I hate these awards. The idea of negative awards is already bad to me, but half the time they're nominating and giving awards to movies and people that don't deserve it, especially actors/actresses.
Sandra Bullock won the Razzie for worst actress the same exact year she won the Academy Award for best actress. They were for two different movies, but anyone who thinks her performance in All About Steve was that bad, or even bad at all, is stupid. The movie, I can understand people disliking, but that's the thing about these awards. They take movies that are considered bad and throw up the actors/actresses from those movies because the films are bad. Not every bad film has bad acting. Fuck, Sylvester Stallone got a worst actor nominee for a film where he played HIMSELF. They even gave George Bush a worst actor award ... for his role in a documentary. That's not even acting, it's just him being fucking him. Worst supporting actor and actress also went to people from that documentary. Jesus fucking Christ.
Plus, the first ever Razzies nominated what is considered one of the greatest horror films of all time for numerous awards, that being The Shining. The Blair Witch project, which has been widely acclaimed, got nominated for worst film.
They also gave Eddie Murphy worst supporting actress for a role where he played a woman. I'm not sure that's how that works.
In short, fuck these awards.

I like the idea of the awards, but if what you said is true, then that's just silly. But I like the idea of shaming people with awards.

There are bad movies, yes. And some people have been good sports about it. I just think it's stupid as fuck to give negative awards to people who did great simply because they were in a movie that was bad. If you wanna give a bad movie a bad award, fine, but don't give a good actor or actress a bad award for doing a good role in a bad movie.
And also, learn what the fuck acting is, because being filmed for a documentary is not acting.

Oh, another note: Apparently the people who choose the winners and all that such don't actually have to watch the movies that are nominated.
That applies to the Oscars as well though.
And this awards are never about the actual worst film, they go to average films that are really popular.
The awards have worst in the title. If they wanna target those films, call them the most underwhelming or some shit. That's been heavily criticized by many people, though, the fact that the Razzies always target really popular films that are considered bad instead of the ones that are actually the worst, including the lesser known stinkfests.

They target the ones that make the most money but also have bad scores half the time as well.
