because it wouldn’t matter if 9 people voted once Option B has 5 votes. |

| I think changing anything other than what kind of league it is (PPR, 0.5PPR, standard) is kind of cheating, honestly. No one looks at those points and assumes it'll be what the normal point system is. Now, what Burdur changed it to isn't *that* big of a difference so it's not like when Digg made the QBs worth a billion points and didn't tell anyone... but I'm voting for B. |

| I told everyone about the rule change And it was because everyone complained about how OP the defenses were a few years ago and how shitty it was to lose 6 points after 1 TD is allowed We need just 2 more voters here Poll ends in 2 days |

| Btw this will still be different than the standard defensive scoring The default one is dumb as hell. You'd lose -3 points for like every FG in the early stages and then -1 difference between like 21-28 points or whatever. It's silly how all over the place that scoring system for defense was That's why I changed it to what Option A is. SO balanced I'll say this, 10-7-4 (and then the rest balanced) ain't bad tho. Now to see if we get enough voters as I like to run a fair league here |

| Again, if you don't change the rule because not enough people even vote, I'm tanking the draft and ignoring the league this year in protest of your dictatorship. |
