In an interview with Talk is Jericho (via Wrestlezone), Sandra Toffolini, the sister of Nancy Benoit, gave some details about the Chris Benoit murder/suicide that previously hadn’t been mentioned in the press.

– She said she noticed “changes” in Chris as early as 2004. She thinks “roid rage” and the pressure of winning the WWE title at Wrestlemania 20 added to the aggressive behavior he would show towards Nancy.

– She said that Nancy was “brutalized” by Benoit’s roid rage. She added that the concussions Benoit suffered over the years and the loss of his friends like Eddie Guerrero And Ray “Big Bossman” Traylor played a part in his behavior as well.

– She claimed that before the murders, Chris ran a Google search on the easiest way to break someone’s neck.

– She claimed that at one point, Nancy got a restraining order against him.

– She said that Daniel Benoit did not have Fragile X syndrome and was perfectly healthy.

– She said that Chris killed Nancy on a Friday, then killed Daniel on Saturday. He killed himself on Sunday night by rigging the pulldown machine in his gym.

This happened nearly 10 years ago, can't we just stop mentioning this? The guy is dead, there is no benefit in dragging the name Benoit through the mud again and again, especially considering he still left a living son - who's a wrestler - who's most likely still suffering repercussions for something he didn't take part on.

From what I know this is her first time talking about the murders. I listen to some of it and She wasn't bitter or sounded like she held a grunge. This interview took place back in the beginning of the year, so it wasn't like this interview was two days before or two days after the anniversary. Jericho just so happen to release it on the day. This is a ugly scar on the face of wrestling and it's something that will probably always be brought up. There is no "yeah that is in the past lets not talk about it"

And I have to agree with both her and Chris about the hall of fame thing. You are out of your mind if you think he will or should go into the WWE hall of fame. His legacy is forever damaged by that, it is something you just can't ignore. Even if they wanted to it would be a media nightmare for the WWE.
