It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhnney is prepping to write and direct the Minecraft film for Warner Bros. The film is currently being scripted, but it seems that the studio already expects big things from the massive video game property.

“We are currently in the scripting stages,” producer Roy Lee told Collider. “And also doing visual designs to show the studio what the world will look like.”

Lee previously worked on the film The LEGO Movie, so hopefully that bodes well for the Minecraft film. In the interview, Lee mentioned that the production company was aiming for the same target audience as Jurassic World, which could mean that the film will be a little more mature than The LEGO Movie.

Lee also said the film would have the feel of a "live action version of a Minecraft experience," and takes place in some kind of multiverse, which makes it sound a bit like Tron, where real people are absorbed into a computer world.
