How did you become a fan of your favourite team?

I've been a Bills fan since I was little kid, because my Dad. My Dad is a huge football fan, and honestly I think I've gotten him more into it over the past years. We're actually going to our first Bills game in Toronto. We go to a lot of games together, and this is going to really special.

Been a Jets fan since I was really young. I also liked the Ravens a lot during their playoff run that eventually led to them winning the SB in 2000 (main reason being I liked Tony Siragusa a lot).

Started to not like the Jets as much some time during the Pennington era. Never liked Pennington / didn't like the team as a whole as much at that time and around then the Ravens had a bunch of my favorite players: Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis, Reed, etc... Still liked the Jets but the Ravens became the #1 team I followed for a couple years.

Brett Favre to the Jets renewed my love for the team. Been my clear favorite since that season. Ravens have still been close at #2 and way above my liking for any other team in the league.

I honestly don't even remember how it happened. I remember back when Tecmo Superbowlk was about for NEW, my brother has always been a 49ers fan and I seemed to gravitate towards Dallas, mind you I was too young to even know who was good back then and seems theyre who I have stuck with.

I started watching Football consistently in 2010. Some girl told me her favorite team were the Saints so I started watching them and I fell in love. I've been a fan ever since.
Before that I never watched Football but I supported Dallas cause my family does.

It's kind of a weird story why I like the Jags. I live no where near the state of Florida & Jacksonville was relatively a new franchise when I started following. And I credit a video game that started my love affair with the team . It all started when I started playing Madden (Madden 98 to be fact), & I had this strange obsession with predator like animals when I was smaller, so I would always pick the Panthers, Bengals, or the Jags. So to make a long story short, I liked the Jags uniforms better, so I eventually just followed them instead.

When I was  kid I was forced to pick between being a Colts or Broncos fan. I went with Broncos cause I had watched a game and Jake Plummer did good. Plus I lived in Utah at the time so Denver was just one state over.

When I was like 5 or 6 I found out about football and also found out that pretty much my entire family was made up of Redskin fans at the time.  So to be with them, I was like, GO REDSKINS.  Even though football bored me to tears back then.  Didn't really start watching till I think it was 07' that I really started paying attention.  Stuck with them stubbornly through quite a few bad seasons.  When they do badly I usually support teams that are my families favorites.  Like my dad is a huge Chargers fan, so I tend to support them if they're still in the Playoffs long after the Skins are done for the season.

^ That's exactly why I support the Cowboys. My whole family loves them, so I root for them. Unless they face Saints cause Saints are my team.

Well back when I was in elementary school, everyone was into football here, so it was nearly impossible for me to not get into it. Plus I liked sports. I live in Washington so yeah, I like the Seahawks.

I also picked the Jets for being the local team but I really don't remember why I chose the Jets over the Giants. I was young so it could have been based on anything.

I hear that people in New Jersey are usually Giants fans but New Yorkers usually root for the Jets, is this true?

I was the first one in my family to get into the NFL. My brother was a die-hard Hurricanes fan and my dad was a Michigan fan. I got into the NFL watching Sunday Night Football and playing Madden. My first team was the Colts, just because they had the best guys in Madden. Then through watching more games I slowly became a Steelers fan. I was watching Tommy Maddox and I really liked the more physical style of play. In 2009 I started to really get into the NFL more. I was watching games religiously. I had just moved back up north from Florida so I was "home," and considering the move and my lack of real fandom prior to that point, I decided it was OK to switch teams to the local team. "OK" isn't the right term. I felt like I was supposed to like the Lions. Everyone locally hates the Lions (I didn't realize they were just dumb at the time.)

This is pretty true. I definitely think there's more Giants fans in NJ, and I know for sure there's a lot more Giants fans in my area at least... especially when they won the SB last decade... bandwagon
