Like I think I said before, I like Mayfield 2nd most after Rosen in this QB class. Darnold has solid potential/upside but I'm putting him #3 I think.

You haven't done much research.

The Steelers have solid starters on pretty much every position other than ILB.

And I don't look at other rock drafts when I make mine, I just look at the team needs and look at their transactions from free agency and go from there.

I think Mayfield is the guy the Jets like atm according to some reports.

We definitely don't need a WR. Brown/Smith-Schuster/Rogers doesn't need an upgrade at all.

Artie Burns has room to grow but he's pretty average. Haden's good but he won't last much longer. I'd definitely be fine with us going CB first round.

ILB would be nice too but what we really should have done is sign a relatively big-name free agent for a year.

Seems like Josh Dobbs is probably going to be the successor to Ben, but I'd like to see us draft a QB and see if we can't get a competition going between him and them. Haven't seen that much promise from him so having some competition might be good for him.

All of which were drafted in later rounds too. Pittsburgh has done a nice job developing WR's they've found later in the draft, so it would be a strange move to see them draft one in the first.

Sadly we'll have nothing after that pick though. If the Jets really want Mayfield I don't think we should've traded 3 top draft picks to move up to #3

Depends on the team. If your team is sorry (the Jets) then it's probably best that they sit.

What I meant is that, any of you think that any of these guys could step in day one and be a decent QB.

A lot of them can if they get put in a situation where they can succeed. A problem with a lot of these guys that come into the NFL is that they get thrown in straight away on bad teams w/ shitty coaches and never develop.

A lot of these guys have a lot of risk involved with them, they'd probably be exposed by being thrown out there right away.

Now the talk is that Browns will select Josh Allen and the Giants will pick Sam Darnold.
