According to TMZ, Price (Prince Rogers Nelson) has died at the age of 57. His body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early this morning. He had a medical emergency back on April 15th, which caused his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinois. He did appear at a concert the next day to assure his fans he was okay, and sources said that he was battling the flu. He did recently cancel two shows, which were also due to health concerns

Prince became a breakout star back in 1982, due to his album 1999. During his career, he sold over 100 million records, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for Purple Rain in 1985, won seven Grammys and performed at the Super Bowl in 2007.
