Dwight Lights vs Rellim Strife
Grader: Nobody

Rellim no showed. Not 100% sure what his status here is. I guess contact someone on the GM team if you want to be booked dude. However, a solid effort from Dwight Lights, gets him the victory here without contest. Thanks for showing up dude. We appreciate the effort!

John Hudson vs EG Deal
Grader: Jay

John Hudson
Not going to lie to you, I found the whole knife thing to be pretty hilarious. Making fun of the stip being over the top kind of gives you points in my book. You also did a good job of working some personality into the characters in the beginning. People normally just show heel/face alignments by the crowd reactions. Adding a bit of dialogue in there, and having Deal just lay you out was a good start. Deal using the weapons to his advantage kind of caught me a little off guard. I expected Hudson to use them to try and level the playing field while Deal just tried to pummel them. Definitely got some points for being unconventional. Also, I have never seen anyone set a kendo stick on fire and beat someone with it. More points for originality. Would have liked to see a little more action, kind of flesh it out a little bit, but what you have, I can't really complain about. Work a little on your description. I saw "in one motion" thrown in there a handful of times. Try to use different phrases.

EG Deal
I like the way that you start out playing right into the size difference. This was kind of how I expected the matches to go, to be honest. Hudson trying to use the weapons, and EG Deal just kind of laughing off the attempts. The rest of your match seemed to follow the same formula. Hudson tries to use the cane, gets it taken away. Hudson tries to use the belt, gets booted in the face. I will have to say that I was a bit disappointed with the match. There wasn't a whole lot to it. Definitely not your best effort. What you have is good but it was definitely lacking something.

Verdict
Without a doubt this one goes to John Hudson. He had the edge in every area that I was looking at, and his match had more action in it for sure. I am hoping that EG Deal can bounce back at KoX. This was far from the best I have seen from him. Hopefully something came up that made him cut it short. John Hudson, however, congrats on making the finals. I wish you the best of luck sir.

Razor Xtreme vs Axel Anvil
Grader: Nobody

Axel had some real life issues come up. From what I have seen though, the dude has been on top of letting us know when he can and can't be booked. I commend him for giving a shit about the fed in spite of everything he has going on. Lesser people would have just disappeared without a word. Anyways, Razor showed. He steals the win.

Kanimaniac vs Mack
Grader: Nobody

Double no show by a couple of top guys. I know Kani has had some stuff going on. Don't know what Leo's deal is. He no shows half of what he is booked for. Not even sure how many times this makes. Dude, if you are just going to sit in the chat all day and then no show anyways, just quit the damn fed.

Shade vs Tyler Lawson
Grader: Razor

Lawson
I loved the epic sword-fight (cane, bat fight) in the beginning. I always thought of that happening but I never imagined how it’d work, up until I read this. So kudos on that. Loving the flow off the start, from the bat-shot to the ribs to throwing Lawson out of the ring. I seriously love your creativity dude; the whole plastic belt thing made me fall in love with writing lol. Good selling points for mentioning that dropkicking on cement hurts the attacker too. Ok, once again, creativity. I loved the whole ordeal with the master lock. Great spot with the hip-toss into the barricade. “You read that right, all the pain in his back is seemingly gone.” I assume that has to do with his multiple personas? "It's that Samael guy. Shade's pretending to be him or something..." Thanks, Dennis. In that case, you did a great job with portraying his multiple personas gimmick. Also, lol at the Goldberg burn. How dare you use a Wii Gamepad! You’ll have to play Pokemon on one of those eventually. I agree that “shoving head between legs” sounds weird. I liked the sudden realization that the “twitch” was him changing characters haha. I was a bit disappointed with the description for Eternal Rest V2, but mainly because I don’t know what it is. Besides that, I can’t complain. Great ending as well, leads well into selling. I have to say, ending a match with a Toxic Spike on a Wii U is definitely a first. Overall, you had a very impressive match. I honestly can’t say anything about it, it was good. I can’t pick on anything. Keep it up TJ, you underrate yourself a lot lol.

