He could do it but I think he's way better suited as a heel.
I'm wondering if this thing with Jericho will lead to his face turn tho... I don't really think it should but I can't imagine where else it's going.

true, but they might turn him more tweenerish. Still a honest jerk but to both heels and faces. He'll be someone that can go after seth rollins if Seth wins sunday.

you can be obnoxious and still be likable. People see it as not giving a flying fuck about what he said and they like him for that. He works better as a heel, but I think Owens is talented enough to pull off a more face leaning tweener

Not to just compare him to the guy he's currently working with but I think he could be a Chris Jericho type of face with maybe some more edge to him / less joking.
Edit: With that said, I still much prefer him to stick as a heel.
