With the pre-season coming to an end in a few days and the regular season beginning less than a week from today, it's time to discuss the NBA season.

I'm starting to think the Knicks might be competitive this year. In the weak East they could be back in the playoffs if Melo stays healthy and plays well. Idk about Porzingis tbh... hopefully he can at least play an efficient role on the team as a solid stretch 4.

^ Porzingis did a very nice job of doing just that in our first game. Man the Knicks look really solid from top to bottom. I was impressed with Williams & O'Quinn in preseason and it translated over to game 1. Although the Bucks seemed pretty bad/uninspired.. they probably overachieved last year as well so I could see them being a pretty bad team all season. Melo was one of the worst players on our team today (doubled all night so he did a good job of not forcing too much and letting the guys that were hot do their thing)... obviously he'll be way better than that so we should be able to compete with tougher teams. I know it was only one game but I can easily see us being a playoff team again.

You're in the East, of course you can make the playoffs. Blazers whooping that ass vs. the Pelicans. 70-43 at halftime.

| I told you besides Lillard he was the one to draft in fantasy. CJ dropping 37 on night 1.

And actually, Porzingis wasn't really efficient like I thought. He was doing well from what I saw but I missed part of the 1st quarter where he apparently started 0/3 shooting. Besides that he shot 3/8 and hit a 3 and I liked what he was doing from what I saw. But MAN is he weak.

Isn't this already more wins that the Knicks got all last season? So it's already a success Chicago appear to have come out firing, already putting Lebron in his place. I think they might have a strong season. And the Spurs were just letting the Thunder get warmed up. We'll start that whoopin' against the Nets

We might make the playoffs just cause the East is weak. But Calderon needs to stay off the court as much as possible. Grant & Galloway are pretty nice. Last game Galloway should've been shooting more while he's hot from 3. Also our bigs in general need to get stronger on the inside. O'Quinn has looked good but man he can't even go up strong for a dunk. Porzingis too and he's way taller. O'Quinn's issue is possibly being overweight. Seems like he gets really tired after a while. But both of them look so weak and clumsy in the paint offensively, absolutely no explosion out of them.

I think they'll make the Playoffs. It's only 3 games, but they don't appear to be utter ass this season, plus the East Conference is easier too.

I was telling people before the season that Hassan Whiteside would be one to watch, and through 4 games(11 reb, 3.5 blk, 76% FG, two double-doubles) I'm not going back on that prediction.

Whiteside is a blocking animal. Also I had him on my fantasy team last year, and therefore became a fan of him.

Seriously, if we just severely limited Calderon's minutes we'd be a pretty damn nice team this season.
