There are rumors online that NXT Champion Finn Balor may have suffered a leg or ankle injury at Friday’s NXT live event Nashville, Tennessee during his match with Samoa Joe in the main event.

Fans noted on Twitter that he was leaving the venue on crutches and was helped into a car. He is scheduled to work the rest of this weekend’s live events.

WWE has confirmed that Finn Balor has suffered an ankle injury and he will be evaluated on Monday.

Balor wrestled Samoa Joe at the NXT live event in Nashville on Friday night. There were rumors going around on social media on Friday night that he had been injured and he was walking around with crutches and an ice pack on his ankle.

Balor has been pulled from this weekend’s live events.

UPDATE x2: According to Pwinsider.com, the word going around is that Finn Balor suffered a slightly sprained ankle at last night’s NXT house show. He was held off of tonight’s event as a precaution, but did attend the event on crutches. Balor will be checked out Monday at the WWE Performance Center in order to confirm the extent of his injury
