Fantasy Booking the Royal Rumble (Long) Empty
PostSubject: Fantasy Booking the Royal Rumble (Long)   Fantasy Booking the Royal Rumble (Long) EmptyThu Oct 20, 2016 7:37 pm

(Important pre-Rumble happenings)

-It's essential to the success of this angle that WWE presents Roman Reigns on Raw as the favorite to win.
-Similarly, it's essential that on Smackdown John Cena playing up his path toward 16 is the primary focus of the show.
-On Raw, Stephanie McMahon must stack the odds against Seth Rollins, making him #1 overall.
-On SD!, Carmella injures Nikki Bella and knocks her out for a while.

---

The rest of the Rumble show:

Singles Match
Brock Lesnar d. Shane McMahon

WWE Heavyweight Championship
AJ Styles(C) d. Randy Orton

WWE Universal Championship
Kevin Owens(C) d. Chris Jericho

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
TJ Perkins(C) d. Jack Gallagher and Noam Dar

Raw Women's Championship
Bayley d. Sasha Banks(C), Charlotte, and Nia Jax

SD! Women's Championship
Carmella d. Becky Lynch(C) via DQ.

Brock beats Shane in a special attraction match to help Royal Rumble attendance. Owens beats Jericho through mischievous means to continue their feud. Brock will face and defeat Kevin Owens for the title before Wrestlemania, clearing up Owens for a final bout with Jericho at Wrestlemania to end their feud.

AJ Styles defeats Randy Orton clean to keep him hot.

Noam Dar and Jack Gallagher are used prominently in the month leading in. Maybe their appearances will help sway some more from the UK to make the trip. TJ Perkins stays champion until someone like Aries or Ciampa comes up from NXT.

Bayley wins the title here to set up for a Wrestlemania match with Sasha Banks. Charlotte will be set-up for a feud with Dana Brooke. Nikki returns and costs Becky the match via DQ, helping to set up for Nikki vs Becky at Wrestlemania.

The key moments:

Before the match starts, Dean Ambrose is laid out backstage by AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson. Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon are on the scene quickly and start talking about a replacement.

Sami Zayn enters to a huge pop to save Seth Rollins from the former Wyatt Family members.

John Cena enters the ring and cleans house, eliminating both Harper and Strowman right away, and Baron Corbin shortly thereafter.

Tye Dillinger gets a huge pop entering as #10. As Tye Dillinger is making his entrance, Seth Rollins is eliminated by Triple H who comes from the crowd. He destroys him with the Sledgehammer.

Sheamus and Cesaro get into an argument, giving James Ellsworth the opportunity to eliminate Sheamus.

The Club eliminate Tye Dillinger, Heath Slater, and James Ellsworth working as a unit. They're both eliminated by Big Cass when he enters at 16.

Reigns comes in and dominates everyone, but only gets one elimination at the time, knocking out Cesaro.

Samoa Joe enters next at 19 and clears house. He throws out Ziggler, Rhyno, and Kane. Afterward, there are no elimination until Bray Wyatt enters at 27.

Dean Ambrose enters at 24 limping along the way, only to be attacked again by AJ Styles on his way to the ring.

Bray Wyatt enters at 27 and eliminates Zack Ryder, Enzo Amore, and Kofi Kingston right away. He also eliminates Rich Swann as soon as he enters the fray.

Big E enters at 29 with the full mic entrance. "Ohhhhhhhh San Antonio.... don't you dare be sour! Clap for your world famous Royal Rumble winner... and FEEL. THE. POWER!" As he comes out, Ambrose is bloody trying to make it to the ring. E goes out of his way to help him up and help him get to the ring.

E throws out Samoa Joe. Big Cass throws out Rusev. E throws out Wyatt.

---

(The Finish)

The Miz enters at 30, giving us a final group of Big Cass, Big E, Dean Ambrose, John Cena, The Miz, and Roman Reigns. There is only one "heel," but hopefully the booking leading in and the eliminations have what figures to be a smarky crowd treating John Cena and Roman Reigns like heels.

The Miz uses Maryse's help to spray Big E and throw him out, but Big Cass follows closely and throws out the cheating Miz.

This gives us (hopefully) two true babyfaces (Ambrose and Cass) and two babyfaces that the fans don't want to see win but think will. (Cena and Reigns)

Cass runs wild, but catches an AA out of nowhere from Cena and then Roman clotheslines him out.

Ambrose runs wild, but catches an AA out of nowhere. Reigns clotheslines him in a spot that looks identical of the one that put out Cass. The camera doesn't catch it, but Ambrose hangs on. Only one foot hits the floor. Cena and Reigns start trading punches and walking toward the ropes opposite Dean. Dean finally pulls himself back into the ring. He comes charging looking for a double clothesline to knock them both out, but Reigns sees him coming, ducks, and runs to the ropes opposite the action. Cena goes over the top and is gone.

Reigns comes back and hits Dean with a Superman Punch. Hopefully this leads to huge boos from the crowd. Reigns lines himself up in the corner, does his roar, and sets up for the spear. He comes charging in, and Dean catches him in mid air with the Dirty Deeds. Dean picks him up and throws him over the top rope.

---

(The Aftermath)

Dean is set up for a Wrestlemania clash with AJ Styles. John Cena will tease retirement before heading into Mania for a Career vs Career match with Undertaker where Taker passes him the torch of the leader of the locker-room. Roman will bounce back and be named the number one contender against Brock. Seth will chase down Triple H.

Seth Rollins vs Triple H