Shade
I liked the little Dante reference in the beginning. Interesting way to start a match, I must say. I haven’t yet fully understood this Shade character, but I will say I like him. Also, “titties” indeed. You and TJ had somewhat the same idea with the sword-fight concept, though his played out a lot longer haha. I LOVED the whole part with the little boy being upset by Shade attacking Lawson. I feel as if your description could use a LITTLE work. It’s still good, just some parts feel a bit rushed. For example, “As Shade begins to smash the title against Tyler’s skull”, also selling may come into play as how Lawson managed to get up fairly quickly from the belt shots and kick Shade’s knee. I will say your entertainment is superb. Really great spots, just neat little things like the frying pans to the ears, the whole “choking Lawson before hitting him with a paddle”. But even so, I will bring it back to description, which is still kinda lacking. Not because it’s the most important thing, but because it makes it seem a bit less rushed. Also, the thought of Shade giving ass-gumballs to orphans is quite strange. “Too simple; not my style” pretty much explained it all to me there, good job lol. 50 Shades of Grey reference, neat. Screw you, fan with the Razor Sucks sign, I hope you have trauma forever. Like I said, awesome spots, the taser was not expected. Decent ending as well. I loved how you explained that only one of his personas was shocked, very creative overall.

Verdict
Not gonna lie, you both put on very good matches. I know you both usually bring yourselves down a fair amount, but this was very good quality out of both of you. Nonetheless, I have to give this one to Tyler Lawson. His flowed a bit better, you both had superb spots, and his had a bit more of a story to it – he managed to portray Shade greatly as well, that seems fairly difficult to do. Anyway, both of you are great. Good luck to you both in the future.

Drake Dysfunction vs JHalc
Grader: Caleb

(Considering my last grade was freaking huge, I’ll try to tone down on this for both my own sanity and for the grader. Let’s get this shit started.)

Drake Dysfunction
The first con that I spot is a no-description on a crossbody. Toward the beginning, there is a double crossbody, and the following line is just “they get to their feet at the same time.” I assume you rushed it or something and I don’t want to lecture you on selling and description because I know you know what to do, but that is just kind of boring and could have been expanded. As I continue the match, and I don’t want to be a dick, I am completely bored. There is an utter lack of selling and nothing is really sticking out. Though the description has picked up and the flow is not too bad. I must admit, I did chuckle at the line “Yes, but Drake is also familiar with how an elbow to the side of the head feels” after saying that JHalc is used to how the D-4 feels did make me chuckle. The flying triangle wasn't set up very well and could have been done much better... And the finisher wasn't really anything spectacular. Not your best showing man and I'm pretty sure you realize that.

JHalc
I'm liking the start of this. It is flowing very well with the good use of description for even the simple set-ups. The three slaps to Drake were played off greatly and helped set up Drake losing his temper. I'm liking this. Your set ups are nice and smooth and your selling is pretty spot on. My only complaint(and this is minor and will vary depending on who is grading) is that it's getting just a tiny bit tedious around paragraph 5. It's described so well, the selling is superb, and it is flowing.. But nothing has really 'stuck out' yet. Which I'm sure is about to change. Except for the clothesline that makes JHalc do a complete backflip to his stomach. That was pretty cool. And LMAO at the Sandy Ravage/CHEATER reference Funny. Commercial breaks are realistic and nice to throw in every now and then. I might have to do that more often. After the commercial break, you continue to do flow, selling, and description very well. You played the lionsault off pretty well, which led to the action really picking up and becoming more entertaining. I'm tired of kissing your ass and telling you how you did pretty much everything right, so as far as your ending moments are concerned it was a good way to finish the match but really predictable. I know you and Chilly have been doing this for quite some time, but if you guys are trying to maintain a not-exactly-heel persona, maybe you guys should cut back a little bit on the "always winning because of the other interfering." Maybe just my opinion on the matter. Otherwise, solid posting sir.

Verdict
No surprise here. I pick JHalc. His match contained superb flow, description, selling, it was more entertaining, and even though the ending was predictable, at least it reminded us of current stories going on. Drake seemed as though he just wanted to get a match done and post it because I know he can do better. Therefor, I'm not going to sit around and criticize him and tell him instead that I hope he can bounce back with a tough chamber match.

Caleb Spires vs Jerod Barnez
Grader: Nobody

Looks can be deceiving. Both men posted but it looks like Caleb has conceded this match considering that he put little effort into it. I have the utmost respect for him for not no showing and at least getting something up. Jerod Barnez takes this one though via Caleb's concession.

Grades are posted.

Let me apologize for their lateness. I was a little busy to grade the Hudson/Deal match and everyone was kind of just stuck waiting on me. As Razor mentioned, the card should be up some time today. I don't imagine that the small delay will have an impact on the PPV deadline, given that we add an extra week in for writing anyways.
