Additionally, WWE’s main YouTube channel, “WWE Fan Nation”, saw more than 575 million views in January alone, making it the top channel in YouTube’s (non-music) entertainment and sports category. It was noted that WWE pushing exclusive YouTube segments was a big factor in views, citing the recent Brock Lesnar / Dean Ambrose parking lot attack as a good example. Jayar Donlan, WWE Senior Vice President of Digital and Social Content, said the minute-long clip saw more than one million views in the first 24 hours it was posted.
The article also goes on to say exclusive shorts such as “WWE Five Things” and the UpUpDownDown gaming channel are driving more people to watch, and WWE also uses the site to successful tie in WWE Network programming as well. Click here to read the full article.
